Once inside, Akino disappeared in a puff of smoke and Hazel Marie pulled off her cloak and threw it onto the couch. She walked into the open bathroom and pulled off the mask and sat it on the counter before slowly working on pulling the pins out of her hair, letting the blond hair fall around her waist as she got the last one out. He sat on the couch and watched her, his heart beating a little faster than normal as her eyes kept glancing at him through the mirror.
"Why did you have to do that?" Hazel Marie spoke with a frown as she turned to face him, leaning against the bathroom door.
"My dear, you have barely spoken since you arrived four days ago," Kakashi spoke softly as he propped his elbows on his knees and leaned forward to look at his hands. "Why there? You have an episode after touching my chest, but go somewhere like that…"
"You learn a lot from drunken men who like to boast because they have a pretty girl dancing for them," she shrugged, looking away from him as she walked over to the balcony and looked out at the view.
"That doesn't answer my question Haze," Kakashi spoke as he got to his feet and walked over to her. "That episode made me think that you were on the receiving end of something no woman should endure, so why would you put yourself out there like that?"
"You don't want to know that answer Kashi," she whispered as she wrapped her arms around herself.
"Maybe not, but I have to know why you would do it? If it was as simple as you think no one else has that kind of training, I could have done it. So why you?"
"I am not answering that," she snapped, as she turned away from the window and headed back towards the bathroom. "The storm is getting worse, I'm going to clean up."
"Don't do this Haze," Kakashi frowned as he followed her and wrapped his arms around her, pinning her arms to her side. "Please talk to me."
"Please don't…" she whispered.
"Tell me why Haze. You have locked me out since that episode," Kakashi snapped. "You are hurting, why won't you talk to me?"
"You really want to know that bitter truth?" she scoffed as she turned around in his arms, dual eyes glaring at him as her transformation dropped.
"Yes," Kakashi spoke, loosening his grip some so his arms fell around her waist.
"I am broken, through and through, Kakashi," she snapped as she pushed away from him and stepped back a few feet. "Before I joined the military, I got kidnapped and sold to a man who pleasured in breaking women before selling them to other men or businesses. In my case, he kept me for himself and his mistress. I had no one, no hope that anyone would save me, Tommy had just died. Every day was nothing but pain and rape… until I broke. I became a masochist, Kakashi. It was a never-ending nightmare that I started to enjoy before I was rescued. The pain stopped so I tried to kill myself before I got help. I did what I needed to here because I know the truth behind most of those drunken perverted pieces of shit and no one should ever have to endure that kind of thing."
"Haze…" Kakashi took a step towards her and she stepped back at the same time.
"You asked for this truth so don't you dare feel sorry for me," she snapped, tears falling down her cheeks. "I broke down with you because you were shirtless Kakashi. Fucking skin contact brought all those nightmares back to the surface."
"Let me help you Haze," Kakashi spoke gently, his heart heavy in his chest as he released his transformation.
"You can't help me… no one can…" she sobbed as she took another step away from him. "It's been six years with nonstop therapy, so how could you possibly help me when they couldn't?"
"Because they didn't care for you like I do," he whispered as he flashed forward and trapped her against the wall and his body, "so how could they truly connect with your pain? You can't scare me away Haze."
"Let me go…" she sobbed as she tried to push him away. "Please…"
"I refuse to let you go anymore Haze," he whispered gently as he cupped her face in both of his hands. "I care too much to let you suffer alone."
"Don't say that… Please take it back," she sobbed as she closed her eyes and gripped his shirt.
"No, Haze. I won't lie to you or myself anymore."
"You can't…" her voice broke as her knees gave out and he held her against him. "It'll ruin everything… You can't… you can't care like that…"
"Why?" Kakashi frowned as he pulled her into his arms bridal style and sat on the couch.
"It'll ruin everything… She'll find out and move me… She'll be right… We can't… you can't…" She cried harder into his chest. "It'll change everything… I can't lose this… What you're saying scares me, so please… please take it back…"
"Why are you so scared?" Kakashi whispered as he made her lift her head to look at him.
"I don't understand what it is I feel whenever I am around you, Kashi, but I feel that it is something that I shouldn't be feeling, not while I am on your team. The thoughts I get sometimes, scare me because I fear I will break if I ever act on them and it would change everything. I can't lose what we have, not now when you've shown me such kindness…" she whispered, trying to not break down again.
