So here is Robin and Regina's little date. I don't think it will be too much longer until Regina gains her memories back as like i have said previously I don't want to drag it out too much but I am still trying to figure out what I want to do with Cora and Zelena so if anyone has any ideas of what they would like me to do to Cora and Zelena just let me know :)
The rest of the day, when Emma had arrived home, was spent deciding where everyone was going to sleep now that Regina was staying and also getting Regina ready for her date with Robin. Emma had been assigned to finding an outfit and Mary-Margaret was on hair and makeup. With some wine and girl talk the day was going very well and for the first time Regina could forget about her mother and what was going on.
Emma came downstairs with at least five dresses hanging over her arm and about three pairs of shoes in her hands. She placed them on Mary-Margaret's bed making both Regina and Mary-Margaret look over from the dressing table. "Okay we have a few to choose from." Emma said as she looked through the dresses. "We have this one…" She said holding up one of the dresses which Regina immediately shook her head at. "This one?" She held up another.
"I don't think that one really says 'date night' to me." Mary-Margaret said.
"Okay." Emma said chucking the dress to the side. "This one?"
Regina shook her head again. "I'm not sure about that one."
"Right." Emma said nodding her head. "Okay what about this one? This one's cute right?"
"Oh that one is nice. Regina you should wear that one." Mary-Margaret said.
"Really? You don't think that will be too much?" Regina asked as she looked from Emma to Mary-Margaret.
"What are you kidding me Regina? You want to look good for him don't you?" Emma said sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Well yea sure but…I have no idea where he is actually taking me. What if he is taking me to Grannies for dinner and I turn up in that." Regina said.
"So what…Least you will look good." Emma said. She held up the dress. It was a little black strapless dress with a slightly plunging v neckline and a flared peplum waist. It would bring out Regina's figure perfectly and Emma knew would have Robin drooling although Regina never seemed to have to dress up for that. "And I think…" Emma said placing the dress on the bed and reaching over to the shoes she brought down. "These would go perfectly."
She held up a pair of simple black heeled court shoes that had a gold stiletto heel. "Oh yea those would go nicely." Mary-Margaret agreed. "So that seems to be the outfit sorted. What should we do with your hair Regina?"
"I'm not sure." Regina shrugged.
"I think it would be nice with some curls." Emma said standing beside them. "Nothing too fancy."
Mary-Margaret nodded and then looked at Regina through the mirror who nodded her head also. "Sure."
So a little while later Regina was finally ready. Emma was right and the dress looked perfect on Regina and the shoes really did go well. She had a simple black clutch bag that had a simple gold chain handle and a black blazer. Her hair was set in gentle curls and her makeup was nothing overly fancy just nice and simple.
"You look great Regina." Mary-Margaret smiled.
"Yea Robin's gonna love it." Emma said giving her a wink then laughing.
Regina blushed and duck her head down slightly. "You really think he will?" Regina asked. "God I don't know why I am so nervous."
"Because you are going out on a date. That is normal." Mary-Margaret shrugged.
"Yea I am going out on a date with a man that you all say is my husband so I can somehow get to know him again." Regina said.
"It will be great and you never know by the end of the night you might have your memories back." Emma said.
"You think I might?" Regina asked.
Emma shrugged. "Who knows, maybe you might get them back that quick. But if not then we will continue to tell you things and see what we can do until you do get them back." Emma said placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Thanks. You guys have been so good to me and I will try not get under your feet here. I can honestly go back to my house if there's not enough room." Regina said.
"Nonsense Regina. You can stay as long as you want. Now come on let's go. Robin should be here any minute." Mary-Margaret said leaving the room with Emma and Regina following her. They walked into the sitting area where David was sitting watching the TV.
He looked up as the three women walked in and smiled. "Looking good Regina. Robin will love it."
Regina blushed, Mary-Margaret playfully hit David's shoulder and Emma nudged Regina and gave her a wink saying 'told you so'. She then turned to Mary-Margaret. "I don't think I can do this. I feel sick. There is this weird feeling in my stomach. It's all too much." Regina stressed as she leaned against the counter.
Mary-Margaret walked round and placed a hand on Regina's shoulder. "Regina it is normal to be nervous before a date and the strange feeling in your stomach is probably butterflies. Probably a combination of nerves and excitement. Are you looking forward to seeing Robin?"
"Well yes…I mean I like him…I guess…From when I first saw him in the hospital there was something…I can't really explain it. It was like something was…"
"Pulling you to him?" Mary-Margaret asked.
Regina nodded her head. "Yes." She sighed. "That's exactly it. I was so confused because I had no idea who he was."
