Hammer of the Gods- S5E19

"I like the name Isabella for a girl." Sam said from the passenger seat. Lily looked up from the pregnancy book. "As in Queen of Spain in 1492 Isabella? Granted Columbus' expedition and as result, killed a lot of people? Absolutely not." She scoffed. Sam sighed as Dean laughed. Rain thudded against the car. The storm was supposed to be massive. "We should find a hotel before we get run off the road." Lily said quietly. She knew just the place, too. "Nah. We'll be fine." Dean insisted. She twitched her left hand just a small bit and a gust of wind hit the car like a collision.
Ten minutes later, they were pulling into the parking lot of a swanky looking hotel. Dean got their bags from the trunk and Sam helped Lily out of the car. "You know, I'm only three months pregnant. I can still see my toes and walk on my own." she laughed as he put his jacket over her head to shield her from the rain. He snorted. "Well, you're starting to show and it's freaking me out." He told her. he was freaking out? She had a legit human growing inside her! But she didn't say anything. They were supposed to be here. This was where he told her to be.
"I'll go check us in." Dean said, handing the bags to Sam. Sam took the bags and looked at Lily. "So, not Isabella?' He asked with a wry smile. She closed her eyes and said no. Again. Dean came back over and took the three bags. "I got us a room. There's a buffet down the hall so you two go get a table and I'll be right down." Dean said. He disappeared towards the elevator. "Come on. I'm starving." Lily dragged Sam towards the buffet. The room was filled with all sorts of foods. Sam told Lily to sit down as he got their food. Just as she was about to sit, her phone rang. She walked away from the table and answered it. "Where are you?" She asked. She hadn't seen him and she needed to know where he was. "Don't worry, kid. I'll be there in a little bit. Just, don't get into any trouble until I arrive alright? They don't trust you and they don't know who I am either. You're just a representative." He explained to her. She nodded, even though he couldn't see her. "Call me when you get here." She said before hanging up. She went back to Sam, who was sitting at their table with two plates of food.
She sat down and grabbed a fork. "Who was that?" He asked, cutting into his steak. "Crowley." She said robotically. She never thought she'd have to lie about him calling her again. Dean joined them, but not before getting tens of samples of pies. He sat down beside Lily and forked bites of several pieces of pie into his mouth. "This is delicious." He moaned. Lily laughed, taking a drink of her water. "We should leave as soon as possible." Sam told them. No, that's what Lily said. "This storm is biblical, Lil." He said. "Exactly. This hotel is the safest place right now." She told him. They couldn't leave. He wasn't here yet. "Sammy, we aren't giving up. We're just...taking a break for a bit. We'll find Adam and Cas, okay? Just rest up a bit until then." Dean said to his brother. Sam hadn't been sleeping, they all knew it. He passed it off as nerves about being a dad in six months, but they knew better. He was worried about Lucifer.
"Goodness, I'm dead tired. I think I'll go to the room and lie down." Lily stood up. She bent down to kiss Sam on the cheek but he stood up. "I'll walk you. This hotel gives me the creeps." Sam said darkly. It should, she thought. "Might as well hit the hay." Dean shoveled the last few forkfuls of pie into his mouth and wiped his lips with a napkin. The three of them retired to their room. The couple in the room next to them was in the hall, kissing. "I'm going to vomit." Lily muttered. Sam ushered her inside and Dean shut the door, smiling. Dean rummaged through the DVD shelf. "Casa Erotica 13. Nice." He grinned. "No." Sam and Lily said simultaneously. "I just want to know what a 4 star hotel is doing on a no star highway." Sam laid on the bed. Dean shushed him. "Hear that?" He grinned, pointing at the wall. From the other room, moans could be heard through the wall. There was a thud as the wall caved in and the other room could be seen. "Sam, you've never done that for me." Lily said quietly.