"Do you remember that night Tsunade first learned about your fear?" Kakashi smiled, wiping her tears away gently.
"Yeah," she whispered weakly as she ran a hand through her hair to get it out of her face.
"Do you remember what you said after I got us into that alley?"
"Let's go home?" she frowned, confusion evident on her face.
"Yes. You threw steady boundaries out the window that night. The way you said it was as if home wasn't just the place Tsunade gave you, but where ever I was too. It made me realize that you thought of me as more than just a friend, that I truly was your safe haven. It became more than just a friendship then so you could never lose what you have when it only has grown and gotten stronger. No matter what we could have done, we have just because too close that friends isn't enough."
"I'm sorry…" Tears started to fall again. "It's my fault…"
"I don't regret any of it Haze," Kakashi spoke as he cupped her face again. "I'm glad. It was never your fault, so don't ever blame yourself for any of this especially when I feel the same."
"Wh…what…?" she let out a hiccup as she tried to stop crying again.
'Kakashi, a thunderstorm is coming over the city…' Sakura's voice came through their radios and Kakashi chuckled a little as he wiped Hazel Marie's tears. 'Haze, are you okay?'
'We're fine. Haze met up with me. Head to the eastern gates in the morning and we'll meet up with you. Keep in character until we make contact,' Kakashi spoke over the radio, never breaking eye contact with Hazel Marie.
'Sounds good,' Sakura spoke before the radio channel went silent.
"Kashi…"
He leaned forward, silencing her as he kissed her gently. He pulled back a couple of inches to gage her reaction, knowing she was already emotional. Her eyes were wide with surprise, stray tears still falling, she opened her mouth slightly and took a shaky breath. He felt her hands in his shirt tightening and loosening over and over. He kissed her again and felt her hands tighten as she responded, her own eyes closing slowly.
He slid his hand into her hair pulling her closer while his other wrapped around her waist doing the same as he bit her bottom lip gently making her gasp quietly against his lips. She moved a little in his lap as she kissed back and he lifted her up, feeling her straddle him as her hands slid into his hair and pulled him as close as she could. He dropped his hand from her hair to her waist and pulled her flush against him as he felt all heat rush to his groin.
Her body shook against his and he slid his tongue into her mouth to taste her, making her moan quietly as he rocked his hips against her core. He undid her obi and opened the kimono she wore before sliding both hands underneath the fabric to the lingerie she still wore and pulled her hips against him as close as he could get her as she broke away for air. Her body trembled against him as he lowered his head to kiss her neck and she held his head close as she continued to gasp. He stopped kissing her soft skin, needing air himself and hugged her close.
"We… shouldn't be doing this," she whispered, trying to catch her breath. "It compromises the team…"
"I won't ever let that happen. What I can't do is fight my feelings for you Haze," he whispered against her neck.
"Kashi…"
Light flashed outside the windows as a loud boom rumbled above them and Hazel Marie jerked in his arms, only to whimper as her body moved against his erection. He dug his fingers into her hips and rocked his hips against her core and heard her gasp at the action as her fingers tightened in his hair. She rocked her hips against him, and he felt her body quiver. He lifted his head up and kissed her gently as her body shook harder as another loud boom echoed above them. He groaned against her lips as she rocked against him again and felt one of her hands fall to his chest and gripped the fabric. He let his hands run up and down her back and her quiet moans were music to his ears. He felt her tongue prod his lips tentatively and he held her closer as she explored his mouth, deepening the kiss before pulling back to get some air.
"Kashi…" she whimpered.
"Haze…" he groaned feeling his stomach tighten.
Her body stiffened against his as she let her head fall back as she cried out and he saw stars as his own body stiffened under her, letting out a groan as he felt her quiver against him. He held her tightly as he let his head fall onto the back of the couch trying to catch his breath. She rested her head against his shoulder with a quiet sigh.
"That was new…" she whispered against his neck.
"Yeah," he smiled as thunder rumbled above but noticed that her body barely reacted.
"I need a shower," she muttered as she lifted her head and got off him slowly.
She let her kimono drop to the ground as she walked over to the bathroom. In the doorway, she worked on getting off her stilettos before letting them drop in the doorway and pulled off her stockings slowly. Another loud boom echoed above them and he saw her grip the doorway as she lost her balance and fell to her knees. He hurried over to her and helped her back to her feet before pulling her into the bathroom and turned on the shower as she shook in his arms. She gripped his shirt tightly and tried to calm her shallow breaths.
