Kagome huffed, blowing a stand of hair out of her face as women of all species fluttered around her, draping kimono after kimono on her. "Is this really necessary?" she turned to Sesshomaru who sat in the corner, an amused expression on his face…well in all actuality his face was blank and showed no emotion but after being with him so long she could see the little twitches of the muscles in his face, the micro expressions, and read his eyes. This came together to piss her off. "Why do I need a new kimono? Why can't I just wear something I already have!"
"Because Miko if left to your own devices you would arrive wearing your fighting gear and probably kill someone…again. This way I know you will not get into a fight for fear of staining such and expensive kimono with blood."
"I wouldn't have gotten into a fight anyways…I made a promise to not kill anyone tomorrow."
Sesshomaru looked at her skeptically while she mumbled something vaguely offensive under her breath, continuing to pout as they stripped yet another kimono off her telling her it didn't match her eyes well enough. It was another hour before they found the perfect one. The under kimono was a deep blue made out of this silk material that seemed to shift colors when she moved. It hung past her finger tips and brushed her ankles. The top layer was a soft grey, like a storm cloud, it was darker at the sleeves and hem and depicted rain with small birds flying through it. The obi was a deep black with blue undertones. Not only was it perfect but Kagome refused to put on another one and ushered all of the women out of the room, fixing Sesshomaru with a look.
"Thank you Sesshomaru…really thank you." She seemed like she was about to say more but instead walked over to the changing screens to put on some workout clothes. When she emerged Sesshomaru was nowhere to be found and Kagome made her way to the dojo to punch something…multiple times.
Sesshomaru watched Kagome from the doorway for a moment. She had wrapped her wrists in bandages and mumbled about not having wrist tape, then she had request someone fill a sack with sand and suspend it from the ceiling. He watched her as she bounced on the balls of her feet, back and forth, punching the bag. In one swing it burst and she just dragged another from the corner and put it in the busted ones place. This next one lasted longer.
"You want to try?" Kagome stood by the bag holding it still.
"I'll even make it challenging for you." What Sesshomaru felt was indescribable. A wave of power escaped her and wrapped the bag in a tight barrier. It didn't feel unlike Reiki but at the same time it was completely different…alien almost. Yet it held the distinct feel of Kagome. The energy was a brilliant green, like the forest mid spring, and carried with it the smell of rain grass.
"Miko…" she followed his gaze to the green energy and looked just as shocked at him.
"Oh no…what have I done?"
