Tegan's POV

It had been about two months since Sara and I had officially become a band together and she and Joey had just finished the school year. We packed up her classroom after the final bell had let the students out on the last day; we would spend the majority of the summer in the studio and planned to release the album in the spring. Our first few days recording I had to guide Sara through the whole process but she's a fast learner and caught on quickly to how records are made.

"Tegan I'm so tired." She told me one afternoon as she plopped down onto the couch I was sitting on in the studio.

"I know. I am too making the record isn't the best or most fun part but it has to be done." I said petting her hair since she had decided to rest her head in my lap.

"So what is the best part about our job then?" She asked curious.

"The best part well to me at least is getting to meet the fans." I responded smiling at my memories of the many people how would wait after a show just to thank me or the ones who ask me shyly for a hug. To me there was nothing better than knowing my music had touched somebody enough to the point where they felt the need to meet me and thank me in person. I told this to Sara and she smiled and said, "Hopefully I can feel that way too."

"You will." I promised kissing her forehead. After four grueling months of recording, mixing, and mastering we had a record made. It was just a waiting game now. Sara and I started doing various interviews most of them centered on how it was working with your significant other and our family life. We also started a mini tour where we played all of my "old" songs. Promoting the album was just a part of what we had to do, learning how to play the record and how it was going to work out live also took up a lot of our spare time. One night Sara and I had a conversation about the whole process.

"Damn Tee. I have to give you props on everything. I mean I'm tired now and it's my first time having to promote an album and all of this stuff."

"Don't fret babe, it's your first time doing all of this. You're doing well I was overwhelmed too my first time having to follow up my debut." I reassured her.

"Awwe. Thanks Tee." She told me as she kissed my nose. On the day the album was released we had a small release party courtesy of our record label. It was fun our friends and family came and we had a great time listening to the final product with everyone. The next day would be spent doing another interview and the start of our first tour since the album dropped. Sara, Joseph and I couldn't be more excited.
