Here I have in my hands, the next chapter. This one was a difficult chapter to write :(

Enjoy!

Chapter 29

Ivy had been working for the FBI for two full days and so far Agents Strahm and Perez seemed unwilling to let her go back to Homicide. However she had finally become used to being addressed as 'Special Agent Reeves' rather quickly. She even had her own office set up, granted it was smaller than Agent Perez's and resembled a cardboard box in comparison to Strahm's but it was spacious enough and meant not having to share all her things anymore. She even had a secretary who handled all her calls along with Perez. The first day had been spent with Strahm and Perez leading her through the whole building from top to bottom and it was huge. Rows on rows of offices, the different branches where she had paused to look at the Cybercrime Division for quite a long time. It felt weird to be working for a different division than the one she specified in, but the FBI was the FBI and she finally felt like she belonged here, despite Strahm and Perez being profilers. She didn't have to dumb down her language for the likes of Rigg who wasn't on par with her knowledge of forensics and psychology, her fitness had already been questioned and she was allowed to use the gymnasium whenever she wanted; the efficiency of the whole building was stunning. To have a set of fingerprints delivered to her a couple of hours later and not when the lab decided to do it was a blessing and work that would have taken two days at Homicide was completed in a couple of hours. The first thing Strahm had asked of her was to call him Peter in private and only by his last name when wanting to create an impressionable impression. Mark had called Ivy first thing on Monday morning asking where on earth she was. His surprise to hear she was at the FBI meeting with agents was evident in his tone, but he seemed a little more relaxed. She left out the part where she was moving her stuff in to make her office there a more permanent home, deciding to leave that for when she collected her other stuff.

Peter Strahm's theory was correct. He had pieced together by analysing the weight of some of the Jigsaw victims that John Kramer and Amanda Young had no way of hauling their heavier victims around on their own. A third apprentice was needed, one with medical knowledge preferably. Lawrence was in no danger, having been tested himself no one who had been a previous victim was thought to be an accomplice too. "It has to be someone we know." Said Peter darkly and Ivy and Perez had agreed. "If Detective Kerry is found dead then we have to take over." Peter Strahm informed, "There are too many from that precinct dying, thank god we've managed to get you out." He smiled and Ivy nodded. "As our liaison I feel like it's our duty to finish up what she was involved in."

"I agree. This has to stop." Nodded Ivy quietly, Perez offered her a smile. If Peter Strahm and Lindsey Perez were not Special Agents both could have had rather successful modelling careers. Granted Peter was occasionally awkward with what he said and Lindsey was all work and no play, but the partners were charismatic, likeable and attractive. The FBI seemed to attract these sort of people and while Strahm in particular had done Ivy's head in with his incessant phone calls, he was a genuinely nice person.

On the fourth day of her being missing some officers in uniform investigating druggies in an abandoned building discovered a red and black cape flying outside the building like a flag calling all to it. They called Homicide immediately. It was Officer Rigg who called Ivy about the red cape styled as a flag. He informed her that he and Mark were heading over to check it out. Without Kerry Ivy could tell he was lost in himself, unused to being ordered around by Hoffman. Out of the bar group there was only himself and Ivy left right now and he clung onto the sparse relationship he had with her. "Call me when you discover anything more." She instructed him.

"Are you working there now?" Rigg asked, his tone was as full of surprise as Mark's had been despite ringing her mobile.

"I suppose I am yes, I was the go between." Ivy told him feeling awkward. "I mean we all knew I was really an FBI Agent, I wasn't ever really just a Homicide cop."

"I know, but we've all got used to you being here." He told her sadly. "Without you and Kerry it seems like a graveyard here, you know with neither of you being in her office."

Ivy sighed feeling guilty, "I know it's sudden. I didn't think they would just give me an office and a secretary either, but it is about time. People will rise up and replace them." She told him sighing.

