This is the second age of this series, by "age" I mean a major difference to the characters/plot/genre, the plot is definitely different, and the characters? You'll have to see!

Yet again, this might not be the last time this happens, but I should hope I don't have a massive freaking gap in time of this story.

There may be a lot of things you don't understand in this part, but I'm sure if you use your skull meat, you'll pull through. Now come on! Let's go!

Chapter 28

Dawn of a new age

*Portal room, 2nd age of proclamation, year 67. Midnight

The portal opened, three figures jumped through, sweepers in hand. All of them wore black sets of clothing with their hoods over their heads. They scanned the area, when they were content no one was around they relaxed, one looked furthermore, they removed their hood. It was Blinx. "No one!" he yelled, the other two removed their hoods. One was Sketx and the other was Kevin. Sketx pulled out a device and focused on it. Blinx walked partially into the portal and back out again.

"Hmm, it seems as if we're safe." Sketx confirmed.

Kevin felt a tear roll down his cheek. He wished for the ordeal to be over quickly. He felt Blinx's hand on his shoulder. "Hold up your head big guy." Blinx said consolingly, even though Kevin was a few inches shorter and was skinnier. "You'll take your piece of victory out of tyranny soon."

"I'm not fighting for destroying tyranny… I'm fighting for what I lost, should I say, who I lost." Kevin pulled his head into his chest and sighed heavily, when he lifted his head back up, he was nearly crying. "She's gone Blinx, Katherine's gone, and I didn't do anything to save her…." At that moment, another figure walked through, she looked like Katherine, apart from her fur was purple now, instead of a creamy white and her fringe covered her right eye.

"The room is secure." Blinx said after he walked up to her.

"Good, our window's closing quick." She replied, her voice was slightly lower than Katherine's.

"Guards are around patrolling outside." Sketx added.

"I'm starting to think the CEO actually has nine lives." Blinx remarked.

"Well make sure he hasn't a tenth or everyone will be dead." She quickly replied.

"Things are looking against our odds Kathy." Kevin said. She walked over to him, very much like she was going to rip his face off, Kevin doubled down in fear, and she was an entire foot (30cm) taller than Kevin.

"I. AM NOT. KATHY!" She yelled as she upper-cut Kevin in the stomach, he jumped an inch and fell to the floor; he whimpered and rocked in pain. "THE KATHERINE YOU KNOW IS DEAD!" she exclaimed as she kicked him with no remorse. "I AM SCAR!" she yelled as she picked him up by the ankle and tossed him to the other side of the room. She walked up to him, squatted down and whispered in his ear: "and I am not the partner of some short, skinny, runt." She walked away just as Kevin began to cry silently in sheer fear that she would harm him more.

Upon watching the entire scenario, Blinx kissed his teeth and shook his head. "Katherine's gone Blinx." Sketx calmly stated.

"She isn't, she's-" Scar quickly turned and walked straight between them, he and Sketx came closer. "Okay, she's not Katherine, but she's in the same body." Blinx whispered as they were right next to each other.

"Hmm, I agree, but she's been traumatized by that false knave known as the CEO."

"Is it trauma? Or is it that she's possessed?"

"Blinx! You can't just say that!"

"Can't say what?"

"Ugh!" Sketx groaned as he walked away.

"So, what exits are available?" Scar asked.

"Door's foolish, too many guards, bottom air shaft is riddled with drones." Sketx replied.

"Hmm, there's no way!" Scar pointed out. Kevin got up from the floor. His tears dried and he looked riddled with anger. But Scar didn't notice. Instead she swayed her head backwards to sweep her hair out her right eye; it was a cyborg's eye. She took a second to scan the room, all exits were blocked. The hair fell back into place.

"Scar! Look!" Blinx pointed to an air shaft up at the ceiling, it was far up. They readied their sweepers, pointed up to above the shaft pushed a button and a grappling hook shot out of all their sweepers, they added that as a detachable mod. They pulled themselves up, at their peak. Guard sweepers walked in.

"I swear we heard something!" one said.

"Easy now, this room's empty" the other replied.

"I guess you're right." He confirmed as they wondered out. The four above returned to their duties. Scar undid the screws around the vent and removed it, she handed it to Kevin, he struggled to hold it, but managed to hold on. Scar entered the vent and detached the hook, soon followed by Blinx, Sketx and lastly Kevin. Yet as he entered, his hands stuttered, and he dropped the cover, he quickly got in the shaft and unhooked his sweeper. It hit the floor with a loud metal *CLANG!* guard sweepers flooded in the room, yet remained oblivious to the vent high in the wall. Scar faced Kevin with more intent to hurt.

"What the hell was that?!" Scar whispered.

"I'm sorry, it just slipped!"

"Well be more careful next time!"

"Alright! I'm sorry!" Kevin said in defence.

"Hey, kits? We have a mission!" Blinx reminded.

"I know! Ugh, just get to it!" Scar finished
