Sorry it took so long to update, I have been really busy. I hope you enjoy the chapter.

A Month Later

It had been a month since he joined the Authority. He had not spoken to Dean or Roman, it angered him even now to think of how he found Roman choking The Raven and Dean just standing there. He could understand them being angry with him but it did not give them the right to take it out on her. After all, she had even tried to convince him not to join the Authority, however he had already made his mind up. He didn't like Dean blaming The Raven for him turning on them. Seth did feel bad but he knew that if he walked away from the offer Hunter made him, he would not be able to live with himself that he would always wonder "what if?"

It was a business decision, looking back at wrestling as a child he remembered Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage being friends and then turning on each other to reach their goals but eventually they would forgive each other. Even Triple H and Shawn Michaels had the same kind of relationship and they are still friends today. He hoped that Dean and Roman would someday understand his choice was not personal, it was time to move on from the Shield. They had done everything they could accomplish as a group, it was time to pursue their individual careers, but it didn't mean they still couldn't be friends away from the ring. He did miss their friendship and brotherhood, he hoped one day they could reconcile.

The backlash from the fans was incredible, especially from social media. Seth had received so many hateful tweets and messages left on his Facebook were just as bad. He ended up closing and then reopening them under different accounts. When he was introduced during Monday Night Raw or at Smackdown, the majority of the fans booed him. Seth found it all amusing and his goal was to get the entire audience to boo him when he was introduced during the shows. He grinned at the thought and looked over at The Raven who was jogging along side him. She was wearing one of his official merchandise shirts, it was black with yellow and gray print, his logo was on the front and on the back it read "Don't sell out, buy in". She was also wearing a pair of white shorts and tennis shoes. He was wearing a pair of black shorts with a gray shirt of one of his favorite bands and some Nike tennis shoes. They just wanted to spend a quiet weekend together. They had gotten up early for a run to start their day. He could tell by the warm air that it was going to be hot today.

The Raven wish she could take it all in stride the way Seth did but it was hard for her. The fan support is what really made being part of the WWE worth wild, but since that night when Seth turned on Roman and Dean. Dean had tweeted that the reason Seth had turned against them was so he could be closer to his girlfriend. When she was introduced with Kane, the fans now booed her. She stopped going on her Twitter and Facebook accounts because of all the hateful, spiteful things the fans were saying. Sometimes they were heckled in public by fans even at the airport, like yesterday when they boarded their flight to Iowa. She looked over at Seth, she could see him grinning at her. They were jogging to the park, which was 2 miles from his house. They were almost there, as Seth picked up the pace.

Despite all the negative sentiments, things were going as Seth had hoped. Last Sunday, he won Money in the Bank with help from Kane, she didn't like that because she knew he could have won it without Kane's help but it was part of the storyline and it made the fans boo even more. So, Seth now had a whole year to cash in the contract for a title match. She was happy for him.

They finally reached the park and slowed their pace down. Seth stopped at a bench and sat down huffing. The Raven stood in front of him with her hands on her hips panting hard from their run. They both were silent as they regulated their breathing. Seth then grabbed her hand and pulled her onto his lap. He nuzzled his face into the curve of her neck. She giggled as his nose and the whiskers of his beard tickled her neck. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, holding onto him.

"So what are we going to do for the rest of the day?", he asked as he placed soft kisses against her neck and shoulder.

"We could spend the day in bed watching movies and order some pizza?", she suggested as she kissed his nose.

"Or we can spend the day in bed doing something else?", he said with a wicked grin and a sparkle in his eyes as his hands went under her t-shirt. He started to caress her well tone abs and waist. The Raven inhale slightly, she could feel her body tingle from his touch. "Yes we could do that to.", she replied smiling back at him as he leaned in and kissed her. His kisses were gentle at first but soon turned passionate. He finally stood up and placed her on her feet.

"How about we race home?", Seth asked.

"And what will the winner get in return?", she asked teasingly.

"The winner will decide what part of the house we get to do it in?"

