After years of hiatus from this story I've finally got the resources to continue working on it. My resource name is CuddlyChristina. Without her help I wouldn't still be doing this.
OOO
Haro with no access to a library was trying to find peace with meditation. He was meditating near a cave of sleeping wolves, he wasn't afraid of them. One of the wolves awoke, but had no intention in attacking him, since he was meditating. Instead, it watched him.
Haro was where he wanted his focus to be and with his chakra he could overpower the wolf. Yet he didn't know the wolf did not want to attack him; instead it walked over to him and curled up into a ball, sleeping next to him. It did bring some sort of comfort to Haro, as he let out a small smile.
The forest was brimming with life like blood oxygenating from a ninja's blood. With his mediation a success, he was confident that he could pick up where he left off. As he stood, he walked over to the wolf that was resting to next to him and unexpectedly petted it. It opened it eyes and let out a happy growl, indicating it liked being petted, which was odd considering it was a wolf to begin with.
"You remind me of Rei. She also had a soft side behind her moxie and envy of us. Soon if I had had a way to get back to the future, I would see my friends again."
Danger loomed overhead.
The wolf shook its head yes, and Haro added, "I hope you and your family continue to live in peace, even if it means survival."
It shook its head in agreement, before looking over at the other wolves. As the ninja began to leave, however, the wolf barked at the other wolves, causing them to slowly awaken. Instead of being bloodthirsty, they began to converse with head movements and barks and growls.
Though they couldn't speak, it was clear in the conversation that the wolf wanted to team up with Haro, until Haro returned to the future. The other wolves were reluctant, but agreed nonetheless.
"How touching. A boy and his army of mongrels. Crawler is I and kill you all I will."
A kunai flew from the trees to the biggest wolf of the pack. Haro, using instincts Rei helped him learn jumped up and snatched the kunai.
As the wolves except the lone one accompanying Haro retreated back into the cave. "I don't think so!" he said with a smirk, before aiming at Crawler.
Crawler raised his right hand up. It transmuted, contorted, and did an inside out grostesqus and bloody transformation before a giant gun appeared as his hand. It was a sniper-esque gun appendage.
He was rather unaware of the slight damage he received from the kunai when it hit his lower abdomen. Crawler pressed on, however, beginning to shoot at Haro, with Haro narrowly dodging the bullets, though a stray bullet hit his left shoulder.
Haro finally tapped into his ninjutsu, used his water jutsu to move water from the pond behind him...after moving his fingers to be a pinprick of manipulating water.
The burst of water hit straight into Crawler, nearly slamming him into the ground. The wolf was able to run over to the enemy, and sunk its jaws into his non-mutated arm.
It was instinctive though that Crawler used clone jutsu. Four of him were aiming his long sniper hand facing the brave wolf.
"Only one bullet is real, but lined up I could kill one of you first and the other-"
Haro also had the same idea, using clones of wolves that solidified into water.
"What the fuck!?" Crawler asked as several wolves that resembled living liquid emerged, running towards his clones and attacking them with their claws.
The real Crawler was sniffed out by the real wolf as it clamped its sharp teeth around his non-transformed hand. He let out a scream as the fangs sunk into his skin, giving Haro the chance to attack him.
"Drowning Katana."
Using water from pond, Haro materialized a non-lethal Katana of water.
Haro charged at Crawler, giving him several slashes and and knocking him down. With his enemy defeated, Haro said, "Before I get rid of you, tell me a little more about yourself."
Crawler pointed his gun arm at himself trying to kill himself instead of spilling, but the wolf clenched down on his arm with his ravenous teeth.
"Fine. I'm from the future like you."
Haro was surprised by this revelation, and asked, "But...how? Why did you end up here?"
"Get your blasted wolf off my arm and I'll tell you more than I took a test from a very bad person and by completing it he rewarded me with a trip here."
The wolf immediately backed away from Crawler, and ran over to Haro. Haro nodded, and allowed him to continue.
