Chapter 27: Once in a Blue moon
Hay Lin shivered in the winter air as she walked towards Irma's house. Last night had been dull, but peaceful and she'd gotten more information about what was about to happen today. She could have known that a blue moon would have an effect on her as well, only now did she hate herself for not thinking of it. The last blue moon with Irma had been rather… Strange and she truly didn't want to repeat the happenings of last time. Which would probably happen I she were to help Taranee and Cornelia with babysitting her best friend. It was one of those moments she regretted being Irma's best friend, for if it hadn't been for Irma insisting that Hay Lin would be there as well to proof the others that she could behave herself during a blue moon. And Hay Lin was way too afraid to show that she couldn't behave herself. Will was lucky, going on a date with Angelo who could probably control her. How was she supposed to hide her true nature with a blue moon and Irma who would probably go all out again?
A sigh left her lips, the cold air swirling in front of her. Why had she said yes to help the others with Irma? What was wrong with saying no? Regrets that came too late, she thought sourly as she looked up. The sky was clear and the sun was near setting. Will and Angelo were probably out by now, or at least getting ready. Why couldn't she go with them? Or stay at home, watching movies. Or with Eric… A blush crept up and she shook her head, trying to subdue her wolfish side a little longer. Now was not the time to think of it. It would only make her suspicious and he would start to suspect something and..
With a new shake of her head did those thoughts disappear. They were not needed now and she wasn't planning on talking herself into a depression. She didn't want it and so, it wouldn't happen.
"Hay-Hay!"
She looked up, seeing Irma standing outside her house, next to Taranee and Cornelia. They waved at her and she waved back, picking up the pace and running towards them.
"Hey you guys." She said with a bright smile. "How come you're waiting for me outside?"
A guilty frown appeared on Taranee's face, while Irma and Cornelia formed the same diabolical smirk. This frightened Hay Lin, for when Irma and Cornelia were grinning about the same thing, it usually spelled trouble in ways worse than she usually got into.
"We heard that a certain, loveable redhead is going on a date." Irma started and Hay Lin started to frown.
"With a certain African-American we all know." Cornelia added with a grin.
It was no rocket science to know what they were talking about and Hay Lin started to shake her head, looking indignantly at her friends.
"No!" She said shocked. "You can't mean…. We can't spy on them!"
Irma raised an eyebrow.
"Why not? It's not like we have anything better to do."
"How about keeping you under control?" Hay Lin hissed in return, her cheeks flaring up again. "Or do you want to repeat the events of last time?"
Now it was Irma's turn to blush and she looked away, muttering things under her breath to which Hay Lin didn't pay any attention as she turned to Taranee.
"And you're okay with this?" She added.
Taranee looked at her calmly, pushing her glasses up her nose and slowly nodded.
"I… Just want to be sure everything's alright." She finally said.
Hay Lin squinted her eyes at her fiery friend before they opened wide in realization.
"You still think Angelo's a-?"
"Look Hay, you can try to argue us out of it, but you won't win." Cornelia interrupted, crossing her arms. "We want to be sure and if he turns out to be one, we can jump in to help Will. Besides, if he isn't, not only will he be cleared from any suspicion, but also will we have some amusing spare time."
Hay Lin crossed her arms.
"I don't want in. I can't believe you guy keep suspecting him!" She hissed. "In fact, I'm going to tell them."
With that, she took her cell phone, only for it to fly right out of her and to Cornelia, who shook her head.
"No way. And don't try telepathy, Taranee's got that cut off."
An apologizing look from Taranee was sent her way, but Hay Lin pouted. This was not right. They were supposed to babysit Irma, not stalk Will.
"Come on Hay-Hay!" Irma said, placing an arm around her shoulders. "Better safe and sound, right? And remember the fun we had from all those times we spied on Corny?"
"You did WHAT?"
Hay Lin formed a grin as Irma snickered at the reddening face of Cornelia. She saw a small smile play on Taranee's lips and thought about it. They wouldn't transform tonight, so Angelo, Will and she would be cleared from suspicion once and for all. She was only afraid of how Irma and she would act the moment the moon came up. If they acted too… 'wild' than she would still be suspicious. Not to mention the things that could happen during her moon state. She bit her lip and looked at the girls, who all waited for her answer. A sigh escaped her lips and she nodded.
"Fine. But only until the moon comes up!"
Irma hugged her closer and a new blush started to creep up.
"I knew you would come! Wouldn't want to spend the night without you!"
Hay Lin saw Taranee and Cornelia looking critically at them, before eyeing each other and nodding.
"You two are not getting close to each other." Cornelia said curtly.
Irma reacted by pulling Hay Lin even closer, to which she started to struggle to keep on breathing and trying to wriggle herself free without showing her true strength. Taranee luckily helped her and as she broke free, Irma pouted, though Hay Lin could see this was only playful. While trying to ignore the part of her that wouldn't mind Irma at such close proximity, she nodded at Cornelia's statement. Perhaps it was better if they didn't get to close tonight, for safety reasons.
