Note: A guest said they were using some of my scenes for a GOTG/Falling Skies crossover fanfic...
From: Guest
:I am doing a gotg and falling skies fanfic crossover. I hope you don't mind I am going to use a few scenes from your story to help my story a little. The story is called terra if you want to check it out.
...
I was wondering if they meant taking the idea or copying and pasting word for word... No, you are not allowed to copy my story, that would be plagiarism. You can use the idea if you credit me, though. I don't care if you do that. :3
I don't own Falling Skies.
...
"Mama?" Dominick looked up at his mother after everything seemed to calm down With the wave of mechs in the human area, "Mama, sad?"
"No, baby. Just worried about the others." Her son talking so early wasn't worrying her anymore.
Katana watched the scene and began to pray
A few days passed by rather quickly and Trisha was glad to see her human family alive but Tom was missing. When she found Hal, he was by himself. She saw he was crying and her heart ached for him.
"Hal?"
"Uh, Trish..." He rubbed at his face before turning back to her, "Hey..."
"What's wrong, sweetheart?"
Hal sniffed and looked down, struggling to speak, "Its... Maggie..." Then he broke down.
Trisha took him in her free arm and began to comfort him.
"She's paralyzed and can't move!" He began to cling to Trisha but heard a chirp. He turned his head and saw Dominick looking at him with curious eyes, "This... This is you and Cochise's kid?"
"Yes." She answered.
"Huh... He's... Kinda cute..." He poked at the kids bat-like nose, "Hey little guy..."
Trisha seemed relieved by the fact that he wasn't judging her child along with the fact that he seemed to have gotten his mind off of Maggie for the moment.
"He's... Is he going to be like Lexi?"
"I..." She pulled away from him gently, ready to fight him if she had too, "I'm not sure..."
"I... I won't freak out like I did with Lexi. I just... I worry a lot. Which, I need to talk to Cochise about helping Maggie." He said and began walking away.
Dominick poked his head over Trisha's shoulder, "Bye bye."
Hal turned back with an awkward look but kept walking.
Dominick let his chin rest on Trisha's shoulder, his eyes watching Hal until he was out of sight.
Trisha walked until she saw Anne, concern marking her features.
"What's wrong?"
"Maggie..."
She was about to ask her what the issue was when she heard a voice she really didn't want to hear...
"Seriously? You're going to let that bubble headed baby live after what happened with Lexi?!" It was Pope and several people stopped to move and see what it was he was talking about, "That thing is dangerous!"
With swift movements, Trisha pulled a pistol out of her jacket with one hand and clutched Dominick as close as she could.
"He is a baby, for the love of God!"
"An alien baby!"
"Pope! I swear to God..."
The man looked to Anne who seemed slightly stunned and not quite sure what she should do, "Look, everyone just calm down, please-"
"That thing is going to kill us all just like Lexi killed Lourdes!"
Trisha snapped, a sob escaping her lips as she kept the gun pointed at Pope, "Damnit, Pope! His name is Dominick and I am not letting anyone take him away from me! I was taken away from my mother, my first memory was her screaming for the doctors to let her hold me! She died soon after! My mother never held me once! My aunt and uncle adopted me and all I had of her growing up were pictures!"
"Trisha..." Anne slowly approached the furious woman who now had tears flowing down her cheeks.
"Yes, he is part Volm! No, he is not evil! Yes, he is learning things a little fast like Lexi had! But I swear if you take my child from me I will send you straight to the gates of hell within the blink of an eye! Please! Let me be the mother I never had!"
"Trisha!" Anne touched her shoulder and tried to slowly reach for the gun that was pointed at Pope.
"All I wanted growing up was one thing, to be held by my mother. For God's sake, I asked Santa for that very thing every Christmas! I swore if I ever had a child no one would take him from me! So if you don't like the fact that I have an alien baby then just leave me alone... Please..."
Trisha's arm lowered the gun a bit and Anne took it from her, taking Trisha in her arms as she held Dominick between them.
"Trisha, everything is alright. No one is taking Dominick from you."
Sarah stood behind Pope and shifted her eyes back and forth between the two.
"I can understand where she is coming from. The Volm are good guys, right? So we don't have to worry?"
"No... Not yet, at least. I'll give the kid a chance but I don't like it."
"You don't have to like it." Anne said, "Just leave her alone for now."
Everyone had heard what was said and Cochise was thankful Trisha didn't shoot Pope. Hal beside him looked as if he felt horrible for the woman but nodded and began walking, "So... Can you help Maggie, please?"
...
Anne stood with Anne and Denny while they waited for Cochise. Trisha apologized for her anger repeatedly.
"Trisha, you acted as any other mother would have acted. There is nothing to be sorry for. Pope needs to learn..."
"Pope's a meanie. Don't like 'em." Dominick said and Anne cracked a smile.
"Yes, he is. You're talking?" She asked and the kid nodded. She put a hand on his head, "Lexi wasn't saying that many words so soon..."
"Is he growing faster than she was?"
"He is as small as she was but he just seems to be learning to speak and comprehend things quicker than she did." Anne thought of giving him a sort of checkup but she knew nothing about the Volm body.
"Don't cry, Mama."
Trisha was trying so hard not to worry even more than before but what parent wouldn't worry about their child developing so quickly?