"No they won't." Was Rigg's reply after a while. She smiled down the line as Lindsey peered through the door. "You have a secretary wow."

"I know, I'm still getting used to the other phone beeping, I've done everything from my mobile before."

They hung up and Lindsey stepped fully into the room. "Who was that?" She asked nosily.

"Just a friend from the station. He's gone to check out a potential Jigsaw crime scene. Two officers in uniform saw a red and black came flying like a flag outside the abandoned building with drug users inside. They ran when the saw the police but they called Homicide to check it out. It reminds me of when we went to investigate before Eric Matthew's test." She shuddered in memory of the raid that went so horribly wrong.

"Think it's Detective Kerry?"

"I don't know. Could be, might not be." Ivy sighed, "Could just be a trap for the other officers." She frowned at the thought. "But only Amanda would do such a thing."

"Yes John Kramer does seem to have morals, despite his weird modus operandi." Lindsey nodded leaning a hand against Ivy's desk. "I'm glad to have you here at last. It's nice to have someone other than Strahm to talk to about things. It gets a bit too personal if you know what I mean."

"Yes I do. I'm going to have to get used to not being able to escape to make a cup of coffee whenever I want to." Ivy grinned.

"That's what Jessica is for." Lindsey smiled, "Although Agent Cowan also makes a Starbucks run in the morning, I'll ask her to add you to the list."

"Thanks." Ivy smirked happy to be included. However no matter how much Lindsey's good nature rubbed off on her, and no matter how close they got, she wouldn't be able to replace Allison.

"Do you know if anything came from Strahm investigating the crime scenes of Julia and Mario?" Ivy asked and Lindsey thought for a minute.

"Uh, well they were before your game or around the same time, so most of the forensic evidence was contaminated or inconclusive. But it doesn't seem like there was anything of value there. Good job too. I'd never seen Peter so angry before, I think if there had been anything he would have had them arrested for delaying the cause of justice." Lindsey frowned and shook her head. "He's such a hothead." She said affectionately.

"Oh I know that much." Ivy frowned and glanced at the phone again drumming her fingers impatiently on the keyboard.

Lindsey regarded her with sad eyes, "You need to know don't you?" She asked gently.

"I do, Allison was my 'boss' so to speak. We shared an office and became very close outside of work. I suppose I should have seen it coming after Matthews but it's still horrific."

"Of course it is. The whole department is being wiped out."

"And the message saying two Detectives are in danger is creeping me out, although that might have been Matthews and Kerry surely?" She asked and Lindsey nodded.

"It seems like it." She agreed, "Peter is still obsessing over the note he found, all he keeps saying is "open the door and you will find me. It's like a mantra."

"Well that was meant for Allison wasn't it?" Ivy question her eyebrows knitting together, "Open the door to her closet and you will find me, as in her captor ready to take her?"

"Well maybe, but that doesn't explain the key does it?" Lindsey pointed out. There was a silence.

"What key?" Ivy asked her tone darkening and another glance went to the phone. Opportunely enough that was when Peter himself knocked on Ivy's door.

Lindsey opened it at once, "You didn't tell her about the key?"

"Did I not?" Asked Peter with a frown crossing his arms.

"I thought there were going to be no more secret theories." Ivy said accusingly.

"There won't be." Peter said at once his eyes gleaming with an apology. "I'm sorry Ivy, I think my head was all over the place at that time." He gestured to her and she got out of her seat. "Come with me."

Ivy followed the two agents into Strahm's office where he went over to a filing cabinet and extracted a silver key with a long chain inside a transparent plastic bag. 'It's already been analysed by forensics and it was placed by John Kramer. We found it on top of the note saying "open..."

"the door and you will find me." Finished Ivy impatiently. "What does it mean?"

"We don't know that's it. I thought it was for Allison to open her closet, but it didn't fit the lock and the closet was open anyway. Then when we found out it was from John Kramer we began to think it was for the next Jigsaw game, but the SWAT team has just entered without the need for a key."

