In the event any (probably all) of my fans here are not followers of my other three principle fanfictions I would like to make an anouncement:
I am planning a rebirth of Gyotso into the fanfiction world. The plan being is to finish said four principle fictions and any others that are close to completion but never ended. That being said, new stories may crop up from time to time. However, I realized the practicality of shorter stories and why I shouldn't have constructed such long ones. On that note I will also mention that this tale is projected to end in five to six more chapters. It could be less or more depending on how long the chapters themselves run, it all depends on how the story grows and what still needs to be said and cleared up.
I now bid thee adieu(with the traditional disclaimers) until the bottom of the page:
Jason and Kim were outside Dr. O's.
"We should never have introduced him to this life." Kim told her husband, fingering the ring she wore around her neck to conceal their marriage. "I wanted him to have a life, to grow up, and to have a family."
"I know Kim, believe me I know."
"He could die."
Jason looked grim, although his normal attitude would be an optimistic one he was having a hard time pushing a bright side. Even with their powers back at new extremes, Jason couldn't imagine an eventuality where the world would make it... let alone their son.
"He'll make it. We're his parents, that has to count for something."
Kim could only nod, she was worried about her little boy... the one that believed so much in what his parents did as teenagers that he sought to do his part and fight in a nearly unwinnable war.
...
Kira and Connor were gathering intelligence.
Eric Mcknight remained in critical condition but had healed far better under the influence of the red dino gem. He was still wearing the watch, but the powers had to be turned off.
"Connor." Kira whispered, seeing a group of Banes enter the McKnight residence.
"We've got to stop them." Connor muttered, glaring at the gold plated bane he knew from Josh to be their leader.
"We should call for back up." Kira suggested.
"When have we ever needed backup?" Connor asked, smirking and thinking about the time he convinced her that they didn't need back-up to take on the evil White Ranger. "Why don't we just morph, and kick their butts instead?"
Kira smiled back a beautiful smile in Connor's eyes, also recalling their misguided attempt to stop the White Ranger once and for all.
"Yeah. I like that better." Kira replied.
"Dino Thunder Power Up Ha." Kira announced, a little louder than she should have.
"Well this just keeps getting better." Connor muttered, seeing the Banes turn to their location. He pulled on the red ski mask Dr. Oliver had given him and ran out in front of Kira. His time on the Bane world with Josh helped him adjust his fighting style to accommodate fighting the specialized villains of TyraTriTera. He kicked, jabbed, and rolled at super speed, using his limited connection to the far away dino gem sparingly.
Kira came through guns blazing, using her Ptera Grip as a secondary weapon for close quartered attacks.
"Red!" Kira yelled, blasting a few Banes that were trying to follow the leader into the house. Kira chucked the Thundermax Blaster to the red ranger, who grabbed it an dsped off to protect his mom.
"Tell me where your son is lady... or you'll regret it." The Gold Plated Bane said with a hint of cliche.
"Eric's not home, can I take a message?" Connor said, zipping in between his mother and the Bane.
"And you would be?"
"Your ultimate end." Connor stated, blasting the Bane through the foyer and crashing through the glass window that led to the front yard. Connor helped his mom up, "You have to get to safety."
"Connor?" She asked, recognizing her son's voice.
"Go!" Connor yelled, covering her from a saber strike with his own body. "Ahh!" Connor fell to the ground, raising the blaster in his hand at the swarming Banes and setting the mode to repeating.
It took Kira a minute to fight through the Banes, but with Super Dino Mode it got done a lot quicker. Mrs. Mcknight refused to leave her son's side, making things difficult but understandable.
Kira managed to fight her way to the injured ranger, who got up on his own power, not allowing his mom to help him.
"I'll be fine." Connor told them both.
"We need to get her to safety." Kira said, pointing to the civilian.
"Agreed, but the base is out of question. We're too overpopulated as it is."
"We need somewhere safe." Kira mused, trying to think of somewhere on the fly.
"Trent Mercer's house?"
Kira thought about it. It could work, Trent's identity hadn't been compromised yet... they'd have to try.
Kira got onto the Raptor cycle her and Connor had taken here together. Connor helped his mom onto the bike but didn't have enough room to squeeze on.
