Hey guys. I'm back! This chapter is a bit shorter but I have the next two chapters written so when I get time, I'll update. It should be fairly soon. All characters belong to Stephenie Meyer and thanks to my beta Amanda.

Chapter 28

BPOV

"Edward, I want to marry you," I whispered on the way to the backyard where the wedding was apparently set up. "But I feel like Riley needs to become a Cullen at the same time that I do."

"He will become a Cullen the same time that you will,"

"But we haven't gotten the adoption papers back yet…?" I whispered, wondering, suddenly, if we had. "We got them back, didn't we?"

"Yes, we did." He smiled down at me then, we stopped moving. "Relax. Everything is all planned and set up. Breathe. You don't need to worry about anything."

"Isn't it bad luck for us to see each other before the wedding?" I asked as the thought popped into my mind. Edward laughed, grabbing Riley's attention, and making the baby kick.

"Don't worry about it," he said, again, before we kept moving.

Alice refused to let me see anything as she prepared me for my wedding. She put a blindfold on me and told me that I wasn't allowed to take it off until the wedding was about to start. She would have to take it off to do my eye make-up but she promised me that she'd do my eye make-up right before the wedding.

I was shocked that Alice was able to get invitations sent out, a priest lined up, the venue set, and my dress without me knowing about it. She assured me that it took a lot of work but it would all be worth it in the end.

"Should I feel as nervous as I do?" I asked my soon-to-be sister-in-law.

"Yes. It's normal for brides to feel nervous. Remember how nervous I was on my wedding day and Rosalie, too?"

"Yeah, but you guys had time to wrap your head around it. Edward and I have been focused on the baby and not even thinking about the wedding. At least, I haven't been thinking about the wedding. It seems he has."

"Bella, you're going to be okay. You and Riley are going to officially become Cullens so that when your little baby comes into the world, he or she can be a Cullen, too."

"It's a girl," I confessed to Alice in a whisper. Her hands stopped manipulating my hair.

"What?"

"The baby," I clarified. "I'm having a little girl."

"Bella! Why didn't you tell me?" Alice whined.

"Edward didn't want to tell everyone. So, you are officially the first person to know outside of me, Riley and Edward."

"You suck. You know that?"

[(o,o)]

"You ready, Bells?" my father asked, coming up behind me, as I stood breathing heavily in the kitchen. I nodded, slowly, trying to keep my eyes off of the white dress. My dress was beautiful, don't get me wrong, but every time I saw it, I had a mini panic attack. It wasn't that I didn't like my dress because I loved it. I just had a hard time thinking about what I was about to do. I don't do tremendously well with crowds and I was a bit nervous walking out of this house eight months pregnant.

"I won't let you fall, Bella. There's nothing to worry about. Riley is going to go first and then we're going. The wedding will only take a few hours and I don't think Alice planned a reception. It'll be over before you know it."

"Good because little baby Cullen won't let Mommy stay on her feet too long." I joked, laying my hand on my stomach. Then, I heard the music begin to play and a hush fell across the yard. Riley walked out, slowly, smiling the whole way. When he reached Edward, I saw Edward pick him up and then put him down right next to him, ruffling his hair. Then, it was my turn. When I saw Edward waiting for me at the end of the aisle, I couldn't contain myself. I started walking too fast and Charlie didn't stop me; he just kept up. I reached for Edward's hand and smiled when I felt his hand finally grab on to mine.

The priest didn't take a long time—apparently, Alice told him to hurry it up because I was pregnant and couldn't stand too long—and, before I knew it, the vows were upon us. Before we were announced husband and wife, the priest made Riley an official Cullen.

"Isabella Marie Swan, do you consent to the adoption of Riley Peter Swan by Edward Anthony Masen Cullen?"

"I do,"

"And Paul Xavier Newton, would you please rise?" Out of nowhere, Paul stood up and made his way to the altar. "Do you, Paul Xavier Newton, consent to the adoption of Riley Peter Swan by Edward Anthony Masen Cullen?"

