Clary woke up sat upright in the chair next to her desk. She hadn't been able to get to sleep and had tried to do some art. Her sketch book was open and on the page was a half drawn picture of Iz and Simon. She had fallen asleep before she could finish it.
She had had another nightmare. The same one with Alana pushing her off a cliff. Only this time she could tell that the person chasing her was a man.
Clary glanced up at the clock which told her it was 7:00. She stretched and felt all the aches and pains in her back and neck from where she had slept upright. She shrugged off her dressing gown. It was too hot and her stomach didn't feel so good. She walked over to her bed but before she could sit down she knew she was going to be sick. She dashed to the toilet and got there just in time.
She stood up and looked at her reflection in the mirror. She looked, as well as felt, a little too hot and her hair was matted to the side of her face.
No longer feeling sick she climbed into the shower. When she came out she got dressed in a hoodie and a pair of leggings and stuck her hair up in a loose bun. She then gave herself an iratze to make herself feel better and incase she felt sick again. Clary had already decided not to tell anyone about this morning. She didn't want to worry anyone especially when she knew that even though she was fine, they would panic.
She quickly packed her belongs seeming as she hadn't the night before and then made her way to the library. Jocelyn was in there sat by the fire rocking Beth in her arms.
Clary went and sat down next to her mum.
"Hey," she said.
"Hey my other beautiful girl," Jocelyn replied and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
She laughed. "How is the cutest little sister ever doing?"
"Why don't you see for yourself." Jocelyn placed Beth in Clarys open arms.
Clary cooed at the little girl and she grabbed her finger. She really was the tiniest thing Clary had ever seen and she loved her unconditionally.
"How come you aren't coming to London?" Asked Clary. "You've always said you would love to go there."
"Yes but under different circumstances. And anyway somebody has to stay here just in case Sebastian decides to make an appearance and Luke has the pack to run. One day when me and Luke are old and gray and have lots of grandchildren," Jocelyn said winking at Clary. "-then we will finally visit London. Oh and the art galleries. I'm dying to see them."
"Good plan mum."
Jocelyn took Clarys free hand. "Clary...I want you to be careful. If you do find him just promise me you won't do anything reckless. Promise me you will come back."
"Mum. I can't promise anything. Nobody knows what's going to happen. We could get there and it could just be a dead end. But I will try."
"You better. Love you Clary."
"I love you mum."
Clary rocked her sister as she told her mum about her dreams and waited for the others to turn up (they were travelling by portal).
"It's probably just because you don't like her that your dreaming about her pushing you off a cliff."
Clary pondered the idea. "Hmmm maybe."
Beth gurgled in her arms.
"See someone agrees with me."
"Clary!" Shouted Isabelle as she burst through the library doors. "They you are! We were looking for you. Meeting point was the kitchen."
From behind her Alec, Magnus, Zack, Alana, Oscar, Jack, Sam, Simon and Jace appeared all carrying their suitcases.
"Sorry!" She said.
"Doesn't matter. You ready to go?" Asked Alec.
"Uh yeah." She gave Beth a kiss on the head and handed her back to Jocelyn who gave her a hug whilst Isabelle opened the doors to the portal.
Maryse came into the library. "They're ready. They have opened their portal."
Isabelle went first and then one by one they followed her through the portal.
