Epilogue
Raven's First Gym Class...
The first couple of days a little getting used to for Raven. Granted she did like the way the siblings accepted her like she was family. By the third day, she was glad that the League had allowed her live with Emma and Howler. The two girls almost seemed inseparable whether it was at school or at home. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be the said about when it came to training. Raven had been pair with Fate in an attempt to better get control of their abilities.
As if that wasn't bad enough; Black Canary had the young girl start training with the annoying turd monkey, as Emma had started calling him, to help her deal with larger enemies. That lasted only one session due to an incident which caused her to physically throw the changeling at the Zeta tubes. Black Canary made sure that there was no footage of had what happened, but that was the least of her problems.
One thing that had made the week better was that she had been placed in Emma's class in school. She had been introduced as Emma's cousin Rachel Roth and quickly made friends with both Cissie and Jessie. "Do we have to join another class to do this?" Cissie asked as her and the rest of her class entered the gym on Friday. "Unfortunately yes, and you can blame Derek for this," Ms. Morse replied with a sigh.
"Remind me to hurt him depending on what he did," Emma said before leaning against a wall. "Probably something stupid," Cissie said looking over at the other doors. "I wonder what stupid thing he did this time," Jessie said. "He challenged another class to a game of dodgeball," Ms. Morse replied.
"Its official, Derek is going to get it," Emma said before pushing off from the wall and started stretching. "Who gets him after Emma?" Jessie asked. "Better question is will there be anything left," Emma said as the other class walked in. "Probably should've asked this sooner," Rachel said looking at the other class, "but what's dodgeball?" "You kidding? You've never played dodgeball," Derek said before being Gibb slapped by both Emma and Cissie.
"You are not allowed to talk," Cisse said before they heard a sharp whistle. "Alright everybody. Listen up," the gym teacher said loudly, "Due to an argument between some of your classmates this morning, the principal has decided you will have a joint gym class today to settle the argument." A collective groan was heard from the students as Cissie and Emma Gibb slapped Derek again.
The gym teacher smiled as he saw the two girl's reaction before continuing, "Personally, I think the principal is a tree hugging hippie, but we are going to try it her way first. You're going to play three games of dodgeball; grade versus grade, boys versus girls, and the last game will be for anyone that wants to play. I won't be handing out detentions today if you play at least two of the three games. Now before we begin, Derek, would you please tell everyone who you were aruging with and why?"
Derek pointed at one of the third grade boys and said, "Jarred said that women shouldn't be in the Justice League because saving the world man's job." "And you disagree?" his teacher asked. He looked at him as he answered, "Well yeah. Someone has to clean the guys uniforms." The four girls gave Derek their own versions of the bat glare as they said, "You're an idiot." "Regardless of what we think, the first game is going to be an opinion game," the gym teacher said after clearing his throat, "If you think Jarred and Derek are right, go stand with them against the north wall. Those that think they're wrong, go to the south wall."
One by one, the students began to move. As expected; Rachael, Cissie, Jessie, and Emma went to the south wall. What surprised everyone was only Derek and James stood across from them. The rest of the students had walked over to the east wall and sat down. "Now this is surprising," the home room Teacher said surprised, "James, how come you're not standing with Derek? I thought you two were friends."
One of the boys slowly got up and said, "We are friends, but I'm more afraid of his Cissie's wicked curveball than him." The teacher glanced at the one blonde out of the corner of his eye and said, "Good point, and the rest of you?" "He said it," all but one of the other students said pointing at James. Cissie smirked as the other girls laughed. "Ok. Michael, you're friends with Jared, what's your reasoning for not wanting to play this round?" the other classes teacher asked. "You really expect me to stand with my friend, after what he said, against those four considering what you call three of them?" Michael replied.
The teacher looked over to see the four girls standing next to each other smiling then said, "Even I'm not that suicidal." The students laughed as Rachel asked, "What does he call you?" Emma looked at her supposed cousin and said, "The Titans."