"Can you call yours?" Kira asked.
Connor raised his empty wrist and shook his head. "Try to keep up."
Before Kira could question him, Connor sped away via dino gem superspeed.
...
TyraTriTera did not take the news very well.
"You're saying you had the yellow... AND THE RED RANGER and you let them get away?"
The gold plated Bane nodded wiht his head down. "I'm sorry master..."
A burst of blackened energy obliterated the Bane.
"Fool!" TTT muttered, throwing the prototype blaster to the side.
He walked over to the edge of his newly fortified base of operations and wondered if Sleeto had retrieved the information on the other rangers identities.
"My lord." Sleeto said, appearing rapidly. "I have completed the mission."
TTT smiled slyly, like an obedient dog indeed.
Sleeto keyed in a few commands onto the big computer.
The computer chimed, bringing up pictures of dozens of teenagers beside a color and special designation of era.
"Jason Scott: Red Mighty Morphing Ranger. Billy Cranston: Blue Mighty Morphing Power Ranger." The list went all the way down until it reached the final five, "Connor McKnight Red Dino Thunder. Kira Ford Yellow Dino Thunder. Ethan James Blue Dino Thunder. Trent Mercer White Dino Thunder. Thomas Oliver Black Dino Thunder. Joshua Hart/Scott Emerald Dino Thunder."
"At long last... the revolutionaries are in hand." TTT stated, looking at the screen which gave him a bird's eye view of the captive rangers. "Send elite squadrons to the home of each member of Dino Thunder."
"As you command my lord."
Things in Reefside were definitely getting serious.
TTT took a walk to the center of the base where he kept the most diabolical part of his plan hidden from even the strongest and most loyal members of his crew. He pressed his palm to the door, unveiling the secrets within.
There was rock there... to an unobservant eye it would seem like nothing more than a boulder. But to a scientist, such as Mesogog and Anton Mercer, it was the crown jewel of all finds on the planet. It was the very meteor that wiped out the dinosaur population. Mesogog found, and hid it for later use once he realized it was difficult, if not impossible, to procure its power without direct access to missing pieces of the meteor.
TyraTriTera placed the newly retrieved Emerald where it belonged in the meteor, smirking at its faint glow. The radiation in the area would have killed any reptile, but TyraTriTera still had a piece of Lothor trapped inside his essence. So as long as the two were merged, as Mesogog and Anton Mercer once were (although TTT does have significantly more control over his transmutations) , the rock could not bother him as it did Mesogog once the two were separated.
The Ruby gleamed in delight to have found the other Dino Stone, to have a companion. There were two other Dino Gems that did not blow apart upon entry into Earth's orbit, but TyraTriTera would never dare use them as Mesogog wished too. The powers were too inherently good to be used directly. They would have to be harnessed as an energy source to work for a force of evil.
There was another thing the Dino Thunder did not know:
For as long as the meteor existed, its radiation only fueled TyraTriTera's army. There would be no end of the Bane's entry into this universe if this meteor existed forever.
TyraTriTera walked towards the door and sensed a visitor.
"Tsk tsk." TyraTriTera clicked his reptilian tongue, his arm shooting out and grabbing a un-morphed white ranger around the throat. "How unfortunate Mr. Mercer." TTT mused, "You fail to get the girl... and you fail more to get the villain."
TyraTriTera threw him into the wall, lifting Trent back up with just his mind.
"Ahh! Dino...Thunder!" He groaned, trying to reach the button that would save his life.
"Perhaps...no." Trent flew across the room on the whim of his rival, out cold from the hit.
"And now I have a gem. Tell your doctor, if you see him again, that I appreciate his efforts to help me." TyraTriTera grabbed Trent's morpher and placed the gem into the rock that would serve his ultimate plan. He grabbed Trent by the foot and dragged him to the prison hold, chucking him in without consideration. "Play nicely." He said coldly.
Well another chapter, another day in life. Thank you for reading, please review, favorite, and whatever else it is you do. :) The next chapter will be in a week or two, maybe a couple of days depending on what goes on in the not-so-interesting life of Gyotso the fanfiction writer with no life.
Thanks again!
