Kel carefully eased up on the controls as he landed the ship, taking a deep breath of the icy phazonic air as he stepped out into the cold,
"Ah…Just like old times."
He strode over to the door leading inside the massive Leviathan seed sitting before him, followed by the remaining space pirates.
"You've done well." He complimented, looking back over his shoulder, "In the long run, we'll all be rewarded."
The thieves nodded in response and continued through the door, carefully transporting the Spark Rifle inside. They made their way through the labyrinth of hallways, entering a slightly larger door. Dark Samus stood at the room's center, her power armor fitting tightly around her body. Kel approached, proudly presenting the stolen weapon,
"Told you I'd find something."
The Dark Hunter turned, eyeing the strange but fascinating device in front of her, "What is that, might I ask?"
"I'm not sure what they call it, but it has a calamitous effect on whatever it hits."
"Show me."
Kel turned, aiming the gun at a few covenant energy batteries stacked in the corner. A bright beam of energy shot out from the tip, which struck the batteries with a fair amount of force. The objects, all covered with red splotches, were thrown from their resting places, nearly exploding as they struck the walls. A few moments later nothing remained of them. The nearby Space Pirates roared and snarled in triumph.
Dark Samus smiled, removing her helmet, "I like what I see."
"Its power holds few bounds." Kel explained, inspecting the weapon more closely. "I'm not sure of the extent of its effects, however from what I've seen, the larger the object, the longer it takes to disintegrate. A minor limitation."
The dark angel grinned, stroking the side of his face, "I knew I could count on you."
She gently grabbed hold of Kel's hand, guiding him back out the door, "Come; we've got plenty to do."
