AWAITED MEETINGS: SENSHI

The Senshi paced in the front yard of the shrine, wondering why they were called to the Shrine in the first place, but the look on Serena's face when she had delivered the orders had made them unable to question it. The seven Senshi, excluding Setsuna, were present with the Chiba and Moon families scattered in places around the yard and keeping an eye on them at all times. The only people that were currently not present were Serena and Darien and Drake and Suzanne, and it had made Serenity and Gaea wonder what had gone on. The shrine was closed to visitors as per the order from Serena, and Rei had made it known to her grandfather when the gates were closed.

"Serenity, I'm sure that they'll be fine." Jonathan stated as he rested a hand on her shoulder.
**They should be safe. ** Jonathan thought as he pulled Serenity into his arms. **I don't know what we'd do if we lost them. **
"They left about the same time as us." Serenity whispered as she curled into her husband's warmth. "I'm just worried about them."
**Where are you guys. ** Serenity thought with a small whimper. **I hope you guys are safe. **
"The boys are with them." Edward stepped up to them with a smile. "I'm sure they'd call if something had gone wrong."
**It's been an hour, where are they? ** Edward cursed in his mind. **I don't remember them doing something like this before. **

Everyone was broken from their thoughts as the sound of a car engine came to a stop outside of the shrine, and Rei opened the gates, to see familiar red BMW parked on the streets below. Rei breathed a sigh of relief, as the four missing individuals stepped out of the car, and made their way up the shrine stairs. A bright red flush had covered Serena's cheeks as she looked down at her feet, Darien's arm resting around her waist as their siblings followed shortly behind them. Rei raised an eyebrow as Darien and Drake stopped whilst Serena and Suzanne giggled at something between them and ran up the stairs, causing the duo to shake their heads.

"Rei, what's going on?" Makoto asked as she looked up. "Who is it?"
"They're here." Rei stated as she took a step back.
"Thank god." Serenity and Gaea whispered, as they breathed a sigh of relief.

Serena and Suzanne were first to make their way into the shrine, followed by Darien and Drake as Rei moved over to close the doors to the shrine once more. Serena allowed a yawn to escape, and raised an eyebrow as Suzanne chuckled whilst Darien and Drake shook their heads knowing that their eyes would give it away in a bit. The group of four had gone home first before travelling to the shrine, as the girls rested against the wall at the far end of the courtyard, a small tint of red gracing their features.

"Girls, what happened?" Serenity asked as she raised an eyebrow.
**Are they blushing? ** Serenity thought as she took a closer look.
"Nothing, mama, Suzanne and Ness decided to buy something earlier, without mentioning it to me." Serena answered with a smile, as she elbowed her sister. "Unfortunately I got surprised when said gift landed on my lap, courtesy of Suzy, then we had to go home for a bit to check on something so we got a bit delayed by that."
"The blush included." Suzanne chuckled and danced away. "I don't think I've seen that colour on your cheeks before, Sere."
"Suzanne!" Serena shrieked in shock.

Suzanne chuckled and darted behind Drake, as her sister became as red as a tomato, whilst Tyler gazed between his parents and Aunt and Uncle wondering what was going on. Darien pulled Serena into his arms, both thinking about the present from Victoria's Secret that was lying within its package on the passenger seat in the car. Serenity and Gaea shook their heads as Serena buried her face in Darien's shirt, before a throat was cleared and a dreaded question was asked.

"What about the Stars?" Michiru asked as she glanced between the siblings. "Surely they should be here as well?"
**I wonder why they aren't here. ** Michiru thought with a frown. **Serena was friendly with them before. Even despite the fact that we warned her off from them, so many times before, so what's changed? **

Serena growled at the mention of the Starlights, whilst Suzanne bit her lip to refrain from saying anything that was against the manner in the way that they were trained and brought up at the same time. Thankfully, Darien and Drake were there to hold them back from saying anything or launching into a tirade, but their family knew what they were thinking as they caught the Stars walking the streets like normal individuals, not the Soldiers who had been ordered to protect both their own Princess and the High Crown royals.

"I'll deal with them, don't worry." Serena scowled, as she shared a nod with her sister.
"Will they not take part?" Makoto asked, as she blinked. **This is so unlike her, but then again, this isn't the Usagi we knew since she revealed herself to us. **
"They will but after we've dealt with them." Serena continued, with a frown on her features. "Albeit in a different way, since I would assume Kakyuu is making preparations for them to return to Kinmoku."
"That's not good." Minako whispered as she turned to the others. "Why are they returning?"
"It's never good when we're angry." Serena hissed in response to the statement. "Also, the Universal Alliance, which my aunts sit at the head of have orders to give the Starlights since they jumped ship without informing any of us."
**These Senshi need to learn their place. ** Serena thought with a shake of her head. **They'll have to learn the hard way, or rather the way the Soldiers had to learn during training. **
"They're Soldiers as well, aren't they?" Michiru asked when she caught the main reason behind Serena's change. "That's why?"
"Unfortunately, yes." Suzanne muttered in agreement, and gave a scowl. **The Stars should have been demoted to Senshi, but again, I can't know what Serena's thought is since she dealt with them the most. **
"They're the lowest level of Universal Soldiers." Serena nodded, as she rested in Darien's arms. "Unfortunately I will need to have another conversation with the Alliance, about getting them demoted to Senshi, since they rejected it last time."

