Prom

"Raven!" Her father yelled from the bottom of the stairs. "Your date is here!" He hollered before looking at the tux wearing man. "Hurry up before Elia catches glimpse, I don't want to be the one who has to set up the photo shoot."

Her eyes rose from the picture of her mother she was holding. "Please make this night memorable." She whispered softly to herself before setting it gently on her bed. Standing up, she slipped on her heels and took a deep breath. This was what she was waiting for, wasn't it? Putting on a smile, she opened her door and carefully stepped down the stairs. "You're early."

Aqualad gave her that smile he always wore, "Sorry about that, I just couldn't wait to see you. You look gorgeous." He handed her a black corsage, matching perfectly with her dress. "We should head out; it was nice to meet you Sir." He said politely to Trigon.

Trigon just nodded, not wanting to say what was going on in his mind. Elia on the other hand was grinning like a happy mother she was. "You two are so cute, I want to take pictures. Where is my camera?" With that, the woman disappeared to search for it.

Raven chuckled lightly, "We should go." She looked down at the corsage before putting it on her wrist. "Tell her sorry but we'll see you both later." She watched her father's expression change before it went blank again. She knew what he was thinking, but she wasn't going to have any of it. She was going to Prom with Aqualad, that was that. "See you." Leading him out of the house, she walked over to his car. "Let's hurry."

oOoOoOo

Sighing softly, he rolled on his side. "I'm not going." He grumbled. "Why should I? I'm not going with anyone I love." His eyes were half closed as he stared at his best friend, "You're wasting your time here while you could be out there having fun."

Cyborg frowned, "So that's it? You're giving up?" Walking over through the messy bedroom, he kicked Beast Boy off his bed. "You're just going to let that guy steal your girl and do nothing about it? No wonder she left you, you don't even try." He huffed, watching the green skinned male grunt as he hit the floor. "Well?"

Beast Boy said nothing, staring blankly at the floor. What could he do? Raven was done with him, he yelled at her. His eyes closed, "I'll just make her angrier if I do something." He didn't know what he could do to fix this; he didn't want to make it even worse. His hands curled into fists as he sat up, "I don't know what to do." He felt pathetic, he felt heartbroken. As corny as it sounded, he felt lost without her.

Cyborg sighed in frustration, "You know what's going to happen at that dance tonight? Either two things, Aqualad is going to reveal he's just using her so you two can't be together, causing her to get upset and do who knows what. Do you really want her to be in a stall in the girls' bathroom crying her eyes out? Or two, he's going to use her by getting her drunk, sleep with her and then leave her behind like trash. We know how that guy works; he's a worst player than we all used to be put together. Then she'd been used and been crying. Do you really want that for her? What kind of man are you?"

The other looked at him before crawling back on his bed, "I won't let that happen to her. I'll kill him before he gets the chance to touch her like that." He threatened as his brows furrowed, "What can I do though? I don't even have a ticket. Or a tux."

Cyborg gave a grin, "Aren't I your best friend? I already got this covered; I knew you were going to be all depressed like this." He shot his thumb behind him, "It's all in the living room. I have to go and get Bumble Bee. I'll see you soon. Best of luck with getting your girl back man."

Beast Boy watched him make his exit before standing up. Looking at the time, he realized he didn't have much time to get ready.

oOoOoOo

She stepped out of the car, immediately getting hit by the loud wave of music coming from inside. How on earth have the cops not been called? Shrugging, she waited for Aqualad. He seemed to be taking his sweet time however, chatting on his phone with someone. He said it was important so she told him she didn't mind it. Well, she was beginning to mind it. Rubbing her arms, she shivered lightly. So many cars were lined up, seems they weren't as early as they thought.

Aqualad shoved his phone in his pocket, "Let's go ahead and head inside." He began, now finished with everything he had to do and say on that cell phone of his.

She wanted to hold his hand, show that the two weren't just two strangers going to this dance. But the thing was, they really were just that; Strangers. Giving a quick nod, she quietly followed behind him. The music was much louder inside; she could barely hear her own thoughts. This was completely out of her zone.

"I'm going to go and get us some punch." With that, her date vanished within the crowd of people, she was now alone.

Deciding today was the best day to become a Wallflower; she headed over to the wall and stood there. So many beautiful dresses her, by everyone's bright smiles, she could tell they were all having a great time. Soon she's have one of those matching smiles. Soon.

"Raven? You look so pretty." Starfire wore a smile as she walked alongside Robin, hand in hand. She wore a light green dress that really made her eyes pop out, maybe she was being modest.

She looked up and was quite surprised the redhead was talking to her. Seeing that as soon as she broke up with Beast Boy, she separated herself from the group. Aqualad said it was for the best, it would help her get over the teen. "T-Thank you. You look beautiful too Starfire." Her eyes dropped to the floor, "Have fun with the dance you two."

Starfire pursed her lips, "You have no date?" She had wanted her and Beast Boy to go together but after that breakup, it was clear that was impossible. She heard gossip and rumors about a new guy but she didn't know if it was true. Robin had also mentioned it to her before.

Raven felt her cheeks burning slightly, "I do. He's around here somewhere, he's getting punch. He'll be back here soon; I'm just waiting for him."

Robin suddenly frowned, annoyed with how everything had taken place. "Why did you come here with that Dick? We both know-"

Starfire raised her hand to stop him, "If you see us around, you should come dance with us. Cyborg and Bumble Bee will be here to join us too." She paused when seeing that look on Raven's face, "He's not coming though so you don't have to worry about it." Her smile softened, I'm sure he will be however. She felt Robin's hand tighten against hers before noticing a ravenette approaching them.

"We'll see you later Raven," Robin didn't look happy at all, he especially didn't want his fiancé near this guy. "Let's go Star, I want to dance." Though he hated dancing, it was worth it.

Starfire nodded and glanced back at Raven in concern before following behind him, a new smile forming on her lips.

Raven's eye's saddened; Beast Boy still wasn't coming after all. An arm suddenly wrapped around her, she looked to see Aqualad's grin. Looking down at the punch, she grabbed it. Bringing it to her lips, she could taste the difference in flavor. This wasn't normal punch. Very similar taste as the punch Cyborg had given her that one time. She looked at him and noticed he didn't even have his own cup.

So that was his plan, he wanted her to get drunk. Swallowing the small content in her mouth, she stared at her cup. "Thank you." Closing her eyes, she tilted her head back as she allowed much more of the liquid burn passed her throat. Pulling the cup from her lips, she smiled at Aqualad. "Let's go dance."

A/N: Seems we may have another visit with Drunken Raven. Who knows, we'll just have to see next chapter. Please leave a review, see you all next time. Also, many of you have been reviewing that the chapters have been short. I know and I'm really sorry about that.