"Agreed." Taranee muttered before grabbing Irma's arm. "Now let's go."
"I believe they went to the cinema." Cornelia said with a frown, grabbing her phone to check something. "I believe Angelo took them to the 'Protectors of the Universe' movie. Typical thing for him, a tasteless superhero movie."
"Well, no time to waste!" Irma yelled out, pulling Taranee along.
Hay Lin sighed and followed, keeping her fingers crossed and hoping nothing bad would happen tonight. For hers and Irma's sake.
…
"Caleb?"
The name of his lifelong friend caught the attention of the young general and Drake swallowed some bile as the green eyes pinpointed him. A frown had formed on Caleb's brow as the papers, which he'd been reading, were placed on the desk.
"Drake? Is something wrong?"
Drake shook his head, silently wondering what made him so nervous to speak to Caleb. They'd been friends for so long, so a small request wasn't something that couldn't be done, right?
"Not really, I was just wondering something."
Caleb leaned back in his chair, his eyes still placed on Drake. He hadn't offered him to sit, so he remained standing under the unwavering gaze of the young man.
"Which is?"
Drake pulled the board of his tunic a little wider and tried an awkward smile. He really didn't like to ask things like this. But then again, he just had to gain interest of something out of this world.
"I… Was wondering if you could fold me to Earth tonight? I didn't want to bother the Queen, but there is something I wish to do."
Caleb raised an eyebrow and Drake had a feeling he wasn't going to get away with such a vague description.
"Such as?"
A new sigh left his lips and he scratched the back of his head.
"I… Wish to talk to Cassidy. About…. Some things."
He looked at Caleb, awaiting a reaction. The only thing that changed was that his lips curved into a small smile and he nodded.
"Don't worry, I'll get you in an hour."
With that he continued with the work he'd been busy with before Drake's interruption and indicating he could leave. Drake did so, the feeling of relief washing over him. This went better than expected. He now hoped his conversation with Cassidy would be just as smooth.
…
"Aaah. That was fun."
Will stretched a bit, after sitting in the movie theatre for so long. The movie had been fun, with good amounts of both action and humour. She grinned at Angelo, who smiled in return. This whole date thing really brought her back, though somehow, this felt better than it did all those years before.
"So, maestro, what will be doing next?" She asked.
Angelo stroke his chin with his thumb and index finger, as if he was thinking. He took his time and Will nudged him. He grinned at her as she pushed her lip out in an attempt to stop him from teasing. He grabbed her hand and pulled her somewhat closer, causing Will to blush for a moment.
"How about a nice dinner?" He said, before leaning in and whispering the following into her ear.
"I heard that 'Gardiens' has an all-you-can-eat buffet on the spareribs."
The warmth of his breath tickled her ear and Will felt another blush coming up. She scolded herself in her mind, wondering what was wrong with her. Angelo was being his usual self, so why did she keep on blushing?
She blinked her haze away when she saw him looking at her in the hope of a response. She felt a grin form on her lips and nodded. Spareribs seemed delicious right now and, knowing how the two of them had been eating lately, the people at Gardiens would probably be shocked by the amount they would eat.
"I could use some." She said, her grin widening and showing her teeth.
Angelo grinned and held out his arm, for her to take. She rolled her eyes a bit, but secretly she loved his courtesy. So, she accepted and together they walked through Heatherfield, the cold wind blowing around them on a clear day. The sun was already setting and as Will watched the large warm orb sink, she started to wonder how much Angelo or she would change.
She felt a gentle pinch in her arm and she looked up, seeing Angelo smiling at her. She returned it, glad he could read her concern and that he reassured her so easily. He was here, so why did she worry?
[A/N] Here is where M-rated starts. The beginning is mellow and slowly builds up. Just so you know.
…
A sigh of boredom left her lips as Irma followed the rest into following Angelo and Will. The only real cute moment those two had had was when Angelo had leaned in so close to Will. After that they'd been playful, more like friends than potential lovers and it was boring. If she wanted to see that, she would visit the two on any other day. The two went to Gardiens and with the restaurant being too expensive for them, the girls had gone for a simple burger at a nearby snack point. They were now walking back, in the hope of still spotting the two.
A shiver ran over her back, her eyes temporarily switching to Cornelia. She'd asked if they could go home, but Corny had gotten the taste of stalking and was nearly forcing them to stay. Well, she was forced to stay due to the moon and Hay Lin due to her probably snitching them to Angelo and Will. In fact, only Taranee could leave, but she was far too focussed on proving Angelo to be a werewolf to leave.
