A/N: Hey. How are you doing? You all look supermegafoxyawesomehot. Anyone gets that reference, I'll give you a virtual cookie. Anyway, I'm not sure how many chapters this arc is going to be, but I really liked the idea. In fact, I still really like the idea. Hope you do too!

North was pacing anxiously. The Guardians should arrive any minute, but that did nothing to ease his mind. What was this world coming to? First Pitch and now this? The yetis were all talking to each other in their gibberish and the elves were trying to give North cookies, but he was so lost in thought, he almost ran over them.

Bunny was the first to arrive. "This better not be just another get together," he grumbled.

"Of course not. No jokes. This is serious."

Sandy flew in the window, a worried look on his face. "?"

"Not sure. Big man over here just keeps pacing," Bunny replied. North ignored both of them. What was taking the girls so long? Nothing had happened to them right? He was especially worried about Jack. Was she in Burgess? Had she left for some reason?

As if on cue, both female Guardians flew in. "Sorry, Wind got a little carried away and almost took out Tooth," Jack explained. " I had go chase her down. Almost took ten minutes." She looked a little embarrassed.

North looked at Jack. "Where were you?"

She shrugged. "I was at Tooth palace for the day. Why?"

"Because we have trouble in Burgess. Big trouble." He paused and looked at each Guardian, mostly for dramatic effect. "Time seems to have stopped."

Bunny coughed. "I'm sorry, could you repeat that? Did you just say that time is stopped in Burgess?" At North's nod, he threw up his hands. "That's not possible! The only one that has control over time is Tock, and he'd never mess with time like that."

"Who's Tock?" Jack asked. Sandy gave her a bunch of pictures above his head, trying to explain. "Sandy, slow down. Mind repeating that?"

Tooth interrupted. "Tock is, well I guess you could call him a time spirit but he isn't exactly a spirit at all. He's older than all of us, older than even Manny. And he basically is time itself." Her eyes twinkled. "He's a bit of a trickster sometimes. He makes time seem fast when people don't want it to be fast and time seem slow when people want it to go fast. But he is still responsible. He wouldn't cause trouble like this."

"Then what would? Or, I think the better question is, what could? Who has power over time other than Tock?" Bunny asked.

North stroked his beard. "That I don't know. But perhaps…"

Before he could finish, the Moon started shining brightly over the workshop. "Wait, what is it Manny?"

Jack tried hard to listen, but she couldn't hear Manny speak. Frustrated, she froze one of the elves and started eating the cookies it had been holding.

North's eyes grew wide. "It's not possible!"

"What isn't?" Jack tuggedon his sleeve. "North?"

He glanced at her as if just remembering that the others were in the room. "Manny says that a piece of one of Tock's time crystals has been stolen!"

All the other Guardians gasped. Except for Jack, who was starting to feel really annoyed that she was the only one that didn't know what was going on. "What's a time crystal?"

Tooth explained, "Tock has a crystal for every time zone in the world. It's the reason that certain places have different time zones. Those places just follow the time that the crystal says. If part of the crystal is missing, than time would just stop."

"Someone must have taken the part of the crystal that leads Burgess's time," Bunny guessed.

"Manny says that Tock is currently trying to find the missing piece," North said.

"We should help him. Look for clues around Burgess. I mean, there must be a reason why whoever took the crystal piece to freeze only there," Jack suggested.

Sandy nodded and gave Jack a thumbs up.

"Alright. To the sleigh!"

"Oh, wonderful."

Clearly Tock was still playing his usual tricks, because the sleigh ride seemed to last an eternity, in Bunny's opinion. He practically fell out when they landed.

He looked up when he heard Jack's panicked voice. "Jamie? Jamie, can you hear me? Come on kid, move!" She was waving her hand in front of the boy's face. Jamie was frozen in a running position. He had a smile on his face, but he wasn't moving an inch. Jack reached out to pull on his arm, but North grabbed her and held her back.

"Do not touch them. We do not wish to interfere with time."

Bunny stared at little Sophie who was running a little bit in front of Jamie. He hair was sticking straight out at the back, showing that she had been running to. He turned and looked at the other Guardians. "We need to find some way to reverse this."

He saw someone's head whips around. It was Jack. She looked confused. "Guys, do you feels that?"

"Feel what?" Tooth asked.

"I'm not sure. I think it's coming from my pond." She started flying. Sandy made some signs to call her back, but then realized that she couldn't hear him. The Guardians ran to follow Jack. The girl landed next to her pond and looked around. She waited impatiently for the other Guardians to catch up.

"There is something right here. Something that feels…familiar, yet wrong." She started walking towards the middle of her pond.

"You're not making any sense, Sweet Tooth," Tooth gently informed her.

"Come on, Frostbite, you sound more mad than usual."

Ignoring all of them, Jack continued to walk forward. "It's right in front of me, I can feel it."

Unknown to her, she took one more step and ended up standing in the exact spot where she had fallen through the ice all those years ago. In the flash of a moment, her eyesight went white and her entire world disappeared.

What happened? Leave me a review if you have a guess. It should be fairly obvious. But first person to guess right gets a virtual cookie as well. Hopefully next chapter will be a bit shorter.