The Raven started to laugh, "You really have a thing for your desk don't you?" She had made an office for Seth in one of the downstairs' rooms. Last night when they arrived from the airport, she had surprised him and showed him, his office. He showed his appreciation by making love to her on his desk. If she hadn't insisted they go to the bedroom he would have taken her again on his desk. Thinking about last night brought goose bumps to her arms as she remembered him holding her in place on his desk as he pounded in to her making her scream her release.

He put his armed around her waist and brought her lean body against his. "I didn't hear any complaining last night. All I heard was someone yelling my name.", he said with a smirk. She started to blush, which only made his smile get wider.

"So are you up for the challenge? Or do you give up because you know I am going to beat you. I am fast-", before he could finish his sentence, The Raven had pushed him to the ground and took off running. "Hey you cheater!" She heard him say as she laughed and picked up her speed. Seth jumped to his feet and took off after her.

She had managed to keep the lead she had on him but only by a couple of feet, he was hot on her trail. She could feel Seth trying to grab her from behind but managed to avoid him. She could see the house and put what energy she had into her final sprint.

He could hear her laughter as he again reach out but failed to catch her. He could see their house and noticed her pick up her speed. God he had to work on his cardio, he thought.

The Raven took the key from her pocket as she got closer to the door. She fumbled with the key trying to open it. Seth grabbed her from behind and she screamed in amusement as she got the door open. She was so caught up with Seth that she did not realize the door was already unlocked.

"You cheater!", he said in between pants. Once inside he turned her around and slammed her against the wall, pressing his body hard against hers.

"Hey, I won. I get to decide remember.", she said with a grin, trying to get her breathing under control. He said nothing as he kissed her passionately. The Raven returned his kiss but once she felt him relax she pushed him off her, laughing as she started running toward the stairs. He watch her go. She turned around and stuck her tongue out at him. He laughed and ran after her.

She was half way up the stairs when he grabbed her by the ankle and pulled her down toward him. She screamed at being captured and tried to hold on to the rails, but there was no escaping Seth. He turned her around so her back was on the stairs and he crawled on top of her with the same smirk he had on his face earlier. She spread her legs so he could rest between them. For a moment they stared at each other, Seth's eyes were shimmering and soft but intense as he gazed at her, it always scared her when he looked at her like that, because she did not want to hear the words that look meant. She knew she was being foolish but she could not help but feel those three little words were a curse to her. Everyone she held dear to her, everyone that meant anything to her were either dead or were not talking to her. Maybe not everyone but it felt like that to her. She was working on over coming this way of thinking with Dr. Reeves but the fear still had it's hold on her.

Seth could feel her tense up and see the anxiety in her eyes, he wanted to tell her how he felt about her but he knew she was not ready. They had been together for five months now and he could not deny what he felt for her as hard as he tried to fight his feelings for her, he loved her. He did not want to because he was not sure if she felt the same way. He did not want to push it but he couldn't live like this not knowing if at any minute she would walk away from him.

All thoughts left him as he closed his eyes, feeling her hands go under his shirt and feeling her nails graze his back in a upward and downward motion. Her hands then went down into his shorts and boxers to his butt cheeks, she squeeze and massage them. He moaned and opened his eyes, he could see the lust in hers now. He shifted his body to the side, so he could grab the hem of her shirt and she lifted her arms so he could pull the shirt over her head. He tossed the shirt above her. He then lowered his head and started to lick and kiss the cleavage that was left exposed by her sports bra, while his hand stroked her abs. She moaned and reached around his head to undo the bun he had his hair in. She run her fingers through his hair, loving the feel of his silky curls.

"AHEM!", came the voice of Seth's mom standing in the foyer looking up at them, with Teresa beside her.

Oh shit!", The Raven said in surprise and embarrassment. She immediately covered her exposed cleavage with her hand and turned her back to his family.

Seth was equally surprised. "Mom what the hel-, I mean what are guys doing here?", he asked as he stood up, blocking The Raven from their view. He had given his mother a key to watch over the house when he and The Raven were not home.

"Well good morning to you to son.", his mother said with amusement. She could see his cheeks red with embarrassment.

Seth looked down at his mother and then to his sister. Oh great! Just what he needed to start the day. The Raven had managed to get her shirt back on and stood up to stand beside Seth.

