A/N: Ok, I need to explain this story… I had the big bang theory on the brain while writing this. I see Steve as the Howard character, Max as Sheldon, Charlie as Lenard, and Chin as Raj, which leaves Danny to be Penny… heehee… but its so nerdy and fun I hope you like it. Bowling anyone?

Me and My Gang

Danny walked into Steve's house, dressed down in jeans and a t-shirt, for what he was hoping was going to be an uneventful bowling night. Yes, bowling, Steve hand challenged a group of the IA guys to a bowl off, to which Danny replied with a palm to face motion and then agreed to head up the Five-O team with Steve. Jenna and Kono had outright refused to go bowling, they must have seen something else in the mischief in Steve's eyes, but Danny was his partner, Danny had his back, Danny would go.

Danny found Steve in the kitchen two frosty beer bottles already in his hands as he sported a bright gaudy blue Hawaiian shirt with white hibiscus flowers all over it and country music blaring on the radio.

"What the hell are you wearing?" Danny asked as Steve handed him the beer.

"Bowling uniform," Steve smiled, "you gotta have one when you have a team as good as ours."

"I am not wearing that!" Danny said and pointed at the monstrosity of a shirt.

"You've got to or you're not on the team," Steve stated.

"You and me, we are the team!" Danny grumbled.

"I got us back up," Steve smiled as he heard someone else at the door and pulled a third beer out of the fridge just as Charlie Fong rounded the corner in a matching shirt.

"Where's your shirt?" Charlie asked as he looked at Danny.

"I am not wearing that!" Danny hissed.

"Not on the team if you don't wear the shirt!" Charlie said cheersed with Steve and took a swig of his beer.

"See Danno, you have to wear the shirt." Steve said, walked around the kitchen counter and out into his living room, then came back moments later with a matching shirt for Danny.

"Whose idea was this?" Danny asked as he heard another person enter the room.

"Social protocol dictates that when participating in team sports a jersey or team colour, boost team moral by ninety per cent," Max Bergmen said as he walked into the room wearing a matching shirt proudly. "Also, it helps in differentiating your social group from others when in a situation where you may fall victim to over consumption, as the mind is more likely to recognize colours and patterns over faces in an inebriated state."

"Means; if you get drunk, you'll know who's gonna get you home safely rather then ending up dead in a dumpster because you passed out with the wrong group of people." Charlie joked. "Trust me, I've seen it many, many times."

"You don't know what we see as first responders," Max stated and high fived Charlie.

"Most of the time these yahoo's don't even get called out to our cases!" Charlie said to Max as the door opened once more, somewhere off in the distance.

"I'm guessing the last member of your gang is arriving?" Danny asked, the gaudy shirt still resting in his hand.

"Aloha boys! Who's ready to kick some IA ass tonight?" Chin asked as he walked in proudly sporting the Hawaiian shirt.

"Why does it look so good on you?" Danny asked annoyed.

"Because I'm Hawaiian and proud of it," Chin answered.

"Don't we look unified?" Steve smiled as stood among the group of bowlers.

"We are so getting our asses handed to us tonight," Danny sighed as he downed the remainder of his beer and demanded a second.

"I'll have you know, I've never bowled a game under three hundred before," Max stated.

"He's not only a genius in the lab, and a virtuoso at the piano, this man can bowl!" Charlie stated, "And he takes it very seriously."

"We are going to win!" Steve smiled, "put the shirt on Danny, and let's go. We're taking the marquise."

"Good," Danny said, rolled his eyes, and slipped on the shirt.

"You're giving in that easily?" Steve asked shocked at the sudden change in Danny's demeanor.

"No, I just know the Marquise wont get us to the bowling alley and at least this time you have three other people to push it up the high way, and this gaudy shirt may mean that we get spotted on the side of the road and rescued in the dark," Danny smiled, "so come on gang, let's roll!" he said emphatically with sarcasm and led the way out of Steve's house.