"So it's a mystery right now?" She decided and the two other Agents nodded.

"Yep." Peter said stashing it away again. "I want to ask this Hoffman guy who is at the crime scene going on now if Homicide know anything we don't, in case they have been hiding things from you and Kerry."

"Okay, well thanks for letting me know about it." Ivy smiled and Peter returned it.

"I told you no more secrets. You're the Jigsaw expert now, you're the one who needs to know everything." Peter told her patting her on the shoulder. Peter's phone rang and Jess, their secretary's voice echoed through the office.

"Detective Hoffman is on line one. He tried to call Agent Reeves but got no reply." She informed the trio and Strahm seized the phone at one, "Speak of the devil and he will call." He said with a smirk which the two women both returned. Ivy found it fitting to think of Hoffman as the devil.

"She watched the smile disappear from Peter's face and form a harsh line as he gritted his teeth. "Okay thanks for the information." He set the phone down and looked at Ivy his expression grim. His hesitation told her all she needed to know. "It's Detective Kerry. Her body's been discovered at the building. I'm sorry."

Her stomach felt as if it had dropped out from underneath her. She felt hollow and empty. Allison was the first person whom Ivy held truly dear to her to have died, she felt as if someone had stabbed her, but she did not cry. It wasn't because she didn't want to seem weak in front of Peter and Lindsey, or because of how unjust Ivy felt the whole situation was, it was just a complete lack of emotion. Lindsey and Peter were sharing glances of remorse and sympathy. "Well there's no point in wasting time on sympathies you aren't going to want." Said Peter, although it seemed hard for him to say. "Let's go." He ordered and Ivy nodded at once heading back to her office to get her blazer and FBI badge, her Homicide badge was beside it on her desk. She didn't notice Lindsey had followed her inside will her voice spoke.

"I'm very sorry. Kerry did seem to be a good person. She was dedicated to the cause and..."

"Yeah I think she was too dedicated." Ivy frowned, "Everyone whose ever had contact with Jigsaw in one way or another has been targeted, even if you just walked past John in a hallway."

"Well everyone who's ever been involved with Jigsaw has been alerted to make themselves known to the police." Lindsey said rubbing her shoulders from awkwardness. "Ivy don't come with us. It's not going to be something you want to see."

"I thought it was my job to investigate every crime scene for things other people might have missed because they don't know Jigsaw like I do." She stated tugging her coat on.

"Well it is..." Lindsey protested not wanting to be the outlet of Ivy's unspoken grief. "But I don't know if you should really see her in such a horrible state. It's a Jigsaw trap."

"I need to do this Lindsey." Ivy snapped. "I need to go and carry on doing my job. If I don't go then I might always regret it if I don't. Just...please." She sighed and Lindsey gave her a look filled with anguish. Ivy appreciated her concern, truthfully she didn't know what would be best for her, but if there was something to incriminate Mark or Amanda and bring the FBI closer to arresting them then she would grit her teeth, pay her respects to her best friend and carry on exactly like Allison would have wanted.

Peter entered without knocking and looked at the two of them. "Are you coming or not?" He directed it at Ivy knowing Lindsey was onboard.

"Yes I am." Said Ivy brushing past Lindsey and out underneath Peter's arm and down the hallway.

"Atta girl." Cried Peter and followed her, Lindsey bringing up the rear.

The building was disgusting, probably one of the foulest Ivy had encountered. The walls looked slimy in the greenish light which echoed around Allison's tomb. Ivy stayed at the back of the two other Agents using Peter's shoulder to only take in so much, it was a defensive mechanism and she thought he wouldn't mind her hiding behind his frame if it became too much. She was resigned to what she would see, Allison was dead. That much was for certain. The forensics were already there, as was most of what remained of the Homicide Department and Daniel Rigg had already done the hideous job of notifying her parents. Every time Ivy passed something the feeling of utter dread in her stomach intensified as they made it down the final set of stairs.