"Good Morning, Mrs. Lopez, Teresa." The Raven was so embarrassed she could barely make eye contact with them. She wished the floor would open up and swallow her now. She was curious as to why they were there, Seth hadn't spoken to his sister since May.

"Good Morning Raven. At least one of you has some manners and none of this Mrs. Lopez call me Elena."

"Good Morning Mom!" Seth was trying hard to control his temper. "Why is she here?" He of course was referring to Teresa. He missed his sister. Two months was the longest he had ever been without having some contact with her. However, he was still hurt that she would take Danielle's side over her flesh and blood that she had no regard for the relationship he was currently in.

"Seth I am tired of this thing that is between you and your sister. I think it is time we worked it out.", Elena said firmly.

"Well it's not like she has made any attempt to approach me or apologize for what she did." Seth said with irritation as he looked at his sister.

Teresa said nothing as her mother and Seth spoke, she shifted uncomfortably where she stood, looking down at the ground. She was obviously forced here by their mother, Seth thought.

"Well we are going to take care of that right now."

"Mom we are not five years old, we can take care of our own disagreements without your interference."

"Oh really and you two have done such a fine job of that so far. You two haven't spoken in 2 months and I think it is time you two end this foolishness.", his mother said haughtily with her hands on her hips looking up at her son.

"Mom -", Seth started to whine but his mother cut him off.

"Don't but mom me go take a shower and change now, Colby Lopez. We will be waiting in the living room.", she demanded leaving no room for argument as she and his sister went back to the living room to wait for him.

Seth roll his eyes, he knew better than to argue with her, so he grabbed The Raven by the arm and went to their room to change. There goes their plan of spending the day in bed.

Seth had showered and changed in 15 minutes, he wanted to get it over with. Teresa was clearly not there to apologize, if his mother had to force her to come.

The Raven had just gotten out of the shower and wrapped a towel around her body. She didn't wash her hair because it would take to long to fix. She watched Seth finish dressing, he was tense and upset about being cornered by his mother. The Raven knew how important his family was to him and how close he was to his sister and brother. How they watched out for each other, especially once his parents got divorced. His feelings were hurt because he felt that his sister cared more about Danielle than him.

He was sitting on the bed putting on his shoes. The Raven stood in front of him. "Seth", she said gently. He looked up at her. "You should give your sister a chance. Listen to what she has to say."

"Aren't you mad for the way she treated you?"

"Not to the point where I want you to stop talking to her. I know how close you were growing up. You don't want the kind of relationship like the one I have with my brothers. I mean at least she is here that has to count for something." Seth pulled her on to his lap and held her close.

"I miss her." he said softly. The Raven affectionately caressed his cheek, he then gazed up at her. She could see the sadness in his eyes.

"I know you do and you need to tell her how you feel. You are always telling me not to hide things from you. Well now is your chance to get things out in the open with her. Maybe she didn't realize what she was doing but you will never know if you don't talk to her." The Raven pecked Seth on the lips and got off his lap. Seth stood up and walked to the door. "I will see you downstairs.", he said softly as he left the room.

Seth walked into the living room, his mother and sister were whispering but stopped when they saw him. He went and sat in the opposite sofa facing them.

Teresa was nervous, she knew she owed Colby an apology for inviting Danielle to his party and for the scene that ended the party. She had tried several times in the past 2 months to approach Colby but each time she chickened out. She tried to explain why she did what she did but even to her own ears it sounded pathetic. At the time, she truly believed Danielle is what he needed to make him happy again. However, she soon realized he had feelings for The Raven, she had never seen her brother or made him as mad as he was that night when he left their Dad's house. He even refused to attend her wedding and she really wanted her baby brother there for her special day. She even moved the date of her wedding back a month hoping to convince him to attend.

Finally, their mother had had enough and here she was with Colby, both staring at each other silently waiting for the other to start the conversation. He didn't seem angry, which encouraged her to break the silence. "Your living room looks really nice." She didn't know how to start the conversation so she decided to start with small talk first.

"Thanks, The Raven finished decorating it last month." She did a really good job, the living room was done in red and light mocha colors with traditional furniture. The room was warm and inviting and the furniture was comfortable.

"Colby -" "Teresa"

They both tried speaking at once.

