Author's note: It's been a while since I last wrote. I've been very focused on Trouble in the East lately. I don't own any of the characters! They belong to their respective owners.

Chapter 28: Parting of Ways

Elsa's ice palace, at the mountainous border between Dreampix and the Disney Union

Having just heard the story Amos told them, all members of the Horeed Expedition could not help but to feel ashamed of themselves, ashamed for not noticing the corruption taking place in their beloved motherland.

All of them went into separate rooms they had been given by Queen Elsa to stay in. Amos, Jumba and Silver were currently granted an audience with Elsa andwith close friends of her watching it from the sidelines. But it was not just them. The campmates from Prydain, the leading members of the expedition like Professor Porter, Mole and Vinny and individuals like Kenai, Aladdin and Hercules were also invited to the throne room. Elsa sat on her throne of ice with her sister Anna standing by her side.

"On behalf of all of us in my palace, I thank you for contributing your story to us, as well as sharing information about all of this, Amos Slade" Elsa said with a smile directed towards Amos. "But there is no time to celebrate our victory of stopping the White Snake's siege. War is looming past the mountains" she added with a grim tone.

Amos nodded his head. "Yes, the White Snake and his masters in Igerburg will come for us soon enough. We should not be negligent while we're here" he said while agreeing with Elsa's concern.

"But there is still hope for our motherland. The dissention among the proud citizens of Disney is growing by each day. However, they don't stand a chance against Pete and his followers" Jumba explained while also eyeing the people gathered behind them.

"There must be something we can do for those dissenting voices. They are vital to our cause" John suddenly called out to his leaders while eyeing his comrades. People could tell that he was concerned about something. "I've got three, trusty subordinates back home…and who knows what trouble they will stumble upon?" he added while mentioning someone dear to him.

"I also have three subordinates in the army. And you are right, John. If the authorities in the Palace of Stars and Dreams discover our subordinates' links to us, they will be imprisoned. I just hope mine haven't been discovered" Shang expressed his concern.

Silver eyed the two captains with curiosity. "Captain John Smith and Captain Li Shang, do any of you happen to know someone in the army who might have…ill feelings towards Pete?" he asked them and they tried to think out of someone they knew.

It suddenly hit on John. "I haven't made any "friendly" relationships in the army, but there is someone who I think would favour us instead of Pete" the blonde-haired man said, much to Silver's satisfaction.

"Well then, what's his name, lad?" the cyborg asked John cheerfully.

"It's Phoebus…..Phoebus de Chateaupers" John answered.

Shang's eyes widened with surprise. "Phoebus…..the playboy….you must be joking? How is a pervert like him ever gonna be of use to us?" the young man asked stunningly.

John chuckled at this and patted Shang's back. "Don't take this in vain, buddy, but I have known Phoebus for as long as I can remember. You're correct that he is a pervert" he said but soon fixed a serious look on his face. "But I know that deep down inside, he's a man of honour and justice" he spoke with praising his former rival.

Amos showed approval of this. "Well done, John Smith. A man like him could be of great help to us. According to some sources in Igerburg, he's currently a captain of the Red Guard operating in Magic Square" the old man said while commenting the captain. "From what I gather, he seems to have a low opinion of Claude Frollo and his antics" he added.

"I think this may sound difficult, but if we could send someone back to Disney and convince those free-willed lads and lassies to join our cause, then our rebellion against Pete would be bolstered" Silver suggested, although he did so reluctantly. "However, even with Pete and his damned followers gone, home isn't a safe place to dwell in" he noted.

"That may be true. But at this rate, we don't have other options. Those comrades back home need our assistance" Jumba pointed out.

Pleakley expressed outrage at this suggestion and stepped in to protest. "Have you seriously lost your sanity!? Going back would lead to your deathbed!" he expressed his fear.

Amos closed his eyes to think of this dilemma. His close friends watched closely as he pondered about this. He soon opened his eyes and eyed them. They had hoped he would come up with an answer to this.

"I think we should follow Silver's suggestion, but we must tread carefully. Not all of us can return to Disney. Some of us will have to stay here in Elsa's palace. Pete will without a doubt march his forces here" he said to his comrades.