Lindsey stepped forwards, "Detective Hoffman I'm Special Agent Perez, this is Special Agent Peter Strahm and..."

"Ivy." Mark said as soon as he had spotted her peering out from behind Strahm's shoulder. He followed her eyes to Allison's body. It was a horrific sight. Allison was displayed as some kind of sadistic angel. Metal covered most of her upper half and formed what looked like wings, the whole concept was disturbing and Ivy's breath caught in her throat trapping the air. Blood was everywhere, underneath the body, spattered onto the walls and all over Allison, Ivy was grateful she could not see her eyes, not Allison's eyes. She didn't want to see them. Rigg was leaning heavily against the wall, his expression displayed every inch of what Ivy felt, sorrow, anguish, confusion and regret. Mark took a hold of her arm at once when he saw her body weight shift, worried she was going to faint from the scene before her. "What on earth are you doing here? I can't believe you'd bring her to this." He accused harshly supporting her as she stared unseeingly ahead.

"Special Agent Reeves came of her own volition." Lindsey said defensively and Mark shot her a look of distaste.

"How can I help the FBI?" Asked Mark pretending not to hear Lindsey as he steadied Ivy. She moved out of his arms and began to inspect the message scrawled onto one of the walls.

CHERISH YOUR LIFE

"Is this blood?" She asked, her voice nothing more than a hoarse whisper and Lindsey and Peter looked to each other regretting their decision to let her come.

"No." Said Mark quickly, "It's paint like all the others, it's just dripping. A quick job." He assured Ivy and she nodded.

"We're here about Detective Kerry, she was our liaison before Ivy became one of us. I'm sure you are aware that Detective Reeves is an FBI Agent acting as a Detective in order to help your department with these cases. She has been in contact with us about every case she has examined and now will be taking a permanent position with us now that we have to be involved." Lindsey informed, her tone clinical as Mark regarded her with a cool expression.

Maybe it is better for them all to find out that way. Ivy thought sadly as she made her way over to Daniel who gripped her hand at once. She nodded at him to tell him she understood his pain and carefully, cautiously walked round to the front of the corpse. Seeing Allison unmoving with so much blood she knew it had been a painful death. One of her hands was practically dissolved and a beaker of acid was laid before Allison. Her key was in the acid? Did it just dissolve and she didn't reach it in time? As she looked into her friend's soulless eyes the tears began to well and before she could stop herself they were dripping down her cheeks. Her cries alerted Mark and the two agents, however Mark beat them to it and pulled her away from Allison and turned her towards him like Adam had done previously. Ivy felt weak and frail in Mark's strong grip and tried to pull away from him again only to be pulled back by Mark. Her eyes caught the parts of bone and flesh which had been ripped away and she stared at them morbidly, "Are they her ribs?" She whispered and Mark very subtly nodded, another wave of tears threatened to engulf her but she gave up this time and allowed the murderer to give her this small ounce of comfort. It was disturbingly ironic.

"Open the door and you will find me." Said Strahm.

"What?" Asked Mark too preoccupied with Ivy to give the FBI Agent his full attention. Peter produced the key from his pocket and chucked it at Mark who was forced to step away from Ivy to catch it, otherwise let it be covered in blood.

"What's this?" He asked.

"This is the key that came with our last message from Detective Kerry, 'open the door and you will find me' mean anything to you?" Interrogated Peter already in his element. Lindsey stayed dutifully quiet. Ivy folded her arms around herself and rubbed at her eyes till they began to sting, she felt a hand at her back and saw Daniel's eyes shinning with compassion. Mark was already shaking his head and handed it back to Lindsey who frowned at him, but took it anyway.

"I can't stay here anymore." Rigg muttered in Ivy's ear and pushed past them all and took himself up the steps. Ivy frowned, she didn't want him to leave her, he was one of the only genuine friends she had left on the police force. Mark allowed the Agents to examine Allison's body but Peter bent forwards to whisper to Ivy.

