Hey guys. Sorry for the long wait. There are different excuses. One) School. Two) Homework. And some others. And truthfully, I was gonna post this tomorrow, but I had a bad day and needed to write. During karate, I had a panic attack for certain reasons. And I rarely get panic attacks, rarely. And then I went home, telling my dad. He didn't believe me. Normally, my dad supports me in a long of things, he's the one to console me when I need it. But today, he had to go to work and he was grumpy when he got home. He said I was emotionally weak and was crying at karate to get out of something when in reality it was a panic attack! I yelled at him to not yell at me and ran to my room, and he said back, "You're running away now just like what you did at karate!"
So, I went to my room and wrote, wrote and wrote.
Has that ever happened to you guys, when something bad happened to you and your parents or at least one never believed you?
Disclaimer: I don't own Ouran High School Host Club
They split up into two different directions, Sebastian and Ciel went to the right while Grell and Yasha were ordered to the left of the cabin. There were two different reasons for splitting up, a) to cover more ground and find clues faster, b) because Ciel wanted to get away from the Shinigami and Rakshasa demon. It was like hell on earth when they were around Ciel and Sebastian.
On the right side of the cabin, Sebastian gestured for Ciel to follow him as the silently walked alongside the wall of the cabin. The butler told Ciel that nobody was inside at the moment, but you could never be too sure when it came to dark magic. They could hide their souls and auras from demons like no tomorrow.
As they made their way slowly to the side door, Ciel's mind went through the information one more time about the case, to make sure he got everything right and wasn't missing an important detail.
Over 15 children kidnapped: different ranges, different appearances, barely anything in common with each other.
The causes of the kidnappings were the doings of a necromancer and lich, names: unknown. But they do have a relationship with Lizzie who attends Ouran.
The necromancer and lich use powerful dark magic to enslave many creatures to do their biddings. This ranges from the simples ghosts to the powerful wraiths who stalk the night.
The lich came out of hiding once that was when the wraith came out too. The necromancer has never shown his face yet.
Nobody knows what happened to the missing children. Barely anybody believes they are still alive. But there has to be hope. Right? Nobody has any evidence if they are dead or alive yet. Those kids could be either.
Personally, Ciel knew one of the missing children, Kaoru Hitachiin, one of the Host Club members. Earlier that day, his twin brother Hikaru Hitachiin came running up to Ciel, nearly punching the boy, yet missed. He believed that is what Ciel's fault that Kaoru is gone. But, it wasn't Ciel's; he would never do that for any good reason.
Yes, Kaoru was part of the group that spied on him when he went on a date with Yasha, but Ciel didn't kidnap students to get revenge. He had different methods to do so. One should never try to double cross Ciel, let's just say the results won't be pretty and that person wouldn't live to see another day.
Ciel was snapped out of his thoughts the moment they quietly walked up the wooden steps up onto the deck, bypassing the chairs and tables decorating the patio. It was so normal here, the chairs overlooking the lake, nobody would ever believe that this was some hideout to two evil dark magic users.
There was something suspicious about this place though. It… it just didn't seem right to Ciel. He couldn't place his finger on it; he could feel it at the tip of his tongue. Something wasn't right…
"Sebastian," Ciel whispered, glancing at his butler who slightly inclined his head to listen. "Watch my back, something doesn't feel right."
The butler nodded his head, hand slowly heading for the doorknob. "Of course, My Lord. You know I will do anything to protect you," Sebastian reminded the young lord.
Before Sebastian could turn the knob, Ciel held up his hand, stopping the butler. He looked at the door with a glare, one of his hands twitching to the gun that was strapped under his jacket. "Let's find any clues and see if we can find the missing kids. I don't want a fight right now."
Sebastian didn't say anything. He just merely nodded his head, pushing open the door. There wasn't a creak to the door, it was new. The floorboards didn't creak either, luckily for Ciel and Sebastian. This whole place was probably recently built.
Letting his hearing travel out, Ciel heard a small chuckle come from one of the other rooms. Dammit, why did Yasha have to be so loud? Shaking his head in annoyance, Ciel and Sebastian traveled throughout the rooms, looking for anything that seemed of interest. In the kitchen –closest to the side door- the only thing out of place was a dirty pizza box sitting on top of the island counter, open, with slices of pepperoni pizza still inside. Cringing in disgust as he caught a whiff of it, Ciel exited the kitchen, into the dining room.
It was small, just a table that could only fit four. It was nice and clean, a couple of crumbs lining the table cloth on top. Nothing seemed out of place here. Ciel and Sebastian headed for the next room, the living room.
