Hey Guys! Long time...no chapter eh? So sorry...been so busy. Anyway here is the next chapter... enjoy.

Alec P.O.V

Alec sat in the stinking truck, surrounded by men around his age. The canvas cover of the truck flapped as they drove down the road. The truck reeked of vomit, sweat and waste. The people inside the truck were silent. Despite being surrounded by men, Alec had never felt so alone. The truck bumped along the road. The driver was having no care for the passengers in the back. Alec was sure he was making sure to run over all of the potholes in the road.

Alec had been sitting in the same position for three hours. The wooden floor was hard and the lumpy surface of the truck was pressing uncomfortably in his back. There were about 15 men in the truck. Some were snoring, others were sobbing quietly, others were making no noise at all. Alec tried to stand up on his stiff legs. Pain shot up them, he gave a groan and collapsed onto the ground. He caught a glimpse of the night sky though the canvas. He pulled himself over to the edge of the truck and lifted the corner of the canvas. The road they were driving on was dusty and there was nothing but sand in sight. The sky however was filled with sparkling stars. He flopped his legs over the side of the truck and gazed into the glittering sky. He thought of Magnus, he missed him so much. He was sorry for storming off. He knew now what Magnus was trying to protect him against. How he wished he could be folded into Magnus's warm arms, instead of sitting on the edge of a smelly, noisy, bumpy enemy truck. He wondered if Magnus, Cupcake and Spoon were looking for him. He swore he saw a flash of creamy brown skin. But he figured it was just a figment of his imagination. As the truck flew down the road, Alec let a small tear run down his face.

Alec had watched the sunrise come up over the horizon. It would have ben quite beautiful if he had not been in the situation he was in. The sky was filled with pink and orange and yellow. If he was an artist, he would have painted it. Alec pointed his toes like he used to when he danced with Izzy. It had been such a long time since he had danced. The truck slowed and stopped. Big guards in fancy black jackets and face masks appeared in Alec's view. They told everyone to get out of the truck and have a walk around, but if they tried to run away…. they would have to take… certain measures. Alec was wondering what that meant when he saw the glimmer of a gun on one of the soldier's belts. He understood. Alec jumped out of the truck and collapsed when his weak, stiff legs hit the ground. He picked himself up gingerly and slowly walked around, stretching out his legs. The guards had formed a large circle around the truck. So there was no way out. Alec couldn't see anywhere to run to either. The next town would be days away…maybe even weeks. Some of the other prisoners were passing around bottles of water and mushy fruit. Alec grabbed a bottle and took a small sip. It tasted warm and horrible, but not quite as bad as the dry, dusty feeling in his mouth, and his burning throat. Some men tried to come and talk to Alec, but he just stood in silence, watching the horizon for some sign of Magnus, for his hero. Fifteen minutes later, they were called back into the trucks. Alec regained his sitting spot. The truck rumbled to a start. Alec lay his head on the side of the truck and let the sleep take over.
