This one is a little filler whilst I still try to decide what to do next in the story, sorry it's so short but I hope you enjoy reading it all the same.

As Indilwen flew with all speed and haste, she did not see the shadow slam into her half formed body until she was tumbling. Her body melted back together with a snap, causing her to cry out as she tumbled.

Twisting around she flung out her arms and a gust of wind caught her, slowing her fall until she could surf the air, sliding over the raindrops with a low balance. Her eyes snapped around and followed the shadow as it flew around her, snarling with a fiery rage. "Sauron." Indilwen spoke in a low tone, flexing her fingers before clenching them into fists. "Come to do Melkor's dirty work? It has been a long time, has it not?"

Sauron's eye formed in the sky between two mountain peaks, burning alight with a raging fire that should have melted Indilwen in her place but she remained firm, facing her greatest enemy. "She elf of the Valar…you still wander this life…so lost…so alone…"

"Oh shut up." Indilwen snapped then flung a hand out at him, a stream of light bursting forwards in a radiant beam. Sauron shrieked then darted away, flying like a slip of thundercloud in the night as he tried to circle around Indilwen. She fired jets of light at him then held her hands up to the sky, her blue cloak swimming around her as thick thunderclouds began to growl and swirl into life, the friction building up from within.

Indilwen darted out of the way of a large ball of fire and smoke, sweeping herself up into the atmosphere then thundered down upon Sauron's essence, striking at him with lightning bolts then twirled in the air, water stretching out from her hands before freezing into crystalline spears.

She shot them all at Sauron, forcing him to fly back and out the way before hitting out at her again. This time the ball of shadow caught her, Sauron having anticipated her movement. With a gasp of pain Indilwen tumbled from the sky, the shadows wrapping around her like a cursed blanket, starving her of oxygen. In her panic, thoughts she did not want began to enter her head.

She was never going to see Aragorn again, she was going to become a sick, twisted monster of Melkor because of Sauron and there was nothing she could do to save those she loved. Closing her eyes Indilwen reached up and touched the stone around her neck.

Warmth spread through her and a vision filled her mind. Sky was sitting on a comfortable leather sofa, her feet up on the coffee table with her feet pointed towards the fire, warm and sturdy arms wrapped about her. Sky turned and looked up at her husband, Sam, and smiled, leaning forwards to kiss him.

The unwavering love that poured through to Indilwen made a tear slip from her cheek and her chest began to burn, both from happiness and lack of air. Her eyes flew wide open and she fought back. Her skin began to glow, her cloak faded back to white and cracks began to show through the ball of shadow, like a cracked eggshell.

Indilwen let go of the stone and instantly flung out her arms, shouting loudly over the roar in her ears to break the veil around her. "Be gone!" Her voice rang with a thousand ages, shattering the mountains around her until the cracks in the earth became as deep as the oceans far away. "Crawl back to your black lands. This shall not end here with my diminishment!" With an outraged roar Indilwen allowed her purity to shine out, stretching it as far as it could reach until she was a brazen banner of white sunlight, burning brighter than any fire imaginable.

Sauron screamed from the agony her purity caused him as it came into contact with his essence, threatening to shatter him so he disappeared into the storm clouds, his screams the only echo but they were soon silenced by the rattling thunder and flashes of lightning.

Indilwen's eyes dimmed from the brilliant, clear gold of power to their normal honey tone, her breath ragged in her chest as she slowly sank down to the earth, weary and tired. She knew she had to keep going, that Mirima was still in danger but she did not have the strength to even support her own weight.

"Water. Please…" She whispered and the trees suddenly shuddered, breathing with life as they turned to the elf as she gently touched the ground. The trees all turned, putting their leafed heads together to cover Indilwen from sight as one reached down into a stream and cradled the water in the largest leaf he had, cupping it together to then tilt it towards her mouth.

Indilwen guzzled it down thirstily then sighed a thanks in Entish. She rested for a few moments, gathering back her strength before standing. "I must go. Mirima…she needs me."

"Bahrooom…you should rest youngling." Indilwen chuckled weakly to the oak tree. Only the ents insisted on calling her youngling, despite that she was one of the rare few living creatures that was far older than any of them.

"I must leave." Indilwen tried to walk but her legs continued to shake and she relied on the firm trunks of the trees for support as she tried to walk forwards. A soft whicker made Indilwen turn and she breathed a sigh of relief as Celestial trotted into view, her gleaming mane thick down over her shoulder as it floated on the air.

"My beauty, come to me." Indilwen held out her hands and welcomed her beloved companion. "We must ride, with all haste, I fear for the battle of Erebor. It may not be faring well." Swinging up onto Celestial's back the mare lifted her head then cantered forwards, weaving in and out of the trees expertly.

Once she was out in the open, she bolted towards the lonely mountain as Indilwen slowly regained her strength.

Again I'm sorry it's so short but I promise to have the next chapter up as soon as I have written it. See you all soon