She placed her hands in her pockets, slowly noticing how the cold of December no longer touched her. Her eyes went up and a smirk played on her lip while a frown settled as well. A strange combination of facial expressions, she knew, but she couldn't help it. She had wanted to sulk and frown at the moon. The stupid satellite was causing her more trouble than she bargained for. Why hadn't they warned her about its effect on her when she took her job as Guardian? Then again, no one had asked her to become a Guardian either.
But the moon wasn't too bad. Every full moon she felt a rush of power which she always enjoyed. And it had proven to come in handy against werewolves. She just wished the moon wouldn't urge her into more primal instincts during a blue moon. Mostly for her friends and family, for they didn't understand it and were most likely to avoid her. And, even though she would never admit it, she did like it. She loved it when her mind started to numb and primal instincts came up. Just one night wherein thinking was unnecessary. Anything that happened was a onetime only, nothing she would elaborate on.
'Even so, you're still bummed out about the last blue moon.' A treacherous voice told her in the back of her head. 'Why not see if this time, things end differently?'
Her grin, which had formed by the sight of the moon, broadened and made her frown disappear. Any attention she'd reserved for Will and Angelo, who were probably still eating, was lost and she slowly inched to Hay Lin. She could see that Hay Lin was shivering, yet she had the strange feeling it wasn't because of the cold. It didn't matter to her, for she took of her coat – the thing was getting hot anyway – and placed it around Hay Lin's shoulders.
"Getting cold, Hay?" She whispered in her friend's ear.
Hay Lin didn't respond as Irma had thought, by jerking away and looking shocked at her. Instead, to her pleasant surprise, did her friend lean into her and gave her a wolfish smirk.
"Not with you with me." Hay Lin replied softly.
Irma felt her grin broaden and she slowly placed a hand on Hay Lin's shoulder. Her other arm was on its way to embrace Hay Lin's stomach, when all of the sudden two pair of hands came between them, followed by their owners. Cornelia looked critically at Irma, while Taranee had Hay Lin under control. The petite Asian's eyes blazed for a second, before she looked away. Irma growled at Cornelia, who didn't want to hear it and took a firm grip on her hand, causing Irma to wince.
"Corny, I'm not really into playing rough." She told the blonde, who blushed a deep shade of red and glowered at her.
"This is not a game, Irma." She hissed annoyed.
Irma leaned into the blonde, placing her head on her shoulder.
"But I like games." She pouted.
In response, Cornelia let go and took a step away, looking shocked and very annoyed. She looked at Taranee, who now too kept an eye on Irma while holding her coat. Hay Lin was shivering again, her arms crossed and trying her best not to look at Irma. A small pout formed on Irma's lips as Taranee handed her her coat.
"Remember what we said?" The fire user asked her. "You and Hay Lin are not to get close to one another."
Irma huffed as she threw her coat over her shoulder. Way to turn down the fun. She muttered annoyed under her breath, but was ignored by the others. Taranee gently took her arm and slowly got her into moving to their destination. Cornelia had taken it upon herself to talk with Hay Lin, who was also avoiding any eye-contact with her by looking at the ground while nodding or sometimes uttering a word in response to Cornelia's words. Taranee had let go of Irma's arm, but was walking in front of her. Irma had seen the small blush on Taranee's face and could easily figure out her friend was afraid she would do something with her. A sigh of discontentment left her. If she didn't want to, there would be no fun. At least Hay seemed to be a bit open.
And so, she walked on, following her friends in what would be for her the longest night of torture ever. Or, it would have been if her eyes hadn't spotted several bright lights lighting up the night sky. She quickly looked at the girls, but none of them were paying particular attention to her. Curiosity getting the better of her, Irma halted and waited for the group to walk on. When she was sure she could walk a different direction without them knowing, she walked towards the lights. As she got closer, taking several back alleys she usually wouldn't, music was picked up by her ears. She could only hear the bass, but it was enough for her to figure out she was walking towards a club. She turned a corner and wasn't disappointed. A small line was standing in front of the club, of which the lights were shining brightly, spelling out the name in neon. Without much thought did she join the queue, starting conversations with those waiting with her. The males were quite flirtatious, which she replied in kind and the women either ignored her or talked animatedly with her. Finally she was allowed in, the man in front not even bothering to ask for her identity. She mentally laughed at how her father would react if he knew where she was right now and how lacks they'd been on checking her age.
Yet that thought was quickly pushed away as bright lights blinded her for a moment and the loud music deafened her ears. Luckily it was only temporarily and as her eyes got used to the frequently changing lights and her ears started to pick up the upbeat tempo of the music, she walked on. The people there were dancing or talking but for the first time in her life, Irma didn't feel like talking at all. Now, all she wanted to do was move.
A new song came up and her hips automatically went along with the rhythm, before she completely lost herself in the music.
...
"That was great!"
"You said it!"
"It would have been better if we weren't kicked out though."
"You couldn't contain yourself."
"You're one to talk!"
"Oh? You're the one who still has sauce on her face!"
