I know it has been a while since I've been able to update my fics. My husband and I were in the process of becoming foster parents and had been incredibly busy with classes and preparing ourselves for the home study. We are approved now which will give me more time to write…until we get a kiddo that is!

Thank you all for sticking with me through this and I am happy (and also sad) to bring you the last chapter of Starting Over. I hope you enjoy.

If someone had told him two years ago while he'd been living in the Enchanted Forest that he would once again have everything he ever wanted he never would have believed them. There had been a time after he'd lost Marion that he thought it would be only him and Roland for the rest of his life.

He'd been ok with that. He loved his son and could see himself being perfectly content with it being just the two of them. He would never have complained about his life. He had his son, good friends and a chosen family with Mulan. It was safe to say he was content with his life.

Until a beautiful Queen and her son literally fell out of the sky and changed his life forever.

The first time he'd looked at her he'd been drawn to her. The first time she'd smiled up at him he'd wanted to keep her smiling forever. He'd fallen in love with her quickly and somehow by some miracle she'd loved him back.

She'd given him hope for new love when he'd had none. She'd shown him what it felt like to be loved without abandon. Her heart had been as beautiful as her smile and he fell more in love everyday he'd spent with her.

He'd made her his wife and she'd given birth to his child. A little girl just as she'd said. He'd been terrified through the entire pregnancy. The fear of something going wrong, of losing her as he had Marion left him nearly paralyzed. She'd tried to reassure him, to tell him everything would be ok but in the back of his mind the fear was almost unbearable. He couldn't lose her. He couldn't live without her. There would be no way he would be able to go on.

When she'd gone into labor his heart felt excitement and also as if it were breaking at the same time. That was when Marion had been taken. Just after giving birth to Roland. The happiest moment of his life, the birth of his son had been quickly followed by the most devastating. He couldn't go through that again. He couldn't watch the life fade out of Regina's eyes the way he'd watched it fade out of Marion's.

He loved her with his whole heart, his whole soul. It hadn't been the young and free love he'd shared with his first wife. That had been young love, strong and new, filled with happiness and excitement for the future that so many young people felt…before experiencing loss and pain.

His love with Regina was different. They were each others second chance. Their love was made stronger by the loss they'd both experienced. They'd learned to lean on each other, to be there for each other. Their love was drastically different from that of first love, that was so innocent and new. Their love was that of two people who have loved and lost. It was love that would stand against anything that would come their way. They had a need for each other that was unexplainable…a connection that was undeniable.

The fear that he would lose that love had been overwhelming, terrifying.

His son had come to call her Mother. The boy had longed for a mother for so very long and Regina had been up for the job. Robin knew with absolute certainty that Regina had fallen for his little boy long before she'd fallen for him. One look at his sweet face and the dimples that peeked out as he'd smiled up at her and she'd been a goner. He supposed he would have to thank his son one day for being so cute and irresistible.

He smiled as he remembered a restless Roland only a few days before the baby was due unwilling to go to sleep, excitement for the arrival of his sister keeping him awake late into the night.

Regina's belly had been huge by then. When Roland had come to their room for the fourth time that evening wondering if the baby was ready to come yet Regina had chuckled when Robin groaned. She'd turned and placed a kiss to his cheek telling him she would take care of Roland as the baby was likely not going to allow her to sleep that night anyway.

He'd watched as she'd gotten out of bed and took Roland by the hand leading him back into the hallway.

After several minutes passed and she hadn't returned he moved from the bed and went to find them. He'd first went to Roland's bedroom and not finding them there he made his way down the stairs.

He'd found them in the living room. Regina had her feet laying out on the couch and Roland was laying on his back against her belly with heavy eyes, fighting sleep with everything he'd had.

Roland giggled and turned his head to look up at Regina. "Mommy she kicked me again!"

"She's just saying hello to her big brother." Regina smiled down at him with adoration.

"I want to meet her!" he looked up at Regina with big dark eyes.

She smiled and leaned forward to place a kiss to his head. "Soon darling."

"I think she's gonna be pretty like you." He told her.

Regina laughed and soothed his hair back from his face. "She's going to be beautiful." She answered him. "Although I am rather hoping she has you and your father's dimples." She laid a finger against his dimples and he giggled again.

He grew serious and looked back up at her. "Do you think she's going to like me?"

Regina smiled down at the little boy who had captured her heart. He was so excited but also a bit nervous at the prospect of being an older brother. "She's going to love you, Roland. You're her big brother and she's going to adore you."

"I'll look out for her like Henry looks out for me." He answered and shifted so he could place his face against her stomach.

"That's right." Regina told him and began to rub his back "And you can tell her stories and make her laugh, that's all the job of a big brother."

He yawned against her and laid a protective hand over her stomach. "I'm going to take good care of you." He whispered to the baby and placed a kiss to Regina's swollen belly before laying his head back down and drifting off to sleep.

Robin had stood at the door and watched them. He hadn't even realized he had tears in his eyes until Regina had looked up at him and smiled brilliantly. His heart had been so full of love at that moment he feared it may burst.

Roland kept his promise. When his little sister was born he'd looked upon her with a kind of awe. He'd held her with the help of his father and talked to her about kingdoms far away, about one day becoming a knight so he could always keep her safe. He'd fallen in love the moment he saw her, just as the rest of them had.

A few weeks later after several sleepless nights Robin had found himself stumbling through the hall to get to his crying daughter, his precious Lily who had somehow managed to steal his heart the minute he'd laid eyes on her. When he'd come to her room he'd found someone already there…holding and soothing the sweet baby girl.

