28- Next, the Future!

"Where are they?" Zeshin pouted as he walked beside Trunks.

The lavender-haired man sighed, resisting the urge to smack his friend. "How many times do you have to be told? They're in their classroom, waiting for us."

"Let's hurry," Bulla said, sliding between the two males. She was excited to see her friends, and slightly anxious to see Goten, who was waiting with both of the girls. They had been talking for a while, and both of them had confessed to liking each other... Now she was just waiting for Goten to ask her on an official date. Maybe she would break the modern trend and ask him out first instead; that never hurt.

Bulla opened the classroom door, smiling when she saw Pan and Suzu leaning against the counters by the window, wearing their uniforms for the last time. Goten, who was leaning against his desk smiled a smile that was only for her, and she felt her cheeks heating and her chest tightening.

"Move," Trunks pushed her to the side.

"Hey!" She snapped, restraining herself from stomping her foot. She sped past him, reaching Pan- and Suzu- faster than him and Zeshin. She hugged the girls tightly, kissing both of their cheeks. "I'm so happy for you two! I can't believe it's already graduation!"

"Thanks," the girls beamed.

"Stop smothering them," Trunks pried her away from the girls, before hugging Pan tightly. He lifted her off the ground, causing her to shriek with laughter.

Zeshin grabbed Suzu, sobbing dramatically as she blushed in embarrassment.

"You're taking this amazingly well," Bulla comment towards Goten as she leaned beside him.

He breathed in deeply, crossing his arms. "I'm not going to lie, it's hard seeing her all grown up," he casted a glance to Pan, who smiled at him. "But, I know she's ready for anything that comes her way."

"Hey, Nii-San, tell Trunks and Zeshin about mine and Suzu's scores!" Pan beamed. Trunks casted a look at her, an eyebrow raised as the corner of his lips curved.

Goten smiled, "Pan and Suzu made the highest scores in the grade..."

"Ha!" Pan looked at Trunks, smiling brightly.

"It's only because I taught you so well," he told her, smiling proudly.

"Hear that?" Suzu nudged Zeshin's ribs lightly.

"Yeah," he said as calmly as he could, forcing a smile. He heard it loud and clear.

"Looks like you boys have bets to own up to," Bulla told them. "Pan and Suzu worked really hard, I saw for myself."

"We sure did," Pan nodded towards Suzu.

"Okay you two," Goten spoke up, looking at the graduates. "Now that you're almost done with school, what are you going to do?" He held out a hand, like it had a microphone on it and pointed it towards Suzu.

"I was thinking about getting a part-time with Pan at the maid shop," she started.

"Alright!" Pan smiled.

"I also plan to start university."

"And, why are you going to university?" Goten asked.

"I'm going to become a Social Worker."

Zeshin smiled at her softly, and she smiled back. Ever since she found out she was adopted, she knew that she wanted to help other children find nice and caring homes as well.

"What about you, Pan-Chan?" Goten turned the invisible mic to her. "Are you planning to go to university?"

"That's the plan," she nodded.

"And what will you be in the future?"

"I'm going to be a professional author."

Trunks grinned, tightening his hold on her waist. Bulla jumped up, asking a million questions about her book.

"It's down here I swear!" A student yelled, running past the door.

"A bunch of third years have seen it down this hall, so it has to be true!" Another student yelled, running by with a group of three others.

"What are they doing?" Zeshin asked.

"Looking for the school ghost," Suzu told him.

"You're school has a ghost?" Bulla raised an eyebrow.

"So they say," Goten rolled his eyes. "I think it's just something a few third years started years ago to scare lower class men."

"Hm... What would you do if you ever met a ghost?" Trunks asked Pan.

She shrugged, "probably try to help it. You know what they say..."

"Huh?" He scrunched his eyebrows together. "What do they say?"

"If you help out a ghost, then you get a wish."

"A wish?" Trunks asked dully.

"Yes, a wish," Pan said seriously.

"It's something my dad always used to tell us," Goten added. "There's not telling if it's true."

"It is," Pan said stubbornly.

Goten rolled his eyes, leaning off the desk as he stuck his hands in his pockets. "Come on, let's get down there."

xXxXx

Bulla waited behind for Goten as he locked his door. He smiled at her, happy that she stayed behind just for him. He reached out his hand and she took it. Out the corner of his eye he saw Trunks looking over his shoulder at them, but the man didn't say anything as he turned back around and continued walking with Pan.

"Bulla," Goten spoke up softly, as to not gain the attention of the others in front of them. She looked up at him, her pink lips smiling and her blue curly hair bobbing in its ponytail. Goten felt his chest tighten at how cute she looked. "Do you want to go on a date with me?"

"Yes!" Bulla said immediately, making sure to keep her voice soft and low.

Goten laughed, scratching the back of his head. "Great! We can make plans after the ceremony."

"Yes!" She agreed, wrapping her free arm around his and holding him close as they continued walking.

"What exactly is that suppose to be...?"

"It's a spaceship!" Trunks said, devastated.

"Hm..." Pan continued to look at the picture. It was suppose to be a spaceship? It didn't look like one at all... More like a cactus...

"At least I didn't draw a bat!" Trunks looked at her creature.

"It's a butterfly!" Pan pouted.

Trunks looked at their artwork, a small frown starting to form on his face. "We suck at drawing," he stated bluntly.

"Yep," Pan agreed from beside him.
