Review!

I told everything I knew to Jon and as soon as he realised this he acted…. Like nothing was wrong.

'What is wrong with you?!' I exclaimed with my hands up in a dramatic way. He just looked at me and plopped down on the sofa chewing on an apple.

'There is nothing wrong with me.' He said. 'Stop overreacting.' He mumbled.

'Overreacting? OVERREACTING?! Jon its not me! Its you! You are… Underreacting.' I said shrugging.

'Is that a word?' he asked, his brows crunched.

'Well it is now!' I snatched off the apple from his hands and started eating it while pacing.

'Okay, relax Clary. You know worrying is stupid. Its not like they are ever going to actually know who we are. We are going to gear up. Solve this case and disappear like we always do.'

'I don't always fall in love!' As soon as I said it I thought of Sebastian and realised how stupid I sound. I guess… I do really fall in love everytime. 'YOU don't always fall in love!' I corrected myself and earned a snort from Jon.

'We are agents Clary. We shouldn't care, we shouldn't love. Its just work.' He said as he got up from the couch. 'Speaking of work, you might want to take a look at this.' He walked towards a cupboard and opened it up. From in there came out a tumbling Luke with gags, cuffs and rope almost covering every inch of his body. He tumbled and fell face first on the floor. I suddenly remembered the old times, if it weren't for his bad actions, he would have said, 'Hey! The floor needed hugs!' and I would have laughed and patted him. I shook my head, we are way past that.

'What did you do to him?' I asked Jon watching Luke try to sit up. His expression looked bored.

'As I said, I interviewed him.' He went and took off the duct tape off his mouth. 'Did you know about the shadowhunters here knowing about secret agencies?' he asked him.

Luke smirked, 'Took you long enough huh.' He said and sat up straighter. 'Of course I knew about it. I am the one who told them.. well indirectly of course.'

'How?' Jon asked, he looked furious and contained. It was a scary expression. But, surprisingly Luke laughed.

'You are asking the wrong questions boy. Is this really how dumb have you started being after meeting a girl? The Isabelle Lightwood? I have heard about people getting dumb in love but this is pretty majestic, seeing it live.' He chuckled, which earned a punch in his nose, causing it to bleed.

'What did you tell them?' I asked. He looked at me as if noticing me for the first time.

'Ah! Clary! Heard you went Vampire hunting. How did it go?'

'Just answer the question!' Jon said in his deep irritated voice. Luke looked at him as if seeing a cat trying to behave like a tiger and looked at me again.

'Got to know anything about sacrifices? Ceremonies?' I widened my eyes and looked at Jon. Years of practice of communicating silently worked and he understood immediately. He knew Luke was telling the truth now.

'Tell me the whole thing. What is happening tomorrow?' he asked. Luke looked at me straight in the eyes.

'Tomorrow, exactly at midnight there will be a ceremony. I cant tell you much but this ceremony, it may result in the end of Sceptre.'

'But that's insane! We have the sceptre!' I reasoned.

'Oh no its not. One spell and the sceptre will demolish itself wherever it is. Unfortunately a potion that completes the spell is with the Lightwoods. It was like a gift, given down to generations. It has been in the family forever but now is the time to really use it.'

'But we cant let that happen. Sceptre is what helps us right now.' Jon said confused.

'Oh of course. Well then suit yourself. I will just give you a hint, this "Sceptre" wont be so nice when you find out the truth.' With that he shut up. Literally shut up. We would ask him stuff but he wont say, we would punch him. We even tried silver, earned by just screams no words. After having to throw in a bloody body in the cupboard again we went to bed.

I wasn't happy with the thought of going to school when you have the whole world at stake in your hands but I had to shrug of sleep eventually so I stop complaining.

'The ceremony tonight might be deadly for us.' Jon said as I closed the front door and hopped onto my bike.

'Might even scar us for our entire lifetime.' I replied.

'May also make us see our scariest nightmares, live them.' He said, his expression as if in thought.

'We should totally go check out that ceremony tonight then.' I said grinning.

'Totally!' he grinned back.

I ran towards Jace, in hopes of scaring him from behind because he still had his back at me. I came up from behind and very un-secretagent-ishly I tripped and fell.

Yay!?

Ugh, my life sucks.

Jace noticed because I made a loud bang and came in to help me. 'Oh My God Clary! That was funny.' He laughed and I just looked at him like he had grown a third ear or something.

'Okay, okay. I am sorry.' He finally said and helped me up.

'Damn, triiping and hitting hurts like a bitch.' I said.

'Miss. Fray! Please, no curses in the school!' Mr Higgins said while looking at me from the judgy eyes with half moon glasses on the tip of his nose.

'Sorry sir.' I replied and made a cute expression. He bought it.

There were some kids in the corridor running and I thought he was gonna scold them too and he did. 'Oh my god you little fuckers! Stop with the running already!' he said and keep on walking.

I widened my eyes and looked at Jace. 'Welcome to my world.' I chuckled and kissed him quickly.