Elsa was taking an interest to this. "That is very kind of you, general. Me and my sister appreciate it greatly" the Snow Queen expressed her gratitude towards the old man. "But I take it you, Silver and Dr Jookiba will stay here, unless I am mistaking" she said and Amos nodded his head.

The old man eyed his followers standing behind. "You heard what she said! Me, Admiral Silver and Dr Jookiba will be staying here in the ice palace and help the Snow Queen in confronting Pete!" he declared and all the followers had different reactions. But still, they understood why it was necessary.

"But we will still be doing what I suggested. We will need smaller groups of you to venture back home and search for those sharing our loathing of Pete" Silver stepped beside Amos while eyeing all the followers standing down. "Who will stand up to this task?" he added while calling out to all of them.

All the followers were stunned not knowing what to say or do. They were each unsure of what to choose. But all focused their attention at Jim, as he rose up and walked towards Silver and Amos. The young boy ignored all the whispering occurring amongst the followers. He stood in front of his leaders and eyed them seriously.

"Well who might you be, lad?" Silver asked him while giving him a silly look.

"It's Jim, Jim Hawkins. And I would like to take this mission of going back home and seek out allies. I also have family back home, so I wanna see if they are okay" he said while explaining his reasons for doing this mission.

"I admire your desires, Jimbo. But do you intend to venture back home all alone?" Silver asked while giving Jim a nickname.

"Hell no, not without someone to accompany me, that is" Jim replied and began eyeing the followers. "I think three of them following me would be enough" he added.

Amos began stepping forward. "Well folks! This kiddo here is our first volunteer. And as he says, three of you may accompany him back home" he said to the crowd.

"If you're going back all alone, then I suppose I can't let you do that" Kenai said as he walked towards him with a smug smile on his face. Jim fixed a similar face in return. "So I'll tag along with you on this one" he added.

But there was also one more. Without noticing it, Mulan walked past the people and followed Kenai to Jim and the others. Jim could see this and fixed a surprising smile on his face. But Tiana, Pocahontas and Nani expressed concern and worry about Mulan's action.

"And you two are?" Amos asked the black-haired boy and the young girl behind him. "I know you, Fa Mulan from back on the Iron Eagle. But I don't know you, mister. Hey Silver, is he one of yours?" he asked the cyborg who smiled in return.

"Ah yes! This is one of the lads on-board me airship. I introduce you to our own Kenny!" he said with pride while eyeing Kenai who was somewhat embarrassed. "I think both Jimbo and Kenny would work well together!" he added while eyeing Jim.

"Why the hell are you calling me, Jimbo?" Jim asked in his head while eyeing the cyborg. "But then again, Kuzco did call me that" he suddenly realised when thinking about his colourful friend.

But Kenai focused his attention on Amos. "My name's Kenai. I used to work for Admiral Silver as spy in the secret police" he introduced himself and suddenly eyed Amos out of wonder. "I've heard your story, and you're probably the so-called strongman Tanana told me about, the strongman who were shown before the Great Spirits" he added, much to Amos' surprise.

"Ah, so you know Tanana, I presume? Well it's good to hear that Tanana is still alive, I was concerned about her after we departed ways" the old man said. "However, it is as you say. The Great Spirits themselves appeared before me. And so did the Circle of Life" he said.

Silver was kind of dumbfounded at this, so he decided to speak up. "I beg your pardon, mates. But do you mind telling me of this Circle of Life?" the cyborg asked them, but before either Amos or Kenai could answer, someone else did it for them.

They noticed Milo approaching them while eyeing Jim with concern. This stunned the young boy with the ponytail. "The Circle of Life, you ask? Well, that's a good question. But from what I gather, it's an order founded by great animal spirits. Ancient texts tell me that they are old as Fictiontopia itself" Milo explained to them. "But about what you meeting with the Circle, Mr Slade. You told me about a great lion named Mufasa, was it? Well he's the leader of the Circle, and is referred to as the Eye of Wisdom" the four-eyed man further explained.

Suddenly, Professor Porter stood beside Milo and joined in the conversation. "But there is more to it than meets the eye, gentlemen! Yes, Mufasa is the Circle's leader but there are more members of it, and I happen to know one of them!" he said with enthusiasm in his voice. All eyes were focused on him.