But before they could even get close to the living room which was connected to the dining room, Yasha laughed again, this time louder. The weird thing… it didn't sound like Yasha's usual laugh. It was deeper, one that sounded like he enjoyed seeing pain of others. That was not Yasha's laugh, Ciel knew that laugh very well (sadly).
Seconds later –Ciel and Sebastian both paused as they listened for anymore sounds- came a loud roar of a chainsaw, Grell's chainsaw. Ciel froze in place, hearing as the chainsaw ripped through what sounded like cloth. Sharing a side glance with Sebastian, Ciel ran to where the sound was coming from. It was in the back, in what looked like the Master Bedroom.
Pushing past the door, Ciel was greeting with the sight of Grell and Yasha being attacked by a tall man whose smirk on his face resembled how much confidence he had in beating these two. Yasha was on one knee, his right arm wrapped around his stomach tightly, his face curled with pain. A large gash traveled down his left arm- enabling it useless as it hung there limply by his side, blood pouring down his skin.
Grell was having difficulty too, his chainsaw never even getting close to the man. A scowl crossed the reaper's features as he missed another opportunity at taking down the attacker. Ciel stood there in the doorway as the man mumbled something incoherent, his arm waving out in front of him. Seconds later, Grell was thrown against the wall, his back hitting the wood hard as he slid to the ground. His chainsaw was thrown in the other direction, the blades coming to a slow stop.
The man laughed, shaking his head. His brown eyebrows were furrowed as his hand retreated back under his cloak. A piece of his short brown hair fell in front of his clean shaven face. He wasn't a skeleton; he was definitely a human being. This was the necromancer. Does this mean that this was Lizzie's father?
"Oh, who do we have here? Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian Michaelis," the necromancer answered his own question, his head tilting to the side a bit. "I've been waiting for you two to show up."
Ciel glared, keeping his mouth shut as the necromancer continued to talk, "I've heard much about you two. From what? That's really none of your business."
"I didn't ask," Ciel retorted with a hiss as from the corner of his eye he saw Yasha try to stand up. The Rakshasa demon failed, falling to his knees again as he gazed at Ciel, his face full of concern.
"Get away from him, Ciel." Yasha warned, flinching in pain as he removed his right hand. It was covered in his own blood, drops falling to the ground. "You need to run, now!"
The necromancer turned his head, his right hand flying out. He didn't even say a word this time as Yasha was thrown away, his back hitting one of the bed posts. Yasha cried out, and Ciel immediately developed a tiny bit of fear. They were up against a necromancer; he is able to hurt demons. Badly.
"Sebastian, get him," Ciel growled under his breath, scowling angrily at the man.
The man shook his head in disagreement. "I wouldn't Mr. Michaelis. You don't know what I can do to petty demons," he threatened. Sebastian frowned, sliding a knife out of his nice jacket, holding it tightly in his grip.
"That's an order!" Ciel yelled, his eyes flashing as Sebastian's did the same. Sebastian took a step forward, frown still covering his pale face.
"Whatever my Master wishes for me to do, I will do so without any complaint," Sebastian explained to the necromancer, seconds later throwing the knife that was held in his hand at the guy. The necromancer merely held up his right hand, and the blade stopped moving, falling to the ground instead with a loud clatter.
The necromancer tsked and shook his head, dark eyes closing. He muttered under his breath again, but nothing seemed to happen. Ciel took off his eye patch quickly, using both eyes to try and observe everything around him, waiting for the necromancer's attack to pop out of nowhere. But nothing happened.
Muscles relaxing, Ciel smiled in triumph, looking at Sebastian for the demon to finish the dark magic user off. But Sebastian wasn't moving. It was as if he was frozen right where he was standing…
… That bastard!
That's why nothing happened. Ciel scowled, his teeth clenching in fury, nails digging tightly into his palms as he stared at the unmoving Sebastian. Would his butler able to break free? Was he stuck like that? Dammit. Dammit. Dammit. Dammit. What was Ciel supposed to do in a situation like this? He should have found out more about a necromancer's powers, not come in here blind like he did.
"Ciel," Yasha cried out from the other side of the room, "Break his mental concentration!"
Break his mental concentration? His concentration on what? Did Yasha mean break his concentration on trying to keep Sebastian frozen?
The necromancer turned quickly, his left arm moving out of his robes as he roared, "Shut up!" His fingers were splayed out and if Ciel looked closely enough, tiny sparks shot out at the tips of his fingers. Yasha gritted his teeth, his black eyes closing shut.
