At Hestia's dinner plateā¦
We had been traveling for a while, and then I saw Hestia. I waved and called to her. She called back.
"How are you Assassin? It's been so long!"
"I'm fine, a few new scars and no place to sleep, but other than that same old same old. And you?" I asked, sitting down at her table. She saw me and Seth conspicuously staring at the food.
"Oh, I'm sorry I forgot my manners, Seth, Assassin would you two lie some food?"
"How do you know my name?" Seth asked as he sat down on the table bench next to me.
"I'm the goddess of the home and hearth Seth. I know who you are. Besides any friend of the Assassin is a friend of mine."
"Hestia, what is going on? Why is it vital to my next job that Seth and I are together?" I asked her.
"Assassin, something bad is happening. The gods are merging."
"You mean the Roman and the Greek gods?" Seth asked. Hestia nodded.
"Gaea is rising, and this time you can't be one of the ones stopping her."
"What? Why?"
"Something else is coming Assassin. Something big. And you ne dot be here to stop it."
"What is happening?"
"It doesn't matter, just find Luka-"
"Luka is gone. He doesn't want me to find him, you know that."
"He does now. Something is happening and he needs you Assassin. Do not give help to people who ask. Do not look back. Your life and Seth's and possibly the world's lies in Luka and your hands now."
"But-"
"Assassin! Listen to me. You will find help with the daughter of Bellona. Do not fail. Do not lose sight for your goal. The world may depend on it." And then she disappeared.