"It was your true love. You may have lost your memories but true love doesn't forget Regina." Mary-Margaret said.
Right then there was a knock at the door and Regina jumped up and straightened out her dress and fluffed her hair. Emma walked over and answered the door. "Hey Robin, in you come." She said holding the door open.
Robin walked in and his eyes scanned the room and they immediately landed on Regina. He gave her a smile and couldn't help but notice just how amazing she looked. He walked over to her and held out a single white rose to her. "For you mi'lady." He said bowing his head slightly.
This made Emma and Mary-Margaret 'aww' quietly as they stood off to the side and watched. Regina rolled her eyes at them and she gave Robin a smile and took the rose from him. She brought it up to her nose and looked down slightly her eyes flicking up to him in a shy manner as a blush crept up on her cheeks. "Thank you."
"Shall we?" Robin asked as he held out his arm for her to take.
Regina nodded her head and she stepped forward placing her hand round his arm. She glanced back towards Emma and Mary-Margaret as they began to walk out and both Emma and Mary-Margaret held up their thumbs with a big smile on their faces. Regina rolled her eyes at them again and then turned back round. She and Robin walked out of the apartment building and began to walk down the street. Regina looked around her and then back up at Robin. She wondered where exactly he was going to take her and by the looks of him dressed in a very nice black suit and crisp white shirt she presumed it would not be Grannies.
"So…where are we going?" Regina asked him.
"Well…I should have perhaps given you a dress code as those shoes are perhaps not the best to be wearing for where we are going but no matter we shall figure something out I am sure. I am planning on re-creating a date we have had a couple of times before. Both times we had this 'first' date were wonderful and I feel perhaps it could be again." Robin explained.
"How can you have a first date two times?" Regina asked with a slight frown.
"Now that is a long story." Robin chuckled. He then went on to tell Regina the whole story of the curse, with her looking at him with interest and nodding here and there. "I think that's the whole story."
"So by the sounds of things my mother really does not approve of us being together…" Regina said knowing she really was stating the obvious.
"No she certainly doesn't. She does not want her beautiful daughter slumming it with some no good thief. How can such a man provide a lovely young woman with any kind of life." Robin responded.
Regina was just about to reply back when Robin stopped them and stood right in front of her. He placed his hands on her shoulders. "Now I would like you to close your eyes. No peeking okay?" Regina looked at him hesitantly and bit her lip. "Do you trust me?"
Regina thought about this question. Did she trust this man in front of her? This man that everyone told her she knew but to her memory she didn't know. But as she really thought about it she realised she did trust him. She trusted him with everything she had and that was a strange feeling to have for someone you did not really know at that moment in time. So she nodded her head and she closed her eyes like he had asked. She then let out a yelp of surprise as she felt him lift her up in a bridal style. She wrapped her arms round his neck and as he began to walk with her in his arms she desperately wanted to open her eyes a little and peek but she resisted the temptation.
Robin stopped and he gently placed Regina back on the ground. He removed his arms from her. "Hold on just a minute." He said to her. "Still no peeking."
"Okay." Regina replied, standing still with her eyes still closed.
Robin took a minute just to look at her, taking in her beauty, and just everything he loved about her. He then shook his head and turned round to look at the little picnic he had set up. Everything seemed to be okay so he turned back to Regina and stepped towards her, taking her hands in his. "Okay, you can open your eyes now." He said stepping to the side slightly.
Regina's eyes fluttered open and she gasped as she saw what Robin had done. A blanket lay on the ground with a basket and a bottle of wine sat beside it. There were fairy lights hanging from the trees and a perfect view of the town with the moonlight shining down on them. She glanced over to Robin with a smile on her face. "You done this for me? More than once?" Regina asked looking back at the picnic.
"Yea…I guess…I mean the first time we were in the Enchanted Forest so it wasn't exactly like this but the second time yea it was like this, in this exact spot." Robin said shrugging his shoulders. "Do you like it? Should I have done something else?"
"No Robin…" Regina said turning to face him. "I love it. Really I do." She gave him a smile and he smiled back at her.
"Good. I'm glad." Robin replied. He then held his arm out. "Shall we?"
Regina nodded and they both sat down on the blanket. Robin went out preparing the food he had brought and pouring her some wine. He handed her the plate and glass and then prepared his own. Regina watched him and could feel that her smile was still firmly placed on her face. She couldn't quite explain exactly what she was feeling for this man but she presumed it was whatever feelings she had with her memories. She just wished she could remember him. Once Robin had finished she decided to start asking him some questions. "So…we are husband and wife?"