Henry moved from the crib to the rocking chair holding his little sister in his arms. He'd fallen for her quickly and now couldn't seem to remember what life had been like without her in it.

She'd just been fed an hour before. He'd been woken by her cries then as well. When he'd come to her room he'd first checked her diaper. When he'd found she was dry he'd picked her up and moved to the rocking chair.

"Were you feeling a little lonely sis?" he rocked her back and forth as she cooed at him. There was no doubt that she loved her big brother. He never failed to soothe her when she was restless.

Henry lifted his hand to run a finger gently along her cheek. "Are you in the mood for a story?" He asked they baby in his arms. "I could tell you about Mom and Robin again…I know that's your favorite. Mulan and Belle is a good one too. One day I will be in the book. Roland and you will be too. It's a book of true love. It's the strongest magic."

"If your mother has her say it will be a great while before any of her babies end up in love and in that book." Robin said softly from the doorway.

Henry grinned up at him as Lilly gripped on to his finger. "At least not until after college."

Robin chuckled. "Well Lily here won't be dating until she's at least thirty…possibly longer, when she's thirty I will revaluate."

Henry laughed and smiled back down at his sister. "You hear that Lily, any man who wants to marry you is not only going to have a very protective father to deal with, but also two big brothers."

Robin stepped into the room and ran a finger along his daughter's head. "I almost pity him…" He grinned at Henry. "Almost." He looked down at both of them. He was the luckiest man in the world. He not only found his soul mate and the love of his life, but he had three perfect children. "She looks so much like your mother."

Henry nodded in agreement. "Except for the dimples." He touched one on the side of her cheek as the baby yawned.

"Does she need changing?" Robin asked him.

"Nah, I checked her when I came in, she just needed some company." He told him.

"Quite the helper you're turning out to be." Robin observed.

Henry shrugged and looked back down at her. "Well she is pretty cute. It's kinda hard to say no to her."

"Indeed." Robin agreed and smiled down at his daughter who was quickly falling back to sleep. "Why don't you let me take her so you can go back to bed."

Henry shook his head. "She's almost asleep now, if we move her she may be up another hour."

"True." Robin chuckled.

"Besides, I promised her a story." He told him.

"Which one will it be tonight?" Robin asked. "Another fairy tale?"

Henry shook his head. "She loves the fairy tales, but as her brother I feel it's my duty to introduce her to modern culture…perhaps one about Spiderman." He grinned up at Robin. "I plan on making a comic book nerd out of my sister yet."

Robin laughed. "Now I'll have three on my hands, you've already gotten to Roland."

"It's been my real plan all along." Henry told him.

"Well I suppose I'll leave you to it." Robin told him and walked towards the door.

"Robin?" Henry said and Robin turned back to look at him. "Thanks."

"For what?" Robin wanted to know.

"For making my Mom happy…for being part of our family." He looked back down at his sister. "And for Lily…" He gave him a wry grin. "Even though Mom did all the hard work."

Robin chuckled. "That she did." Robin paused and looked at Henry for another moment. "Thank you for accepting us into your family Henry, for being such a wonderful brother to Roland and Lily. I know it couldn't have been easy…you were used to it being just you and your mother."

Henry nodded. "It was good when it was just me and Mom…great actually." He looked down at his little sister in his arms and grinned. "But now it's even better."

How had Robin gotten so lucky? How had he found so much love? No they hadn't always been family but they were now. Robin knew that in one second he would lay down his life for any one of them…for all of them.

He stood against the door frame as he watched his wife nurse their daughter. He couldn't help but think it was the most beautiful sight he'd ever seen. She had eyes only for her little girl as she hummed and rocked her gently. They both looked like angels at this moment. He couldn't take his eyes off of them.

All the fear, all the sleepless nights he'd worried for nothing because here they both were. Happy and healthy and perfect.

"Beautiful." He said from the door and she looked up at him only just noticing he was there.

"Yes she is." She agreed.

"I was talking about both of you." Robin told her.

Regina smiled at him as she felt the familiar butterflies in her stomach. He would always find her beautiful she knew…even years down the road when she would one day end up with wrinkles and gray hair he would still look at her just as he looked at her now. It thrilled her and made her feel giddy to know he would always be there with her. He would never stop loving her, never stop wanting her. He would always be hers from now until the end of time.

"She must have been hungry." He said as he stepped over and ran his finger along his daughter's soft head.

"She has a healthy appetite like her father." Regina grinned up at him then looked back down into her daughters face. "Look at what we did Robin."

Robin dropped to his knees beside them and looked into the face of his daughter. He placed a kiss to her head then looked up at his wife. "I dare say you and I are quite good at it." He gave her that crooked grin that she'd come to adore. "It would seem we make beautiful babies together."

She laughed into his eyes and leaned in for a kiss. "We do."

He kissed her and bit her lip lightly before she pulled back. "And the baby making part is rather fun as well." He leaned in and whispered in her ear. "We're quite good at that part too." He took her earlobe into his mouth and she shuddered.

She chuckled. "That we are."

"I love you." He told her as he raised his hand and let his fingers tangle into her hair.

She lifted her hand to his face and looked deeply into his eyes. "I love you Robin, thank you for making all my dreams come true."

He grinned, looked down at their daughter then back into her eyes. "We still have a lifetime of dreams left Regina…a lifetime."
