Toomaa: Yeah...something like that...altho, I won't count your chickens before they hatched.(throws a fortune cookie paper away)

Auzora Starling: Well that would be a nice ending, huh? I go with that one I guess, but we'll see.

Ec11aire: Awww thanks! XD

Lightning rose: Yeah, I was in a hurry, so I did what I could for her part... -_-!

Babyspitfire123: Dear BSF123, That seems a bit hard and stuff and I know your a guest, but let's see if I can, Ok? :3!

Draco Olim: I understand that and stuff, and I know you tried to help, but let's leave what I write just that since I'm not that smart to look up things they did in that era. Ok?

Savvy0417: People shouldn't say that, or things will be worse...

Chapter 28.

It was the day of her wedding. It was supposed to be a happy joyous day of celebration with bright blue skies shinning all around, but for this day, it was cloudy and looked to rain any second. Also to make it worse, it was not a joyous day at all for the poor princess. Inside, she was in her room getting ready for her big day. Sonic told her he wanted a private kind of wedding since he didn't want any suspicious people to come and ruin it. She remembered what he had told her last night.

(flash back)

Amy was back into her room in the morning lying on her bed sobbing still from her painful meeting with him last night. Her cheek was still in pain from his hurtful slap still a mark where he landed his hand on. She couldn't muster the strength to get up and leave, but her brain told her constantly that Sonic locked the door so she wouldn't escape. He even did his part to take what was her 'escape' from her room so she wouldn't jump out of the window.

Still crying, the princess lifted her head up from her pillow after hearing the door unlocked from the outside. Sonic was back. She sat up and quickly wiped her tears off so he wouldn't see. The prince came into the room with a straight face, but still showed much anger as he did last night. He closed the door behind him and made his way to her. He looked at her head to toe seeing her sullen face still plastered onto her head. He hated to see her like this, but hearing how she was cheating on him with another, made it hard to feel bad.

"Ahem..." he cleared his throat getting Amy's attention, "I've got news from your father.".

Pink ears perked instantly. She lifted her head up to his vision to show emerald eyes, but a hint of red from her constant sobbing, "F-father...?" she whispered.

Sonic nodded crossing his arms, "Turns out that with all your countless efforts to stop the wedding, he had no choice, but to move the wedding tomorrow." he told her slightly glaring down.

"...I see..." Amy looked down slightly saddened by the news.

"But..." Sonic smirked making the princess quiver in fear, "I think it worked perfectly. Because after I left you, I immediately told him about your 'friend'.".

Her eyes literally popped out in pure horror, "What?!" she shouted getting up from her seat, "No! You didn't!".

The prince nodded never losing his smirk, "Oh, I did. He then instructed a guard to go to his house in order to retrieve him so he can dealt with him personally.".

Amy slowly shook her head as more tears began to show once more as he continued, "Right now as we speak, that guard is on his way to his little house to find him. So looks like you and your...'Shadow'...will no longer be together." right after that, the princess turned and threw her body back onto the bed with her face buried in the pillow sobbing much louder than before.

Sonic didn't move one bit to comfort her in any way possible. He wanted her to suffer from what she had done. He huffed his last breath of anger and turned to walk to the door, "But, if you come quietly...I'll at least spare his life if you promise to love only me." he said to her as he made his way out.

In anger, the princess rose her upper body up to face him and glared daggers into the back of his head, "I would never marry you! Your an ungrateful being who should die instead!" she shouted.

Sonic only chuckled at her words. He opened the door and turned to face her from the outside, "I gave you a chance...and you just blew it." he smirked closing the door.

Amy grabbed the pillow and stuffed her head in screaming in anger and sadness into it. How could he do such a thing? He ruined her life by marrying her, and now she wouldn't be able to see Shadow no more after tonight. If there was a way to save him...then she had only one way to do so. She got up from her bed, then walked to her desk sitting down quickly. Taking out her quill and ink, she grabbed a small paper then began to write.

"My dearest Shadow..." she started feeling the tears fall one by one onto the paper, "I'm afraid this will be the last time you hear of me...I must do this in order to keep you safe...if there was a way to save you...then it is to let myself go...I will always love you and treasure our wonderful memories till I die...when you read this letter...please leave...you must escape, or...you will suffer gratefully...please remember me and always...keep what we did together safe and forever...love...Amy...".

She used one hand to wipe off her tears and the other to take out a envelope. folding and stuffing the letter in, she sealed it with hot red wax and stamped the royal symbol onto it. Amy then got off her seat and walked to the window looking out where his house was. It was only a few ways away and Sonic didn't really know where his house was so she still had time to save him. She took the letter holding it against her chest. She closed her eyes in prayer hoping it could make it to him.

