I do not own Doctor Who or Burn Notice.

It all started as a normal day. In fact it was a nice spring day, the first worm day since they had got to Ireland, so Fiona decided it would be fun to take Charlie out to a nearby field to pick wildflowers.

Which, as anyone who had read Greek mythology, or folktales can tell you, when a maiden goes off picking flowers , something bad is going to happen.

In this case, the bad thing involved an outer space war lord who had parked his arm some way off. He was taking his army one Galaxy over and had stopped here to refuel his ships, and check his inventory. He was looking through his telescope, making sure that no one saw them, when he spotted Fiona, picking up a handful of pink flowers. He instantaneously taken with her. To put it mildly. "Oh, what beautiful woman," He thought, and use to getting his way, jumped to, "I will woo her, and claim her for my bride." Having decided that, he put his second-in-command in charge until he returned, and took off in a small ship.

"What are you making there, Charlie?" Fiona asked, noticing that Charlie had tied several while flower into a circle.

"A crown," Charlie answered.

"Oh," Fiona said, "Well, it's very pretty."

Then Charlie reached out in put the crown on Fiona's head. "It's for you," He said, "You're queen, Aunt Fiona."

Fiona laughed as she adjusted the crown so it was out of her face, resting around her dark hair. "And who are you? The king?" She asked.

"I guess," Charlie replied.

Fiona chuckled. "Well," She said, "You need a crown too, then."

As she began to braid the flowers together, there was the sound of engines overhead. Fiona looked up a saw a deep grey circle flying in the sky. "What the-" She began, but then the unidentified flying object started to get closer to them, and she quickly prioritized. She quickly stood up, picked up Charlie, and ran for it. The ship pursued them across the field. Fiona was fast, but it was quickly gaining on them. "What does it want?" She though, her adrenaline pumping as she ran across the field. Suddenly she felt something grab onto her, the tips of it poking into her sides as it wrapped around her. She felt herself being pulled into the air. She wiggled against the metal claw she could make out around her body, but all she managed to do was lose her grip on Charlie, and the little boy fell out of her arms and quickly descended down. "Charlie!" She cried out, but could only watch helplessly as he fell to Earth, screaming.

Or rather, he would have fell to the Earth, and probably would have perished, had it not been for the impeccable timing of the arms of the man who caught him. Tears streaming down his face, Charlie looked into the face of his savoir.

"Hello, little one," The Doctor said.
