This is another short chapter, sorry! I'll try to make the next chapter longer, I promise!

I don't own Fairy Tail.

Romeo flung himself to the side, trying to dodge the attack. The beam of light grazed his shoulder, leaving only a slight cut. He put a hand to the place where his guild mark was, feeling a little bit of blood.

"Romeo-kun!" cried Wendy. She put a tiny hand to his wound. "Do you need me to heal you?"

"It's ok, Wendy-chan," Romeo said. "I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

Romeo smiled at her. "Of course."

Wendy blushed and returned the smile. "A-ano..."

The beam continued on its path. It tore through the patch of trees nearby, splitting every tree it hit in half. When it ended its course, a small explosion was heard. Chelia gasped.

"Th-that's way too strong to be used in class!" she exclaimed.

Haru said, "I agree. Someone was out for blood."

"Who the hell did that?!" roared Jun, his bushy eyebrows crinkling in anger. "Are you trying to fucking kill someone?!"

A thick tension fell among the class. Suspicious glances were cast. Eyes shifted from person to person.

"There's only one person here who uses Light Magic..." West said, breaking the silence.

Everyone turned to David, who began to shake his head frantically.

"I swear I didn't do it!" he protested.

"Says the dude who hates Romeo and tormented him for half his childhood," scoffed Jun.

"Look, I may hate Conbolt, but—"

"But what? Not enough to try to kill him?"

"C'mon, Nara you can't honestly think I'd—Hey, Avider! Tell 'em! You didn't see me do it, right?" David looked hopefully at his partner.

Ty glanced at the floor. "Sorry, Oria-kun, but I wasn't paying attention to you."

"See?" David yelled. "That means I didn't do it!"

"That just means nobody saw you commit the crime, dumbass," retorted Jun.

"C'mon, Jun, I didn't even get hurt in the end," Romeo said.

"That doesn't fucking matter!" snapped Jun. "Oria...Oria's tormented both of us...when we were kids...and then we thought it was over...but it wasn't, because here he is again..."

David glared at Ty, looking for an outlet for his rage. "You little fucking shit, tell them I didn't do it!"

"I can't prove that, Oria-kun, sorry."

The green haired male lunged at Ty but was blocked. David glanced down to see who the fuck decided to block his path. To his shock, in front of him stood a short body with golden blond hair.

"Move, Reyes!" Oria snarled. "I need to prove these bastards wrong, and Avider's gonna be my witness!"

"Don't. Hurt. Ty-kun."

"Psh, like I'm gonna listen to some midget—" David looked into West's eyes.

The magenta orbs no longer had their cheerful gleam. They were a burning red, though not necessarily the color of fire. They were red like sin, like demon eyes that could consume you in the most painful way.

David may have been ten inches taller and weighed around 60 pounds more. But that look in West's eyes told him that if he took even one more step towards Ty, he'd regret it two seconds later.

"That's enough, Reyes," said Coach Exaldrus. "You too, Oria."

"You've not gonna punish Oria?!" yelled Jun.

"I don't have any evidence he did it."

"He's the only one here who can use Light Magic and he hates Romeo's guts!"

"That's all circumstantial and would never hold with the office."

"Who gives a damn about the office?!" Jun exclaimed. "This is a fucking gym class!"

"I'm done with your disrespect, Nara," Coach Exaldrus snapped. "100 laps around the track, go!"

The bell rang, signaling that they had to leave to get dressed. Coach Exaldrus dismissed them. After checking to make sure nobody was looking, he shifted back into Laxus Dreyar and walked over to the bush where Natsu and the others were hiding.

"Romeo's fine," Laxus answered. "Just a scratch. But one of the kids threw a bitch fit."

"We know," Gajeel reminded. "We all got dragon ears, remember?"

"You think it was an outside job?" Natsu asked. "Like, someone hid out in the trees and tried to strike Romeo?"

"That beam was not aimed for Romeo, though," spoke Rogue. "The beam was directly in Wendy's path."

Sting added, "Plus, we know they're aiming for Wendy."

"I checked for anyone out on the field before class started," Laxus said, "and we got people doing perimeter, anyways."

"So it's gotta be one of the kids, right?" Natsu said. "I vote Oreo!"

"Gi hi hi," Gajeel laughed. "It's Oria, dumbass."

"Whatever!"

Rogue continued, "I do not believe that Oria was the one who shot the beam."

"You think so too, huh?" Laxus said.

"What the hell do you mean?" Natsu exclaimed. "He's the only one who uses Light Magic there!"

Laxus began, "Oria's fucking week. He's got some skill, sure, but it's nothing compared to Romeo or Wendy. And I'm sure none of the kids except the guild ones are powerful enough to cut skin, much less split a tree in half. Plus, he's annoying as hell. No dark guild would wanna accept him."

"So what?" Gajeel said. "You thinkin' one of the guild kids was just jealous of Wendy and wanted to hurt her?"

"Haru and West are way too good for that!" Sting announced.

"Maybe it was Chelia," Rogue offered. "She could have envied Wendy for doing so well, and for their battle at the Grand Magic Games."

"You mean where we kicked your ass?" Natsu teased.

"Shut the fuck up already," Laxus said, sending a lightning bolt at Natsu strong enough to send him flying.

"FUUUCK YOU LAXUUSSS!"

"But Chelia is one of Wendy's close friends, right? Why would she get jealous?" Sting asked.

"Pinky's pride might have gotten smashed during their battle. She thought she was gonna kick ass ass at the Grand Magic Games, but she almost got fucked over by Blue, someone younger and a hell of a lot tinier. Plus, she's got God Slayer Magic," Gajeel offered. "She could have tricks up her sleeve."

Laxus shook his head. "That's impossible, though. Sky God Slayer Magic and Light Magic aren't similar in any way. No mage on Earthland, no matter how powerful, can use two unalike magics."

"Unless it's with some type of memory or mimicking magic," Rogue said.

The information sunk in as a silence fell among them. Natsu, hearing the conversation with Dragon Slayer ears, widened his eyes.

"You don't think..." Sting's voice trailed off.

"One of the kids is posing undercover."

At the other side of the track, Jun stood in shock. He had just seen his teacher transform into some muscular blond, and now that person was talking to a bush.

I must be fucking exhausted.

Who do you think is posing undercover? Is it David, the orphaned bully? West, the sweetheart with a devil side? Haru, the stoic genius? Chelia, the love girl? Or how about Jun, the bushy-browed normal guy? Ty, the principal's son? Romeo, the mini Salamander with mommy issues? Maybe it's Wendy, the shy child prodigy?

As for the Chelia being jealous of Wendy thing, I don't mean to make it seem like I don't like Chelia. I think that, before her fight with Wendy, she thought that she was the most powerful child mage in Fiore. However, Wendy proved her wrong. During their battle, Chelia was stronger, but Wendy hadn't done any type of magic (or a very little amount) in 7 years. If Wendy hadn't been on Tenrou Island, I think she would have won. Chelia's battle with Wendy showed her that there is someone better, and, with time, I believe that Wendy can become one of the most powerful mages in Fiore (at the very least, Fairy Tail). I call Wendy a prodigy a lot, because I think she is. I don't really want to go into detail as to why (if you wanna I have it on my tumblr + link to tumblr in bio), but I really believe that Wendy has a lot of potential.

Next chapter should be up next week Monday (depending on where you live).
