Hey guys
Tyson was revealed to be on the side of the enemy in the last chapter
What will happen now?
Find out right now
"Tyson!" I gasped. There he stood. He looked older than the last time I saw him and he didn't wear his usual grin.
"Hello brother," He snarled.
Third Person POV
Percy stood in complete shock. Tyson stood with his teeth bared, looking angry.
"Tyson how could you," Annabeth screamed, moving to stand next to Percy.
"Don't lecture me about betrayal Annabeth. You hurt Percy so much that he left. He left me alone because of you. And you were to busy being used as a girl toy by my douchebag half-brother that you ignored me. Where is he? I am going to rip him limb from limb like I should have done to begin with," Tyson yelled, his voice growing louder with every word.
"I killed him. Tyson it doesn't have to be like this," Percy said, walking towards his brother.
"Yes it does brother. Everyone must suffer for my loneliness," Tyson said.
"And he has done well with creating suffering. He's put down 20 campers and just as many soldiers if not more," Erebus called, revelling in the horror that crept onto Percy's face at the acts that his brother had committed because of him. Tyson stalked over to him. Percy just stood their, watching his brother approach him.
"You hurt me. Its time to hurt you," Tyson said, thrusting his sword into Percy's heart. Percy's mouth dropped and his body started shaking. Tyson pulled the sword out of his chest and walked back to Erebus's side.
"Percy!" Reyna called across the battlefield. She ran over to him and cradled his head in her hands. He laid there, his heart giving out on him. He tried speaking but he was stuttering almost uncontrollably. Reyna knelt beside him and let her tears flow down her cheeks.
"I (cough) love you Reyna (cough)," He stuttered out. His eyes closed and his heart stopped beating. Reyna wept into his chest. Everyone looked at the scene with sadness. Annabeth stood frozen in sadness while everyone else comforted each other. Tyson stood watching the scene and unseen by everyone except 2 people he let a single tear fall. Those two people stood together in the woods. A man and a woman. Both wore mechanised armour that resembled that worn by Percy.
"They aren't very intelligent are they," The man said. The woman chuckled quietly.
"That's what were counting on. Plus not everyone can be as smart as you Sherlock," The woman replied. The man laughed and caught the woman in his embrace and his helmet retracted revealing Eddie. He had a smile plastered on his face and when the woman's helmet retracted Thalia's lips met his smile. They remained this way for a moment before looking back at the road. Eddie closed his eyes and vanished. Suddenly the 2 Laistrygonian giants weren't there. Thalia looked further into the woods and saw the 2 giants lumbering around looking confused she shot them and they were reduced to ashes. Seconds later the Hyperboreans appeared in the small clearing and they were reduced to a life in the emptiness of the void.
Back on the road one of the hellhounds walked over to Percy and looked at him sadly. Mrs O'Leary called to her friend but he was unresponsive. She whimpered back to Tyson's side where he pet her and gave her a treat. Annabeth recovered from her shock and started walking towards Tyson, drawing her knife. But Reyna stopped her and whispered something in her ear. Annabeth looked at her quizzically but Reyna gave her a look that conveyed that their conversation was over. Reyna sat back down and once again cradled her dead fiancés head in her arms. Erebus looked on and chuckled. But he didn't notice the 4 hellhounds that had gone missing in front of him. Reyna looked at him through cold eyes and stared into the abyss that he called his eyes. He saw pain, sadness but also something else. He saw that she was feeling smug. This confused him as she had nothing to be smug about. Her lover had just been brutally murdered in front of her. He was about to question it when he looked in front of him. His honour guard was gone and only Tyson and Mrs O'Leary remained. He looked around for the other members of the army. As he did, he saw a pair of golden eyes staring at him through the undergrowth.
"Kronos? I thought they killed you," Erebus said, thinking that he was addressing the Titan king.
"I am not my father," a voice from the trees said. Suddenly a volley of arrows erupted from the trees and found their way into the chinks in his armour. His pained scream could be heard in Manhattan. He dropped to his knees, his strength leaving him when suddenly something completely unorthodox happened. Percy stood up. His eyes shone green and he looked like he could run a marathon.
"What is this trickery," Erebus screamed. Percy stood in front of him looking smug. The smug look on Reyna's face now made complete sense to him. He had been fooled.
"You should do better background checks on your soldiers. Tyson joined the Chaos army 999 years ago and has been my first officer since," Percy said smugly. Suddenly the anger and animosity Tyson had displayed before was gone and he reverted to being the same as he had been all those years ago.
"We win Erebus. Time for you to spend eternity in the Void," Percy said, grabbing the sniper rifle off his back. He looked down the sight and fired a grenade into the open mouth of Erebus who was still completely bewildered at how easily he had been deceived. And those turned into his last thoughts. His remains scattered in the wind and eventually even they ceased to exist.
