Im sorry this May be a boring chapter but I thought I would update again, so just A short little filler chapter for you :)

"Have you eaten today?" Nick asked, joining Zoe in the front room upon returning from putting Hollie to bed. His good mood had definitely been shining through all day; he was still over the moon about the prospect of becoming a father for the second time. Zoe on the other hand, was a little more quieter, she wasn't sure if the way she was feeling was early morning nausea or the fact that she was worried about the pregnancy.

"No" Zoe mumbled, lying back onto the sofa with her feet up "Don't really fancy food right now"

"You need to eat" He ordered "It's really not good on the baby" He frowned, lifting up her feet to take a seat at the bottom end of the sofa.

Zoe sighed, he really was a worrier and she knew he was going to wrap her up in cotton wool for the whole pregnancy "Nick, you need to stop worrying"

Nick nodded, he knew how much this had annoyed her when she was pregnant with Hollie "Are you OK?" He tilted his head to look at her. He could tell when she wasn't quite herself.

"Yeah course, why wouldn't I be?" She asked, trying to convince him otherwise.

"you just dont seem yourself, I'm worried about you" He admitted, his hand drawing circles across her thigh.

"I'm fine" She smiled, trying to hide her true worries "like I said earlier, it's just a shock that's all"

"Come here" He instructed, lifting up his arm for Zoe to cuddle into his chest as she sat up "I've not been this happy in a long time" He admitted, kissing the top of her head. He rarely shared his true emotions, but when he did, she knew he meant it.

"Me too" Zoe smiled, looking up to match Nicks beaming face. She loved making him happy and she wasn't going to do everything for it to stay that way; Nick would never need to find out about the 50/50 chance of him actually being the father. He would be the best dad to this child and she knew it.

"I was thinking you might want to do light activites at work from now on?" Nick suggested. He knew she was going to refuse, but there was no harm in trying.

"Not a chance" Zoe smugly replied, looking up at him with a smirk on her face as she rested her chin on his warm chest.

"Zo" Nick raised an eyebrow, questioning her descision.

"oh come on Nick, you know I'm fine with it. I worked up until I had Hollie didn't i?" She reminded him. When she found out she was pregnant at 7 weeks, Nick had insisted that Zoe only worked in cubicles. That wasn't her thing though, she loved the adrenaline rush off working in resus, it was where she belonged and that is where she remained right up until 37 weeks when she went into labour.

"that's what worries me, I don't want your waters breaking in resus again" He chuckled.

"fine I will do light activites at the end" Zoe rolled her eyes "we got a deal?" She asked.

"deal" Nick smiled, kissing her on the forehead "we also need to book a scan" He suggested.

"tomorrow" Zoe nodded in agreement "right now I just want to go to bed" She softly added as her eyes became heavier.

"good idea" Nick smiled, taking her hand as he guided her up off the sofa and through to their bedroom.

Climbing into bed, Nick wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her body closer to him as sleep slowly over came her "we will cope Zoe, I promise" He whispered into her shiny hair, placing kisses across the back of her neck.

"I love you" Zoe mumbled, her voice weak with sleep as her eyes finally closed; warmly embraced in her lovers arms as he protectively draped his hand across her slightly swollen belly; where their baby began to grow - or so he believed.