"You see, your an amateur ninja who got lucky to travel back before you. You think defeating me will help you stop the daiymo? Your in over your head with nothing but a blade and measly water jutsu."
"You're crazy!" Haro exclaimed. "Come to think of it, what sort of tests did they put you through before you got here, Mr. Mutated Hand?" he asked.
"It's not a mutation, it's a jutsu that turns my body into a weapon. They made me through tests where they see how I lack empathy and can kill on command."
"Whoa...that sounds like a pretty cool jutsu. Yet, I can't help but feel pretty bad for you, especially with what you've been through before you got here." Haro said.
"Really?" Crawler asked, sporting a very surprised expression. "Thank you." he replied, nodding his head.
Crawler would never join sides with Haro, he was just going to leave him alone.
"However, I'd rather be on my own. I don't need any allies to accompany me." Crawler said, before slowly walking away from Haro and the wolf.
Haro dealt with his assassin problem so now all he needed was to wait for Taiyuri to get back so they could do a flimsy plan of meeting the daimyo.
After some time passed, Haro noticed Tayuri walking towards him. "Good to see you again, Taiyuri!" he said with a smile.
"Hey, Haro. Uh...who's this animal that's following you for some reason?" Tayuri asked.
Haro looked at the wolf. The wolf growled a little until Haro touched Taiyuri's shoulder.
"Taiyuri-sensei, meet Dato and Dato meet Taiyuri-sensei."
"Dato? Is that his name?" he asked.
"Yes, I've decided to come up with a name for him, so that's that." Haro replied.
The wolf licked Haro's hand surprisingly after Haro gave it that name.
Haro laughed as he noticed Dato, and smiled while stroking its head. "So where did that wolf come from?" Taiyuri asked.
"I was meditating in a cave, and one of the wolves sleeping there decided to nap next to me. When I decided to leave, it wanted to accompany me, so I allowed it to." Haro replied.
"You are very lucky. Wolves in these woods eat all men and even women. How they didn't eat you is a mystery."
"It didn't have intention in harming me, neither did its siblings." Haro said. Taiyuri was very impressed by that statement.
"Seems there's more to you than just a kid looking to be a medical ninja. If possible you could be more than that."
"I could...I'll just have to wait and see." Haro replied.
"Good. For now, turn around and let me see your back for wounds."
Haro turned around willingly and raised his shirt up for Taiyuri to see his back. "There's not even a scrat-"
It was before Haro could even finish, he felt a draining sensation flow through him. It was Taiyuri who was draining his energy.
"Foolish kid. Next time you meet an adult who is willing to help you, be cautious of him. I'll be taking your chakra now."
Dato jumped up and gnawed at Taiyuri's elbow. Dato squeezed very hard to protect his new friend, but Taiyuri jabbed his kunai in the wolf's belly.
Haro was horrified as he saw his supposed master stab his wolf friend in the stomach. Taiyuri smirked as he looked down at them, and said, "I must go now; excuse me."
"Dato!" Haro exclaimed as he did all he could to patch Dato up.
He used what he had left to heal with his chakra. His chakra no longer oscillated and his blood was even oxygenating slowly. Dato looked over at Haro, nuzzling its head against his. Haro couldn't help but shed a tear as he smiled at the wolf, and gave it a hug. He could no longer feel his inner strength with water. Worse of all, Taiyuri stole his blade after stealing what made him a medical nin, chakra.
"Dato...I'll avenge you soon...I promise!" he said to Dato.
The wolf shook his head, and Haro stood, determined to find his real friends and stop Taiyuri at all costs.
He walked feeling dizzy and decrepit with his chakra. He kept walking until he saw something a young teenage boy like him would see...a girl with short haired cat-esque bangs taking a bath in a pool of water.
He expected her to scream in terror, but she seemed mildly interested. "Aren't you gonna wash my back?" she asked.
Haro looked up. Above him were dozens of cats with murderous looks on their faces.
"You're...You're leading me into a trap! I ain't falling for that!" he exclaimed.
