Renesmee's POV:

His hand was tight on the back of my neck and it got really sore.

I was crying, but he didn't help me. He just laughed when I cried and tightened his grip. I swung up and started to hit his face with my first, with my thumb on the outside of my fingers not the inside, like Jake had taught me 'Having your thumb on the inside can risk breaking it when you punch, I got no clue what it'll be like for you but we won't take that risk.' he had told me. So I hit like this. It didn't do anything to him, like I was hitting a brick wall.

He reached down and with one hand pulled open a big metal door with lots of screws and bars and he threw me inside. I hit the ground hard, and my chest was hurting. He didn't care that I'm a little girl. To them I'm a monster, but I'm not.

It was dark but I could tell I was in a kind of dungeon. The walls were dark, cobblestone and with green moss growing outwards from each crevice. I struggled to get up—I was in a kind of depression on the floor. Where am I? What's going on? I looked up and on the wall was shackles and bolts and chains and they were bloody, the blood was wet.

I gasped.

Maybe this was where some other unfortunate soul had been chained up? Maybe the humans?

The room smelt bad, but it wasn't a scent humans I could smell. I knew the smell. I had smelt it the day of the battle and again at the cabin. The smell of dead people. Of death. It was quiet in here but I felt as if I could still hear the screams or tortured humans echoing off the walls. It made me shudder, thinking about it. I knew what other vampires did, they killed people. I know they have to, a lot of vampires at the cabin left to kill people, others used blood-bags but most traveled to hunt. I couldn't imagine hurting people, people like Grandpa and Grandma, like Uncle Billy and other people at home. I didn't like to think about that, imagining my Grandpa and Grandma being hurt. I stopped thinking about them and looked around again; on the other side of the room was a torch, lit with fire. It made the room brighter. I looked at the fire and then felt a sting in my throat, it hurt badly so I grabbed my throat, hoping I could stop the fire but my throat was burning! It made my cheeks feel warm and tears fall. I rubbed them away but I kept burning.

I needed to hunt; I hadn't been this thirsty before.

I got up and walked to the door. It was metal, a heavy metal. I lifted my hand up and smacked the door.

"Hey!" I yelled, "Hey!" No one came. "Hey!" I screeched one more time. Then a metal slit like a watch hole opened and red eyes looked down at me.

"I'm thirsty." I snarled.

He laughed to himself before dropping something through the hole. I then cried out, screamed and jumped back. I didn't realize how far I had jumped. I was up in the corner of the room, my head bent in a bad position as I pushed myself further into the ceiling, my fingers were digging into the rock to keep me up and I growled at the rat that scurried across the room.

"I don't eat rodents!" I yelled.

"Why not?" he laughed at me. "You feed off animals don't you, there is an animal. It's the only blood abominations such as yourself deserve." I growled and jumped at him. I moved faster than I had before, Jake would have been proud. I hit the metal door, and my hand shot through the small hole and I grabbed a handful of hair before he jumped back.

"Get off me you little brat!" he yelled, using his hand and then the next thing I knew I was on the floor, crying and I couldn't see. Blood was running down my mouth and dirt was in my eye. I cried out, holding myself. I didn't want to cry in front of him, I was strong, Jake told me. I had to act brave in front of the likes of him! I looked at him.

"I'm going to kill you." I yelled and he closed the bar and walked off, laughing to himself. I sat and pulled my knees to my chest and tried not to cry. I wanted Jacob. Or Grandma, or Auntie Rose, or someone.

I wanted Mummy.

Then someone was crying? It wasn't me and it wasn't coming from inside this cell, but I could hear crying as clear as day. I sat up and looked around, before I saw it. In the corner of the room, the bottom left hand corner there was a tiny, little hole in the wall. It was about the size of my hand and the crying was coming from in there; it sounded like a little girl.

I ran towards the hole, crawled down and looked through. There was nothing that I could see but another wall in that cell. The crying was coming from in there, who was crying?

"Hello?" I asked quietly, just in case the man outside heard me and stopped me from talking to whoever was crying. "Hello? Are you there?" I asked again, the crying stopped, I heard a shuffle of feet and the voice was closer now but I couldn't see anything.

"Hello?" a voice said and I smiled. The voice was gentle, and pretty. A little girl.

"Hello." I said again. "Who are you?" I asked, she was crying and didn't answer me. "Are you a girl from Voltura?" I asked. When we got here I heard the bad vampires talking about how the humans were kept in the dungeons, there wasn't a human around for miles and miles. She cried but then replied.

"Voltura?" she asked,

"Yes. We're in Voltura now. It's in Italy I think." I replied.

"Italy!" she exclaimed.

"Yeah…what's your name?" I asked her.

"Quinn." she replied. Quinn? I didn't know a Quinn.

"How did you get here? Why are you in the cell?" I asked.

"I-I don't know." she started to cry again. I tried to calm her down even though I was crying too. "I don't know." she cried again. "They came in the night." she begun. "I was in bed when my mummy and daddy started crying and yelling. Daddy had told me a safe word. Narnia. If he ever shouted Narnia from anywhere in the house. I had to run into my closet and crawl through the hole in the back off it into the walls of the house and put the wood back up over it. Then he said I had to hide there until he came for me. But when he shouted it, they came into my room."

