*Sigh*...Demon...how'd you even find this? Seriously I thought you stayed away from FF? Anyways, on to more important things, like the story. This shouldn't have taken this long, but Kaito's cards are spread out through the chapters so much that I had to go back and group them together, just so I could have all of their abilities on hand.
"Reaper Smith Marxa (6000)"
"Lizard Soldier Darwe (6000)."
Kaito took the first turn. "Riding Calamity Thundertail (7000) and I end." He looked up to see Akira's eyes glowing as well. "So, PSYqualia has chosen the both of us, but only one of us can win this." Akira nodded. "Of course I know that. I just wanna knock some sense into you. We're your friends, but you pushed us away. Whatever happened happened. We have to move on." Kaito growled. "Shut up! You don't know what it's like to be me." Akira slammed his hands down on the table. "Then help us to! I draw and ride Apprentice Reaper, Calek (7000). Using Marxa's skill, I soul charge. Calling Reaper Assassin and attacking your vanguard." "I don't guard."
The knife wielder sliced at the backside of the azure clad swordsman. "Damage check. No trigger." "Attacking with Calek." "I don't guard." "Drive check." He pulled Dracul. "No trigger." The small scythe wielder parried the blade of Swornsword off to the side and slashed at the chest. "Damage check. Heal trigger. Power to my vanguard and recovering one." Akira sighed. "I end." He looked his opponent dead in the eye. Kaito...I will find out what's going on. In the stands, Ren spit out his popcorn. Before Aichi and the rest could question where he got it, he yelled out. "PSHYgralia!" He spit out popcorn as he said it. "PSYqualia?" Aichi offered, and Ren nodded and pointed at the two. Misaki gasped as she saw the black light in her son's eyes. "That's not normal PSYqualia..." Kourin said, narrowing her eyes to get a better look.
"Kaito...he's been completely corrupted by PSYqualia." Ren said, finally swallowing his snack. "Like you? But you never had weird black glowing eyes." Asaka said, shivering as she remembered those times. He shook his head. "I was just drunk from power, Kaito has fully given in to its demands, and lost sight of himself." A tear went down Misaki's face as Kaito started his next turn.

"Draw, and ride Calamity Lancer Dragoon (9000). Calling another Thundertail behind him and calling Calamity Defender Dragoon (9000)." The azure dragon and shield warrior rose beside their vanguard. "Calling another Swornsword and attacking with Defender boosted by Swornsword." The berserker (17000) rushed forward, shield sword ready to swing down. "I don't guard." The sword struck through the young reaper's armor. "Damage check. Draw trigger. Power to Calek and drawing one." Kaito smirked. "It's hopeless for you."
Akira stared at him, a blank look in his eyes. "Why? It's only one damage." The Narukami user growled. "Lancer boosted by Thundertail." The knight (16000) lowered his spear and charged. "I don't guard." Kaito smirked. "Drive check. Nothing." The tip went toward his shoulder, making him drop his scythe. "Damage check. No trigger." Akira sighed in relief. Not as bad as I thought, he grinned slightly as he started his own turn.

"Stand and draw. Riding Advanced Reaper Deladar (9000)." The adolescent reaper stood, slamming his scythe blade into the mountainside. "Using his skill, I drop a grade 3 and look for Greylorn." Akira smiled, dropping Minotaur Gladiator and picking up the card in question. "Calling Deathstone Golem (11000) and Reaper Archer Galren (9000). Counter blasting one to soul charge and retiring Defender. Relentless Spirit is coming in behind Deathstone, and I attack!" After dropping one card, the Golem (19000) staggered forward. "I don't guard." A giant fist came down over the Lancer, with no trigger. "Next up, Galren." The archer let the black arrow fly. "Guarding with Calamity Seeker (10000)." The azure rodent jumped in front of the arrow. "Deladar's turn." The reaper rushed forward, scythe ready for a low sweep. "No guard." Akira bit his lip. "Alright, drive check. Zelitorn! Critical Trigger! All effects to Deladar." He sliced at the backside of the leg, causing Lancer to fall to one knee, and slashed upwards form his chest.
"Damage check. First, nothing. Second. Stand trigger. Effects don't matter here." Akira sighed. "I end." Akira then growled. "Kaito...why?! That's all I want to know! Why are you pushing everyone away?!" He half asked, half yelled to his opponent. For a split second, the light in his eyes disappeared. "A-akira...no one else...no one else should die...don't you see? I'm saving them. They're in a place they can't be hurt. My father and Hikaru were the first to have such freedom, but soon everyone will be safe from hurt." Akira's eyes went to their limit. "How is being in a coma safe from harm? What happened, Kaito?" Kaito's eyes went wide, and grabbed his head. He started screaming out in pain, before a wall of smoke came out over the entire field, completely encompassing them. "What?!" Akira wondered out loud, before an image started showing up in the smoke, like a mirror. It was Kaito, in what seemed to be a forest, with a young girl. "What's that on your belt?" She asked, and Kaito picked up his deck. "This? It's my Vanguard deck." She tilted her head to the side. "What's Vanguard?" "Leaf..." Kaito said, the real one, not in the image. "Well, Vanguard is a game you play with cards. It's popular all over the world." Image Kaito said.
"Could you teach me to play one day?" Leaf asked, and he nodded. "Yeah...by the way, how do you know Japanese? Your dad is speaking some other language." Leaf looked down and started twirling her hair. "My mother wasn't from the tribe. She got lost, just like you. Eventually, she met my father, and they fell in love. Before she left, she gave me these." She pulled out a box from under her hammock. She opened it, revealing normal civilized clothes. In the box was a green blouse, white hoodie, rich blue jeans, and a pair of white sandals. "So, your mom wanted you to leave the village?" "As does my father. He only sees a life for me in the city...but I don't want to leave." Image Kaito hesitated, but put his hand on hers. "You could always come back to visit, right? No harm in that."
Leaf looked shocked, but nodded. "Plus, I'll be able to show you how to play." He waved his deck around. "And you could meet my friends. They may seem a bit weird at first, but they're honestly some of the best. I couldn't imagine my life without them, actually." Leaf smiled. "So it's a deal then?" Kaito asked, an eyebrow raised. She laughed. "Yes, a deal." The scene shifted like a draft picked up and swirled the mist. Soon, the image showed Kaito beating the ground with his fist in front of charred remains of a hut. "Oh, God." Akira said, and looked over at Kaito. He looked like he saw a ghost. His face was as white as paper. "Get out of my head...NOW!" He yelled, and and mist stopped showing scenes. "Kaito...I'm...I'm sorry." If Akira was ever sincere about anything he said, it was now. "Shut up! You don't now why they died! It was because of me..." "They didn't take to kindly to foreigners. They burned down their house because they helped you. You feel as if it's your fault."
Kaito just looked surprised. "I'm not just a bumbling idiot, Kaito. At least not to the extent of my dad." A distinct "Hey!" could be heard from the stands. "I can see right through through now. Grief has clouded you, you're not thinking straight! You've been lost in the darkness, and as ironic as it is, me and the Reapers will get you out!" Akira's eyes started glowing again, this time the light blocking out his purple irises entirely. The mist around them disappeared, revealing them to the audience once again. "Akira...I was never lost. In fact, before this I was lost. My eyes were opened. No one is safe. They only way they can be, is to not be able to feel anything. If you can't understand this, I'll have to eliminate you! Stand and draw!"

