Chapter Twenty – one: Those who choose the wrong side…-
Location: Central Plaza
Time: 6:30 PM
Oh dear. Haruka Nanami was now lost in the crowd. Asami was nowhere to be seen, since she was somewhere else with the Hitachiin twins, Kyoya, and Tamaki. Five minutes before the whole incident, Nanami had arrived at the Central Plaza with EKSTASIS and STARISH for the annual 'worship – the – goddess' festival. But once she heard the 'tsu don tsu don' sounds of the Katsugi drums coming from a distance, she became lost among the crowd. She quickly searched her yellow handbag, which matched the color of her yukata, for her cell phone. No luck. She had left her cell phone on top of the coffee table back in her assigned cabin. She sighed, how could she have been such a fool in forgetting to place her cell phone into her handbag, before coming to the Plaza. For now she only had a few bills and coins in her handbag for spending at the festival.
"Otoya did say that he would be with Masumi at a game stall…-if there is one," Nanami thought making her way through the crowd, "I should have no problems in finding them."
She was wrong. A couple minutes later, she found her way to the ancient temple, which was built in honor of Goddess Lestia. Orange festival lanterns lighting up the area, hung by metal poles, which were stuck in the ground. The area was half deserted with only one or three stalls set up, selling cold drinks or cheap trinkets. An ancient temple still standing after so many centuries can be pretty impressive to see up close. Nanami touched one of the white stone pillars. Clearly fascinated by the texture and the height. Nanami entered one of the dimly lite tombs, only to be blocked by two males, both dressed casually. By their appearances, Nanami guessed that they were foreign tourists. The taller male stepped forward smiling. In a way his expression was…- creepy.
"~Hey pretty lady, would you like to hang out with us?"
Alcohol. Nanami smelled it right away. She took a step backwards, squeezing the handle of her handbag tightly, ready to use it as a weapon. The male stepped forward once more; a smirk was across his face.
"N-no thank you… um…- my friends are…-"
"Oh come on, don't be like that," Said the other male giving a wink, "You should hang out with us. Keep us company pretty lady."
"Sorry…- I have business to attend too," Nanami quickly rushed her words, a chill running down her spine.
"One drink is all we ask," The taller male instantly grabbed Nanami by her wrist, tugging her forward.
Nanami's eyes widen in fear, "Please…- I… need…-"
She struggled with the male, trying to get free from his grip. No. It couldn't be happening at this time. She didn't want to be taken advantage of by two males who were intoxicated. Nanami screamed out loud, only to have her mouth covered by the shorter male. Her handbag fell to the ground in the process. She kicked the male who had a hold of her, right between the legs. That took him off guard only for a moment though. He raised his hand ready to slap her, suddenly out of nowhere a red high heel hit the back of his head.

"Tama-kun, your already trembling with fear," Said Asami. She was standing beside Kyoya viewing a wall of the temple decorated with what seemed to be Egyptian hieroglyphics, "Why don't you leave with the twins? We'll meet you back in the plaza."
"My lovely Siren, I can't leave you!" Exclaimed Tamaki from a dark corner of the temple, "What will happen if the both of you get lost within this heavenly temple?! The twins and I must…- eh…- the twins have disappeared! Mommy, send out a search party for our darling sons!"
"Tamaki, don't worry. Those two are probably already down at the plaza," Said Kyoya holding a flashlight, which brightened up the temple wall, "But we've spent enough time here, since the president is scared we'll head back to the festival."
"Oh that's too bad," Asami sighed in disappointment, "I was hoping to see more of the temple."
"Well then, I could show you a short cut…-"
A scream echoed throughout the whole temple. Asami froze instantly from the sudden cry. Kyoya's glasses seemed to flash being secretly frightened, while Tamaki continued to cower in the dark corner, mumbling about a ghost.
"Um…- maybe it would be a great idea for that shortcut," Asami walked quickly behind Kyoya, who walked in the direction to where the scream had emitted from.
"This is not a good idea!" Tamaki wailed [arms flailing frantically], "What if a ghost pops out?!"
"No one has died in this temple," Kyoya switched off the flashlight, since they were now in an area of the temple illuminated by a few orange lanterns, "The only ghosts that we'll see will be in horror movies. This way Asami, watch your step the floor is quite slippery."
Asami continued to follow Kyoya and Tamaki until she took one wrong step, only to land on her bum.
"Ouch…- really slippery," Asami took off her red heels before rubbing her right ankle, "I've should've been more careful."
"My lovely Siren, are you alright?" Asked Tamaki, helping Asami stand up.
"I'm fine. Just took a wrong step."
"Your words are like sweet nectar upon my ears," Tamaki's violet eyes sparkled, "A lovely Siren should not walk upon the damp floor in her bare feet. Here, let me…-"
Kyoya hit Tamaki with the flashlight. Instantly a huge lump started to form on the top of Tamaki's head.
"You shall do no such thing, Tamaki. Asami is not yours to carry," Kyoya smirked.
"Oyy! No one will be carrying me!" Asami crossed her arms in anger, "I can walk. I don't need any help."
Kyoya stepped forward, forcing Asami to back up instinctively, "My dear Siren. I think you do."
"Kyo-kun…- I'm warning you. Don't step any closer!" Asami raised one of her red high heels, "If you do…oyy!"

"Where the fuck did this come from?!" Shouted the taller male, before kicking Asami's red high heel away.
"Bro, I don't think we're the only ones in this temple," Said the other male who still had his hand over Nanami's mouth.
"Your right. Bring the lady along with...-"
"No way bro!"
"Listen, we're not leaving the temple without her! After we have a little fun, we'll make sure to dispose of her afterwards," Smirked the taller male.
Nanami was bound and gagged quickly by the taller male, before he heaved her over his right shoulder. Tears were already streaming down the side of her cheeks. She closed her eyes, all the while struggling; she hoped someone would save her from this horrific nightmare.

