A/N I dedicate this chapter to my dearest friends. You know who you are ;)
Evelyn Pov end
My eyes were closed as Emma dragged me through trees by one hand and Colleen by the wrist with the other. Kira was doing the same with Felicity somewhere behind us. Occasionally I could hear them yelling at each other about the silliest of things, such as Kira purposely leading City into trees. Though I would say Kira probably was, knowing her.
Now Emma had called us all together after two months of being apart in Belgium. All she said was that there was something she needed to show us. Which this something happened to be in the woods behind Belgium and we couldn't go see it until the sun started to set. According to Emma it would add to the effect of the surprise. Of course she didn't tell us this until we were all gathered in her sister's house at half past three.
"Funny Duck let's just go show friends and Crazy", Kira had demanded. She was the only one that knew the surprise of the four of us.
"No", Emma had whined from where she was squished in between Colleen and I. "I want a sunset".
So that's why now I have in trusted my life to Emma. I really hoped that she wouldn't lead us off a cliff. Goodness knows how many leaves I'd be picking out of my hair that night.
"We're here", Emma sang. I opened my eyes and gasped. Three beautiful tree houses were before us. The structures contained two or three floors in them and each painted a bright color. They connected to a platform in the middle with wooden bridges. "Welcome to my country"!
"Micro-nation", Kira corrected.
"Micro-nation", Emma stuck her tongue out at the Russian. "Ocean Aqua".
"Only you would come up with a name like that", Felicity laughed. "Emma you need citizens to be a micro-nation".
"I do", she beamed. "Bobby Thomason is a citizen until dinner on weekdays and then all day on Saturday".
None of us wanted to tell her a citizen has to live there all the time. It would shatter her dreams and then we'd have to deal with a rant about how its Netherlands fault. Instead our group followed our duck up the ladder inside the light purple house. The home seemed completely purple. Everything from her carpet to the dishes was some shade of the colour. There were wooden stairs that spiraled up to a second floor. I'm going to guess that it's filled with more purple objects.
Emma told the rest of the group to sit on the round coach. She went into the open kitchen and pulled waffle mix out of the fridge. The sweet smell filled the tree house as she cooked them.
I stared out the window as the sun made its final decent. The lights automatically turned on. Next to me Kira kept elbowing City in the ribs. She continued until the Brit punched her in the arm. Then Kira tackled her to the ground.
"So how have you been", Colleen said to me letting out a giggle. She watched the two roll around. When she leaned forward a silver ring on a chain fell out from behind her dress.
I reached forward and grabbed the ring. She instantly snatched it away and narrowed her eyes. "I'm sorry. Who gave it to you"?
"Someone special", she leaned back with a sigh. "I don't want to talk about it". I understood. Everyone needs their space. We remained silent, watching Felicity and Kira fight. Kira yanked incessantly on the poor girl's long hair.
"My dearest friends", Emma walked in front of us in a chief hat. She carried two huge plates full of waffles. "Let us feast".
Kira immediately jumped up and gave a smirk at Felicity before following the lovely chief. Everyone else trailed behind. Kira pulled a chair out and motioned the British girl to sit. She wasn't the only one stunned.
"Thank you Kira", Felicity returned her smile and went to sit down. Right before she did Kira yanked the chair away. She laughed as Felicity fell backwards. She glared up at Kira rubbing her back. "Bloody git".
I sighed taking the seat on the other side next to Kira. She chose to be right across from City for reasons unknown to the universe. Some things just never changed. Once everyone was seat, I counted the number of plates and then the five of us.
"Hey Emma sweetie", I said as she poured root beer into our glasses. "You do realize that there are five extra plates".
"Yeppers", she smiled. "They should be here any minute".
Before any of us could ask who chimes rang through the house. Emma skipped to the door and in came Denmark, Italy, Luxemburg, Romania and Japan.
Japans eyes met mine and he smiled coming over to claim the seat on my left. I felt my face blush as I casted my eyes down.
"So why are you here", I spoke softly.
"Your little friend thinks this will make even with the damage she caused", he said watching her as she tried to pour a red liquid in Romania's cup. I'm suspecting by the way he kept pushing it away the substance may have been blood.
"Does it", I asked.
"I think so", he took my hand and gave it a squeeze. I looked into his eyes and felt my heart leap. But I felt eyes watching me I quickly turned my head back forward. Colleen was staring at us with a frown while toying with her ring. I never seen her so depressed.