"So there are more of these beasts?" Jim asked in wide. But he soon forced a smirk on his face. "I wonder if one of the members is a fat walrus or something" he said and both he and Kenai began laughing, much to the dismay of their leaders. "Oh how about this: a giant, talking whale that plays a banjo! That's a nice description of one of those members!" he came up with another one and Kenai burst into laughter.

"Those lousy children, acting like couple of pre-teens" Jumba expressed his dissatisfaction.

"This couldn't possible get any worse" Milo thought in his head while clenching his teeth. "But then again, I still like them as friends" the four-eyed man added.

Amos sighed deeply before speaking up in an irritated voice. "Alright morons, cut the crap! It was actually Professor Porter who had the word here!" he said.

The professor cleared his throat before answering. "I am talking about one of Mufasa's greatest allies…..as well as his rival…..the giant gorilla named Kerchak. In the Circle, he is called the Eye of Strength" the small man answered.

Everyone sounded curious about this "Hmmmm…..perhaps both the Great Spirits and the Circle of Life could become valuable allies against Pete and his forces" Jumba came up with a suggestion.

"But that would be impossible. No one knows where the Great Spirits and the Circle of Life is located. It's like they are hidden from all of us and only appears once-in-a-lifetime" Milo pointed out.

"But I know where we can find the Great Spirits!" Kenai called out to his peers. Everyone eyed him with awe. Kenai knew that they weren't like his tribe, so he couldn't blame them. "Well according to Tanana, you will find them on the mountain where the light touches the earth. It's somewhere near the north-western coastline of the Disney Union" he answered.

Amos' eyes snapped, because he knew what Kenai was talking about. "North-western coastline, you say? Then that means….." he was out of words.

"Yes! It's it must be the mountain called Frostspring. They say that the mountain itself can change into both winter and spring. I don't know if your people have another name to it, though" Porter explained while eyeing Kenai.

Amos then eyed the four people standing before him and made a declaration to the crowd. "So be it, this group consisting of Jim, Kenai, Mulan and Milo will journey back home with the task of finding our lost comrades and seek out help from the Great Spirits!" he said and the entire crowd shouted with praise.

"Thanks guys! I really appreciate it!" Jim said to his friends.

Milo snapped. "Wait! Who ever said of me accompanying you!?" he asked in outrage but stopped as he watched people praise him. He then sighed and forced a smile on his face. "On another note, this sounds really exciting" he remarked.

Mulan smiled at this and eyed Jim. "The reason I decided to tag along with you, is so that I can keep a better eye on you. Once I've done that, I will tell everything to Tiana and Pocahontas" she said while giggling.

Jim merely sighed in annoyance, but he smiled afterwards. "You do get me confused sometimes, Mulan" he remarked.

Elsa watched this with a smile, but she decided also to help the Disnean rebels with their dilemma. So she stepped off her throne and approached Amos, Jumba and Silver.

"I am sorry to interrupt you, but I've neglected to tell you something. "And it could be of great help to you" the Snow Queen said, catching the three leaders' attentions.

"Does this "help" also exists in the UDPR?" Jumba asked her and she nodded.

"Yes. You may have heard of his name. The wizard called Yen Sid" she revealed, much to their surprises.

"Yen Sid…he…." Silver was out of words.

"He was once a teacher of Tsar Mickey, especially during his days as a prince" Porter said. "In addition, he also served Mickey as his court magician" he added.

Elsa nodded. "Yes, he served Mickey. But as the tsar's rule grew increasingly autocratic, Yen Sid began criticising his student's violent methods of solving problems. But his pleas fell on deaf ears from the tsar. But for his stance, Yen Sid was expelled from his position as court magician and he was eventually forced out of the palace" the Snow Queen told them.

"I've heard that Mickey was forced to expel Yen Sid, given the enormous pressure he faced from the duma" Amos remarked after hearing her explanation. "But are you suggesting that he could become a valuable asset to us? I am not entirely convinced" he added when thinking about Elsa's intention of mentioning Yen Sid.

"I understand your feeling, general. But I think a powerful wizard like him would possess knowledge of the Circle of Life, as well as the Great Spirits. And more importantly, a man like him wouldn't have joined Pete's side" she explained.