At this Will stopped and looked at him, surprise and perhaps a tinge of horror in her eyes. Angelo grinned as her eyes formed a small glare, her lips forming a pout.
"Where?" She asked, placing her hands on her hips.
Angelo leaned forward, as if he were looking for the spot, and gently licked her cheek. He grinned and saw a blush crawl over her cheek. Her eyes widened and he grinned again.
"It's gone now." He said.
Instead of turning her head away and blushing even more, Will's eyes twinkled. The moonlight illuminated her frame, giving her a small glow. A grin formed now on her lips and she raised an eyebrow.
"Are you sure it's gone?"
He grinned and leaned closer, only now he kissed her on the lips, to which she fully responded. She stood on her toes, the cold wind blowing past her yet her presence was warming. He felt himself glow and his arms wrapped around her, slowly becoming unaware of his surroundings. He gently felt her mouth open a bit and a tongue touched his lips. As he wanted to reply, she stopped. Will took a step back and smiled mischievously at him, her tongue now licking her lips. He had accidentally wined softly as she stopped and her grin had widened.
"What is it, boy?" She cooed as if she talked to a dog. "Want another kiss?"
Angelo, grinning along, took a step closer, more incline on taking the kiss than begging for it. Will seemed to have been waiting for it and jumped away from him, looking teasingly at him.
"If you want to, come and get me!" She yelled out, glee resounding in her voice as she suddenly took off, most certainly using her werewolf speed. Angelo whistled after her and immediately started his chase of the redhead. He would show her why exactly his clan was known for their speed.
He saw her take a corner and as he followed, she'd suddenly disappeared. He looked around wildly, her smell was still around the place. A whistle came from up and as he looked, he saw her grinning and waving at him from the rooftop, before running out of sight. He grinned, this was one game of tag he liked to play.
…
Hay Lin sighed as she saw Will and Angelo tease each other while they walked from the restaurant. The moon was up for quite some time and she'd been itching to get away from Taranee and Cornelia, who were both too much of a joy kill for her to be around right now. She looked impatiently at Taranee, who sighed relieved as she spotted the two.
"Well. It seems I was wrong after all." She said with a grin.
"I wasn't." Cornelia said. "Those two are totally hooking up together. I just hope Elle won't be too hurt by it."
"I think she'll manage." Hay Lin blurted out, not meaning to be mean. Her impatience was slowly getting the better of her.
Cornelia threw her a foul glare, before her eyebrows raised and her eyes went from annoyance and anger to surprise and perhaps a bit of dread.
"Oh no…. Where's Irma?"
Hay Lin shrugged. She'd known Irma wasn't here, but she wasn't particularly concerned. In fact, she felt more jealous of her now. She was probably having more fun than Hay Lin was at the moment.
"I thought you would look after her?" Taranee hissed, clearly panicked.
"I thought you would!" Cornelia nearly shrieked.
Hay Lin rolled her eyes. This fussing wasn't getting them anywhere. She shrugged as she watched the two fret, finding some sort of humour in the preposterous things Taranee and Cornelia were suggesting that Irma would be doing now, like getting pregnant. She chuckled softly, but it was enough to gain the attention of the other two.
"This isn't funny Hay Lin." Cornelia hissed. "She isn't even responding to Taranee's telepathy!"
Before Hay Lin could even reply or defend her actions, Taranee had already cut in.
"Perhaps, but talking about it won't bring her back. Let's split up and see if we can find her."
Hay Lin felt herself nod, though she was more thinking of finding a fun place for the night to stay. Eric's place crossed her mind, but that was on the other side of the town. Walking would take too long. She wanted to do something fun right now.
And thus, she wandered the cold, empty streets of Heatherfield, kicking the snow away. Her ears were piqued, trying to hear but the smallest sounds of a party. She was in luck as the tunes to some upbeat song were picked up by her and she made her way through the city, zigzagging through alleys and jumping over a fence just once. She arrived at a flashy club, the club's name spelled out in neon above the entrance. Ropes indicated a queue had been standing in front of the club, but the people had apparently either entered or left. The music being extremely loud, especially for her, seemed now to be inviting. She didn't know why, her ears were numbing down on instinct, but the volume was no problem to her. Her heart beat along the bass and she decided that this was the place where she would spend the night.
She entered, not having any problem with the guards out front, and grinned widely as she saw the mass of moving people. They moved along the beat of the music, bodies rubbing against each other. Laughter sometimes erupted from somewhere and drinks were handed down. The lights flashed on the rhythm of the music and made the whole experience of being in a club even more spectacular. Hay Lin moved forward, into the human masses, and was quickly taken away by the music. The sounds swirled around her, while the people danced besides her. She danced with people she'd never seen, man and woman alike. A few guys even bought her a drink. She'd never had any alcohol, still being too young for it, but tonight she actually didn't care about it and happily accepted. The alcohol made her more daring and her dancing too become more sensual. She started dancing close to boys and girls, sometimes stealing a kiss from a boy before disappearing in the masses without them knowing she was ever there. It made her feel a rush of adrenaline, while the memory of Eric was repressed by the fog the alcohol created. The rush she was feeling, made her curious as well. Curious of the lips of a woman. She didn't react to the impulse the moment she felt it, controlling herself while still playing the boys like a fiddle.