"Oh, no I'm not. Come and join me, sweetie." she said with a small smirk.
Haro was too weak to fight. He and Dato turned around to walk away, but waiting for them were three hissing cats just doing their best to lure him into whatever this stranger was planning.
"Haro!"
Haro recognized that shouting voice. It was Rei...and it sounded like Koki was with her. But how he wondered, they were from the future.
"Do...Do I know you?" Haro asked.
"Of course you do! Don't you remember me?" Rei asked.
"You remember me right, we were thick as thieves. Remember when we fought those bandits or had to teach our sensei how to count...he thinks one is still five." Koki said.
"Rei...Koki...there's something I need to tell you. Taiyuri...he's...he's gone mad!" Haro exclaimed.
The strange girl grinned as she emerged from the pool, her fingers turning into claws.
What's worse was how her cats assembled into what looked like a merging-and soon they transformed into a behemoth of a cat with three tails and three eyes. Dato was up against this ferocious monster.
"Hurry...I need your help!" Haro told Rei and Koki.
"Looks like he's up against something really intimidating; let's help him out already!" Koki told Rei.
Dato growled waiting for a chance to pounce. The ferocious giant cat swiped at him. What happened next was unfathomable, Dato disappeared and a lot appeared in his place. The cat was confused. Little did it know, Dato now could use Haro's ninja abilities and possessed human chakra.
Even when he was injured by Taiyuri, Dato was still capable of kicking ass. The clones lunged straight at the giant cat, barking, biting and clawing at the creature. Other clones also took their chance at attacking the cat woman as well.
She however easily defeated them with one claw. Luckily for Dato, Rei and Koki were ready to give the cat woman and her minion a major surprise.
Rei used her strength bestowed being a Lee to jump high and kick a tree branch so hard it launched towards the cat woman. Koki took out his explosive shurikens and used his wind chakra to rotate them around his body.
The cat woman noticed the branch landing on her, which hit her so hard she hit the ground. The shurikens from Koki then flew towards the cat monster, hitting its body several times, and causing it to growl.
The cat monster was really trying to find a way of hurting the ones that hurt it.
It then brought its claws down to Koki, giving him a bit of a wound as it slashed at his torso. At the same time, the cat woman was trying to get up, but due to the impact of the branch landing on her, she could only get herself on all fours instead.
It seemed like she was pinned, but little did they at first know she could move like a real cat.
She lunged for Rei, wanting to strike back at the ninja. Indeed, her claws sunk into Rei's torso, until Rei slammed her fists into her upper body area, effectively stunning her with the power in her attacks.
The cat lady nearly coughed out blood from the blow she made.
Rei provided the finishing blow by kicking her in the head, and prompting the cat woman to be knocked onto a tree, defeated and perhaps dead.
Haro wanted her to get back up, letting her die in such a stupid and nonsensical act of violence would give him nightmares. He walked to her and he moved his palms where her injuries were.
He couldn't manifest any chakra from his fingers, she died five seconds after he came to that realization.
Somehow, before she died, the cat woman said, "If only...I was less cruel..."
Haro nodded, before she closed her eyes.
Haro knew now he needed to train, train back to the ninja he used to be. He needed his friends help.
Upon noticing its master dead, the cat monster had already fled, hopefully never to be seen by Haro and his friends again.
Haro turned to Rei and Koki and said, "Listen...Taiyuri stole my chakra, and without it, I don't think I'm game enough to fight. I need both of you to help me find him!"
"Taiyuri?! I thought he seemed like a nice guy!" Koki exclaimed.
Haro thought that too. When Dato returned victorious from his fight against the ferocious cat monster, Rei punched Haro's shoulder with an inch of her strength-it hurt wimpy Haro.
"Ow...watch it!" he exclaimed.
"Hey, it's a way of saying 'I got your back!' So where do we go?" Rei asked.
"Lets camp here for a few days. I need both of your help to teach me basic ninja skills like climbing trees, doing super jumps, and substitution."
"Sure, let's do that!" Rei replied with a nod.