"Riding the solitary Lord of Destruction, whose chaotic storm will strike everything into dust! Calamity Thundershock Dragon (10000)! Learn the power of lightning, Akira. This kind doesn't strike just once!" The azure dragon came down and shattered the top of the mountain, causing the Reaper faction to dive forward. "Drawing three cards and calling Elder Voltage Mage (9000), discarding one and retiring Deathstone." The golem was struck down into rubble by deep blue lightning. "Thundershock attacks boosted by Thundertail!" "I don't guard." The dragon's claws came crashing down over Deladar, a dark blue shadow looming over him. "Twin drive. First check. Critical trigger. Power to Voltage Mage and critical to Thundershock. Second check. Nothing." Electricity pulsates through the Reaper's body. "Damage check. Heal trigger. Power to Deladar and recovering one. Second check. Draw trigger. Again, power to my vanguard and drawing one." Deladar (19000) stood up once more, looking more pissed than before.
"Voltage Mage attacks with a boost from Swornsword." The old dragoon (22000) lowered his staff. "Guarding with Cackle the Skeleton (5000). The skeletal jokester materialized in front of the reaper, taking the bolt of lightning instead. Kaito grunted. "I end. Quit delaying the inevitable, Akira. We both know how this will turn out." Akira growled. "No! It'll end with you coming back to us! Stand and draw."

"Riding the lord of the damned and demonic. Coat this world in an endless scarlet! Eternal Count, Dracul (9000)!" The immortal emperor stood up, his rapier at the ready. "Using his skill, I move Galren to the soul and superior call 3 units from the drop. Calling Cackle, in front of him Deathstone, and Gravekeeper Dragon (10000)!" Daisuke smirked. "Way to go, dropping that card for Greylorn." Ryo grinned like a madman. "Take 'em down, Akira!" "You can do it, no doubt!" Mai cheered, and Kimiko nodded. "Go for it!" "Retiring Deathstone and calling my avatar, Greylorn (10000)!" The Elite Repaer stood to the right of Dracul, in front of Cackle. "Attacking with Dracul." Ryo frowned. "Why ain't he using his limit break?" Ishida frowned. "He only has three damage. He needs at least four, remember?" Kimiko frowned and stared at Kaito. He can let two attacks through, and he has six cards...it's not over this turn. "I don't guard." "Twin drive. First check. Nothing. The second...no luck." The vampire's blade went right through the scales of the dragon, slashing near its heart. No trigger was found on the damage. "Greylorn, go!" The reaper (16000) ran forward and swiped at the dragon's snout. "Guarding with a Swornsword and Thundertail." The two guardians were hacked into pieces as fast as they appeared. "Gravekeeper!" The dragon ran forward, claws extended. "I don't guard." The claws ripped the flesh of Thundershock's stomach. "Damage check. Draw trigger. Drawing one card."
Akira smirked. "I end. Looks like the tables have turned." Kaito merely laughed. "You think this is over, no. It's not till one of us has six damage. And looks like lightning is about to strike again. Stand and draw."

The card Kaito Drew was coated in dark lightning. "True annihilation incarnate! Not even the fabric of the universe can withstand your almighty storms!" The entire field started to be envoy oped in another mist of darkness. "I ride! Personification of Calamity, Apocalypse Dragonlord (11000)!" Akira's reaction:
"This isn't going to end well, is it?"
The finale of the arc is next chapter! Woohoo! And another one for getting the story out a lot earlier than the last one! Also, is it just me or does Kaito always have a different trump card every time he plays? Also, the next chapter may look different font wise, as I'm (finally) getting a laptop. Halle-fricken-lujah
