Caroline was in the library with Katherine and was listening to her explain what she had heard from Elijah that happened to Elena because Bonnie lost control. Caroline couldn't believe that her one best friend had almost died and it was because of her other best friend who lost control of her blood lust. Caroline didn't like how she was in this type of situation, all Caroline wanted when she was younger was to grow up in a nice home that her husband had built with her three children running around screaming with joy with a smiling Caroline there to watch them. Now she'd have no children, no husband who she loved, no house in the village, all she'd have is a dick of a husband and immortality for when he decided he'd turn her.

"Caroline?" Katherine called to her.

"Yes?" Caroline paid closer attention.

"Did you hear me?" Katherine asked getting worried something was wrong with her friend.

"Yes, Bonnie attacked Elena, that is horrible" Caroline shuddered at the thought.

"It wasn't her fault exactly, according to Elijah the blood lust is hard to control, it takes time" Katherine told Caroline what Elijah had explained to her.

"I know that dear Katherine, but that still doesn't excuse that Elena almost died" Caroline responded back. She loved both Bonnie and Elena the same so just hearing this was something highly painful for her.

"Lady Caroline" a maid interrupted their conversation.

"Yes Marine?" Caroline asked politely.

"Lord Niklaus would like to see you in his art room" Marine answered her question. Caroline groaned at this, she wasn't excited to see Klaus which is why she dreaded going to sleep. Once she fell asleep on the couch in the living room and woke up next to Klaus in their bedroom.

"Do I have to?" Caroline asked looking at Katherine.

"You're still not talking to him?" Katherine is stunned to know that her best friend was still upset with her husband, although Klaus did deserve the silent treatment for all that he has done to Caroline.

"Yes" Caroline was disgusted just being in the same room with him, she knew that the silent treatment was childish but she didn't care... not anymore.

"You better go before he gets angry" Katherine didn't want her best friend to get in trouble so she was all for ending their girl time.

"When is that stupid bastard never angry?!" Caroline spat. Klaus made her angry and he was always pissed off over something, whether it be at her or something completely unfamily related. Klaus was a ticking bomb who would explode at any moment if he never got his way.

"Just go" Katherine dismissed.

"Fine!" Caroline stomped past Marine and left the library with an attitude. Caroline reluctantly made her way to the stupid art room that Klaus resided in at the moment, once she entered she saw paintings and drawings of her on the walls. Caroline had to hold back his disgust. Klaus turned around to look at her.

"Stupid bastard? Really love?" Klaus had obviously been listening in on her conversation with Katherine. Caroline just ignored him. "Still the silent treatment?" Caroline continued to ignore him. "Love?" Still nothing. Klaus picked up a blank canvas and threw it somewhere in the room. "Answer me!" Caroline just glared at him. They were interrupted by a completely different maid.

"My lord?" A maid by the name of Brittany interrupted them.

"Yes?" He looked at the maid with a heated glared. The maid began to feel uncomfortable by the glare but was there for a reason.

"Lord Elijah asked if you wanted to take a ride to the market with him" the maid answered.

"Tell him to give me a few minutes" Klaus answered her question. The maid bowed and before she could leave, Caroline spoke up.

"Brittany, please hold on for a second" Caroline instructed.

"Yes my Lady?"

"Can you please tell this good for nothing douche bag that if he wants me to talk to him, he can go die in some ditch by himself" Caroline was in for it now.

"I can hear you" Klaus was getting even more angry.

"Brittany, tell him I don't care" Caroline glared at Klaus.

"Leave now Brittany" Klaus growled at the frightened maid.

"No, stay Brittany" Caroline ordered.

"I want her to go."

"Brittany I want you to stay!"

"Go!"

"Stay!"

"Go!"

"Stay!"

"Enough!" Elijah came into the room to interrupt the married couple. "You both are acting like children!"

"No! He is the pathetic child that can't take a hint that I want NOTHING to do with him!" Caroline said to Elijah.