A new song came up and she switched again from dancing partner, though this time she was facing a girl around her age. The lights were wild and made it impossible for her to see the face of her partner, but Hay Lin could read enough from the body language. Her dance partner was inviting her to dance on the music in a most sensual way and she accepted, her drunk and lunatic mind gladly making her give her all. Their dance was close, closer than she'd danced before, and at moments they just touched. Their arms swung around them, as if they were mentally debating if they should or should not pull their partner closer and both got carried away by the music. The song changed halfway to a new one, but it didn't stop them. The song seemed to have them in its spell and slowly the two were pulled together. Hay Lin let herself slow down, taking her partner with her and in a moment of adrenaline, she pulled the girl towards her and kissed her on the lips. The girl didn't move away, instead she actually answered the kiss and the two stood there. The music blasted around them, but they remained in place, their lips touching and, on a whim, Hay Lin pushed further. Her tongue slipped past her lips and found that her partner was quick to make an opening as well. Their tongues played for just a little while when they pulled back. It was now that Hay Lin realized the lighting had changed and that her partner was none other than the one she was supposed to find, Irma. She started laughing, realizing who she'd been kissing and winked playfully at her friend, who looked confused at Hay Lin. Irma seemed to be at a loss for words and Hay Lin couldn't help but laugh. Of course Irma would be the one she would kiss, who else? She swung her arms around her friend's neck and looked at her. Her blue eyes reflected both humour as confusion, making Hay Lin faintly believe her friend was fighting the moon's influence right now. She grinned and took Irma's chin. She shouldn't be fighting the moon. Its powers were amazing and it was there to lead them. As to prove it, she leaned in for another kiss. Irma's soft lips sent a shiver through her body and she grinned as Irma once again reacted. No one had told her a blue moon was so much fun.
…
Drake shivered in the cold winter air. While Earth was pleasantly warm in the summer, its winter's were like the ones in Metamoor. Cold and unforgiving. He pulled his shawl closer, silently cursing about the Earth clothing the Queen had arranged for him. If the people of Earth knew their winter's were so cold, then why didn't they have warmer clothing?
"Come on, she lives nearby."
Drake shook off the cold and followed Caleb, truly glad his friend wanted to take him to Cassidy. Maybe tonight he would find out what she really felt for him, instead of the small games she played with him whenever she would visit Metamoor. He was especially glad Caleb knew why he wanted to go to Earth. The idea of explaining himself had felt silly, something he was sure his friend would understand.
Caleb came to a sudden halt and Drake stopped next to him. He pointed at a house, which had a small garden in front as Drake had come to understand.
"That's her place." Caleb said. "You just go and ring the bell."
Drake looked bewildered at him. Caleb had told him about the bell that alarmed people when someone wanted to enter their house, but the explanation to how it worked had been vague. Caleb saw him looking and smiled, placing a hand on his shoulder and pulled him along. In all honesty, Drake preferred to be alone when talking to Cassidy, but on this strange world with metal carriages and hard black ground, he was reassured with Caleb's presence.
So he followed him and watched him press the button on the side of the door. Drake half-expected the door to open on its own, which it didn't to his disappointment. Yet he felt a blush come up when the door opened revealing the one he wanted to speak. Yet his blush was not because of his question for her, but how she appeared at the door. Cassidy looked at them and Drake couldn't help but let his eyes wander from her face down her body, for Cassidy was only wearing her slip. A red shawl fell over her shoulders, covering her breasts, but to both his dislike and preference, it was far too thin and still gave way to her nipples. Goosebumps were covering her skin and Drake started to feel warmer than he should in this weather.
"Hey boys." She greeted them.
Her voice was sultry and she leaned against the side of the door, looking at the two of them with what Drake would almost describe as lust.
"Hey…. Cassidy."
Drake realised Caleb was still here and he looked at him, finding he was looking with a lot of interest at the frozen garden instead of the girl in front of them. He appreciated Caleb's discreteness and felt a surge of jealousy when Cassidy took his chin and forced him to look at her.
"Don't like what you see?" She whispered at him.
Drake, feeling even more jealous than before, was ready to defend his love for the girl, when Caleb freed himself and looked away again.
"I… I have a girlfriend. And… What's wrong with you anyway? You usually don't act like this!"
It snapped Drake also back to perspective, but he found that Cassidy had already chosen to ignore Caleb as she looked him up and down.
"What your girl doesn't know, won't hurt her. Not that it matters, I bet that Drake would outdo you anyway."