"Well, perhaps we could send another group to find more about Yen Sid's whereabouts. But I expect it will not be easy, right Snow Queen?" Silver asked her and she nodded.

"Yes, nobody knows the location of his tower. But sources tell me that the tower is found somewhere in near the old border between the UDPR and Corona, our sister kingdom" she revealed.

Silver's eyes widened. "By me right eye, that's only four hours from this location" he said.

Elsa nodded her head. "Indeed. Like Arendelle, Corona is also ruled by a puppet government loyal to the Communist Party of the Disney Union. We suspect one of the White Snake's followers is in control" she explained grimly and briefly fixed her gaze to Hiro, who was standing by her side with Baymax tagging along. The young boy eyed the Snow Queen in return.

"Your statement could be correct, Queen Elsa. The White Snake and his followers call themselves the "Beloye Bratsvato". We fought one of them and he turned out to be a professor from our hometown" he explained while reminiscing of his fight with Yokai.

But there was something Silver and Jumba wanted to know more about from Amos, regarding his life in the shadows. "Hey Amos, about your encounter with Facilier, do you suppose he's trustworthy?" Jumba asked him.

"I can't trust him a bit! Facilier is one scheming bastard, no different from Pete himself so…." Before Silver could continue expressing his distaste for the witch doctor, he stopped once he noticed Aladdin standing near him, Amos and Jumba.

"I advise all of you to be careful if any of you were to ever stumble upon that man. Yes, Facilier might share our dissatisfaction with Pete and his regime, but we shouldn't forget the way he outmanoeuvre his opponents" the young man explained to everyone around him.

Amos became surprised. "Tell me kid, have you ever had dealings with Facilier from before?" he asked lowly, trying not to go into the details. Aladdin sighed deeply before answering.

"6 years ago, in my homecity of Agrabah, he was involved in a political game. It was around the time when Jafar ruled the city" he said lowly like he didn't necessarily want to explain it any further.

Amos and the other leaders showed understanding and refrained from continuing this conversation. But all things were considered. Tomorrow, a group of these proud patriots of Disney would start their journey to enlist the aid of dissenting Disneans.

In the pub called "The Snuggly Duckling", in the outskirts of the occupied Kingdom of Corona

This pub, located in the thick forests of Corona, is not what its name says it is. Despite being called "The Snuggly Duckling", it is a used as a hangout for Corona's thieves and ruffians. With the once-shining kingdom now under Disnean occupation, dark times fell over it. Thievery and other forms of crime increased in the forests. But all of that was about to change, because something sinister had begun taking hold of the occupied kingdom's outer reaches.

At the pub's entrance, two thugs named Vladimir and Atilla, acted as the pub's muscles. They made sure no suspicious guests entered the pub. They guarded the entrance, as the sound of laughter, music and dancing could be heard behind them. They found this job to be very boring, until someone opened the door.

As the two muscled thugs got a closer look of who it was, they could see three large beings dressed in black-hooded cloths. And behind them, the Stabbington Brothers watched them as if they felt sorry for the two thugs.

But Vladimir and Atilla ignored the brothers and focused their attentions at the three black-clothed beings. "We don't know who you are or where you're from, but this place ain't some church or any kind of religious gatherings" Vladimir said while crossing his arms.

"You aren't welcome here, now scram!" Atilla scowled and held his spiked mace in his arms.

Vladimir then began drawing his sword and eyed the three people threateningly. "Don't make us do this! We really mean business, you know!" he said with frustration.

Meanwhile, the leader of the pub thugs named Hook Hand was laughing joyfully while playing his piano. While he was doing so, all the other thugs were dancing and singing with joy. Shorty and Big Nose were trying to flirt with the pub's groupies, but to no avail, as they only received a slap on their faces.

Hook Hand laughed and continued playing, knowing better than to stop the music after seeing this. He went on and on, but not forever. Without warning, both Vladimir and Atilla fell on his piano, thus destroying it. The music stopped and so did the singing and dancing. He was filled with shock and outrage over this.