The Inner and Outer Senshi gasped in shock, at hearing that piece of information. If Serena and Suzanne controlled the Soldiers, why were the Starlights still here and not returning back to their planet? It was the question that would remain on their minds, but unknowing that their question would soon be asked in a suitable manner. Serena shook her head, when she caught the flicker of worry in the eyes of her younger sibling and turned back to the Senshi who were awaiting an answer.

"Back to the original plans, are you guys ready to be trained under us?" Suzanne asked, as she looked at her sister. "We have a situation which will become dire as the days go by."
"Girls, the quicker you answer means the better it'll be." Serena stated as she raised an eyebrow.
"What happens if we don't want to?" Hotaru asked, as she looked up.
"Then I'm afraid that I'll have to take your powers away from you." Serena murmured as she bit her lip. "I cannot have you in a position where hundreds of thousands of civilians are at risk, and you aren't protecting them to the best of the abilities that you have."
**I don't want to do this, but for the sake of this planet, I'll do whatever it takes. ** Serena thought with a sigh. **I need these girls to be the best that they can be, and the point they were at before the Silver Millennium fell. **
"What happens if we do?" Minako couldn't help but ask.
"You'll be moved under the orders of our sisters." Suzanne looked to Serena with a smile. "And of course the lovely young Princess of Earth, who I'm sure you ladies are aware of, will be helping our sisters."

Suzanne waved over to her younger sisters and the young brunette who was stood with them, even as she heard them squeak, yet shook her head with a small frown. An explanation needed to be given into their training, especially when Serena had felt the powerful forces of the Dark Star beginning to draw nearer with each passing day. Serena heard the squeak and raised a slender eyebrow in question, her blue eyes sparkling knowing that they would need to get everyone up to speed quickly on the situation that approached them, however, a frown appeared as her thoughts began to darken.

"We aren't ready?" Makoto questioned in disbelief. **I don't believe this, how is this possible? **
"No you aren't." Drake stated with a frown.
"That's the main reason that Serena and I need to call the Soldiers into play." Suzanne stated as she looked to Drake, before turning back to her sister. "You need to be trained to deal with the levels we cope with, or rather if I may be blunt, you will need to be brought up to speed with what the Soldiers and Lady Serena, over here, have coped with in the past."
"What do you mean?" Michiru asked, as she looked over, and turned to the others. **How bad are these forces? They can't be any worse than Galaxia or the previous enemies that this planet has had. **
"Each of you needs to be able to deal with forces by yourself." Serena whispered as Darien's arms tightened around her. "This entire planet needs to be protected, as it will not be isolated to Tokyo alone."
"It won't be in one area?" Minako asked between the two.
"No, not like our other battles were." Serena stated, as she pulled away from Darien. "Our sisters are Senshi, but also Universal Soldiers; we've given them the training needed to handle anything on their own."
"It also ensures that you remain protected whilst under the command of a Soldier." Suzanne smiled to try and ease their fears. "Once you give your answer, the other Soldiers will be informed and then we'll take it from there."
"How different will this training be?" Rei asked, as she looked at the sisters. **Or is it something that not even I would like to or want to know? **
"Each of you will be training with a member of the team." Serena looked down at her hands slightly, narrowing as she caught them shaking. "It is just to see your weaknesses and your strengths, and plan accordingly from there, on a set period during the day."
"And what is that?" Haruka asked as she glanced between each member.
**Do I even want to know? ** Haruka thought as she turned away.

Suzanne's eyes widened when she caught a look at her sister's aura, there was a life growing within her and she could only smirk when her sister figured it out if she hadn't already. Already, Serena and Darien could not keep their hands to themselves and as such, they had already created another life between them, one that was still growing to date. Serenity and Gaea caught the look that graced Suzanne's look and glanced between themselves, before Suzanne shook herself out of any thoughts and turned back to the Senshi.

"It'll be early mornings or late evenings." Suzanne smiled brightly as she clapped her hands together. "If you guys want, we can also do both."
"That should leave you enough time during the day for your own stuff." Serena raised an eyebrow, as she glanced at her sister. **I hope this goes well for all of us. **
"Serena!" Suzanne growled as she glanced over and scowled at her thoughts. **Unbelievable and my sister doesn't say anything. **
"What?" Serena was blunt, with a raised eyebrow. "You don't think I'd notice what was going on in my body?"
"It doesn't mean we can't keep an eye." Suzanne gave a smirk.
"The other Soldiers will be informed, Serena." Drake chuckled as he caught her look.

Serena raised an eyebrow and giggled, as she leaned back against Darien, whose arms wrapped tightly around her lower figure being mindful of the precious weight she carried inside of her. Their family would need to be informed of the situation, since Serena was about 2 to 3 weeks pregnant and it had only come up about a couple of days ago, as Serena was also leader of the Universal Soldiers with Suzanne following as the second in command.