Holding out her hand, she whistled a soft tune having a small little dove fly over to her landing perfectly onto her wrist. Amy brought it inside, then handed it the letter letting the bird chomp onto it to hold it, "Take this to Shadow...you know where he is..." she said quietly as she let the bird fly off into the air. Her eyes wept softly seeing the dove disappear into the forest below.

(flash back ended)

Now in her room, Amy was in a beautiful wedding dress. She decided that it would be her mother's dress to wear instead of her own. Her hair was held up in a tight bun with the veil trailing down to the bottom from the pink wrapped accessary. She had on crystal jeweled earrings, her mother's necklace including Shadow's next to it. Wearing both white satin gloves, and crystal white heels. Standing in front of the large mirror standing on a stool, she gazed at herself seeing a grown up beautiful woman ready to be given away, but for her, it was a woman being given to as a slave.

Aqua looked up at her from the floor as she put on the last of the touches to her dress, she noticed her straight face, but could really tell she was doing her best to keep her tears in at all times. She sighed looking down at her work to finish. She sewn on the last of the golden trim around the skirt pulling down the outer transparent skirt, then stood up.

The aqua colored hedgehog looked at her up and down, "Your ready." she told her with a slight grin.

Amy only nodded still staring into her reflection, "Thank you...".

"...my lady...I'm sorry this is all ruined...and...I wish I knew what to do to stop it...Silver couldn't do anything...and I'm afraid the knights won't-!".

"No, it's ok..." she told her finally moving her head to her, "I'm going through with this. I did this so Shadow will be safe.".

Aqua nodded, "But...the knight came back saying he didn't find him at all...".

The princess smiled only slightly, "I warned him before...he is probably out of this kingdom by then..." she said turning her head to the open window, "That was yesterday...so...he is safe...".

"My lady...I...I..." she trailed off feeling like she would cry as well.

Getting off the stool, Amy turned to her one and only friend in the world, "Aqua..." she whispered taking the poor maid in her arms, "Thank you for being my friend...my very best friend...".

Sniffing her tears up, the maid hugged her tightly not wanting to let go, "And thank you, my lady...I...I love you..." she whimpered.

"I love you, too...sister..." Amy smiled as a small drop fell off onto her shoulder.

The two were interrupted when a calm knock was heard. They looked up at the door seeing it open revealing a white arctic wolf with grey patches and a light black colored tail with a hint of grey on the tips of her ears and tail. She wore a dark purple dress with a black cape over her shoulders. Her long black hair was tied up in a down pony with a little bit of blue highlights all braided up well.

She came in after shutting the door, then took off her hood showing her bright purple eyes staring at the princess, "Hello, princess." she smiled softly.

Amy grinned happily, but only just slightly, "Midnight!" she said rushing to her engulfing her friend in a big hug.

Aqua watched in confusion of who this girl was and how she got here. Midnight smiled hugging her long time friend, "I'm here now. I sensed that you were troubled. I came as quickly as I could." she said with a smile.

The princess got off of her losing her smile quickly, "Well...I am...I am getting married, you see...and I lost the other one I loved...I wish there was a way to finally be with him instead of this one...".

Shaking her head in saddness, Midnight placed her hand onto her shoulder patting gently, "I'm sorry to hear such a horrible story...but I will say...you two, you and your destined are right for one another...and I do see you two being together forever very soon." she said in a soft yet hurtful voice hiding well behind her gentle smile.

Amy nodded and smiled back as well, "Thank you...if only it were true..." she whispered placing her hand onto her precious charm.

"Trust me...I can see it in the future and I know you and he will be one very soon.".

Staring both straight into the eye unable to look away, Amy held a deep thought of what she had meant by that saying. Nothing will bring back Shadow and to give him and her a chance for each other...can there be? Aqua, noticing the time onto her clock in the room, walked up to the two tapping her shoulder gently.

"Um, my lady...it's time..." she said quietly.

With a sigh, Amy nodded, bid her dear friend a last goodbye and a hug before walking to the door with Aqua helping her out. Midnight continued to gaze at her soon to be wedded friend as the door closed quietly. She sighed feeling tears into her eyes, but held them in greatly.

"It is what I said, your highness...you two...will be together...forever...".

And done! Last one after this people! Yes I know, but I'll get with the boring speech in the next and last part. Also, I want everyone to know what Midnight had meant by that. She can see in the future, and knows that Amy and Shadow will be together forever very soon. What do you think it meant? Find out in the next to see if your right!

Lastly, Midnight was given to me by AngelicCocoWolf. Thank you for letting me use your OC for this story and sorry it took so damn long, but I finally found a place for her. XD BYENEEE!