Pride coursed through him for just a spare moment, though a deep blush appeared on his cheeks as Cassidy's hands started to twirl on his chest. He looked down at her and her lips slowly moved to his, to which Drake unconsciously replied.
"HOLD IT!"
Drake jumped back, detaching him from Cassidy and his head turned around quickly. Behind them came two old Asian women running at them. He recognized them as the grandmother of the Air Guardian and her Altermere. One of them rushed past them, pushing a complaining Cassidy inside before the door was slammed shut. The other stood outside, panting and looking at the two of them. Drake felt angered and confused and was ready to shout at the old lady when she held up her hand.
"I need to explain something to you two." She said. "Come along."
…
[A/N] Here comes the real M rated stuff.
Will breathed a laugh, howling as she'd jumped off the last roof. The fall was a lot more than she'd anticipated, but dread never filled her. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins and with ease she landed in the snow, never losing momentum and dashing off to the apartment building where she lived. She heard Angelo's howl and she breathed a laugh, already entering the building. He was a fast one, she gave him that. She ran up the stairs, jumping rather than walking them up and arrived at her door. She fumbled with the keys, her ears picking up Angelo's footsteps and as she managed to open the door, she saw him appear in the hall. She shrieked a laugh as he rushed at her, and ran into the living room. She heard the door close behind her before Angelo tackled her. They struggled a bit, kicking down a table in the process until he finally pinned her down to the ground.
"Got ya." He growled in her ear, his warm breath tickling her skin.
She grinned and raised an eyebrow, challenging him.
"Oh yeah?" She asked, trying to overpower him.
She was interrupted by his lips brushing hers, before pulling her into a full kiss. She stopped her struggle and let him kiss her, feeling his body on hers. His warmth was calming and accelerating at the same time. She felt his heart beat furiously and noticed how her own heart adjusted at that rhythm. Angelo slowly lowered himself on her, closing the distance between them and deepening his kiss in the process. Will responded, letting his tongue enter her mouth and letting it play with hers. Their kiss came at a halt, wherein they looked at each other in a tender moment. Brown looked into brown, their eyes glistening in the darkness on the chamber. The moon light shone in from the window and their breathing seemed to echo through the empty room. Slowly, Angelo's lips found her again. They seemed more hungry than before and Will felt a sensation befall her forcing her to reply just as hungrily to his kisses. She felt how his hands moved from her shoulders to her breasts. His hands, large and firm, gently massaged them. A moan escaped Will's mouth, which he muffled with yet another kiss. He kept on massaging, his hands moving slowly and carefully. Finding clothing to become an obstacle, he started to pull off her sweater - her jacket had been lost in the fight - and she did the same to his. He removed her bra and as he once again continued the massage, Will moaned again. The warmth of his hands enveloping her breasts felt amazing. Her own hands had moved to his muscled back, trying to pull him closer to her. Their kisses continued when Angelo slowly left her mouth and trailed her cheek. She let him, her hands leaving his back as he went lower. He kissed her breath, releasing yet another moan from her and Will gasped when she felt his teeth around her nipple, nibbling it softly. She closed her eyes, feeling more and more aroused as he continued. One of his hands was still massaging the other breast while the other slowly trailed down to her pants. She bucked as she felt his fingers pass her stomach and he impatiently ripped the button from her pants. His fingers slipped down her slip and she shuddered in delight as she felt his fingers caressing her. She moaned, bucking again as to indicate to him to move his fingers further, inwards, yet he continued to only caress the outside. His lips had left her nipple and were back at her lips, while she clumsily undid his pants. However, she shivered when his fingers moved and caressed her again. A moan left her lips and her breathing became heavier. She bucked again, but Angelo retreated and took off her pants and underwear without much resistance. Before Will could say or do anything, he was kissing her again, his left hand massaging her breast while his right was caressing her again. She groaned a bit in annoyance and felt him smile. A gasp left her lips when his fingers suddenly entered. Her breathing became heavier as she closed her eyes, moving along to the movement of his fingers. She moaned more as he moved his fingers, no longer paying attention to his kisses. A moan of disappointment left her when he pulled his fingers out. She looked at him, finding he'd stopped kissing her and smiling at her.
"Not yet." He breathed. "Not yet."
He then proceeded to kiss her again, only this time he went lower and lower, passing her breasts and stomach. When he reached her lower areas, she shivered as he kissed her there and gasped loudly when his tongue moved passed the lips. It moved swiftly and it caused her to buck again, her breathing becoming more and more erratic. Her mind was starting to numb and she was ready to give in when Angelo stopped again. A frustrated moan left her lips and she saw Angelo looking at her from the dark. She was done playing games and as she crawled up, she pushed him down, ripping away his underwear. It was unnecessary at the moment anyway.
...
[A/N] The end of the M rated part. I warned you in advance!
