Chapter Twenty Seven: The Feel of Him

St. Joseph Hospital

"Okay Tam, in a few minutes you'll be completely knocked out and we'll get this thing underway!" Natalie, Tam's new nurse for the day injected her IV with some substance and Tam watched her very carefully. The woman turned and looked at the overwhelmed look on her face. "You're going to be fine! Don't worry just relax and let the medicine take effect. Just focus in on a happy memory and let your mind drift." Tam took a deep breath and closed her eyes. The nurse had asked everyone to leave because the medicine literally only took minutes to work. Teddy had clinched her hand so tight and his blue eyes filled with tears.

"Don't cry Teddy," she whispered as she went groggy. Natalie frowned at her patient and looked around to make sure no one has returned to the room. Tam had surrendered to her subconscious and Teddy of course was every present. She was wrapped in a memory.

Teddy had picked her up and carried her into their apartment. He'd slowly placed her on their featherbed comforter and ran his hands along the sides of her body.

"I'll never get tired of you Tam. I'm addicted to the way you gaze at me with those hazel eyes, your full soft lips, and your sultry voice." He murmured before kissing her. "You're intoxicating."

"Teddy you don't have to say all of that I already want you," Tam murmured against Teddy's lips. He had managed to lower himself on top of her. He brushed her hair away from her face.

"I know I don't have to say anything, but confession is good for the soul. Plus … you know what never mind." Teddy went to kiss her again but Tam pulled away.

"Nope, you know I hate when you do that!" He took a deep breath and looked unsure for a moment.

"I was thinking if I tell you how much I love and adore you then you never try to leave me again," he muttered and Tam gave him a look of pity and concern that was exactly what he was trying to avoid. He didn't want her to feel guilty or concerned about him. He wanted her turned on and squirming beneath him. Tamera smoothed her hand along Teddy's cheek and jaw line.

"I love you," she whispered before kissing him. "I will never leave you again." Teddy intensified their kiss and maneuvered them between the sheets of the California King sized bed.

"I want to make love to you slow," Teddy said between clenched teeth. "I want you to feel every inch of me baby." Tam simply nodded and marveled at the feel of being connected. She loved this, she loved being one with Teddy. It was like their bodies communicated and their spirits connected. That's what Tamera thought anyway but she'd never admit to something so corny. "Tammy look at me baby," Tam murmured before kissing her on the nose. He toyed with her by gently brushing his lips against hers. She panted and moaned and she reveled their intimacy.

"Teddy," she groaned and lifted up enough so she could kiss him like she wanted to. They were nothing but tongues as their moments began to quicken. Tam allowed her hands to travel down Teddy's spine and lingered at the small of his back. After a few moments she cupped his behind and squeezed. Teddy chuckled as best he could but quickly became lost in the look in Tammy's eyes.

"God, you beautiful Tam … you gonna come for me?" He whispered before sucking on her earlobe. He gripped her tighter as he thrust harder within her.

"Oh Teddy I love you!" She moaned and Teddy came at exactly the same time. It was the first and only time that ever happened she normally finished first. Teddy collapsed on top of her but instead of burying his head in her breast like he normally would he rested his hear against her chest as he listened to her heartbeat.

"This is mine Tam," he whispered. "Forever."

"Yes, forever Teddy," she murmured and then opened her eyes. Her mother was staring her in the face with tears in her eyes.

"Mom," Tam croaked closed her eyes to try and regained clarity. She was still in the hospital and based on the dull ache on her left side she figured the surgery must've been successful. "Mom?"

"Your father called me as soon as you went into the hospital. I'm sorry I'm so late baby but my damned plane was late but I'm here now." Imani smoothed her daughter's hair back and Tam tried to swallow but her mouth and throat were really dry. "Is there anything I can get for you baby?" Her mother was already on her way to the water pitcher and pouring her a glass. Tam started struggle to the sitting position to drink. Her mom grabbed the remote to the bed and adjusted it.

"I'm glad you're here," Tam murmured as she sipped on her water and coughed a little. "I was so scared mom."

"You weren't the only one. I've never cried as much as I did the past couple days." Her mother kissed her on the top of her head. "Let me go and tell the nurse that you're awake so they can move you back into your room." After her mother left the room Tam took a deep sigh and stared at the wall. She was glad her mother was there she felt like her family was complete, but it was a little weird seeing her after such a vivid dream about Teddy. Tam was eager to be moved back to her room because she assumed that's where he was. After a moment she watched a tired Teddy move toward her and sit beside her.

"You're alive," he teased.

"And your tired Teddy you need to get some sleep remember what that guy said," Tam reprimanded and Teddy chuckled.

"I haven't slept all night and I didn't try to I stayed up and watched over you. I was worried about you and as your man I reserve that right. Is that okay with you Ms. Black?" Tam smirked a little she was getting tired again.

"Yeah that's most definitely okay." She puckered her lips and Teddy leaned in and gave her a little kiss. Tam pulled her pillow from behind her and laid it in her lap. Teddy rested his head on the pillow. Tam smiled down at him. She closed her eyes as she gently ran her hands through his copper hair and simply enjoyed the feel of him.