"Wait, what?" Rei asked, as she looked between the sisters. **Something is going on between those two? **
"I need your decisions first." Serena stated with a smirk, as she waved a finger at them. "By the way, that's a personal matter, which I can keep an eye on even if Suzanne and everyone else are breathing down my neck."
"Well, I'm definitely in." Makoto thumped her hand into the air. "I'm up for learning new things."
"I'm in as well." Hotaru smiled over at the two. "I'm not a good fighter, but you'll need all the defence you can get."

Serena and Suzanne smiled brightly as they looked at each other, and then turned to the two who had agreed. But it was still two out of eight, with the other six still needing to put their choices forward. Serena was worried when she realised as she turned back to the Senshi. Serena flinched slightly when she had realised that the Senshi were missing vital power upgrades to their transformations, which wouldn't even come until they reached the level required in training and on the battle field.

"I'm in as well, Serena." Rei smiled, as she looked over at her friend.
**It's the least I could do to support her. ** Rei thought with a light smile.
"I'm in." Haruka nodded, as she thumped her fist in the air. "I'm down for a new adventure."
**How dare they harm our peace? ** Haruka thought with a growl.
"You guys need to explain about this new enemy." Rei stated as she looked up. "We need all the knowledge that we can get, in preparation for our training."
"Don't worry, we'll explain to you guys later." Suzanne stated with a bright laugh.

Haruka turned to look at Serena, who shook her head, as they glanced at Michiru who was frowning in displeasure at the events that were occurring. They already knew what Michiru's reply was going to be, and hadn't liked it one bit. Suzanne shook her head in disbelief, knowing that Michiru was only concerned about the life she had before becoming a Senshi and frowned, before turning to look at the others.

"I'm in though I won't be much of a fighter." Ami smiled as she agreed.
"It doesn't matter, Ami." Suzanne smiled with a light nod. "Even if you aren't a fighter, we could use your help on the defensive."
"I'm in, it sounds like fun." Mina was next, as she chirped her agreement.

Serena and Suzanne smiled, even as Darien and Drake tightened their arms around their chosen other halves. The only one who hadn't spoken was Michiru, and Serena frowned in disbelief, not wanting to face the situation but knew that she had to. Suzanne squeezed her sister's hand in comfort under the table as the twins took one last glance at each other.

"Michiru, what's your decision?" Serena turned to the final Senshi who remained quiet. **I know it, but I need to hear it from her. **
"No, I don't want to." Michiru snapped, as she glared at Serena.
"I don't want this and I never did!" Michiru stated, as she turned her head to the side.

Serena could do nothing, but nod, even as the remainder of the Senshi team looked shocked. When Michiru stood from her spot, Suzanne raised an eyebrow before she turned her head away and glared at a spot on the floor, before she felt her sister's energy falter for a slight bit and looked up as Darien pulled Serena into his arms.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have a violin recital to get to." Michiru sniffed, as she stood from her position.
**I've had enough of this place and the Senshi as a whole. ** Michiru thought with a scowl. **It's time I make my own decisions and plan my own way in life instead of having the Senshi team decide it for me. **
"Serena!" That was all it took, the orders were clear cut.

Unfortunately it had been the order of a second in command, who did not want her leader and sister to get hurt once more, as she had done in the past. An aquamarine glow appeared over her, bright light flashing as Serena outstretched her palm before that same glow vanished completely when it appeared as a sphere of light. Michiru spun and her eyes narrowed as she faced the leaders, their transformations taking hold within moments of their actions.

"What are you doing?" Michiru spun to glare at the twins.
"Watch it." The sound of their parents, a growl emitting from their father's lips, had caused their fears to ease.

She had seen the transformation stick, that made her into Sailor Neptune, appeared from her pocket and flew into Serena's outstretched palm. Once the stick landed in Serena's hand, an aquamarine light rose from it and disappeared back into the locket that remained in her subspace pocket, and it was a sight that no one forgot.

"You wanted that normal life so desperately, Michiru?" Serena asked with steel blue eyes, as a growl escaped. **I will not stand by and watch as this planet falls, because of a petty choice. **
"Not at that cost." A squeak escaped from Michiru's lips.
**No it's not possible. ** Michiru thought with a bowed head. **Could one decision make it change? **
"Well you have your normal life back." Serena glared in return, before a wince appeared as her transformation shattered. "The power stick that made you into Sailor Neptune will remain with us until such a time."
"Was it because I didn't agree?" Michiru had a distraught expression.
"No." Serena murmured, as she looked back up. "It's because of your attitude, fix it and you can get the transformation pen back."

Michiru nodded, and with a soft sigh, continued out of the room and shrine. Serena rested a hand on her stomach, and closed her eyes, but to the remaining Senshi, the look on Suzanne's face told them everything that they needed to know. If they broke and/or disobeyed direct orders from the leader and her second in command, their powers would be stripped from them in the most painful way. Serenity took a step forward and pulled her eldest daughter into her arms, feeling her wilt as Serena breathed out a sigh of relief.