"What in blazes do you idiots think you're doing!?" he asked his comrades angrily. "What makes you think you destroy my piano and ruin this moment!?" he added, but he noticed that they were pointing their fingers in fear to the right. Hook Hand got confused by this and turned his head to the direction they were pointing at.

He could see the three large beings standing in the middle of the pub. All the thugs eyed them with utter shock, considering their sizes. But there were some thugs who had the urge to attack them and they were slowly readying their weapons. Hook Hand was surprised by them at first, but he soon fixed an angry look on his face. He got off the piano chair and brandished his sword and hook.

"I think I get the picture now! You three threw Vladimir and Atilla at my piano, right!?" he demanded an answer from one of them. He got more irritated as they didn't respond to him. "Do I need to tear up your asses to make you answering me!? If so then I'd be more than happy to oblige!" he said while gritting his teeth.

He swung his sword towards the second tallest of the trio. But the sword was stopped by the stranger's large lion paw grabbing the blade. This shocked Hook Hand and the rest of the pub thugs. He could hear chuckling coming from the second tallest being.

"Oh dear, this must be an unlucky evening for you. First you lose your piano and now…." he stopped speaking and suddenly swung his paw with his claws. After a few seconds, the sword shattered, much to Hook Hand's shock. "You lose your sword. How poetic" the being continued speaking in a dramatic manner,

"W-Who…WHO ARE YOU, MONSTERS!?" Hook Hand demanded from them in shock and fear.

While he was doing so, the three beings could notice several thugs charging towards them with their weapons. But the smallest of the three beings suddenly used its fast speed to deal with them. And it did so by using her clawed leopard paws. However, the black cloth had vanished and it revealed the beings appearance.

It was that of a humanoid female leopard, dressed in a bra of leather and leather panties. She resembled a woman from the indigenous tribes of Haiti, only more feline. She grinned evilly at her dead adversaries while her green eyes pierced fear into those trying to stand against her. On her back, she carried a large spear and her clothes were even decorated with skulls.

"What the….a leopard! What kind if monster is that!?" he asked in fear, but suddenly noticed the second largest of the trio standing before him. He grabbed him by his collar and lifted him up to us level. He revealed his face to Hook Hand by lifting his hood off.

His face was that of a brownish-furred lion, with his mane coloured black. His eyes were yellow while his irises were green. But a notable characteristic of him was the scar running across his left eye. He even had an eyepatch on that eye. He grinned evilly at the thug.

"Not what you expected, I see. Well it doesn't matter. Your pitiful life won't last forever, you know" he said with a so-called dramatic voice to this. "Now then, any last words?" the lion sadistically asked as he removed his cloth, thus exposing his body.

The lion wore black pants with spiky iron boots, armoured knees and a belt hanging on the top. His hands were covered in leather and belts and they acted as his gloves. He also wore spiky armoured shoulders. But the most disturbing was his large blade he carried behind his back.

Hook Hand was about to use his hook on his left arm to slash the lion's face, but to no avail as the lion discovered it. He pushed Hook Hand on his belly and it sent him flying towards the barkeep. The obese thug lied on the table and coughed out blood. He struggled in gaining his composure, but he could think in his head, and he did so.

"A leopard…a lion…..then the last one and the tallest of them must be a….." he thought in his head, but he could feel that someone grabbed his neck. As such he was lifted so that he was facing all the thugs standing in shock at who was holding him. Hook Hand could briefly turn his head and he could see a large humanoid tiger wearing black pants with a belt tied in the middle, metal boots, armoured gloves and shoulder armour on his right shoulder. On his back, he carried a long two-handed axe that stretched across him. In addition to that, he wore another belt running across his chest, and both belts contained skull figures.

The tiger smirked as his eyes pierced Hook Hand with fear like a spear. "I assume you know who we are, human. Well that's only fantastic!" he remarked and suddenly fixed his gaze upon his two comrades, who were "toying" with the attacking thugs. "Come now, you two! We better make an introduction of ourselves" he called out to them and both the leopard and the lion appeared to his side in a minute.

As they appeared beside the tiger, he threw Hook Hand towards the piano, where Vladimir and Atilla were already lying in fear. They could only watch the three humanoid felines standing on the barkeep.

