I love the awesome reviews! I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present. However, due to the horrible weather and crazy power outages, I couldn't really type up good Christmas one-shots. Therefore, I will be trying to squeeze in the stories for you guys for the week maybe. They will mostly be Christmas related since I couldn't upload many before the holiday. Please send in requests if you have any.
Have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Holiday, and may the next year bring in good luck! Please be careful when driving because of all the snow and ice!
I do not own Ib.
Guardian Angel: Broken Trees
Ib watched the world fly by through the car window as her father drove them to town for groceries. The trees alongside the road were coated with clear ice, giving them a crystalized look.
Mr. Kouri stopped the car in the road and stepped out when Ib looked up. She watched through the windshield as he grabbed a fallen tree branch that was in the middle of the road and threw it off the road. Taking a good look around, she noticed that there were broken branches beside broken trees along the side of the road.
When Mr. Kouri returned to the car, Ib asked, "Why are so many branches broken?"
"Well Ib, do you see the ice covering the trees?" Ib nodded, encouraging her father to continue, "The ice is really heavy, so the weaker branches that can't handle the weight crack and eventually break off."
"Oh, kinda like old people." Ib added, nodding in understanding.
Mr. Kouri gave a slight smile, "Yeah. Kind of like old people."
Garry glanced from father to daughter in confusion. "How is any of that like old people?" he wondered.