Irma stood at the bar, holding a glass of beer. She was no supporter of alcohol by anyway, but as a few guys had offered it to her throughout the night, this one included, she wouldn't say no. Especially not now that the realization was dawning on her that she'd kissed Hay Lin. Twice. She was unsure how to feel, seeing how a part of her only shrugged it off as her being one of many she'd kissed tonight. She herself had decided to not think too long about it, afraid it would ruin her evening. Hay Lin hadn't seemed to give it much thought as she'd gone off dancing again after their second kiss. It was just the spur of the moment and with a grim nod, Irma took a sip.
"That was pretty hot, Lair."
Her eyes squinted to a glare and she turned around, facing the only one who's voice was so obnoxious as this one.
"Dunn." She growled, glaring at the lanky teenager.
Uriah was dressed in a black jacket and white shirt with his usual jeans. His pimples, which had been his trade-mark along his greasy red hair, had disappeared and left his face smooth. A small goatee was starting to grow, but wasn't much more than stubble at the moment. He grinned at her and she scowled.
"Didn't know you had it in ya." He said, nodding at the crowd.
She was sure he was talking about Hay Lin and the kiss they'd shared. Yet she decided not to be embarrassed. Instead she grinned and flicked her hair, much like Cornelia would do.
"Well, I had to find a better kisser, after all those disappointing men." She replied airily.
"If I didn't know better I would say you were a sl…"
Even though the word was blurred out by the music, she knew what he wanted to say. She glared again and crossed her arms, placing her beer on the bar.
"At least I can say I've got some experience. You've only kissed your mom!" She replied coldly.
This got to him and he glared at her.
"I've got more experience than you'll know!" He replied sourly.
"Kurt and Clubber don't count." She jested. "Or grandmothers."
She smiled smugly, seeing she'd defeated him in their usual banter and she wanted to take another sip of her drink. She reached out for the glass, when suddenly Uriah grabbed her arm.
"Hey!" She shouted indignantly. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Saving you from getting raped."
His tone had been dark and serious, something she wasn't used from him. Her eyes followed his hand as it went to her drink and how his fingers went into the drink, pulling out a pill she hadn't seen before. Her eyes widened as her foggy brain told her of the warnings her father always gave her about rape drugs in clubs. She looked surprised at Uriah, who flicked the pill to someone behind her. She turned to find a rather good looking guy, looking pissed at Uriah.
"What's your deal, man?" He yelled at him.
"What's yours?" Uriah yelled back. "What did you think? Trying to feed this girl a rape drug?"
Irma looked on, watching in surprise how Uriah stood up for her and even argued the culprit. It was their luck the barman had heard them and that he'd called security, escorting the guy out. Uriah huffed again as the barman took away Irma's glass and gave her a new one, though this one was filled with cola, she noticed. Instead of complaining about her drink, she looked at Uriah who no longer looked at her but glared at the entrance.
"Did you create a hero complex or what?" She asked him, grinning as his head jerked back to her. "First Halloween, now this."
"It's not my fault you can't look out for yourself." He answered in a low growl.
Irma nearly choked on her cola and coughed loudly, before glaring at him.
"Excuse me?" She said. "I can fend perfectly for myself! You were just lucky to find me in those two situations."
"Of course." He replied sarcastically.
Irma glared, emptied her glass and took a step closer to Uriah. She looked up at him and poked his chest, making him look down on her.
"Listen Dunn, I can take care of myself. I don't need help, especially not from you." She growled at him.
Uriah let his forehead touch Irma's, probably a way to scare her, she thought. She wasn't planning on having him let his way and remained standing, looking stubbornly at him. At this close proximity she noticed the smaller things about him. How his eyebrows curved nicely around his eyes, how his blue eyes shone in the lights of the club, how his freckles seemed lesser than she remembered and how the stubbles on his chin seemed more than just an unshaven patch. A blush crept on her cheeks without her realizing it as she continued her glare wars with Uriah.
"Funny how you always seem to end up in such situations when I'm around, Lair." He replied smugly. "As if you want me to save you."
Irma breathed a laugh.
"Want you to save me?" She echoed. "Don't be ridiculous."
"Is it?"
"Yeah."
…
Hay Lin looked around, still hyped on the music and the alcohol. A stray thought made her wonder where Irma was and she looked around, hoping to find her. She grinned, perhaps a bit stupidly, when she found her friend. She was standing with Uriah, their foreheads touching. Her grin widened to almost inhuman proportions when she saw the distance between their lips close completely in a kiss. Tonight really was a whacked up night.
…
Sunlight broke through the curtains, hitting the face of the redheaded habitant of the apartment. Will groaned as the light hit her, forcing her to wake up. She turned around, trying to hide her from the light, when she realized she was lacking her usual pillow or mattress. She slowly pried her eyes open and looked at Angelo's naked form, laying next to her under a blanket with the same pained expression she'd been wearing before. The memories of last night returned and a blush crept over her face. She'd never thought it would have gone that far! Angelo opened his eyes and she saw a blush form on his face as he seemed to realize the same thing.