Sam and Dean wouldn't let her go to investigate. So she was stuck in the room and he still hadn't called. She was flipping through the TV channels, drinking a bottle of water. Her phone beeped. Finally, she thought. She answered the call. "I was starting to think you forgot about me." She laughed. But he was joking around. "I'm here. It's time." He said. She sighed. "I'll get dressed. I'll see you there shortly." He told her not to worry about getting all dressed up. She was pregnant after all. He hung up after that. She sent Sam a quick text that said she was going to sleep and not to wake her up unless it was a serious emergency. She waved her hand, creating an illusion of her sleeping in the bed.
She fixed her hair a bit, pinning the bangs back. She officially hated long hair. She'd have to cut it soon. She sighed in relent, she wasn't trying to impress these people. She grabbed her phone and put it in her pockets. She walked to the meeting room. They were already there. But he wasn't. Damn him. They all looked at her as she walked in the room. The concierge smiled at her. "Hello Mercury." She nodded as he shut the doors behind her.
"Is dinner early?" The woman at the head of the table asked. Mercury said no, but that didn't stop one woman from coming near her, teeth bared. "She looks absolutely delicious." The woman grinned. "I wouldn't." Lily warned her. Who knew what this baby was capable of. The woman continued towards her. "Seriously. Don't. I don't want you to get hurt." Lily pleaded. The woman at the table stood up. "Go no closer. She is with child. I know who this is and she is no meal." The woman shoved the other woman into a chair. "Please, have a seat." The woman smiled graciously. "Take no offense, I prefer standing. Being pregnant is a bitch on the joints sometimes." Lily laughed. The woman smiled wider and nodded. "This is Lillian, daughter of Lucifer and Lilith. She is powerful, even more so now that she is pregnant. Thank you for coming." Kali, goddess of destruction introduced Lily.
The door opened and two guards shoved in two men. "Lily?" The taller one gasped. She closed her eyes. Idiots. "I wasn't allowed to tell you anything." She said automatically. Baldur, who was beside Kali, stood up, a glass of champagne in his hand. "Before we get down to the nit and grit, some ground rules. There will be no sacrificing virgins, we're laying low." Dean groaned. "We're screwed, Sammy." He mumbled. Lily glanced over at them. Why did the gods want them here? "We are here because the Judeo-Christian Apocalypse is coming. And it comes fast. But with us, we have three very important people. Lucifer's own daughter, and the true vessels of Lucifer and his brother, Michael. I suggest you speak now." Baldur advised.
Sam coughed, nudging Dean. A Chinese man raised his hand. "Yes, Zao Chen?" Kali called on him. "We kill them!" He shouted. Lily was in front of him immediately. "No one kills the Winchesters. They are protected." She said threateningly. Kali laughed. "No one kills the Winchesters." Kali repeated. Lily nodded and sighed softly. "There's no Armageddon! When the end does come, I will be eaten by a wolf and the Serpent will rise again!" Odin, of Norse religion, said heftily, laughing. Lily rolled her eyes. There was a reason she never wanted to go to these things. Zao Chen yelled something in Chinese and Odin said something back. Lily saw the brothers edging towards the door. A chandelier fell. "We are not finished." Kali said tightly. Lily sighed.
"The serpent has risen." Lily said quietly. No one but Baldur heard her. "What was that, sweetheart? Speak up." He urged her. She sighed and climbed on the table. "The serpent has risen. Lucifer is depicted as a serpent several times in our Holy Bible. And who is to say that this Apocalypse is not a combination of all ends of all religions? The end of the world is the end of the world. Not just the Judeo-Christian one. All of us will die if this continues to the end of the end." She said calmly. Just as she finished, the doors blew open. Finally, she thought. The man was one she would always recognize. Dean opened his mouth, but the man cut him off. "Lily, lovely seeing you again. Hello Winchester boys." He waved as he entered.