"Don't feel obligated to stay at all, if it's too much you can go home for the day."

Ivy considered it for a minute before shaking her head and smiling at him, "Let's catch this motherfucker." She whispered and Peter nodded at her.

"Crime scene photographer's flash picked up a bullet lodged between the body and the device." Informed Detective Fisk who was busy with the camera.

"Run it for prints." Mark ordered and Ivy appraised him cooly.

"Large and in charge." She murmured and Mark lifted his head when he heard her return to her normal self.

"I'm afraid so, now more than ever."

"So this makes you the lead Detective on this case now then doesn't it?" Ivy asked him and Mark stared at her for a moment before nodding slowly. The camera's continuous flashes were beginning to irritate Ivy and thankfully Peter asked for her to give them a moment. Lindsey bent down to examine the lock by the number 1 and Ivy broke off their conversation to watch her analyse it.

"The lock was open, she couldn't get out." Lindsey told them all.

Ivy's worst fear was realised. "That bitch." She hissed at once and Mark, Lindsey and Peter all looked at her in alarm. Peter motioned for professionalism and gave her a warning look. "It's Amanda Young's design then isn't it?" She solved at once. "Adam, Troy and now Allison. They've all got inescapable games." She said and Mark nodded.

"Constructed for her execution. Betraying the rules." Mark agreed and she shot him a look.

"Not a Jigsaw trap then." Muttered Lindsey to herself.

"No." Said Mark he seemed smug that so far he knew more than anyone else, "I have to agree with Ivy that Amanda Young the accomplice is..."

"This wasn't done by Amanda Young." Peter stated adamantly. He was still running an observant eye all over the corpse. He sent a look to Ivy, "Remember what we discussed?" He reminded and Ivy nodded slowly, Lindsey too nodded. Mark watched Ivy carefully, she glanced at him and then back at her new boss. She felt sick again as she regarded Hoffman cooly out of the corner of her eyes.

"Excuse me? Something you're all not telling me?" He asked Ivy, his tone was harsher and firmer his eyes burning that she was concealing something from him. Ivy kept quiet a tremor running through her.

"Leave her Hoffman she's just lost a good friend." Lindsey ordered seeing him advance on her, Mark sent her back a challenging look.

"I believe I've known her longer than any of you." He retorted back, Lindsey did not reply but turned back to her boss. Ivy saw the fire in Mark's eyes at being challenged, shut up Lindsey or he'll come after you. Is he really being so childish? When she was sure Mark's back was turned Perez shot her a look full of questions and raised eyebrows.

"Detective Kerry weighed approximately one hundred and thirty pounds Amanda Young's arrest report has her at a hundred and seven she couldn't get her up there alone." Ivy smirked at how Peter was dealing with Hoffman, it was now starkly clear who was really in charge here. Her eyes widened as she looked at her friend cold and lifeless. She walked over and close her eyelids, true to form she was freezing. That means Mark helped Amanda with this. She didn't act alone here.

"John Kramer was..." Started Mark but Peter once more beat him to it with a ready reply.

"A bedridden cancer patient. He's brains not brawn."

"He was also an engineer. He could have rigged pulleys..." Retorted Mark trying to up Strahm.

"Or someone else could have helped them." Ivy finished putting an end to the discussion. Mark looked at her again and Ivy stared back daring him to confess. There was an expression swirling in his eyes that she couldn't comprehend.

"Special Agents if you are here for anything other than just to assist..." Mark tried once more making sure to include Ivy in his general address. His tone was slightly spiteful and mocking as his eyes never left Ivy and in her own defiance she went over to stand by Peter who was still inspecting Kerry's body.

Strahm interrupted Mark once more and the muscle in his jaw twitched, the battle for control was evident and Lindsey did right by not getting involved. Ivy knew she should be following her example but kept getting dragged in by Mark and her own mixed feelings of wanting to keep the peace and her slowly building anger towards him.