"Hey." He croaked, sounding a bit unsure.
Will first wanted to yell at him for making her feel unconcerned about last night. For making her believe nothing bad would happen. But slowly a smile formed as she realized nothing bad did happen. In fact, she was sure she'd never enjoyed a night as much as last night. So, instead of yelling at him, she pulled herself closer to him and hugged him.
"Good morning." She replied.
She felt his warm breath as he chuckled softly.
"I'm not in trouble?" He asked.
Will buried her head in his chest.
"Not really." She told him.
"You know, we did it safe."
"I know."
…
Irma moaned loudly as only a speck of sunlight hit her eyes. A full blown headache hit her hard and she groaned in pain. It was to be expected after drinking alcohol. She cursed under her breath, while trying to hide from the light. She needed her sleep more than ever now and really didn't want to get up. This was by far the worst blue moon she'd ever experienced.
A groan left her lips when her memories were returning. The first thing she remembered, something she wished she'd never done, was kissing Uriah. She wondered what the heck was wrong with her by kissing that punk and groggily her hand went to her mouth, trying to scrub any leftover Dunn from her lips. She truly hoped no one from school had seen it. But even so, she couldn't deny that Uriah had been a pretty good kisser, for someone with no experience.
Her phone rang, indicating a text had arrived. The sharp sound made her head pound even louder and she slowly reached out for the device. She cursed softly when the light of the phone hit her eyes, but she kept it on as she saw she had a text from Hay Lin.
'Ha! I saw you kiss Uriah!' was the message.
Irma groaned loudly, not willing to believe Hay Lin had seen it. Hay Lin brought another memory of last night back to her and Irma groaned softly. Of course that happened as well. Her phone rang again and she, despite the increasing headache, checked it again. It was once again a text from Hay Lin.
'OMG! WE KISSED!'
Even before those words could form a complete meaning in her mind, her phone buzzed for a third time, with yet another text from Hay Lin.
'TWICE! OMG!'
Despite having the same feeling of shock and surprise, a laugh left her lips. This was somehow more amusing than it was embarrassing and as she put her phone on silent and away, she looked at her ceiling. Once her headache died down she would talk to Hay Lin about last night, hoping to find forgiveness. And an explanation.
…
Uriah groggily awakened. Blue moons always gave him the feeling of a hangover, even though he hadn't drunk a drop of alcohol last night. He scratched his head, his memories slowly returning. His parents had gone out, like they always did with the blue moon and a babysitter was hired for Jeremy, who'd slept through it. He'd gone to the club and there…
A grin formed on his face as he remembered. He'd kissed Lair. And she wasn't a bad kisser at all. He chuckled, knowing she would probably be disgusted. Somewhere, that thought nagged him, but now he only took pleasure from it and grinned smugly at the ceiling. He'd kissed Lair.
…
Cassidy was sitting in her living room, fretting of what was to come. The memories of last night had returned in the morning and she could have kicked herself. Not only had she been dressed as the slut of the year, she also tried to seduce Drake and Caleb. Seducing Drake wasn't something she minded, but Caleb was another story. Not only wasn't she interested in him, he also had a girlfriend! And Cornelia would most certainly whoop her ass if she knew. It also gave off the wrong impression on Drake. She really liked the guy and were it not for them being, literally, worlds apart, she would have liked to date him for a while.
And even if Mira had told him and Caleb the whole story of why she acted this way it didn't mean she was in the clear. Drake would probably hate her now. Yet, here she was, waiting and hoping he would ring again.
The bell went and Cassidy's heart jumped. She raced to the door, making sure she was properly dressed this time, and opened it. She saw Drake standing there, alone this time, and she wondered if Caleb had been too afraid to come.
"Hey Cassidy." Drake greeted with a small bow of his head.
"Listen Drake. I can explain everything!"
Drake chuckled, a sound she liked to hear.
"Don't worry. Yan Lin explained everything."
"You're not mad?"
"No. Just a little sad you didn't just flirt with me."
She grinned at him, liking his humour and the way he accepted her shortcomings so easily. She leaned against the door opening, much like she did last night and winked at him.
"So you did like what you saw." She said.
"Maybe." He replied smugly.
"Maybe?"
"Well, we could test if I really liked what I saw. By you, going with me on a… What was the word again? Date?"
She chuckled as he clumsily revealed a bouquet of Metamoorian flowers. He blushed a bit, but she accepted them, picking her coat from the hanger near the door and putting it on. The flowers she left on the table, knowing that the species would live on for long enough without water for her to go on a date.
"I'd be delighted." She said as she closed the door behind her.
"I'm glad you are."
[A/N] End of the chapter! I thought it was a fun one and quite challenging to write as well! Tell me your thoughts in a review and until next full moon!