"Loki. Why are you here?" Baldur asked darkly. So he wasn't invited. Typical. "Checking up on an old friend, making sure you gods don't stop the end of the world." Gabriel said, helping Lily off the tabletop. He glanced at the ring on her finger. "About time." He muttered in her ear as she stepped down. He snapped his fingers and the Winchester boys disappeared. "It's time for the big kids to talk. Baldur, Kali, tell me you aren't planning on sacrificing the Winchester boys." He said, clapping his hands together. The two gods looked at each other. "It is the only way to end the Apocalypse. Get rid of the vessels and they have nothing." Baldur explained. He was supported by several of the other gods, clapping their hands and cheering.
Lily rolled her eyes and cleared her throat. Idiot gods. "Do you understand what is happened right now? My father is killing any specimen that comes near him. He does not have his true vessel yet. My uncle...I have not heard from him yet. But the angels that claim to support him are also killing anything that comes into their paths. And there is more than one vessel for Michael. There is another Winchester, a younger boy named Adam." They would never find him, though. "Where is the other boy? We will take him too!" Zao Chen waved his hands. Gabriel patted Lily's shoulder supportively. "Adam Winchester has been taken by the angels. You won't find him unless they want you to. And as for the other boys, if you even think of harming them, you won't live to see the end of the world." Her voice wasn't threatening at all. It was light-hearted.
Kali stared back at her. "She is not just pregnant. The taller one, Sam Winchester, is her husband." She reported. Lily smiled. "And do not think for a second, I would let you harm either of them." Gabriel's hand gripped her shoulder. She was damaging more than she was fixing. Those gods would eat her alive. "Lillian is tired. I will show her to her room and return shortly. Don't have to much fun without me." He winked at Kali and ushered Lily out the door. "They will skin you if you keep threatening them like that." He hissed, walking her down the hall. "They can't touch me. The baby protects me. It almost killed Zachariah when he tried to smite me." she told him. He shook his head. "Listen kid, you're all I got in this messed up world all right? Try to stay alive." He opened her hotel door and they walked in. Sam and Dean were sitting on their beds, staring at the two who just walked in the room.
"What the hell was that about?" Dean asked. "I'm getting you three out of here. Those gods are gonna get you killed. You're either being sacrificed as vessels or used as bait." Gabriel explained, helping Lily sit on the bed. Honestly, she thought, they treat me like I'm nine months pregnant and about to pop. "You were just all for us 'playing our roles' or whatever." Sam reminded the archangel. He shrugged. "And I still am. But not tonight. This isn't the time or place. I gotta find a way to get you kids outta here." Gabriel sighed. "Zap us out, angel boy." Dean told him, wiggling his fingers. Lily leaned over and pushed Sam's hair off his neck. There was a long cut across his neck. "He can't. Not with the two of you bound to Kali. She must have gotten you while you weren't paying attention." Lily rubbed her eyes. All she wanted was sleep.
"Got us with what?" Dean asked. Gabriel said it was a blood binding spell. He couldn't get them out with them bound to her. "So I'm gonna go work my magic on Ms. Destruction and you three wait here until I get back alright. Be ready to run." Dean stopped him before he got to the door. "We get the appetizers out of the freezers." Gabriel said no. Dean said yes. "We're hunters. We save people." Lily told her uncle/brother. He stared back at her. "They are hunters. You are an angel." She said that didn't matter. She was a hunter by choice instead of by blood. He sighed again. "Fine. Make it quick." And he disappeared. The boys looked at her. "We're not done discussing whatever this is." Sam told her. she smiled wickedly and said it was fine by her.

Dean was flung across the room and Sam was grabbed. Lily crossed her arms over her chest. "Zao Chen, don't make a stupid mistake." She warned. The Chinese god stared at her. "You are the one making stupid mistakes." He laughed at her. Her shoulder blades were tingling. Zao Chen's fingers were grasping Sam's neck, choking the life out of him. "Why did you call me here?" She asked. "I am no god." She continued. The tingling sensation was furthering towards itching. Almost. "Because you are bait as well. If Satan does not come for his vessel, he will come for his daughter. You demons are always so...family oriented." Demon. She wasn't a demon. Not anymore. The wings sprouted free. "News flash Zao Chen. I'm an angel." That was only part of the distraction. Dean came up and shoved a stake through his back.
