Away from me

A/N: This chapter will contain visions. Also, a friend has requested a character of his to be put in, which I will happily do. Although, other chapters may be moved back because 1) Spring has started; 2) I get my braces off; and 3) My birthday is coming up.

Sandy's POV

"Mind tellin' me how and why y'all two are here?" I asked, looking at the sponge and starfish, who were sweatier than a pig in the middle of summer.

"Um, well, we might've…sent something here, and we need to, er, get it back." SpongeBob stammered, trying to seem innocent.

I sighed, rubbing my temples, asking, "What is it?"

"Um, it's big, scary, and…" He stopped, as if I could catch on. Suddenly remembering that giant worm we faced years ago, I shuddered.

"No way, Squarepants. There ain't no way I'm going after that thing again, I still have nightmares." I rejected, wondering where Patrick went to.

"Please, Sandy! It came back and it followed us to your treedome, and hit the button." He pleaded, clinging to my shirt sleeve.

"No, matter of fact I have a better idea." I stated, leading him outside. Seeing Shadow dodging Sonic's attacks, I waited until one of them pinned the other. The victor was Shadow, as expected.

Going over to us, he asked, "What is it, Female?"

I chuckled, answering, "SpongeBob, here, transported a giant worm to Mobius and since I can't do it, you wouldn't mind takin' it out for him?"

"You can do it yourself, I've trained you and so has Rosie."

"Yes, but…" I started, before leaning in and continuing, "I'm afraid of worms."

Amusement clearly spreading on his face, he crossed his arms, replying, "I'll get rid of it, but I'm telling someone about it."

"Don't you dare."

"Hey, Faker…"

I tackled him before Sonic came over, asking, "What?"

"Nothing." I answered, trying to keep my hand pressed to Shadow's mouth. He shrugged and went back inside. Looking down at my partner, I removed my hand, asking, "Are you gonna do it or not?"

"Fine, but you owe me." He replied, pushing me off him and standing.

SpongeBob smiled, cheering, "Yay! Thanks, Shadow."

He grumbled and went to find it, to my pleasure. Sitting on the couch, reading a new issue of 'Wrap your arms around me' I grinned getting to a part where Cartman was going to willingly submit to Kyle. Hearing the door open then close, I quickly marked the page and set it down under a magazine. Smelling him before he could come in my peripheral vision, I handed him two towels, not surprised at how much blood he was covered in.

"Now what? We can't just leave her out in the cold."

"Let's take her back; I'm sure they'll know what to do."

Are they speaking Russian? It's really cold. Feeling my body being dragged, I could help but feel a heavy weight on my arms.

"Should we remove the chains?"

"I guess; I'd rather wait until she's stable."

Shifting lightly, I looked at the ceiling wondering what that was about. Dismissing it as nothing important, I sat up after Shadow walked in.

"You're not sick, are you?" He inquired, a frown etched on his face.

"No, but I think…" I stopped and winced at feeling a searing surge of heat flow through my arm. Looking at my arm, I realized a mark was imprinted on it. I couldn't recognize where it came from but it looked like an arrow only with a flame inside of it.

"Well, I guess you aren't sick after all, but there's something definitely going on." Shadow concluded, reaching out to touch it. After nothing happened, he scowled and removed his right glove touching it once more and getting a shock from it.

"I'll look at it tomorrow, and…you're too close."

"Whatever." He chuckled and continued, "Remember when I got stuck in Bikini Bottom and I'd sleep next you. You'd get so mad and try to kick me out."

I smiled, replying, "Yeah, you're still as stubborn as when we first met. The good thing about now is that, I don't mind sharing a bed with you."

Pulling me towards him, I couldn't help but notice the smell of vanilla mixed with a faint cigarette and oil smell. "Why do you smell like oil?"

"I've been working on a motorcycle for at least a week." He answered, softly sighing and lying next to me.

I nodded, before asking, "How come you've been training more?"

Now fully looking at me, he didn't respond for a while. "I found out my mother is alive and out of jail, so I began training more to take my mind off it."

I frowned, replying, "Don't be so stupid. You know that worries me, besides it's not like she's…"

"I can feel it. I can feel her looking for me, and I don't want her to…to find us. I'm sticking to my promise of protecting my family." He interrupted, meeting my gaze.

I sighed, running my hand along his chest, trying to get him to relax. Hearing a low purr, I smiled, taunting, "How cute. You're just plain adorable."

"S-shut up, it's not cute." He stammered, blushing lightly and pouting. I squealed, and continued rubbing his chest making him purr more. "Fe-Female, quit i-it." He whimpered, biting his lip.

I grinned and stopped, pecking his nose, asking, "Feel better now?"

Rolling his eyes, he muttered, "Go to bed, Frau."

Putting my arm across his torso, I nuzzled into him falling asleep minutes later.

A/N: So, his mother will appear I just don't know in which chapter. Any questions so far about this? Also, I'm sorry if this is short, I've been busy with school. Review please.