Robin nodded his head. "We are indeed."
"Did we get married here or in the Enchanted Forest?"
"In the Enchanted Forest. It was not the most grandest of weddings but to me it was perfect. We married in the forest. You having run away with me kind of stopped us getting married in a castle or anything but we decorated the area where we were marrying as best we could…well I see we you actually took care of most of the planning. You wouldn't really let me plan it." Robin chuckled a little at the end. Regina giggled. "But it really was perfect and you…well you look beautiful, like always."
"I did?" Regina asked, blushing slightly and dipping her head down.
"Yes. Your hair was long, flowing down your back in gentle curls, parts pinned back and you wore like this crown that was made from white flowers. Your dress was white and very simple but perfect. Mind you could have probably wore rags and I would have thought you looked wonderful."
Regina laughed a little. "It sounds lovely." She said sighing a little. "I wish I could remember it."
"You will one day. I know you will." Robin said reaching over and placing his hand on hers.
Regina shivered slightly at his touch. She liked it, she knew that, her body was telling her that. "So…I guess we lived in the forest then?"
Robin nodded and removed his hand from hers. "Yes we did. We travelled around quite a lot, mostly to lose the black knights from the castle. Your mother never gave up looking for you. She was determined to get you away from me, so that you could marry someone more suited to you."
"That does sound like my mother." Regina replied. "So that is why she cast the curse?"
"Yes, so that we would be apart. Although it worked for many years when Emma turned up things began to change and well we found one another. We started seeing one another, nothing too serious had really developed between us before the curse had broken." Robin explained.
"And my mother took my memories to try a split us up again?" Regina asked.
"I guess so yes." Robin sighed. "She doesn't feel I am right for you. I am not who she you with. I am not right for you, not worthy."
"Surely I should be the one to decide who is right for me." Regina said.
"You should yes but your mother does not feel the same way." Robin said with a slight shrug.
"She may not but I will not allow her to rule my life." Regina said a little anger in her tone.
"I am sure you told her that before."
"Well I don't mind telling her again." Regina sighed. Regina then glanced back up at Robin. She bit her lip for a moment. "Do you…do you think our love will survive what my mother has done? Is our love strong enough for it?"
Robin looked up at Regina and thought about what she had said and he realised he had no doubt in his answer to her question. "I do think we will survive this. Our love is strong Regina, we have true love and true love will survive anything." He said. He reached over again and placed his hand on top of hers.
Regina gazed into his blue eyes, getting lost in them. She could feel herself leaning forward. She wanted to feel his lips against hers, she wanted to just fall into him and feel him against her. As they inched closer and closer she closed her eyes and then…
She suddenly felt herself being pulled back and she opened her eyes to see the space between herself and Robin had majorly increased and she looked down to see a red mist around her. She then looked to her side to see her mother. She gasped and tried to fight herself free but found she couldn't. "Mother let go of me!" Regina snapped glaring at Cora.
"Oh Regina I am disappointed in you." Cora sighed and she tightened her magical hold on Regina. Regina gasped a little more at the pressure of her mother's magic and could feel herself being pulled up slightly. "This thief is no good for you Regina. Don't let him fool you, don't let him trick you into believing his lies."
"He is not lying to me mother. I can feel it. I know he isn't. It is you who is lying to me, tricking me." Regina snapped back and struggling within her mother's hold. She then glanced over to where Robin was and could see him struggling against her mother's magic too.
"He doesn't love you Regina, none of them do. It is I who loves you Regina. I am only trying to do what is best or you Regina."
Regina shook her head. "No you're not mother. You are doing what is best for you. None of it is for me." Regina could feel something building up in her. It was like a huge pressure in her stomach, it built up and up and then suddenly a white light shone out of her hands and flung her mother backwards her magical hold over herself and Robin dropped. Regina then moved her hand and her mother disappeared. She turned on the spot and looked around her, checking everywhere to see where her mother had gone but she couldn't see her anywhere. She then turned back to Robin and ran over to him and knelt down. "Robin are you okay?"
Robin nodded his head. "Yes I'm fine. Where is your mother?"
"I don't know. I think I sent her somewhere. I had no idea I could do anything like that."
"You only found out you had magic once the curse had broken." Robin replied "It is very new to you. I think the only times you have used it is on instinct and I think your body just seems to know what to do."
Regina nodded her head. "It seems that way." She then turned slightly and looked around them again. "Perhaps we should go? In case she comes back?"
"I think that is a good idea." Robin said standing up. He then took Regina's hand and began to pull her away. "I can clear this up later."