Zao Chen released Sam and fell to the floor. 'Where's Gabe?" Lily whispered, helping Sam stand. Sam's eyes widened. "Lil-!" Someone grabbed her from behind. Baldur. "You three are coming with me." He growled. He used one hand to restrain her and the other to keep Sam and Dean restrained with force. He led them to the meeting room and slammed the doors shut. Gabriel was standing in front of the gods. "We've been tricked by the Trickster. Lied to for years. He is helping Lucifer!" Kali accused. Sam and Dean looked at Lily, who was in the process of rolling her eyes. "He is not Loki, he is the Archangel, Gabriel! He is helping his brother to end the world!" She continued. She shoved her hand into his jacket pocket and pulled out his Archangel blade.
"I am not a spy. I ran away. You have no idea, Kali. I know how this ends. You will not win." He said breathlessly. She smiled down at him. "Westerners. Honestly. Don't you know if anyone gets to end the world, it's going to be me?" With a wink, she stabbed the blade through his chest. "No!" Lily shrieked. The entire room shook, a crack splitting the floor in two. There was a bright flash of light. "You see? They can die and so can Lucifer!" Kali grinned madly, pocketing the blade. Dean coughed. "Listen." He started, "You guys want to gank the Devil. So do we. Let's work together and get it done. Me and Sam, we can get him here and you can finish the job." Dean suggested. Baldur and Kali looked at each other. "In exchange for what?" Kali asked, eyebrows raised. Dean said they had to let their freezer foods go. "Fine. But the girl stays." She winked at Lily. Baldur let her go and shoved the boys out of the room.
"You killed him. You killed my brother." She whispered. Kali scoffed. "He was your uncle." She said. Lily narrowed her eyes. "Formality doesn't matter to me. You killed him and if my father doesn't kill you, I will." She threatened. Kali smiled. "Look, girl to girl okay? I know how you feel sweetheart. You're a monster, an abomination. No one wants you. In fact, I've been meaning to ask all night, what spell did you put on those boys to keep them around?" Lily shoved her back. From the waistband of her jeans, she pulled an Archangel sword. "I'm not a monster. I'm half Archangel. Which means I get one of these." She sliced into Kali's shoulder, causing her to scream. "I would watch my tongue if I were you, before I rip it out." Lily hissed.
"Lil, hey! Lil!" Sam came running back into the room. She looked at him, her eyes black. "I'm sorry." She frowned. He told her it was fine. But was it? "All right lady. You want the Devil, I'm gonna need you to clean my ribs up. There's some junk on them and without it on there, he'll come running." Sam told Kali. Dean ran back into the room. "Big news everyone! Gabriel isn't dead. Sword was a fake." He told everyone. Lily smiled. Good ole Gabe. "We've got bigger things to worry about than my big brother. Lie down Sam." Lily ordered. He got on the table and laid down. "You want my father to show, I'm gonna have to scrub your ribs clean of those Enochian sigils." She lifted his shirt up to the top of his shoulders and placed a small hand on his chest.
"Better hurry. You're turning me on." Sam whispered. She smiled down at him. "Act like it hurts." She murmured. Those sigils were important and they were staying. She had another way. Elysian Fields Hotel. Muncie, Indiana. Come get your vessels, Daddy. Sam pretended to yell in agony for a few seconds. She took her hand away from his chest. "He won't be long." She told Kali.

And he wasn't long. only a few short minutes really. "We're going to be okay." Sam assured Lily. Her blue eyes were wide with fright. The lights flickered as the doors blew open. "You wanna get us outta here?" Dean asked Kali. Someone laughed. "No. You didn't say please." He chuckled, coming into the light. His vessel was being destroyed. The flesh was tearing away piece by piece. Baldur walked up to Lucifer. "Who gave you the right to own the planet? No own." Baldur said deeply. Lily winced. "Don't." Kali whispered. Lucifer shoved his hand inside Baldur's stomach. "I took it." He smiled as he released Baldur, letting him die.
