Sasa Yuuki had miraculously managed to remain oblivious to the world around her for several hours. She'd found time to rest and rejuvenate her strength without anyone to bother her, so she had taken it. Even as a Magical Girl, there was only so long she could go without sleep. She opened her eyes, staring up at the sky. It was dark, clearly night, but there was a reddish glow in the clouds overhead. She sat up, looking around her to get her bearings. She was on the roof of a large building. She was pretty sure it was a church. The other Magical Girls that were chasing her were unlikely to look on the top of an old church.

She blinked her eyes a few times until they were clear. The redness of the sky didn't go away, so it was obvious that something was up. She just needed to figure out what. First, though, she needed something to eat. perhaps there was something she could find to eat inside the church. Not likely, so she turned her sights on the house next to the church. Breaking in, taking some food, and leaving again would be simple enough. She hopped down to the roof of the house and looked over the edge. Something was definitely wrong down below her. She wasn't sure she wanted to find out what.

There were people, maybe hundreds of them, swarming around the windows and trying to break them down. They looked like they were mindlessly slobbering and clawing over each other. At first she thought they might be under a Witch's spell, but upon closer inspection, she thought they looked almost like reanimated corpses. She mulled it over, trying to remember the word for that.

"Shamblers? Meanderers? Redead? Rotters? Mormons? No, it started with 'z'." She settled on Zubats and moved on. "Alright. Time to be a big damn hero."

Raising her scythe, she reached out with her power to call control over the nearest being of power significantly greater than her own. Naturally, she imagined a Witch or another Magical Girl, but when she used it like this she could never be quite sure. At first, nothing happened. She thought perhaps there just wasn't anything nearby with any power. She still wasn't certain of her power's range, but it was probably quite a bit. Which, of course, ruled out these Zubat/Mormons as simply being under a Witch's influence. She was about to give up on maybe saving anyone inside, when the response finally came. It wasn't what she had been expecting.

A big, red, hideous creature crashed through the wall of the house, trampling countless walking corpses in its way. It turned, crushing them into the ground with its arms and flinging them away. Many of the hordes sent flying struck nearby trees and snapped in two from the force. The monster proceeded to wrench what looked like several spears out of its chest and begin flattening the horde further. Sasa had to wonder where those spears had come from, but she paid it no mind. It was time for anyone living inside the house to know who was responsible for saving their lives.

Sasa dropped down to the ground behind her new puppet and walked into the house. "Anybody home?"

Another red spear appeared, pointed right at her throat. That answered that question. It was another Magical Girl. The angry redhead was keeping her eyes on the hole in the wall instead of Sasa, so she could probably get out of this easy enough. The other Magical Girl snapped at her suddenly. "Who are you? How'd you get past them?"

Sasa glanced over to the other side of the room. There was a man and a younger girl trying to carry a woman who looked like she had fainted to the back door. She returned her attention to the one pointing a weapon at her. "Yeah. I'm Yuuki. Sasa Yuuki. As for how I got past them, well... I can... my wish lets me control the actions of... well, anything that would otherwise likely reduce me to a pile of mush. So I just told that big thing to make a hole, pretty much." She pointed her thumb over her shoulder at the hole in the wall. "It'll probably just stay out there making things less threatening until it can't move any more. I hope you don't mind if it dies. I mean, I'm guessing you don't, cause it looked like you were using it as a dartboard."

The red Magical Girl lowered her spear. "So it'll just do what you want until it dies?"

Sasa shrugged. "Everybody wins. Well, not the bad guys."

"Normally, I'm not one for teaming up with other Magical Girls, but..." She reached out her hand. "Right now I'll take all the help I can get. My name is Kyoko."

"Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Kyoko! You got any food in this house?"