Everyone cheered and celebrated. For the next 24 hours Camp Half-Blood was party central. It was revealed that Tyson often worked as a double agent in wars as his monstrous appearance and superior fighting ability, most of which he had learnt from Percy, meant that he was often recruited into armies and advanced up very quickly. He always used a sword that was enchanted to pass right through and enemy but it sent the person who had been attacked by the blade into a state of hibernation where for a brief time their pulse stopped so it seemed as if they were dead. Tyson had even managed to enchant all of the swords in the army with this enchantment and it meant that no-one had died in the attack. And they had sent a great deal of the Earth's monsters into the Void, from which there was no rebirth. That meant that half-bloods would be safer. Not safe. No half-blood is ever safe. But safer.
Percy's POV
I'm glad that we are going. I honestly thought that I would come on this trip and not want to go back. I would have anyway because desertion is seriously frowned upon in the Chaos army. But I thought that the camp would fill me with that same happy feeling that I used to have when I walked over the hill every summer. But I realised that my true home was with the Chaos army. I had made friends that had stayed with me and I had experienced love that I never would have on Earth. We stood in the amphitheatre for our official send-off. Even the gods were there. Chiron stood in the centre of the amphitheatre. He formally farewelled us and asked the commanders to step forward. As we did, Chaos emerged from a portal behind us.
"Hello campers. I don't mean to steal your speech time but I wanted to know if any of the campers would like to join the soldiers ranks," Chaos asked. Eventually we got Clarisse, Chris, Jason, Piper, Connor and Travis Stoll, Katie and Nico. They all said goodbye to their friends and family and stood near us at the portal. Chaos gave us our 5-minute call as the soldiers took off in their ship. I saw Poseidon, Zeus and Hades talking over where they had been sitting during the send-off. I looked around and saw Aphrodite wishing Piper well. Hermes was embracing Luke and also gave his well wishes to Chris, Connor and Travis. Ares shook Frank and Connor's hand and gave a small hug to Clarisse. Nemesis hugged Ethan. And then Poseidon appeared in front of me.
"Percy. I'm sorry for what I did to you. I pushed you away when you needed me. And for that I am forever sorry. I have nothing that I can offer you that would be something that you wouldn't have but all I ask for is your forgiveness," He said to me.
"I don't forgive easily Poseidon. But I will make an effort if you are willing to make peace," I put my hand out for him to shake but he simply pulled me into a bear hug. I just let him. I looked over at Thalia who was talking to Zeus. Eddie looked over at me and nearly burst out laughing. I gave him a look that told him that I was going to kill him later. Nico was saying farewell to Hades while Bianca and Dante stood a bit further back, saying goodbye. Poseidon finally said goodbye and I heard a bell echo across the valley. The Jackdaw was waiting on us. Poseidon let me go and farewelled me. I walked out of the amphitheatre and walked towards the boat. I couldn't believe how quickly we had stopped this war. It had only been a few days and already the threat was gone. I wondered why it had been so easy. Maybe I had fought in so many wars over the last millennia that even the most difficult war had just become a walk in the park. Maybe I had pulled a Thor and defeated the evil force in the time span of a long weekend. Or maybe the writer of this story is just lazy. All of these could be true and probably are. Regardless I was still taken aback.
"Percy," Annabeth called as she walked out of the amphitheatre. She ran over to me and stood in front of me. For a second she said nothing, just looked at me. But then she shook herself out of her trance
"I really am sorry. I… I missed you and I thought you had left or you were dead. Marty was nice to me when you were away and I liked him. So I started going out with him. I didn't know that my mother had sent you on a quest. I'm so sorry Percy. Please forgive me," She wept, tears flowing down her cheeks.
"I forgive you Annabeth. But we will never be the same again," I said to her.
"I know. And I don't deserve you anyway. You deserve better," She cried. Reyna walked out of the amphitheatre and caught my eye.
"I have all I need in life right now. And I wouldn't be where I am today if you hadn't hurt me. So thank you Annabeth. And goodbye," I said, pulling her in for a hug. She was surprised at first but then settled into the hug. After about 30 seconds I pulled away and walked towards the Jackdaw, not looking back. Reyna walked up beside me and slipped into her hand into mine.
"What was that all about?" She asked. She wasn't jealous, I could tell. She knew that she was the apple of my eye.
"A cry for forgiveness," I replied. She just nodded and we boarded the boat. We went down into the hold and sat in the luxury living room. For about a minute, everyone poured into the room and sat down. Eddies voice sounded over the intercom and we departed from Camp Half Blood. Little did I know that was the last time I would ever see my beloved camp.
I am sad to inform you guys that there is only one chapter of this story remaining.
However I am going away for a few days.
That means that you are going to have to wait at least 3 days for the next chapter.
But hopefully it will be worth the wait for the conclusion to this epic saga.
Talk to you guys soon
