DISCLAIMER AND CHRACTER OWNERSHIP: same as always

"I'll give you $20 to switch seats with me Kensi." Deeks said to his wife, pouting for added effect.

"Nope." Kensi replied, pulling down the window screen and slipping off her running shoes.

"$50 and I'll walk Azure and Monty by myself for a month." Deeks offered, wiggling his eyebrows like a vaudeville villain.

"If you do that again, I will give you a Marine's haircut." Kensi said calmly, flipping through the in-flight magazine.

"Yeah, right Princess. Tell it to someone who believes you." Deeks retorted, rolling his blue eyes at the brunette.

"Shouldn't have said that Deeks." Callen stated from the seat behind him, causing Deeks to turn around and face the Special Agent. "This is Kensi you're talking to. First of all, she's your wife. Second of all, she's a NCIS Agent."

"I'm her husband Callen." Deeks countered, smiling lazily at the older man. "That automatically grants me immunity to any and all bodily- OUCH. Why did you hit me woman?"

"Because you think you're above it all, Marty Deeks. Just you wait. And also, there's no way in hell you're getting my window seat now." Kensi smiled, opening the magazine again and perusing the duty-free offered items.

"Wanna share a room if need be?" Deeks questioned Callen, currently afraid for his well-being.

"If I say yes, you'll never learn. Besides, I'm bunking with Sam." Callen answered him, placing his headphones into his ears and closing his eyes.

"Don't worry Deeks, Kensi loves you too much to physically maim you to the point of paraplegia." Nell said, sitting in the row in front of him, attempting to maintain a straight face and failing miserably.

"It's like you all forgot I'm sitting right here." Kensi said suddenly, causing Deeks to almost jump out of his seat.

"I never forget about you Angelfish." Deeks supplied smoothly, grasping his wife's hand and kissing her knuckles.

"Charming." Kensi quipped, rolling her eyes but secretly loving her husband's sweet gesture.

"I still don't understand why Gibbs' team can't come to L.A. It's cold in Washington and I'm not built for a winter climate." Deeks complained, attempting to find a comfortable position in his seat.

"You sound just like Katie. I swear her eyes almost fell out of her head when I told her we were leaving for the conference in Washington. And it's not winter cold, it's just not the middle of summer in October." Kensi told him, playing with his wedding ring.

"I'll get cold Kensi, I promise you that." Deeks sighed mournfully, as if classic autumn weather at this time of year was his worst nightmare.

"I'll keep you warm." Kensi grinned slyly, kissing him breathlessly, picking up her magazine like nothing had happened and leaving the detective speechless.

"Boss, are you sure that have to meet Callen's team at Dulles?" Tony questioned Gibbs in the bullpen. "I bet they know where the Hay-Adams Hotel is and we could be solving a… OW." Tony yelped as Gibbs slapped him across the back of the head.

"Any further questions DiNozzo?" Gibbs inquired, fixing Tony with a hard stare.

"No Boss, thank you Boss." Tony responded, continuing to pack his bag for their meeting at the airport.

"When will you learn, Tony?" Ziva asked from her desk, smiling coyly at her boyfriend who grinned back.

"Probably never my ninja, probably never. Although, if you were my teacher, I think the learning process would be much easier to handle." Tony smirked, shrugging on his jacket and turning towards the elevators.

"I believe that you be rather distracted, if I attempted to teach you anything Tony." Ziva replied, following the Very Special Agent out of the bullpen.

"I'm thrilled you guys are finally together, but do you have to be so into each other?" McGee interjected, holding the elevator for the others.

"Jealous McLonely?" Tony laughed as he entered the elevator and immediately falling silent at Gibbs' glare. "Sorry Boss. Can I drive?"

"Kensi, Kensi, Kens!" Deeks whined to his wife, who looked over in disbelief at her husband as to why he was interrupting her focus on the presented lecture. "I'm bored."

"So play a game on your phone." Kensi whispered over to him, turning her attention back to the group of Agents at the front of the assembly.

"My battery died." Deeks told her sadly, waving his phone in front of her for added effort.

"I'm bored too Ziva." Tony informed the brunette who looked at Kensi in complete bewilderment.

"It is like they are both five years old." Ziva commented, trying to keep out of Gibbs' earshot. "Can you not amuse yourselves until the presentation is over? It cannot be longer than 15 minutes now."

"But we've been sitting here for over an hour." Tony exclaimed, earning an eye roll from Nell and a grin from Eric. "This is torture."

"This is not torture Tony," Ziva began, causing Tony to shrink back into his seat, "if you want to experience torture, give me your tie. And it has not been over an hour, it has been only 30 minutes."

"I'm still bored." Deeks stated again after five minutes of blissful silence causing Kensi to punch him in the arm.

"She does that often Deeks?" Tony questioned the blond detective who was rubbing his arm, trying to induce blood flow.

"More then I care to admit man." Deeks replied, skillfully ducking out of another physical assault.

Lights gleamed from bistros and patios as Kensi and Deeks walked down the street, the crisp evening autumn air nipping at their cheeks. The rest of the conference had gone down without a hitch, mainly due to Kensi and Ziva's watchful gazing over their respective partners. The two women agreed that having Deeks and Tony in the same room for an extended period of time was not something worth revisiting, at least not without active electronics. The pair made their way towards a small Italian restaurant recommended by Tony who swore that this food was almost as good as his Nonna's.

"Tony does have good taste." Kensi admitted, surveying the décor once they were seated, "This whole place is lovely."

"Not as lovely as you." Deeks quickly responded, smiling lovingly at his wife.

"You're just all kinds of charming on this trip, aren't you Deeks?" Kensi laughed, nodding a thank you to the waiter who presented her with a menu.

"I like to keep my lady wife happy." Deeks told her, glancing at the menu and privately thinking that the smoked salmon penne sounded rather appetizing.

"This food was absolutely incredible." Kensi breathed, once the couple had finished their dinner, "We have to take Tony and Ziva somewhere for dinner in Los Angeles as a thank you, if they ever decide to visit."

"Carlo's." Kensi and Deeks stated at the same time, looked shocked for a moment and then laughed together. Suddenly, a soft ballad came on over the speakers and the central area of the restaurant was cleared to reveal a makeshift dance floor. Couples began to stand up and make their way to the hardwood floor. Deeks stood up, bowed to Kensi and offered his hand. She accepted, and stepping out of her chair, curtsied to her husband.

"Just like Jack and Rose, except we're not dancing drunk in third class." Deeks grinned, pressing a kiss to Kensi's forehead as they swayed as one.

"You jump, I jump." Kensi declared, echoing Deeks' words from months ago, allowing herself to be spun across the room by her soul mate.
