A/N: This one is for ZaleTribal and Shortie87. When I was trying to figure out what to do for this one, for some reason this popped into my head. For those of you who haven't read the 3rdinstallment of the Bitter series, Bitter 3, Hitomi is Mori and Haruhi second child and their first daughter. Akio is their first son. Mitsuo is Hunny's son and oldest child. Enjoy!
#99… Practice spear throwing techniques/target practice – you have to be able to hit a target. This will allow you to do that without anyone being stabbed.
"What are you three doing?" Hunny questioned as he stepped out of the house and into the backyard. The three children he had been searching for were gathered outside and his own son, Mitsuo, was holding a spear appearing as if he was about to throw it at something. Turning his head slightly, he noticed three targets dangling from a tree branch. Upon closer inspection, did they… no, it couldn't be, but for some reason, those targets looked strikingly like Tamaki and the twins. Of course that could have been the blond and red yarn hair on the three dummies. A spear and three dummies that look like certain dummies… this could not possibly be good.
Smiling sweetly, Mori and Haruhi's second child, Hitomi answered, "Practicing."
"Practicing what?" Did he really want to know? Hunny wasn't so sure.
"Protecting mom," Akio answered proudly. He was the spitting image of his father, Mori, and was the oldest of the Morinozuka children at age ten.
The former loli shota looked from the boy to the six year old girl, and then turned his eyes to his own nine year old son, "Mitsuo?"
Acting innocent, the replica of his father asked, "What?"
"Where did you get the spear?"
"How do you know it's mine? Maybe Akio-Chan brought it?"
"Akio-Chan brought his shinai, as did Hitomi-Chan, but neither of them had a spear. I think I would have noticed that when your Uncle Takashi dropped them off this morning."
"It could have been hidden in his shinai."
"Mitsuo…"
The warning in his father's voice was clearly evident, and he knew the older man wasn't buying the cute act (dear reader, like father, like son, however, the cute act didn't seem to work on his father at all, even if it worked on everyone else). Stepping forward, he tried once again and looked as sweet and innocent as possible (dear reader think of Hunny when he is trying to convince everyone to give him sweets or convinced Haruhi to hold Usa-Chan), "Uncle Chika and Uncle Sato were practicing yesterday when I was over there for my lesson and they showed me how to throw one. So I was showing Akio-Chan and Hitomi-Chan."
"And the whole protecting mommy?" Hunny questioned the Morinozuka children.
"Uncle Tama was bad again!" Hitomi proclaimed.
It was apparent that the six year old wasn't going to give more, so he dropped his questioning gaze on the eldest child in the yard.
Knowing it was up to him to explain, Akio said, "She's right! Uncle Tamaki came over to the house the other day. Mom had just set Mieko down on the floor to play when he ran into the house and grabbed her. Dad had to rescue her again. If she had still been holding our little sister, he would have killed her!"
Although Tamaki was known for his glomps, Hunny didn't believe Tamaki would have killed the one year old child… then again, he did just barge into the house and grab their mother, so something might have happened. Shaking his head, he couldn't help but think that the blond sometimes caused more trouble than he realized. His eyes fell upon the dummies again, "So the yellow haired dummy is Tama-Chan?" Receiving nods of affirmation, he inquired, "And the other two?"
"Uncle Hika and Uncle Kaoru! They were really bad!" Hitomi answered quickly, a frown on her face and tears lacing her voice.
"Before you ask why, it's because they came over later the same day and egged Uncle Tamaki on and wound up accidentally ripping the head off of Hitomi's favorite doll. It was her idea to put them in the tree as well," Akio spoke up quickly.
It was all starting to make perfect sense now, but still the thought of the children practicing throwing a real spear at targets that look like their uncles… it didn't quite sit well with him, "Akio, Hitomi, Mitsuo, go and get your shinais. And Mitsuo, give me the spear."
"Why our shinai?" The six year old little girl asked suspicious that her uncle wouldn't allow her to practice any longer. She didn't want to work on kendo, she wanted to throw the spear. Mitsuo and Akio had a turn, why couldn't she? Maybe she needed to call her Uncle Kyoya to help her.
"Because that spear is old and dangerous. I don't want any of you to get tetanus. You can use your shinai as pretend spears and throw them at the targets without anyone getting hurt. Plus that way each of you have something to throw. If you want, we can paint the ends with different colors and you can see where you hit the dummies each time."
Suddenly the small girl was more excited, "Okay!" Maybe she wouldn't have to call her Uncle Kyoya after all. Now she could throw something and not listen to the boys tell her she was too small to throw the spear.
Hunny helped mix paint that each of the children could dip the end of their shinais in before they threw the makeshift spears, and then stood by and watched as they took great enjoyment in practicing killing their uncles. Well, at least it wasn't a real spear and the three perpetrators in question were safe within their homes; although, Hunny could not guaranty their future safety.
For the next two hours, the loli shot host coached his son as well as the Morinozuka children, giving them pointers on how to aim, how to throw, and various other things, correcting them when needed. At one point in time, people called him a weapon of mass destruction, they hadn't met this generation yet. They were going to be a force to be reckoned with.
"What's going on?" Sachiko, Hunny's wife asked as she stepped out of the house holding their nine month old adopted baby, Emi Takara, in her arms. Her suspicions grew when she noticed the three targets the children were using in their activity.
Taking Emi from his wife, Hunny answered innocently, "I'm just helping them practice in their duties to Haru-Chan." He snickered when his wife turned around and returned to the house without another word. "Emi-Chan, are you going to grow up big and strong and learn to throw a spear too?"
Three men across the city got a deadly chill. They felt as if they were about to meet the grim reaper.