"We found a temporary solution to storms," Kakashi spoke gently and she let out a weak laugh as she looked up at him.
"Constant orgasms? Not sure if I could handle that," she smiled. "We're a mess. You have shimmer all over your face."
"Guess I'll need a shower too," he smirked as he glanced at his reflection in the mirror and laughed seeing his face sparkle.
"Would you help me out of this corset? It's getting hard to breathe," she spoke quietly, her smile gone as she looked at him seriously.
"Of course my dear Plum Blossom," Kakashi smirked, seeing her cheeks turn pink. He kissed her gently before making her turn around and started working on the laces. He glanced at her as they faced the mirror and her hands held the fabric in front of her as he worked on loosening it. "What are you thinking Haze?"
"Mostly about how glad I am that I ended up here," she spoke quietly as she met his gaze through the mirror. "I think that back home, I was on a path of destruction. I never thought about myself on missions, just about getting the job done."
"If you hadn't been on that path, do you think you would have still ended up here?" he pulled the strings the rest of the way out so that it was easy for her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"I don't know," she frowned.
"Well then I'm glad you were destructive, because I would have probably never met you."
"You really are too sweet to me Kashi," she smiled as she turned around in his arms while letting the corset fall to the ground.
He glanced in the mirror seeing her backside in only those lace bottoms and groaned quietly as he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her close. She wrapped her arms around his neck and lifted herself up onto her toes to kiss the side of his jaw before pulling away as her hair covered her body. She walked over to the shower before letting her lace bottoms drop before disappearing behind the shower curtain.
"What do we do if Tsunade finds out about this?" Her voice was quiet as she washed herself.
"We take it as it comes, there is no other way around that," Kakashi spoke before a boom louder than the previous echoed and heard a thud in the shower as Hazel Marie whimpered. "Haze?"
"I just slipped," she groaned. "God I hate storms…"
Kakashi pulled back the shower curtain and found Hazel Marie sitting on the ground, one leg pulled up to her chest while the other was bent and curled behind her while her hair was plastered to her body, hiding everything from view. She had her hand on the leg that was pulled up and he saw blood leak through her fingers. He knelt before her, not caring about his clothes getting wet and moved her hand to look at the gash. She flinched and curled into herself more as he pressed his hand to the two inch gash and started healing it.
"It's okay Haze, no need to be ashamed. It's understandable with the storm that you are unable to keep your composure," Kakashi spoke quietly as he finished healing her leg and pulled back. He watched as she seemed to curl up even more and saw her body tremble a little. "Haze?"
"Thanks," she whispered.
"Of course," Kakashi spoke before standing up started to step out of the shower, despite being soaked but suddenly he found himself on his back as another boom of thunder rumbled above. He lifted his head and saw Hazel Marie lying on top of him with her legs between his legs, her hands gripping his shirt tightly as she shook. "You're okay Haze."
"I'm sorry…"
"You're okay," Kakashi murmured as he wrapped his arms around her waist as he sat up. "You never have to apologize to me. I will always be here for you, but if we both sit here soaking wet, we may get sick."
"Yeah," she giggled through a sob as she let go of him. Kakashi reached up behind him and grabbed a towel off the rack and wrapped it around her before kissing her head. "You should clean up Kashi. You still have shimmer everywhere."
"Are you okay?" Kakashi asked as he made her look at him.
"No, but you need to clean up. I'll stay here while you do," she smiled despite the stray tears.
"I'll be quick," he smiled before standing up.
She turned her body so she faced the bathroom door and he stripped quickly and stepped into the hot water. He washed quickly like he promised and grabbed a towel as he turned off the water and wrapped it around his waist before helping her stand up. She had fixed her towel so it was completely around her and the corner tucked into the edge.
Kakashi was careful to not have her touch too much of his skin as he helped her into the main room to where her bag was before going over to his own bag to pull on a dry pair of pants and a shirt. He turned to her and saw her wearing a plum colored silk nightgown that went to mid-thigh and was sitting on the edge of the bed, drying her hair with the towel. Her eyes were closed as she focused on her task, a slight blush on her cheeks. Soon she put her towel on the ground and started running her fingers through her hair to untangle it before braiding it.
He walked over to her and stood before her and touched her cheek gently. She opened her eyes and stared up at him with a small smile before scooting back on the bed and quickly got under the covers, her blush darkening. He joined her and pulled her close to him as the storm continued to rage above them.
