Oh no…I can't be…

The kit, a little tom cat with Flamestar's body shape and her eyes but its coat looked exactly like Primrosebutterfly's.

"Let us in!" Lakebreeze screamed but Treeclaw was blocking their path, and facing them. "If you want to help, fetch thyme, enough for two cats."

"I don't understand." Primrosebutterfly whispered.

"It's okay; it's not the end of the world." Sleekaface said carefully.

"Yes it is!" Scarletfur screeched. "I've just had Primrosebutterfly's kit!"

"No, you haven't." Sleekface said quietly. "It's yours."

"Would someone please explain what's going on here?" Primrosebutterfly hissed.

"I'll tell you," Sleekface replied, "but no interruptions."

They chewed on much needed thyme and sat down and listened to Sleekface's story.

"There were five of us. We only became friends as apprentices. Treeclaw, Nutfall, Drippetal and Troutflight were apprentices too but the five of us had a special bond. It was Dreadclaw and Darkfur, a moon older than the rest of us, Duskheart and her sister, and me. I was apprenticed with them because my siblings were dead. As apprentices, we used to play a game. We would sneak out of whatever we were doing, using any excuse necessary, and go to the barn which was abandoned at the time. We were DreadClan, after Dreadclaw, who pretended to be leader, Darkfur was his medicine cat, I was his deputy and the other two were loyal warriors. We were called Dreadstar, Darkcrow, Duskbeauty and I was Sleekshell. I won't yet tell you the name of Duskheart's sister.

"When Dreadclaw became a warrior we stopped playing, simply because another cat had moved in. Dreadclaw was the most handsome cat at the time, in our eyes anyway. I was not bothered as I was in love with Freebird, and honestly I still am. If he were older I might've been his mate however he was with Webfur. They both had a right to each other but still… it was difficult. I told Primrosebutterfly that she was lucky her mentor was a she-cat, well, I didn't lie. I need to now tell Duskheart's reason for leaving to Windclan now. Dreadclaw loved Duskheart's sister but Duskheart was jealous. She summoned the original five to a cat called Crimson. She made a vow that if she ever found out that her sister and Dreadclaw had kits she would kill them herself.

"Crimson, many know of and use him and for one ability from him, many would do anything, although he gives most abilities away for no cost. Unfortunately, Duskheart went to Windclan but her sister was already expecting kits. Because, Darkfur and I were on her side, we managed to give her kits to the two queens in the nursery: one to Webfur and another to Treadflower, whose litter had died. Freebird never knew and Treadflower never reveals who her mates are. Those kits are you two she-cats. Dreadclaw chose your warrior names, after your mother, Butterflyfur, who, if you care, called herself Butterflydestiny. There was a third kit, Destinykit, who is in Windclan. Somehow, she hasn't been found out. That cat is Twilightgaze. This is the end of my story."

Both she-cats couldn't speak, the words caught in their throatS. Stuck, like a feather, far from being dislodged.

Then, something more extraordinary happened. A StarClan cat appeared.

"You!" both she-cats appeared.

"Greetings. You recognize me from your prophecies."

"Prophecies?" Sleekface questioned.

"Yes, Sleekface. I must inform you that there is a mistake. Your prophecies are mixed up."

"What?" they said together.

"Primrosebutterfly was meant to get Scarletfur's and Scarletfur was meant to get Primrosebutterfly's"

"Whoa… this becoming stressful."

"Yes, I'm sure. I'll tell you the whole story."

"Here we go again." Scarletfur growled. "I've just had a very painful experience an I'd appreciate it if you would let me sleep!"

"All in good time, just let old Fluffypelt give you the story."

"*&%# $&&$!" (If cats could swear that's what she would've said. And don't judge me, I have to include humor somewhere)

"Once there was a cat called Puddleflame. He became leader. No one knew many things about him, including that he was very evil. But they did know that he had no sense of smell. A StarClan warrior told him not to mate with the green-eyed cat, for their kit shall be pure evil. Unfortunately, they did not realize he would want this. He went after the only green-eyed she-cat in the clan. A longhaired brown tabby by the name of Crowcry. Only Crowcry's sister, Pondflower, a red longhair with blue eyes, saw the evil in him and came up with a plan. Crowcry would mate with a random cat in secret while Pondflower did so with Puddlestar, whom would not recognize her if he closed his eyes.

"The plan worked and when Puddlestar realized what had happened, he left a curse, If you will. He said that he would return inside the body of another ending in his name when two sisters unknown to each other are born. Those two were you, and Flamestar had part of Puddlestar inside him. Now here the problem arises, we thought that Crowcry was Primrosebutterfly because of her fur and vice versa. But we were wrong. It has to do with the eye colour. Puddlestar realized our mistake and sent a prophecy to Windclan to get Primrosebutterfly out of the way so Scarletfur could get close to Flamestar. Hedidnt think that Scarletfur was considered the prettiest on the outside. I also knew Twilightgaze would not be involved because Crowcry and Pondflower's other sibling, Snowingsky, grey like Twilightgaze, was not involved. No cat besides yourselves needs to know and you must never, ever, tell any cat."

No cat spoke for a long time.

"But, does that mean that…Scarletfur's kit is pure evil?" Sleekface said at last.

"Yes. He must be destroyed."

"No! He's my kit, I can't do that!"

"I'm sorry but you must. It must be done. Primrosebutterfly, as you are her sister, it must be you."

She froze, kill a kit? She had to kill a kit?

Taking a deep breath, she bit its neck. Then she ran to Scarletfur as she wailed. "I'm so sorry, forgive me, forgive me."

Okay, only another two chapters or so left! I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. I'm kindda sad it's nearly over though; this was my first fanfiction after all.