Ciel growled. Sebastian couldn't move, Grell was still unconscious leaning against the wall and Yasha was in so much pain from the necromancer. And here Ciel was, standing by the door as if he was about to make a mad dash for safety, doing nothing to help out. His mind raced, out of control as he tried to figure out a plan to break the Necromancer's concentration on Sebastian.
He leaned back slightly, causing an object to stick into his lower back. That's it! One of his hands hurriedly reached behind him, grasping the barrel of the pistol. His fingers fumbled widely as he brought it out front, positioning it so the barrel was pointed at the necromancer, his hands wrapped tightly near the trigger. Breathing evenly, Ciel aimed, his index finger pushing on the trigger just enough for the bullet to shoot out at an incredible speed.
The necromancer moved his head to the left, just barely. The bullet whizzed by his head, barely missing the hood of the cloak as it lodged itself on the wall behind the man. His eyes burned with fury as he turned to glare at Ciel. Behind him, the young demon saw Yasha's body relax slightly, his eyes barely opening. His breathing was uneven; his head lolling back to hit the bed as he watched the scene.
From the corner of his eyes, Ciel saw Sebastian move slightly, but he stayed in his position. He was going to surprise the necromancer. The man's hands clenched with rage, hissing, "You little-"
"I wouldn't," Ciel suggested with a cocky smirk, pointing the gun at the ground. There was no point in wasting another bullet –which was ready to fire- when he knew the necromancer could easily dodge it, and possibly send it back at Ciel.
"Why not?" The man snapped. Before another word was said, Sebastian zoomed behind the necromancer, bringing his leg up for a spinning hook kick. The necromancer just barely turned in time to dodge the kick. "Oh I see, that bullet was to break my concentration."
Ciel's smirk turned even wider as he watched his butler attack the necromancer, not giving the man enough time to use any of his spells. The necromancer tried to fight back, but it was useless against the demon. From the looks of it, Sebastian currently had the upper hand.
Over on the side, he turned his attention to the Rakshasa demon. His breathing slowed, one arm hung limply by his side, the other strung over his stomach. His white shirt was stained red, his leather jacket coated with the maroon color. He smiled slightly when his eyes caught hold of Ciel's. "Thanks," he saw the demon mouth. Ciel just nodded in return.
"Enough!" A loud voice boomed. Seconds later Sebastian was sent flying back, landing harshly on the ground near the bed, close to Yasha. It was the necromancer, his body glowing slightly from the power wave he just sent on. Ciel slid into a defensive position, one leg behind the other, hands clenched tightly by his side, gun in one hand.
Sebastian hopped up onto his feet, sliding out a knife again from his jacket. He too stood there, staying on defense at the moment, waiting for an opening to attack. "I am done with this. I will not receive another attack," the necromancer growled.
He lifted up his left hand as he looked menacingly at Yasha. "I knew the whole time, Yasha, that you betrayed me," he confessed with a smile, "I knew alright. You led them here."
Yasha's smile that he gave to Ciel moments ago quickly fell off his face. And for the first time ever, a look of fear replaced it. Ciel's eyes narrowed, he didn't like that look, and it just wasn't Yasha. He was used to the cocky, laughing Yasha. Not this beaten, scared Yasha. "What?" The demon whispered.
"And for that," the necromancer paused, his fingers lifting higher into the air. "You're coming with me."
Everything happened it that one moment. As Ciel shouted at the top of his lungs his butler's name, the older demon threw his silver knife, letting it fly right at the necromancer while the man snapped his fingers, gray smoke appearing much like how the lich disappeared in the store not long ago. It covered up the whole room, and Ciel shut his eyes and mouth to block out the smoke from entering his body.
It quickly cleared and what greeted Ciel was a scene he did not want to see. Grell was slowly stirring, his mind coming too. Sebastian was in the middle of the room where the necromancer once stood. Blood stained the walls and floor, especially the area by the bed. But the worst of all, Yasha was nowhere to be seen.
I was sad at the end of this chapter. Yasha's my favorite OC I've made and I made him be captured by the nameless necromancer. So, whaddya guys think? I really need something to pull my day back up please.
Always and Forevermore: We'll see, we'll see :)
Hell of a Ciel: When I received this two days ago, you made my day, really night when I read it. Thank you thank you thank you thank you and just thank you. I can keep saying thank you, but I don't want to annoy you. Seriously, this is, truthfully, one of my favorite reviews I have EVER received. Thank you once again. And I'm gonna say it one more time, thank you soo much.