For a second, I thought Paul was going to say no even though he'd already signed all of the legal documents. But, he took a deep breath, sighed, and then said, "I do." He made his way back to his seat and the priest waited for him to sit before continuing.

"By the powers vested in me, I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen…and son." I smiled at Edward and then down at Riley.

"Can I kiss my wife now?" Edward asked, impatiently. I giggled and as soon as the priest said the famous words, Edward's lips were on mine. I kept the kiss nice and short and, when I pulled away, Edward pulled Riley up into his arms.

"Now presenting, Edward, Isabella, and Riley Cullen," Alice cheered as we walked into the house. And that was that. I was, officially, Edward Cullen's wife.

[(o,o)]

"I love you," Edward whispered to me as we lay in bed that night. His arms were wrapped around me and his thumb slowly moved in circles on my large belly.

"I love you, too."

"We're married," he said. I could hear him smiling while he spoke. My heart soared.

"Finally," I mumbled. I turned to face him and moved my hand to caress his face. "After all that we've been through, we are finally back where we're supposed to be."

"We're together, we're in love, and we have a beautiful son and a daughter on the way. Everything is perfect," he said. But, he spoke too soon because, just then, Riley came running into our room, struggling to breathe. His hands were over his heart and he was trying to breath. I knew the signs. This was the break that I'd been terrified of for years. He was having an asthma attack.

"Edward! He can't breathe! We need to go to the hospital." I said, getting worked up and jumping out of bed. I ran to my son and lifted him, as best I could, into my arms.

"Does he have an inhaler?" Edward asked, petrified and running around getting shoes on and his keys off of the dresser.

"No. His asthma was undiagnosed. They said that they couldn't tell if he for sure had asthma or not."

"Give him to me. I can carry him faster than you, love. We need to leave, now."

Edward ran down the stairs and to the car with Riley in his arms. I followed, slower, as to not fall down the stairs again. We didn't need two of us in the hospital. When I got to the car, I sat in the back with Riley.

"Try and breathe, buddy. We need to stay calm, okay? Just try and breathe. Mommy's here and Daddy's here." I whispered to him. I didn't want to scare him even more. We got to the hospital faster than I'd expected and Riley was being unloaded, instantly.

[(o,o)]

"He's fine, Bella." Carlisle told me, coming out of his room. Edward didn't want me in there because he didn't want the stress to do anything to the baby. "I can confirm now that he does, in fact, have asthma. I'm not sure what triggered his attack but we'll need to try and investigate it so that it doesn't happen again. I have an inhaler for him for you to take home and he's going to be fine. He just needs to let you know when he's feeling tight in his chest. I told him the things to look for so that he can tell you and Edward."

"Okay but what does this mean, now? I don't know how to feel. I've been worried about him for his whole life and now it's actually here and I don't even know if I helped him correctly. I don't know his triggers. I'm going into this blind."

"We'll figure out his triggers in due time. He has an inhaler now so it won't be as bad next time."

"But how do you know. We can't know for a fact that he'll be fine. He's only five for God's sake."

"Bella, calm down. We don't need you to go into labor over this. Don't worry. Riley is smart. If something doesn't feel right, he'll tell you. In the meantime, Paul is going to need an inhaler to keep with him. I'll bring you a few so that we can all have at least one."

"I forgot to tell Paul!"

"Bella," Edward asked, poking his head out of the room. "He's asking for you."

"Okay," I said, moving to the hospital room. I asked Edward to call Paul while I stayed with Riley. When I walked in and saw my baby boy in that hospital bed, my heart ached.

"I'm sorry, buddy," I said, as tears sprung into my eyes. To my utter astonishment, my boy giggled.

"I'm okay, Mommy! It's not your fault. Pa Pa says that we thinked that I had a breathing problem since I was a little tiny baby like my sister. But he said he gives me medicine and that I need to tell you when I need it."

"Are you sure that you're okay?"

"Momma! Riley Peter Cullen is okay. Just like Momma Cullen should be okay too because we are with Daddy forever now so we have to be happy."

"Well, when you put it like that…" I teased, smiling. Riley threw his arms around my neck and I heard him breathing deeply and not wheezing. He was okay. He'd be okay.
