Shoichi Irie could not help but allowed a smirk to stretch across his face, despite the fact that there were a bunch of annoying audience in his class. The ballet class that Tsuna had signed up for was for beginners, yet ballet was not easy, from stamina, form, technique to expressions, a lot was required from the students.
The new 'students' that had joined the other day was not able to take it and decided to drop out of the class, refund not included. Recalling the low groans and complains of those 'students', Irie's smirk grow wider. Don't get him wrong, he was an instructor full of patience, and was willing to go to a length to help his students grow. There was nothing wrong with complaining or even having muscle pains after the first few sessions of ballet. It was completely normal - everyone had to start somewhere.
Mukuro and Xanxus were not interested in trying out ballet in the first place, they did not want to continue those tiring stretching and bends. Mukuro was more than happy to be sitting at the side, his trusty camera in his hand, as he lazily watched the brunette clumsily interact with his 'angel'. Of course, that did not stop him from taking a few sneak shots of Tsuna here and there.
Xanxus on the other hand, was impatient and irritated the whole time, the classic music getting to his nerves, the painful stretches annoying him. He however refused to leave the studio…..for reasons only he knew. The whole time through the session he kept growling under his breathe, clearly annoyed. Along with Gokudera, he was the noisiest and loudest in the class. In the end, they were asked 'nicely' by Irie, through Kyoko's mouth, to sit at the side, something which they gladly did and struck with every single class.
Thus, out of the five, only Yamamoto and Simon continued. They were unexpectedly easy-going and had a lot of potential, much to Shouchi's surprise and relief. Finally some students he could work with and teach. The charisma aspect seemed to come easily to them and they had the stamina needed, which the dance instructor believed to be both experience and talent combined.
Tsuna was very hardworking, listening well to every advice he was given, his line and form were not bad too, yet there was a main flaw Irie felt the brunette needed to work on. The brown-eyed man's facial expression was too stiff, too blank at times. Well, it would take slightly more time, but the dance instructor believed that with long term practice, the brunette would improve by leaps and bounds. These students had just started after all.
However, when facing those 'students' who were obviously uninterested to even try…Irie scoffed, looks like he had much less patience than he thought. It was the fourth week of the class, and out of the few famous 'students' he had, only two remained as official students in his class, coming on time every single session. As for the rest…Irie glared at the noisy bunch who were disturbing the class.
"Mr Mukuro, Mr Gokudera and Mr Xanxus, could I kindly ask you to leave the studio? You are interrupting my class." Irie gritted out, his irritation rising when the three who were sitting by the piano blandly ignored his question.
Yes, they were no longer students, but these people totally ignored his requests to step out of the studio, insisting that they just wanted to observe the class. Not just one class, but every single lesson, these three would just stroll in and plant themselves at one corner.
Worse, Irie using all the methods he knew of, could not get them out of the studio at all.
He first tried asking nicely, even giving reasons to why they could not 'observe', the class but that smooth-talker Mukuro could easily rebut every single objection Irie had. In the area of eloquence, Irie had to admit defeat.
He then tried using his authority as the head of the class, but they just brushed him off. He hate to admit, but in terms of charisma, perhaps is paled in comparison to these popular men.
Finally, he tried threatening, stating that he would call the guards up to chase them out. However, the moment he met the cold eyes of Xanxus, Irie's mind just went blank as a cold shiver went down his spine. Alright, in terms of body build and strength, perhaps it was not a wise idea to go straight in head to head with them…
Thus the 'audience' in the studio became permanent.
"Come on, you only have five students in this class, the more the merrier." Mukuro grinned, his grinned widened when the ballet instructor glared hard at him.
Whose fault do you think it was?
Most of the students in this newly opened class were females, and with these well-known and good-looking people in this class, no one could concentrate at all! Not paying attention to the teacher was not a big deal, but when the students were too distracted to concentrate, they started to bump into each other, sometimes even slipping and falling, obtaining bruises or worse, nose bleeding out of nowhere. Thus, over the short period of four weeks, many students while reluctant, decided to transfer to another beginner class at a different time, of course under another instructor.
Leaving his newly opened class with only five official students and three unauthorized men as 'audience'.
Sighing once again, Irie pushed up his glasses, ready to concentrate on his students. He was not going to spend too much effort arguing with the three men and wasting his other students' precious time.
"Alright class, good work, that's it for today!" Irie clapped his hands and called out when the last of the music faded into the background.
"Phew, it's a good workout today! Ballet is indeed tougher than I thought!" Yamamoto grinned as he wiped his sweat with a blue towel.