"Who did?" I asked, "The men in the cloaks?" I asked.

"I thought they were monsters." she cried,

They are.

"They had red eyes and they were fast. They pushed my mummy away from me, and pulled me out of the closet before I got into the hole. They put ropes around me and held my mouth. I saw my daddy on the ground bleeding and then I woke up here. They took me through the hall until the mad lady grabbed me."

"Mad lady?" I asked then I realized she must have meant Jane.

"Yes. I was in a big room, it was beautiful but she was there and she was laughing at me. There were others sat next to her and there were the men who had taken me, all holding a woman down."

"A woman?" I asked.

"T-They told me that she was my real mummy, she looked pretty. She had long dark hair and yellow eyes, they were very pretty not like the other people and she was crying my name. They told me her name was Jade but I had to call her mummy."

"Jade!" I exclaimed. Jade as in my Jade? From the Sanctuary. Jade was this girl's mummy?

"Yes. Her name was Jade. We were locked in a room together and I thought she was going to hurt me but she told me she's my real mummy, and that my other mummy was looking after me, because it wasn't safe for her to be with me. I was crying and she hugged me. Then they came in and dragged me away. The mad lady went in and talked to Jade. It was a long time ago and I haven't seen my mummy, Jade, since."

Jade's this girls mummy? Then why did she leave her? And why was Jade with us and not with…Quinn? I was so confused. Jade seemed so happy. Maybe she joined the army to help rescue Quinn, but why would she leave in the first place?

Quinn was crying then, and it was the loudest it had been. "It hurts!" Quinn was crying.

"I know, I know it hurts Quinn." It hurt me to be alone like this. With no family. But my Jake would save me. He tried but they stabbed him. I instantly burst out crying then, the memory of Jake being held down, beat up by the vampires and stabbed. He would save me…if he was alive. I know the wolves healed fast but he didn't look okay. What if? What if Jake didn't make it?

No. He did. He's my Jake and he's on his way right now to save me. He won't let them hurt me. Jake will save me.

"It's okay. They killed my family too." I told her, as I sat and held my legs to me. I was cold, and the rat was still scurrying around.

"They did?" she asked.

"Yeah." I told her. "They killed my mummy and my daddy and my auntie and my grandpa and more people I love."

"You." she replied, "You're the one that they talk about. The one that they've been looking for?" I smiled and nodded.

"Yep." I replied.

"What's your name?" she asked.

"My name is Renesmee." I replied, she was quiet for a second before saying.

"Remsey?" she asked, confused and I laughed and she did too.

"Just call me Nessie." I told her, "Everyone does."

"Like the loch Ness Monster?" she asked and I burst out laughing.

"Exactly like the Loch Ness Monster. My mummy hated the name!" I laughed and she joined in, while we carried on crying.

Quinn and I had talked for a long time, it had to have been an hour. I kept thinking that any minute my Jacob would break through that door and save me, save us and we'd all go. He'd finally kill Jane and we'd be happy. Maybe go home. I missed home so much. But time ticked on by and Jake didn't come. Maybe it was just taking a long time to get here.

The guards had come to check on me twice, and each time we pretended to have not talked to each other. I cried, mostly because of my thirst but they didn't care.

"It hurts." Quinn cried again not long after the guard left.

"I know it does, but when you see your family again it'll be okay." I told her, knowing very well she might never see her family again.

"It burns." she cried.

Burns? It burns?

"What burns?" I asked quietly. She continued to cry.

"It burns…"

"What burns? Quinn?" I asked. She cried and I moved closer to the hole. "Quinn?" I asked.

"M-my throat. My throat burns,"

Her…throat?

"Since when?" I asked, shocked.

"Since the mad lady hurt me." I waited for her to continue, "Just a few minutes after mummy Jade left, the mad lady came into the room and she grabbed me, it hurt and then she…she bit me."

"She bit you?" I gasped,

"Yes. Then she set me on fire. It burned me so bad, for days I was crying, begging for her to help me and a drink of water but they just laughed at me. Now when it stopped I keep getting it in my throat…they threw a man in and I thought he was going to help me because he didn't have red eyes. But he was hurt and bleeding, on his neck and he was crying."

"Quinn…" I breathed.

"I didn't want to hurt him. But I had to. I bit him and then I got his blood in my mouth…but it didn't taste bad. It was helping my burn. Like drinking water. I didn't want to hurt him, Nessie, honest."

"Quinn…come to the hole." I said. I knelt down and peered through, I saw her shadow before she leant down.

"What's wrong? Nessie?" she asked as I stared in horror at the flaming red eye, staring back at me.

FanWriter's Note: Hey guys, this will be the only chapter in this story from Nessie's POV. I thought it would be good to include this little scene where Renesmee meets Quinn, the daughter of Jade. It was actually difficult to write this chapter, I was trying to write from the point of view from an eight year old little girl, when I'm a seventeen year old male. It was difficult, sorry if it didn't seem to come from a child's POV but…I'm not a child.

Question for chapter 28 is…

How did you feel about the end of this chapter?
