Chapter 28
The J Team, the demon lords, and Daolon Wong, had managed to actually see some of the city. Of course not all of them had gone to the same places, but it was interesting to see how much of the places in Hell were so similar to ones that they'd find on earth.
"I never thought that I'd be so happy to see so many boutiques in one area," Viper stated.
"You didn't steal anything did you?" Uncle asked suspiciously.
"I told you all a million times ten years ago, I'm a FORMER thief," Viper confirmed.
"Like you wouldn't want to steal any of that clothing though?" A familiar voice questioned.
The J team turned around to see that Daolon Wong and the demon sorcerers.
"Oh, it's all of you," Viper stated.
"There are many interesting things in the city area that look like they are worth stealing," Tso Lan declared.
"Don't even think about stealing anything around here foolish demons!" Uncle yelled.
"Don't sound so stupid old man," Po Kong roared. "We are smart enough to know not to mess with the territory of the Dark King."
"Good because that is honestly one of the dumbest things you can do around here," Another familiar voice declared.
Everyone turned to see the Enforcers. Seriously, where the hell do these guys keep disappearing to?
"Never thought we'd see you all again," Tohru said.
"Why, it's not like we were dead," Chow replied.
"You fools do disappear quite often," Shendu declared. "What were we supposed to think?"
"Where did you all go to this time?" Viper asked.
"We were merely exploring more of the military around some of the other cities were like," Hak Foo declared.
"Why is it that you four foolish mortals are allowed to walk about Hell as you please?" Hsi Wu questioned.
"Well, unlike you, the princess actually likes us," Ratso stated.
"Why would she like you idiots?" Drago asked.
"Probably because we don't throw unwanted personal questions in her face," Chow declared.
"We do not do that, only the foolish humans do," Bai Tza stated.
"Would you stop calling us foolish already?" Viper complained. "It's getting old."
"I see that you four have not changed outfits either since we've been here," El Toro said looking at the Enforcers outfits.
"The little girl lets us roam around," Hak Foo declared. "She does not give us money to do so though, we go about on our own free will."
"Yeah, we ain't about to lose that privilege by stealing," Ratso added.
"I'm starting to think maybe we should talk to the Devil about that," Jackie stated.
"Yeah, I don't think that's going to be very easy though Jackie," Viper replied.
"It's still worth a try," Jackie replied.
"Tell us seƱores, what are the other cities like?" El Toro asked.
"Almost exactly the same as any city back on earth," Chow replied.
"A lot of the places we found looked exactly like places we used to go to in San Francisco," Finn stated.
"Are there a lot more bars and casinos though?" Viper questioned.
"Surprisingly no, people here are seemed a lot less greedy than people on earth," Ratso stated.
"That is rather ironic," Tohru stated.
'Yeah, that's what we thought at first," Chow replied.
"Did anything seem different?" Jackie asked.
"Yes actually, people around here are allowed to carry weapons in public," Hak Foo declared.
"They are?" El Toro asked.
"Yeah, but you can only carry one unconcealed weapon in public," Finn stated. "If you own more than one weapon you need some kind of permit to keep them."
"The only people allowed to carry around more than one weapon are the police, the military, and the reapers," Ratso added.
"How do they know if you're really one of those three things?" Uncle questioned.
"There are badges that you have to carry around," Hak Foo replied. "The authorities carry these strange devices that can detect whether or not badges are authentic."
"So the laws here are almost as strict as the ones back on earth," Jackie stated.
"Well, this is Hell," Viper replied.
"Yes, even a place like this can only take so much chaos," Daolon Wong declared.
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
It was Sunday, and just as they always did now, Jade and the Devil were on their way to Zyon's grave. Of course, people still did talk about it since many of them still thought very badly about Zyon, but no one would dare speak a word about it to the Devil's daughter, let alone the Devil himself. Mamoru was also accompanying them this time, even though Jade told him repeatedly that he did not need to go with them if he didn't want to.
"Honestly Jade, even if he does not wish to accompany us he is still your bodyguard," the Devil confirmed.
"I know, but I'm with you," Jade stated. "We're both perfectly capable warriors."
"Jade, I'm here partly for my own curiosity to be honest," Mamoru stated.
"What could you still be curious about though?" Jade questioned.
"The same thing I've been curious about," Mamoru replied.
"You of all people should know curiosity is not something that disappears easily Jade," the Dark King declared.
Jade let out a sigh of annoyance at this.
Finally, they reached Zyon's grave; only when Jade rested the flowers next to the headstone she noticed something very strange.
"There's a foot print here," Jade declared.
"A foot print, why would there be a foot print here?" Mamoru questioned. He moved to inspect the area to find that there was indeed a footprint right in front of the grave. "You're right, it is a footprint."
"What makes you think I'm was lying?" Jade asked sarcastically. "Why would someone have been here?"
"It is quite shocking seeing how so many have avoided Zyon's grave," the Devil stated.
"Avoid it? They stay away from it like it's the plague," Jade declared. "I specifically had it place far away from the other graves here 'cause I knew it would bother people to be near it" Jade continued.
"It doesn't even look like it's been tampered with or anything though," Mamoru stated while looking around the graveyard for signs of other visitors.
"I have a feeling there might be some foul play going on around here," the Devil declared.