"Hey boss…..who the hell are those big cats!?" Vladimir asked Hook Hand, as he had heard his boss speaking. "They sure don't look like any ordinary anthropomorphic animals we've seen before" he added.

"I know that! But to tell ya the truth: I never expected them to be here in the first place!" Hook Hand said with fear.

The tiger smiled as all the thugs stood before him and his allies. He then decided to speak up. "Good evening to all of you, pitiful humans. You stand before us, a trio which people usually call us by the name of the Koshachiy (Russian for Feline). But we prefer the name SSS, as it reflects our names! First, we have my left hand, the Huntress of Hell: Sabor. Second, we have my right hand, the Defiler of Heaven: Scar. And at last, there is me! I am the almighty God of the Wilds and to one who will make this world fall to its knees before me! The one, true king: Shere Khan" he finished his declaration and held his axe high.

Hook Hand expressed shock, as his speculations turned out to be true. "It's them…..they are really here….those bandits!" he said while struggling in speaking properly.

The next day, Elsa's ice palace

Morning had just arrived and in the palace's interior, Jim and his group were ready to leave for the Disney Union. And of course, they all knew that the journey would be harsh and dangerous, so there was no guarantee whether they would make it out alive.

Amos, Silver and Jumba were present to wish them the best of luck, as were Aladdin, Hercules, Huey and the others.

Milo was receiving some advice from Professor Porter and Joshua. Even Vinny had decided to help Milo getting ready, by supplying him with some dynamites, much to the four-eyed man's outrage.

"Look Vinny, I appreciate you helping me and all, but I don't think dynamites will be of great use to us" Milo said, only to receive a disapproving glance by Vinny in return.

"If so, then what are you going to blow up hindrances with!? Let me guess, you start chanting some lame words which have no effect at all" the man said.

"He's right, Milo. You four rookies will need them eventually. Even though you're supposed to do this mission stealthily, those dynamites will come in handy at one point, I promise you that" Joshua said.

"Just be cautious once you've reached the Disney Union. Remember, the enemy's territory is our own home, so don't let your guard down" Porter advised the young man.

He nodded and accepted the bag of dynamites. "Thanks. I'll repay all three of you someday" he said with a smile on his face.

Meanwhile, Kenai was having a few words with Hercules and Aladdin. "So you're also getting undercover, sometime?" he asked them.

Hercules nodded. "Yeah, me, Al and Pocahontas over there has been given a similar mission. We're also supposed to round up some allies. We also hope to regroup with our friends, back home" the muscular man said.

But Kenai could notice that Aladdin was feeling a bit down and it made him feeling sorry for him. Hercules did the exact same thing. But Aladdin discovered this and changed his mood, not wanting to be felt sorry for.

"Oh, sorry for not listening, my mind was somewhere else" he said with a soft smile. "And yeah, I also hope to find my friends from Agrabah. It's been a while since I last talked with them" he said while letting out a sigh.

Kenai smiled and nodded his head in approval. "Well, I better get prepared. Who knows, we might not be able to make it back here" he said grimly, but he eventually gave a confidential smile to Hercules and Aladdin.

Mulan was having a few words with Pocahontas, Tiana and Nani. They knew better than to question Mulan's determination, but they only hoped she knew what she was getting herself into.

"Just be careful, Mulan. For some reason, I feel like everything around us is dangerous. When will all of this come to an end?" she asked distressed, only to be calmed down by Pocahontas.

"I think I also wanna do something for us. But that will have to wait" Tiana said. "If you see that mysterious Shadowman, then be cautious. I ain't convinced about trusting that weird man" she added while stating her opinion on Facilier.

Mulan smiled at her friends. "I appreciate your words. But as long as I have those three boys to accompany me, I won't feel alone nor lost" she said with satisfaction, much to her friends' amusement.

Jim was speaking to Huey, Kuzco, Max and P.J. before taking his leave. He wanted to say a few words to them before leaving. "Well, this is it, for now" he said lowly as he eyed the doors of the ice palace. He then returned his gaze to his friends. "Are you planning on staying here, or are you also keen to venture outside?" he asked them all of a sudden.

"Of course we wanna venture outside! P.J. and I would like to go back to Spoonerville make sure our friends there are safe. We also know a guy who definitely could become a GREAT asset to us" Max answered while speaking about a friend of his.