"Indeed, I think it would be a good investment to continue." Simon laughed lightly, casually handing a bottle of water to Tsuna, who smiled his thanks. Simon and his businessman mind set…
"Tsuna-san, here's a towel and some water for you!" Gokudera pushed a bottle and a towel into Tsuna's hands, an expectant look on his face.
"Thanks, Gokudera." Tsuna smiled, still a little unused to Gokudera's enthusiasm and energy.
As Irie waved his other students goodbye, the room was soon left with Tsuna and his friends, along with the instructor and his assistant, Kyoko.
Glancing shyly at the big-eyed assistant from behind his towel, Tsuna wondered if Irie would allow him to stay and watch Kyoko practice her dance. As he turned his brown orbs to the red-haired instructor, as if knowing his thoughts, Irie turned to Tsuna and smiled brightly.
"Tsuna, you are welcomed to observe Kyoko's practice! I'm sure you will learn a lot from watching her." The dance teacher warmly invited the brunette. Other the other hand, when he turned to the other men in the studio, he scrunched his face and snapped at them.
"The rest of you, off you go, don't disturb Kyoko's practice for her upcoming competition!"
"It's fine, they are welcome to come watch, as long as they don't mind my dancing!" Kyoko however shook her head sheepishly, giving Irie an apological look when the instructor sighed loudly.
Tsuna furiously nodded his head to express his support and quickly take his seat at the front of the mirror. The others exchanged a look and too hurried to Tsuna's side, a smirk on their faces. Of course they were going to stay! No way were they going to allow Tsuna to be alone in the studio with the dance assistant…and Irie. Few hours into the first lesson, they could already tell who Tsuna's 'angel' was. The brown-haired designer was way too cautious and shy around that dance assistant. Even after all these lessons, there were not much interaction between the brunette and Kyoko, much less progression, much to their amusement.
While they were not going to help Tsuna, they were not going to hinder the designer too, for now that is. Right now what they were most interested was to observe the SkyZ boss's interactions and his reactions, which were much more amusing than watching a movie.
Shouchi Irie started the music when Kyoko was ready in her starting pose, the soft music filling the whole studio. As Kyoko started lifting up her arms, Tsuna could hear soft mumblings, which decided not to pay attention to, however when he heard the snickering and scoffs behind him grew loudly, him frowned and stood up abruptly, startling everyone in the room. Kyoko looked at the brunette, confused.
"I'm sorry, Instructor Irie could you pause the music? I apologise Ms Kyoko for interrupting you, please give me a minute." The brunette knew it was rather impolite of him to stop the ballerina suddenly, but there was something that he had to settle.
Unaffected by Irie and Kyoko's puzzled looks, Tsuna stood before his friends, his eyes glowing orange under the lights. As he stared coolly at his friends, the young man made sure he caught everyone's attention before he continued.
All he said was one sentence.
"I hope we can all give Ms Kyoko the stage she deserves, even if this is just a practice."
Then he sat down, as if nothing happened.
He did not mention anything about what the rest did, he did not scold or blame anyone, yet everyone understood what he wanted, what he meant.
There were no objections, no rebuts, all of them silent after they held Tsuna's gaze, looking away after a few seconds.
Mukuro was the first to break the silence. The photographer had to resist the urge to snap a photo of the designer's calm face, before he turned to Kyoko and nodded in apology, the rest nodding along.
"Our apologies, Ms Kyoko, if you would allow us to continue staying here, we would really be glad."
Kyoko smiled brightly and nodded. "Of course, all of you are more than welcome! Thank you Tsuna-kun!"
"No…no problem!" Tsuna hugged his knees and avoided the ballerina's eyes, clearly feeling a little shy. As the atmosphere lightened up, Irie let out a breath he did not know he was holding and replayed the music.
The practice after that went super smoothly, something that both shocked and scared Irie. At the back of the dance instructor's mind, something told him that Tsuna was much more than what his appearance showed.
The nice and docile man that Irie thought he knew was definitely the most dangerous out of the pack.
Birds of the same feather…really flock together after all.
Right?
OMAKE
Kyoko: Tsuna-kun is such a nice and harmless person!
Irie: *sweatdrops* Nice indeed...I wouldn't say his completely harmless though. *dry laugh*
Kyoko: During my practice session, even though he is a shy man, he stood up and talked to the rest of the students!
Irie: I was surprised too! *nods thoughtfully*
Kyoko: He seemed to be scared of them, but Tsuna-kun is so brave to become friends with the others!
Irie: *mumbles* I think they were already friends...and I think that Tsuna is the scariest of them all.
Kyoko: I'm so proud of him!
Irie: *wipes his cold sweat* Good for you...
Oki: Hope yall enjoyed it~