"Well, what a shock. We were in search for a red high heel, instead we come across an unpleasant sight occurring right before our very eyes," Kyoya smirked, pushing those slim rimless glasses up on the bridge of his nose.
I did aim the wrong way. It was a good thing that I did. Too bad for the two males who chose to assault Nanami-chan. Disgusting bastards. ~ Ah, but soon those two will get what they deserve. Cornered already by the demon lord.
"Let the young lady go or else…-"
Whoa, who knew that Tamaki could be so serious?!
"You want to fight?!" Snarled the male, who was carrying Nanami-chan.
Oh boy…- that dropped the bomb. Tamaki charged at the male ready to strike. The other male took hold of Nanami-chan by her wrists. Bound and gagged?! Not my cup of tea. I took the chance to strike, when Kyoya reached out for Nanami-chan. I did what Yuudai had always taught me to do in a situation like this. Raise fist. Aim for throat. Then tally it off with the eyes.
"ARGH!"
Excellent. I smiled, Tamami was also victorious, and already his opponent was clutching a bloody nose. Kyoya had managed to get Nanami's wristed and legs untied. Such a relief. Now I think a deportation order is ready for those who chose to harm my manager.

"Here my lovely princess, have a sip of this," Said Tamaki handing Nanami a cold drink can, which he bought from a nearby stall.
"Thank you, Suoh-kun," Nanami smiled.
"Are you feeling better, princess?"
"Yes. I'm fine now. The two who assaulted…-"
"Now don't worry my lovely princess. They were taken away by security. Asami and Kyoya made sure that the offenders would be departed…right away from this island," Chuckled Tamaki, "A male shouldn't force a female by taking advantage of her."
Nanami blushed under the gaze of Tamaki's violet eyes, including the fact that he looked handsome in the dark purple yukata that he was wearing. However, he did have a way with words more than his actions. Nanami pressed the cold drink can against her left cheek, trying to cool down.
"Um…- we should meet up with the rest of the group."
"Your right princess…- ah, don't get up so quickly… - let me carry you. After all a princess should be carried by a prince."

"Oh dear, Tama-chan is already disliked by STARISH," Chi said looking over a few masks set upon a table, "Haruka-chan is pretty positive to not let that whole incident bring her down."
"Maybe that's why Yuudai chose her to be Asami's temporary manager. Haruka-chan has the ability to move the hearts of others around her. She even focuses on what's ahead in the future, rather than sticking to the past," Masumi said.
"It's a good thing. She's loved by those around her."
Masumi rolled his eyes, taking a bite out of his sweet yam bread. Corny lines. Ugh…- he hated it whenever Chi reeked out lines that were just to…- cheesy.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever, I'll catch up with you later."
"Hey, where are you going?!"
"To buy more of this bread!"
Masumi walked past the Hitachiin twins both were teasing [poking more likely] Tamaki as usual. The collection of mushrooms was growing bigger. In front of the Central Plaza water fountain, Haruka and STARISH were getting their pictures taken along with the rest of EKSTASIS. Kyoya had no problem being the assigned cameraman, since his main focus was on photographing Asami. Fireworks instantly lite up the night sky.

Asami walked down the white cobblestone path, making her way back to her assigned cabin. She was tired since it had only been a few minutes since she had came from Yuudai's cabin. He nearly freaked out from the sight of the bruise on her right hand. Only the explanation of what had happened back at the temple [from Kyoya] calmed the Chinese scion down, preventing him from breaking a vase. Asami sighed; at least Yuudai was trying to control his temper. Too much had happened in the past few hours, she was in need of relaxation. Odd. Why was Masato standing in front of the cabin, which she currently shared with Chi? Aside from the fact he looked like a trespasser, peeking in through one of the windows.
"Uh…- Masato, security might place you in the holding cell if you keep that up," Asami frowned before crossing her arms.
The blue – haired pianist turned around, slightly startled, aside from the fact a shade of red was dusting his cheeks, "A-asami…- oh…- uh, I rang the doorbell. But Chi's not answering even though she's inside. I thought that m-maybe you were in."
"The Aoi Vixen is probably in the shower or has her earphones at full volume," Asami said before unlocking the cabin door with her passkey.
The two entered the living room instantly spotting Chi with her back turned to them, earphones plugged in at full blast into her laptop. Chi was bobbing her head up and down to the music, without a care in the world…- even to her surroundings.
"Second guess is always right," Asami sighed.
Masato sweat dropped, "Shouldn't we interrupt before she destroys her eardrums?"
"Don't bother," Asami shook her head, "She's in her own little world. She won't be out of it until she feels like it."
"Oh…- I see."
Asami chuckled, "Aside breaking eardrums, what brings you here?"
"Nothing much," Masato averted his eyes from Asami, "I just came to see how you were doing."
"I'm fine, Masato. But I'm not the victim here," Asami smiled, "You should check up on Nanami-chan…- after what she almost went though."
"Nanami-chan…- ah, well," Masato slightly smiled, "Never mind. I'll see you tomorrow. Good night."
"Good night to you too, Masato," Asami said before closing the cabin door.
Masato sighed, seriously when he wanted to say something to Asami it couldn't clearly be expressed to her. She thought well of Nanami-chan. Masato headed back to his cabin, passing Ren who had exited the bathroom from a daily shower. The pianist was frustrated with himself, if only he had the courage to express his feelings to Asami, without acting like a bumbling fool. He pulled out a small jewelry box from the sleeve of his blue yukata, opening it, revealing a red dolphin necklace pendant. He sighed, if only the timing had been right, the enchanting siren would have accepted the present.