P.J. faced his long-time friend with a confused look on his face. "Whoa, slow down! Are you talking about Bobby? But isn't he in the Red Army's communication unit?" he asked Max, but something hit him. "Wait, now that I think about it, the last time I heard from him, he was suspended from the unit for slacking off too much" he suddenly remembered.

Max nodded his head. "Exactly! Which makes it apparent that he's returned to Spoonerville…or so I hope" he said, although he expressed concern for their friend's well-being. But he focused his attention on Jim. "But anyway, either Huey or Kuzco will have to join us" he explained.

Kuzco snapped at Max's words. "Hold the phone here, Maximilian! If you think I'm gonna get myself killed then you are sadly mistaking" he said while expressing his opposition to this. Jim laughed at his behaviour, as did Huey and P.J.

"I will think about it, Max. But first, let me know what my brothers will be doing, then I will decide" the young duck said to his friend who showed understanding in return.

"Well, I better get going. Kenai and the others don't wanna be kept waiting" he said and headed for the main doors. But one the way, he was stopped by Vice-Admiral Amelia as she faced him sincerely. Jim became confused. What was with her all of a sudden?

"You said you were from a place near Montressor, right Mr Hawkins?" she asked the young boy, who nodded his head as a yes. "I see. Then you wouldn't happen to know a certain Dr Delbert Doppler, would you?" she asked again, much to Jim's surprise.

"Y-Yes….he's an old friend of my family…do you know him?" Jim asked

"He's my future husband" Amelia answered plainly, much to Jim's utter surprise. "Why so surprised all of a sudden?" she asked the young boy in confusion.

"Oh, it's nothing! I just…I didn't realize that Delbert was…engaged to an Amazon like you" he said, much to the anger of Amelia. However, she brushed it off and cleared her throat.

"Anyway, what I would like from you Mr Hawkins is if you could pass this letter to him" she asked while handing Jim a letter. The young boy stared at it dumbfounded. But still, he took it. As he was about to open it, Amelia pointed her sharp finger into his hand, thus making him stop. "Don't even think about it, young man! The only man who is ever allowed to read this letter, is Dr Doppler himself" she said sternly, much to Jim's annoyance.

"Fair enough, I'll pass this crappy love-letter of yours to him…if he's around, that is" Jim said with so-called enthusiasm in his voice.

The group consisting of Jim, Kenai, Mulan and Milo stood before the doors of the ice palace, as it opened. Every one of the Disnean resistance were present to wish them luck and give them their blessings. The only three who stood near the four were Amos, Silver and Jumba. As the leading resistance-members, they were obliged to give their support to volunteers in any way possible.

"I guess this is goodbye for now, my little friends! I hope to see your faces again someday" Jumba exclaimed humbly, which was unusual for the four-eyed scientist.

"You took good care, lads! And don't forget to say hello to your friends and families for us!" Silver exclaimed cheerfully.

"Be on your guard on this journey, kids! Whether it be Pete, Facilier or anything else suspicious, don't let your guard down! I expect all of you to at least possess caution and perspective within you" Amos advised them while explaining sternly.

Jim scoffed at him, much to Kenai's amusement, Milo's confusion and Mulan's annoyance. "You three talk too much. It's not that we are in pre-school. We know what we're doing!" the boy said with a smug look. Amos grudgingly accepted it, while Jumba and Silver chuckled in return.

And so, the group ventured into the snowy landscape, starting a mission that might cost their lives. Only time will tell how those four will fare on their journey back home, but not the same home as they used to remember.

To be continued…

Author's note: That was chapter 28. I hope you all enjoyed it. We got introduced to Shere Khan and his feline partners. They will be a vital to this phase of the story. Shrek and his gang will get some love soon, but on the Disnean side, I will mostly write on Jim's team. But I am also open for writing on Amos and the other teams.

Koshachiy (Russian for Feline) – No one really knows of this feline trio consisting of Shere Khan, Scar and Sabor. Rumour has it they were once gladiators, fighting to appease greedy spectators, including members of the Communist Party of the Disney Union. Their motives are not yet known, but they seek conquest, in a same manner Pete and his allies do.
