So sorry this is late, my weekend was crazy in some good ways and some very bad. I had funerals Friday and Saturday. But on a good note I saw Maleficent in IMAX 3D. It was awesome! Disney For The Win! I was thinking of adding a little bit of it into this fanfiction, just because I loved it that much. Anyway! Here you are!
The three of them went ahead of Emma and Gold and sat in the Pizza place.
"What do you guys like?"
"Pepperoni and olives!" the two chorused.
"How alike are you two?"
"Very… but the whole relation thing makes all the sense in the world." Autumn said.
"I chalked it up with you living with my grandparents for as long as you did." Henry shrugged.
"It was a relatively short while actually." Autumn said.
"Wait, who are your grandparents Kid?" Neal asked.
"Snow White and Prince Charming." Autumn said casually.
"You lived with them?" Neal asked. "Where were your parents?"
"Well until recently I thought my mother was dead, but Regina really kept her locked away. Then Dad let the Charmings capture him."
"Let? I thought they tricked him." Henry said, Autumn laughed.
"Think about what you just said." Autumn said.
"Yeah, being tricked doesn't sound like Dad. So how was living in Snow White's castle?" Neal asked.
"Eh… it wasn't as good as MY castle, but I appreciated them taking in. The library was entirely too small, but the gardens were huge. All they needed were more roses. The swans were pretty though." Autumn shrugged,
"To you every library is too small." Henry laughed.
"Henry if only you would have seen my library back home, then you'd understand."
"I think we'll have to check out the New York library." Neal smiled as pizza came. "So your castle?"
"Yeah… didn't Daddy have the castle with you?"
"I grew up in a hut." Neal said.
"Dang." Autumn said, eating a slice. "Oh my… this is delicious."
"Best pizza ever!"
"I told you guys." Neal smirked triumphantly.
"We are getting one of these in town too."
"So… this town." Neal started.
"I think it's great. I'm having Daddy put in a Cinnabon." Autumn smiled, "And New York style pizzeria."
"Dad is putting it in, because?" Neal asked.
"Daddy owns the town." Autumn smiled.
"Which really means Autumn owns the town." Henry teases.
"Snarky comment from the mayor's daughter." Autumn said back.
"Emma's the mayor?" Neal asked shocked.
"Nah, she's the sheriff, Henry was adopted by the mayor." Autumn smiled.
"Ah…" Neal chuckled. "Yeah she kinda got you there kid." He clapped Henry on the shoulder.
"This is great." Henry smiled. "You two act alike, even though you guys have never met, you guys even have the same eyes." Autumn giggled.
"I've always wanted a brother. Until now the closest I've had was Dove… and August." Neal looked Autumn's way.
"You know August?"
"Yeah. We were friends back home. Are you guys friends?" Autumn asked.
"Kind of. He took my money."
"Eh… he took some of my stuff too." Autumn started.
"You just deal with it." Both Neal and Autumn said at the same time.
"So. Related." Henry said. The rest of the dinner went like that. They laughed and Neal tried his best to know both his little sister and his son as well as he could. They walked back with Emma and Gold,
"Let's go grab your camera kid," Neal said to Henry, "and we'll ride the subway."
"What's a subway?" Autumn asked.
"You're going to have so much fun." Neal chuckled.
"Did you hear that Papa? I'm going to ride a subway! I'm more excited than the day you bought me a unicorn." Autumn giggled.
"Unicorn?" Emma asked.
"Yeah. I was 5." Autumn giggled. They walked into the building and Emma and Gold stayed back while the three went to the apartment. They only climbed about half a flight of stairs when they heard Emma yell from down the stairs.
"What the hell? Stay behind me." Neal said, starting down the stairs. When they got to the bars Autumn saw her father slumped against the cage.
"Papa?" She said silently, but he didn't turn. "Papa!" she ran past Neal who attempted to grab her and stepped out the metal door and to her father's side. He was bleeding from his chest and in pain but he was alive.
"What happened?" Neal asked then he looked at the ground, Autumn's eyes widened as Hook was on the ground.
"Hook." Neal and Autumn said at the same time. Neal gave Autumn a strange look and then went to Gold's other side. Autumn took the scarf off her neck and pressed it to her father's wound.
"Belle?" Gold asked.
"No Papa… it's me, it's Rosie." Autumn said, looking at a disgusting yellow liquid that was mixed with her father's blood. "Bae is going to help you get upstairs." Neal nodded and took Gold from under the arms, and Emma helped lift from the other arm. Henry held the door open then took the keys to unlock the apartment door. The two adults set Gold on the couch where Autumn rejoined her father's side.
"How do you know Hook, Autumn?" Neal asked seriously, as she kept pressure on her father's wound.
"More importantly, how do you know Hook?" Emma asked, then looked at Autumn's blood stained scarf. "And what the hell is that?"
"Poison." Gold croaked. "Autumn, go wash your hands."
"Papa…"
"Now." He said, Autumn nodded and turned to Neal. "Hook shot my mother… and made her lose her memories. Even of me." And she washed her hands. When she returned, Emma wasn't there.
"She went to put Hook in the storage room." Henry said.
"I'm going to go check on her."
"I need to make a phone call…" Neal started.
"Screw your phone call." Autumn snapped. "Don't you see that Papa is dying? If you can't put your anger and hate aside for the few minutes it will take for me to go get Emma, then you are no better than him." She sighed. "I am going to get Daddy's cane. He needs one in this world, I don't really know why, he never needed one back home. " She turned on her heel and left the apartment. When she got back downstairs, Emma was standing back facing Hook, Autumn noticed that Hook was waking up, and Emma was fumbling with trying Neal's keys to open the storage room. Autumn snuck behind Hook, opened the metal door silently and grabbed her father's cane.
"You should have stayed in Storybrooke and taken the chance I gave you to actually live in this world. But you'd rather die in your old." Emma turned quickly confused at Autumn's outburst. Hook turned just as quickly and Autumn swung the grip end of her father's cane with all her might. She was quick enough to catch Hook off guard, and strong and targeted enough to crack the handle against both the man's temple and nose. She hit his nose hard enough to displace it and cause blood to pour from it as the grown man crumpled to the ground, once again unconscious. Emma stepped closer and looked at Autumn's handy work in shock.
"That was a bit violent for you kid." She said.
"That was a bit violent for Autumn…" Autumn responded. "We need to get Papa home… he's dying."
"He got here on his ship. I've got us a car to the harbor. I just need help to get Dad down stairs." Neal said.
"A ship… back home?" Autumn said skeptically.
"The Jolly Roger is the fasted ship ever, and I know how to sail it." Neal said.
"Secretive…" Autumn said back.
"If you are implying Papa-like, I should point out the cane to the face I just saw." Neal said back.
"I never denied being like Daddy… I was Princess of the Dark Castle. People see my sweet deposition and forget who I am, then confuse my sweetness for weakness… then they find out how wrong they are." Autumn eyed her half-brother up and down as she ascended before him on the stairs.
You Don't. Mess. With. Autumn's. Daddy! Especially if you got away with hurting her Mama because she believes in second chances and sees good in you. Secondly, if she says sit with her (and your) dying Daddy... you better effing do it! Hahaha it's on like donky kong!
