A/N: Hiya! It's my birthday today guys so I'm really upbeat. Shame this chapter is not! Though I am home from school with a sore head...(I got hit in the head with a ball) but never mind xD And jeez, I keep forgetting to put this in italics. Just for the record, I don't call people honey or babe or whatever. I feel the need to point this out xD However I will call people doll!

"Oh, god," Jade says, hand over mouth. Cat frowns, worried.

"Yeah," Cat says, sighing sadly. "You were both in a bad way. I'm almost at the end of my story. I can't say it ends happily ever after, but I know after I tell you, we'll be family again. That's my happily ever after." Jade gives a watery grin and wipes her eyes.

"Go on with the story," she says softly. Cat nods, rubbing Jade's pale arm.

"Cat knelt down next to where Jade had fallen, and whispered in her ear. "It's okay, Jade. Wake up, honey, wake up!"

"Hmm," says Jade. "Hospital, Cat." Cat nods, and grabs her keys from the bowl on the side. She also grabs her handbag and loops it over her shoulder, helping Jade up carefully.

"Right. You get Olivia, Jade. Yes, that's right.." she watches Jade go to the doorway. "And I'll get Jasper. We'll have to take them because your Dad's working. Rightio, babes, we'd better get going," she says to Jasper. She pats his back gently. "Hmm. We'd better pack a baby bag. Bottles," she searches through the fridge and finds three. She doesn't know how long they'll be there. "Diapers and baby wipes," Cat checks off, placing a pack of each in the bag. Cat really liked to be prepared. "Extra set of clothes, and blanket for both Olivia and Jasper." She thinks hard. "I'd better pack that sling. Olivia's a little too big but she can squash down if she falls asleep." She muses. "Baby seat for the car." It transforms into a baby carrier too. "Is that everything? Yes, I think so."

"Jade? Jade, you have Olivia, right? Come on down, and we'll drive down now." Jade emerges from Olivia's room with a tear stained face. "Oh, Jade..." Cat says softly. She holds the baby with one arm and hugs Jade tightly with the other. "He'll be okay."

"I don't want to talk about it," she says defensively, but Cat feels her lean into the hug and simply shhes her. "Cat, what am I gonna do? I have him and only him. I mean, I have the babies and I love them so much but they're just children! They can't grow up without a Daddy. I grew up without a Mom and look at how I turned out."

"A good Mom. Yeah, you have faults. Everyone does." Cat says gently. "But you're a great Mommy!"

"Thanks Cat," Jade says hoarsely. "Can we go now, please?"

"Of course."

The car ride there is awkward and you could cut the silence with a butter knife. Cat is getting flustered, trying to settle both babies. She curses as she runs yet another red light. "Shh, Livvy. Look! Pretty red lights." She turns as she waits for the lights to change to green and readjusts Jasper's blanket. "Oh, shoot," Cat says, getting the engine in gear to move again. "Jade, can you settle the babies? I really can't while I'm driving," Cat says, faintly irritated. Jade barely gives Cat a glance before letting her hair fall in front of her face.

"Olivia isn't a baby."

"She's three, Jade, get a grip. Just talk to her, okay? I can't do everything y-"

"Oh, you need to shut the f-" Cat cuts Jade off this time.

"Jade," Cat warns, an edge to her voice. "If you know what is best for you, you will not continue that sentence." Sometimes the only way to handle Jade was to treat her like a child. It usually works. Jade nods.

"I'm sorry, Cat, I'm just so stressed and worried about..him."

"I know." Cat says, and she leaves it at that.

Jade walks slowly into the hospital building. Cat trails after, with Jasper in a sling on her chest, and Livvy holding onto her hand. Jade is gripping onto the baby bag like it's her last lifeline. Cat simply lets her wander to the front desk, and then calls after her. "Jade," she says softly, picking Olivia up - with great difficulty. Jade turns.

"Oh, sorry," she reaches out her arms.

"No, don't worry about that. You're gonna have to ask them, okay? Or do you want me to?" Jade looks desperate and Cat understands. She gives Olivia to Jade and walks over to the desk, taking a deep breath.

"Oh, isn't he lovely?" The receptionist smiles. Cat nods.

"Yes, he takes after his Mom." The lady raises an eyebrow.

"Oh, really? He doesn't look like you." Cat smiles tiredly.

"That's his mommy." She points to Jade.

"I see it now! Anyhow, what can I do for you?"

"Beck Oliver? That's his wife and daughter." She glances over and sees Jade's forehead pressed against Livvy's. "And this is his son. I am her sister. We would like to visit him."

"Okie doke," she says. "Immediate family only, okay?"

"Well. I count, don't I?" The lady smiles and winks.

"You go on through with the baby and little girl." Cat takes a deep breath and takes Jade's hand. This was going to be the hardest thing they'd ever do. Seeing him in that state.

They had each other, but they didn't know how they'd see it through like this. All hope had been long given up.