"I'm here to find person your department couldn't Detective the one helping Jigsaw and Amanda Young." Strahm informed making sure to walk directly into Mark's path so the Detective was forced to move. The corner of Ivy's mouth drew to the side at her boss' arrogance even though she was enjoying the impassiveness of Mark's face as soon as Peter revealed they were all on to him. Lindsey glanced at Ivy and then followed Peter up the stairs. Ivy avoiding Mark's eye meant to follow but Mark grabbed her by the arm and pulled her over by the wall away from Allison's body and by the stairs so they were hidden from immediate view, yet the corpse remained just in view behind Mark's shoulder like a constant reminder.

"Ow you're hurting." She grimaced in pain and Mark let go at once his eyes showing an apology but he still lent in towards her pressing a hand against the wall.

"What the fuck was that?" He asked her trying to get her to look at him.

"Nothing. What was what?" She asked still not meeting his gaze.

"What? The fact that you've joined up with the FBI without even a goodbye to us, you'd just move on so quickly, the fact that your hiding valuable information from me that might help catch this fucker or how you treated me like shit just before and at Troy's game." He hissed in her ear. Her eyes widened not realising he felt so strongly about it all. Mark always seemed to be so in control keeping all this thoughts to himself. This outburst seemed pretty out of character and what was more he seemed genuinely upset.

"I was going to say goodbye." She mumbled the heat rising in her cheeks. "But I've been so busy in my first couple of days and with Allison I've been a mess. I thought you'd gathered that much from my texts and then that video, were you trying to creep me out or cheer me up."

"Cheer you up." Mark said rolling his eyes. "I know how much you hated that guy."

"I don't hate him." She corrected knowing what hate did to a person, the product was in front of her right now. "I really don't like him but he didn't deserve to nearly die." She protested.

Mark calmed a little when she finally looked into his blue eyes and he ran a hand through his hair. "Your boss is a dick." He told her bluntly and she nodding biting back a smirk.

"I know but he's good at his job."

"A third apprentice? You really think so?" He asked.

"All the evidence is beginning to point to one. I felt like it wasn't my place to uncover what Strahm had spent so long riddling out, I didn't want to steal his thunder."

"This is a murder case Ivy. There isn't time to be playing nice with anyone." Mark hissed. "I...I thought that while friends might be pushing what our relationship is, especially since recent events where you haven't been around me much, I thought you at least had respect for me..."

"I do have respect for you and we are friends." She told him feeling scalded.

"Well act like it. Don't throw me under the bus when I'm speculating just as much as them." He warned her and the guilt began to suffocate her as it had done in the bathroom when she had electrocuted Adam. He lent away from the wall and Ivy didn't realise her breathing had been shallow. Mark noted the bigger rise and fall in her chest and looked back into her eyes. "You're scared of me?" He said slowly.

"No I'm not Mark." Ivy said at once, "I've been through hell these past couple of weeks. Things just keep happening and I feel like I'm always on edge, I'm sorry if you feel abandoned by me." She hesitated briefly, "But we both knew I was always going to become an FBI Agent, it's what I trained to be. Did you think I was going to stay with Homicide?" She asked him gently and his eyes finally darted away from her giving away more than he had ever done before. "You did." She whispered her eyes looking away as her mind processed his words.

"I'm not good with this sort of thing." Mark told her sadly. "Just because I don't have the fancy badge..."

"It has nothing to do with what type of badge you have." She told him honestly. "All I can do is try and be a better friend to you."

Mark nodded glumly before his eyes travelled up the stairs to see Lindsey standing there having watched most of the heated exchange. He backed away from Ivy instantly as she saw where he was looking at. Lindsey didn't say a word, she seemed to be confused and after a quick glance Ivy began to walk up the stairs and followed the FBI Agent making sure to glance back at Mark so he didn't feel any more rejected by her than he already did. He thought I was going to stay...with him? The thought was too much right now. She couldn't possibly begin to examine any ulterior feelings Mark might have for her, what with Adam, the survivors group, the FBI, Homicide and Jigsaw she felt like she need a good two week holiday on some remote island by herself.