"Well to bad! You're stuck with me!" Klaus replied.

"Gah! I wish I died two years ago, it would have been better than being stuck with this THING!" Caroline stormed out of the room. Klaus stared at the spot Caroline had just occupied before taking her leave.

"You couldn't have been smart and tell her when her mother wrote to her could you?" Elijah brought up a mistake he was now living with.

"She ruined my painting" Klaus said to Elijah like it was the end of the world.

"And you didn't tell her, her father was on his death-bed and didn't have time to survive. Now let's go, I don't have all day" Elijah took his leave. Klaus reluctantly followed after his big brother.

Rebekah heard the argument that went down between Klaus and Caroline, she didn't know who to back up in that conversation. Caroline or her brother. Caroline lost the chance to say last words to her father while he was on his death-bed trying his hardest to hang on and her brother Klaus, well he was completely difficult and was hard to get through, but in the end he was her big brother and she loved him dearly. Jeremy interrupted her thoughts.

"Can I go see Elena?"

"Of course, let's go" Rebekah didn't trust him leaving the room without protection.

"I'm guessing your coming with me?" He didn't have to ask, he knew the answer.

"Yes of course, I don't want history to repeat itself" Rebekah answered. Jeremy nodded and walked out of the room with Rebekah following him, they walked to Elena's room in silence because there really wasn't much too be said in this kind of situation. When they arrived at the door to Elena and Kol's room, Jeremy knocked and waited for an answer. Kol opened the door to see his baby sister and his brother-in-law.

"You're here for Elena I see."

"Always" Jeremy said walking in. He walked straight towards the bed where Elena laid there unconscious under the quilt. Jeremy sat on the chair that was next to her and grabbed her hand in his simply large one.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you 'Lena."

"Me to" he heard Elena's hoarse voice.

"Hi" Jeremy was glad his sister was okay. Elena opened her brown doe eyes and met her brother's brown eyes.

"Hi" she sent a soft smile.

"I was worried."

"I'd be as well if the situation was reversed, but I am okay now" Elena reassured him.

"I'm glad you're awake" Kol said coming next to Jeremy with Rebekah behind him.

"What happened? I remember Bonnie drinking from me and then nothing" Elena's head was fuzzy.

"You almost died and I came just in time to save you after I heard you screaming bloody murder" Kol explained. "You then passed out and I placed you in bed."

"Please tell me you didn't kill Bonnie" Elena didn't want her friend to die, it wasn't Bonnie's fault.

"I didn't but that won't stop me from doing it the next time she decides to suck your blood" Kol warned.

"It wasn't her fault, she told me to leave but I didn't listen" Elena tried to reason with Kol.

"That is no excuse, she could have flashed away" Kol wasn't going to show mercy the next time, not even a bit.

"Can I be alone, I'm still tired" Elena wanted the conversation to end.

"Are you sure? I can stay" Jeremy offered.

"I'll be fine Jer, I'll meet up with you before dinner" Elena reassured her brother.

"Okay" Jeremy nodded and kissed the top of her forehead.

"I'll see you later on."

"Yes you will brother" Elena smiled at him.

Jeremy smiled back and left with Rebekah following behind him, he didn't like seeing his sister like that, pale, weak, and useless. It frightened him how one day she was going to die and it was going to cause him pain. He was taken from his thoughts by his wife.

"Jeremy?"

"Yes?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to take a walk in the garden" Rebekah asked sweetly.

"I actually wanted to draw" Jeremy felt a need to draw something... anything really.

"I can watch" Rebekah suggested, she just wanted to spend time with him.

"I can draw you if you'd like?" Jeremy suggested.

"Yes!" Rebekah nodded with a smile. No one has ever drawn her, well Klaus had but that was her brother, she wanted someone who wasn't family to draw her and it was finally happening.

"Then let's go" Jeremy continued to walk to their room where his stuff was at. Rebekah following right behind him.