"Look Colby, I am sorry for what happened at Dad's.", she said remorsefully.

"Why did you invite her? You knew I had someone with me and yet you still invited her." He wanted to understand why, she would do something so spiteful.

"Ever since you and Danielle broke up, you really haven't been in a steady relationship. Yes, I know you had Elizabeth but I didn't think it was serious with her since you never brought her home for us to meet."

"Well that should have told you things were different with The Raven.", he said sharply and stood up.

"I know and I am sorry, but you had only been dating her for a couple of months and I didn't want you to get hurt again." Teresa yelled standing up to face her brother.

"So, you thought me getting back with Danielle was a great idea, the woman who through eight years away by fucking her lover in our bed.", Seth shouted, he was getting angry.

"Colby watch your language.", his mother shouted, as she stood by Teresa.

"Colby, she came to me one day and told me how sorry she was and how much she regretted the affair. How she still loved you. How she would do anything to make it up to you, so you could be together again. I figured you guys at one point really loved each other and could work it out.", she said desperately, trying to get Colby to see things from her point of view.

"I have news for you. I could never forgive her because I will always have that image of coming home and finding her in that position with him.", he barked at his sister. "But you know what really hurts, is you saw how much it hurt me, how long it took me to get over it and yet you took her side. Instead of telling her to fuck off and leave me alone. No you had the great idea of inviting her to my party and ruining it."

"Well how was I suppose to know your girlfriend was going to go all bonkers on her.", Teresa yelled back defensively.

"So you mean to tell me you would be ok if one of Roger's exs went up to him in front of you and told him, she still wants him and kisses him, you would have been ok with that? You wouldn't have gotten mad or jealous?"

"That is enough you two need to calm down.", Elena was franticly trying to get things under control, she could see how hurt Colby was and their yelling wasn't solving anything.

The Raven could hear them shouting from the staircase, she wasn't sure if she should join them or let them work it out, but she could tell Seth was fuming and so was Teresa because she wasn't listening to why Seth was upset. She decided to join them.

Seth looked from his sister to The Raven, she walked up to him and kissed him tenderly on the cheek. Seth could feel his anger subsiding. She then linked her arm with his and sat down on the sofa trying to pull him down beside her. He resisted but after a few seconds gave into The Raven and sat beside her. He looked at her and she smiled at him, he could feel himself calming down. The Raven then turned to his mother and Teresa who were still standing, "Hello again.", she said sweetly and smiled at Elena and Teresa, who were confused by the sudden mood change in the room. They both sat down on the sofa again. "So, I can hear it is not going as you had hoped Elena." The Raven choose to ignore Seth and Teresa, instead focus on his mother.

"No these two are as stubborn as rocks that is how it has always been since they were kids.", she was exasperated by their hard headedness.

"I see, well Seth is hurt because he feels Teresa cares more about how Danielle feels instead of taking his feelings into consideration.", she said a matter a factly. Again The Raven ignored Seth and Teresa who were staring at her and Seth's mother. The Raven just concentrated on Elena.

"Well I can see how he would feel that way since she is still on friendly terms with the girl that broke his heart, after the devastating and humiliating way Danielle betrayed him. I mean she saw how it took her brother weeks before he could face the world again." Elena could not understand why Teresa continued to be friends with Danielle but hoped that her words got through to her daughter.

Teresa turned to look at Colby, her bottom lip was quivering and her eyes were welling up with tears. "I am so sorry Colby. You have to know how much I love you. I never meant to hurt you. I only wanted you to be happy.", her voice was trembling with emotion. Seth looked over at his sister who was now crying. "It didn't feel that way. It was like you cared about your friend more than me." Teresa could hear the pain in Colby's voice and see it on his face, it made her cry even harder.

Seth went to his sister and sat on the sofa next to her and hugged her as tears started to roll down his cheeks. "I am so sorry", Teresa whispered between sobs.

The Raven gazed at Seth and Teresa, she was happy they made up but it made her heart heavy because she wished it could be that easy with her own brothers.

Elena reached out to gently touched The Raven on the arm. She turned to look at Elena, as she mouthed "Thank you" and could see her tears. The Raven was too overcome with emotion to speak, she just nodded her head.