"I didn't know you and Hoffman were so close." Lindsey said quietly as they walked away from the crime scene.

"Neither did I." Ivy remarked equally as quiet. "I'm sure it looked like more than it really was. We used to be much closer than we are now, I think he was a little betrayed by how quickly I ended up a full time member of the FBI."

"Well like you said it was always going to happen, just a question of when." Lindsey said still looking confused as if her mind was still replaying the events. "Let's hope we can use your relationship with him to keep in touch with what exactly that department is doing."

Her wording instantly reminded Ivy of John's asking of her to keep an eye on Mark beforehand. My whole life is spinning on a giant axis. She thought exhaustedly as daylight finally hit her skin again. She spotted Peter waiting for the two of them.

"Finally, I thought something had happened." He said fully serious.

"We're fine thanks." Ivy replied with a weak grimace.

"Reeves has a good relationship with Hoffman, we might be able to use it to have a look around the department and make a decision on how effective they are being." Lindsey informed and Ivy shot her a deadly look behind her back, Peter however caught it and chuckled.

"Like that is it?" He joked and Ivy's eyes widened at the pair.

"Nothing like it at all. I have a boyfriend." She told them both, "You might have heard of him."

"Yeah we know, but we never mentioned anything about your boyfriend, you did." Smirk Peter leaning against his black, nondescript car. Ivy closed her mouth feeling bested by the two Agents and decided to keep very quiet for the rest of the day. "So team what do we say is the best plan of action?" Peter addressed the two women in front of him.

"Go back to the research lab and look into the Eric Matthews case some more, run some background checks on Hoffman, Fisk and some of the other Detectives in case the warning about two Detectives come to fruition." Suggested Lindsey looking to Ivy. When she gave them a blank look Lindsey gestured with her hand.

"Or if we are worried about the other Detectives why don't we tell them they might be in danger?" Ivy asked the two. "Go to the station and have an inspection of them while we're there. It's where they spend all their time so the best place to see if any of them are acting suspicious." Ivy suggested wondering if this was the right thing to say. "Or we could try and solve the whole 'open the door' mystery since nothing is coming up."

"Wait, did you way if the Detectives are acting suspicious?" Asked Peter zeroing in on her throw away statement.

"Maybe." She said feeling like she had let the cat partly out of the bag.

"You think it could be one of the other Detectives whose the accomplice?" Lindsey asked pulling Ivy closer to their little group as some of the other forensics exited the building and marked it with crime scene tape.

"Well if it was then it would explain why they've targeted so many cops, Tapp, Sing, Matthews, Kerry...me." Ivy explained trailing off at the end. This is what I needed, people I can suggest to but are bossy and authoritative enough to be able to handle it better than me. It was a selfish thought but Ivy knew Mark could turn very nasty if he ever thought she was having doubts about him, he already had a negative opinion of Lindsey and Peter however.

"It's worth investigating. And would explain how Jigsaw covers his tracks so well." Lindsey nodded jumping on the idea at once.

"Good thinking Reeves." Praised Peter smiling at her intuition. "Intuition is a profiler's best friend in my opinion. Never ever doubt it." He told her and Ivy returned his smile. He broke off as Mark came out of the building. Knowing exactly what to do Ivy made her way back over to him quickly.

"Hey you don't think we'd be able to go back to the station with you, just to look around see what we can uncover from Allison's office?" Ivy asked, Mark looked over at the two expectant Agents and they both knew he had no choice but to comply.

"Of course. You can get your stuff too."

Things are becoming more and more tangled for Ivy it seems. Poor Alison, I always thought her death was so unjust. This is why we dislike Amanda people!