"Okay everyone before we dig in", Emma stood at the head of the table with a glass raised. "Unless your Kira, who already made one plate disappear."
Kira pointed her fork at our friend in warning. She spoke with her mouth full of waffles. "Funny Duck cannot tell me when I eat. Kira has free will"
"So attractive", City muttered under her breath. Suddenly she screamed when a fork hit her smack in the middle of her forehead. "What the bloody hell was that for"?
"For being you", Kira smiled lifting her knife up. "Next time this goes right through eye".
"Both of you stop", I snapped. They stared at me then burst out laughing.
"Be careful Sheltered you're going to hurt voice if talk to loud", Kira smiled.
"Just continue Emma", I sighed sinking back into the purple chair.
"Let us toast", She stood up and raised her glass. Everyone did as she did. "To never getting wrinkles and being awesome people. And now we drink". She chugged her root beer in one gulp. I giggled, its just like our Duckie to give such a "Heartwarming" speech. She stared Romania down as he took a sip from his glass. The country gazed into his glass then chugged it down. Once he was done Romania smiled letting a bit of red drizzle down his chin.
"What was that punch made out of", he asked handing Emma the cup so she could fill it up. "It's Fantastic"
"The family of squirrels that used to live in this tree", Emma giggle giving the glass back.
"I'm not a vampire" he yelled.
"You just drank a glass of squirrel blood", Luxemburg pointed out.
Romania sighed before drinking the blood. Emma did some victory dance in her seat. She bumped into her plate causing it to fall off the table. The plate shattered and her waffles were then scattered all over the floor. The Belgium shrugged stealing Italy's plate.
"Ve Bella that's not nice", Italy cried.
"To bad", she tossed a waffle into her mouth. Emma started choking.
"Did you forget to chew", Felicity asked. Our friend nodded rapidly causing the table to break out in giggles. "You're so stupid". Her laughter stopped when a waffle hit her straight in the face. It slid down leaving a trail of syrup.
Kira stood with another one ready to throw. She smirked at the shocked look Felicity had. "No one can call my Duckie dumb but me".
"Bring it", Felicity hissed. They got into a huge battle and soon everyone but Japan and I were throwing waffles. He grabbed my hand and dragged me under the table. We exchanged smiles listening to the battle above.
"Crazy I will eat you", I heard Kira scream. There was a shatter of glass.
"Not if I devour you first", City shouted back. I saw them drop to the floor and roll together away. Kira was trying to shove a waffle into Felicity's ear.
"Your friends are insane", he said.
"Yes but I love them", I smiled turning my head to him. Slowly I leaned forward and kissed Japan on the cheek. His eyes went wide as he touched the spot on his cheek. Japan's body moved away from mine causing my heart to drop.
"Why did you do that", he asked.
"I'm sorry", I whispered tears forming in my eyes. His feelings were not the same after this whole time thinking just maybe it could work. "Colleen told me that's what people do when they like someone".
Japan just stared back with those beautiful brown eyes. The he leaned forward and his lips touched mine. It was just for a split second before he pulled away. He smiled entangling his fingers with mine. My cheeks felt like they were on fire. The tips of my mouth turned up to match his. I wouldn't mind if we stayed like this forever.
I wouldn't mind if my whole life remained like tonight forever. The past few months have been the best of my life. I no longer felt alone or weak. To think starting as a girl who never left her house to becoming personification. So much had changed, though it will take a while to get used to everyone's new names.
Felicity, Kira, Emma, Colleen, and I souls are connected now. Nothing will change that. It's impossible to see the future without them. We have Sealand to thank for that. So thank you Sealand for bring all of us together and making my world perfect. For now I can truly be happy with my friends and nothing will tear us apart.
A/N
And that is were I end this tale. Honestly I didn't think I would make it this far and I don't know how I feel about how I ended it. Was there even a specific plot? Not really. Well good thing is no one died so I kept my promise to certain people. If I make another Fanfiction I refuse to withhold such deals! On the brighter side I tried writing somewhat humor and didn't completely fail, or at least I don't think I did...
Anyways I'd like to thank anyone who followed this story to the end. There hasn't been any negative comments, or well any comments..., so I'll take that as a good sign! Yes I realize I'm terrible at spelling and grammar :)
Wow really long authors note...
So again to any readers thank you and I hope you enjoyed Five Deadly Thorns!
Goodbye for now~