Kali's arms engulfed in bright fire, which she sent flying at Lucifer. As the flames died down, he was not hurt or even singed. He punched her in the mouth, sending her into the back wall. "Hey sis. How are ya?" Gabriel whispered behind Lily. She smiled. He slipped something into Dean's waist band and told him to guard it with his life. Lucifer walked over to Kali, about to smite her into oblivion. He was thrown back into the doors. Gabriel loomed over him, his real sword in his hands. Lucifer stood up. "Get Kali out of here." Gabriel told Sam and Dean. Lucifer raised his eyebrows. "A girl? You're going to fight me over a woman?" He laughed. Gabriel sighed. He was doing that a lot tonight. "Look, Lucifer. You're my brother all right? I love you a lot too man. But you are the biggest bag of dicks I've ever met." Gabriel said lightly.
Lucifer glared at his brother. "Watch your tongue before I rip it out." He growled. Gabriel and Sam both looked at Lily. "I see where you get your temper." Sam whispered. She told him to get Kali to the car and drive away. She would catch up with them. He knew it was too dangerous for her to stay, but he wasn't arguing. He picked Kali up and ushered Dean outside. "Look man," Gabriel started. "you gotta grow up. You and I both know this is a pretty big temper tantrum." He said. "Excuse me?" Lucifer hissed. Gabriel stood straighter. "He loved you best. Everyone knew it. But none of us were jealous the least bit. He brought home a new toy and you got jealous. Suck it up, Lucy." Gabriel said tightly.
Lucifer glared at his brother. "I'm on their side, Lucifer. Not on yours or Michael's. The people's side. They are not perfect, but they try. Harder than we ever did. And I respect that." Gabriel continued. Lily could see someone over her father's shoulder. Dean? No. Gabriel. But then...? A trick. An illusion. She hid a smile as the real Gabriel came up behind her father with a sword. But her father turned at the last second, just as Gabriel was about to kill him. "I taught you everything you know. Don't forget that." Lucifer muttered, shoving the blade into Gabriel's chest. Lily covered a scream as there was a flash of light. Her father looked at her.
"You changed vessels." He noted. She stared at him, tears pooling in her eyes. "I was dying while you were in Carthage. Gabriel helped save me. And this is how you repay him, your own brother. You truly are the Devil." She hissed. He stared at her. He had created that. "You are with child. Are you married?" She nodded. "Sam. I'm three months." Why was she telling him this? He was a monster. But your father, a small part of her said. She wanted to love him, to have him love her. Her wings spread and her eyes turned black. "You'll pay for what you've done." She whispered, before disappearing.

"So all we need are the rings of Pestilence and Death and we're good." Sam said lightly. "It's a plan, at least." Dean said. "I can get them." Lily said drowsily. They thought she was asleep. But they didn't know how restless she was. She had watched Gabe die and was ready to pour her heart out to her father. She couldn't sleep. "No. It's dangerous." Sam said immediately. She stared back at him, blue on green. "I don't care. I'll be fine. My brother is dead and I could have done something about it. I can get the rings easily." Dean pulled the car over to the side of the road and looked back at her. "How?" She smiled. "Let's just say I'm pretty good friends with the Four Horsemen. They'll give me what I want." Neither liked the sound of that.

They were stopped at a motel for the night and Dean was gone for pie. Sam and Lily were laying in the bed. She was flipping through a pregnancy book and he was about to pass out. "Sam?" She whispered. He mumbled something. "Sam." She repeated. He looked at her groggily. "I love you." She smiled. God, she loved him. He grinned back lazily. "Love you more babe." He leaned up and kissed her cheek softly before falling asleep. She shut the book and tossed it in her bag. "We'll be okay Sammy. I'll make sure we're all okay." She said, rubbing her stomach. There was no way she was letting her father ruin this.
