I do not own Harry Potter.
Harry opened his eyes and sat up, shaking his head to clear his mind.
"Are you alright?" asked Hermione.
"Yeah."
"What happened?" asked Draco.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you," replied Harry evasively before standing and offering Hermione and Luna each a hand up. He turned to Griphook and said, "Shall we head to the Slytherin vault now?"
Griphook nodded and said, "Everyone else will have to wait here. Only you may travel to the vault until it has accepted you as the Lord."
Harry nodded and said, "We'll be back soon."
", we should all head to our vaults separately now so that we can leave sooner," added Draco.
"Yes, that's a good idea," replied Daphne.
"We should all get some money to cover expenses for the foreseeable future, and grab anything from your vault that you think will be useful. Especially books that might provide some solutions to our current predicament," said Blaise.
"We don't have anything to put our stuff in," reminded Hermione. "And don't forget we're wearing borrowed clothes. I hate to say it but we're going to need to pick up some clothes and whatever supplies are needed for the current sixth year curriculum before we head back to Hogwarts."
Harry looked at Griphook and asked, "Does the bank sell anything that we could use to carry items out of our vaults… Perhaps a multi-compartment trunk that shrinks? This way we could put what we buy in it as well?"
Griphook sneered and said, "Of course. We sell a variety of goblin made items for just such a purpose. We can head there now before we separate and head to the different vaults."
"Great, thank you. Also, before we leave the bank today I want to make sure everyone here is part of House Peverell and House Slytherin. When we go to Hogwarts it's imperative that we only need to give our first names and indicate we are under House Peverell. I'm hoping I won't need to reveal House Slytherin to anyone but want to have it in my back pocket just in case."
The goblin sized Harry up for several moments before he nodded and replied, "I will see that it is done."
"We won't need to go to the Ministry, will we?" asked Hermione.
"No, we will send them the appropriate documents for their records."
"If we're all going by Peverell then we'll need to make sure we buy everything using House Peverell. And we should split up when we go shopping to cover more ground quickly. Two of us can get clothes, obviously Blaise and me. Draco and Hermione can get the books, which leaves Harry and Luna to get the supplies. We just need to remember to buy enough of everything for the six of us," said Daphne.
"Great, shopping with Daphne. Just what I was hoping we would do today," complained Blaise.
Draco chuckled until Daphne smacked him in the stomach and said, "Watch it or I'll only buy you clothes in Gryffindor colors."
Even Harry snickered at that.
…
Six hours later an exhausted group found themselves standing in the Headmaster's office trying to explain their sudden appearance in 1975 and their desire to enroll as sixth year Slytherin's.
"You cannot tell me how you arrived here in 1975?" asked Headmaster Dumbledore.
Harry shook his head and said, "No, sir, but I can assure you it was an accident."
"Can you tell me what year you have traveled from?"
Harry looked to Luna, who shrugged, then he replied, "1996, sir."
"And you are all in your sixth year in 1996?"
"Yes, sir."
Luna went to object, but Daphne shushed her with a motion of her hand.
"Fascinating. Simply fascinating."
Everyone looked around unsure how to respond but Dumbledore continued on, "Of course I will let you join the current sixth year class. You will have to be sorted again so that I know where to place you."
"Slytherin, sir. We are all Slytherin's," interrupted Draco.
Dumbledore turned and eyed them all skeptically, not believing Draco.
Hermione broke first and said, "It's imperative we all stay together Headmaster. And Slytherin makes the most sense for the group, because there are more Slytherin's than any other house."
Draco glared at Hermione.
Dumbledore frowned and said, "I'm afraid I must insist on a sorting."
"I'm afraid that's not going to happen Headmaster," replied Harry, moving to stand directly in front of the group, inches away from Dumbledore. He presented his hand and willed the Slytherin ring to reveal itself. The headmaster's eyes widened, and he took several moments before he was able to form a coherent sentence.
"How… I don't understand… Slytherin House has been unclaimed for quite some time?"
Harry willed the ring to disappear then shrugged. "It's a long story, and one I cannot tell you without revealing things from the future you should not know. Needless to say, I do not plan on making my status known, in fact I would have preferred you not know. Do you understand now why I want us all placed in Slytherin?"
Dumbledore nodded and said, "Yes. I suppose it can be arranged given the extenuating circumstances."
"Thank you."
Harry noticed Hermione was squirming uncomfortably and held her hand, squeezing it in support. She smiled at him shyly then looked forward again.
"Now, that just leaves the matter of your backstory. Do you have a plan?"
Daphne stepped forward and handed the Headmaster a piece of parchment from Gringotts. After a moment the Headmaster said, "You are all registering under House Peverell?"
They all nodded.
"Another house that has been dormant for some time," muttered Dumbledore.
"Gringotts was able to provide our OWL results from the future, obviously withholding the date, so that you can include them in your school records. Our plan is to tell everyone that we were privately tutored prior to enrolling here," said Harry.
Dumbledore nodded and said, "Well then I guess that just leaves getting you moved into Slytherin."
Harry nodded and waited as Dumbledore asked Phineas Black to notify Professor Slughorn that he was needed in the Headmaster's office. He turned back to the group and said, "You all look quite tired. Will you be ready to start classes in the morning?"
"Of course, Sir," replied Hermione for the group.
Blaise snickered but stopped when Daphne elbowed him in the stomach.
"Very well then, let me put together your schedules while we wait for Professor Slughorn."
"No one is taking muggle studies," said Draco.
"What, why?" asked Hermione angrily.
"We're Slytherin's in 1975, that's why."
"But…"
"He's right," added Daphne and Blaise.
Hermione looked to Harry hopefully, but he shook his head and said, "Sorry Mione, but they're right."
Dumbledore asked, "Any other changes?"
Luna spoke up and said, "Hermione can't be without at least one of us in her classes."
Everyone looked at Luna questioningly except for Harry who merely clenched his jaw and fists before nodding to the Headmaster his assent.
"Luna?" asked Hermione.
"I can't explain," she replied.
Dumbledore looked over the schedules one last time, made a change then nodded in satisfaction. "I think that should do it," he said standing up and moving to hand each their schedule.
"Headmaster, you needed me?" asked Professor Slughorn as he entered the office.
"Ah, yes, Horace. Thank you for coming. I'd like to introduce you to some new sixth year students. They have just transferred in and the Hat sorted them all into Slytherin."
Horace smiled wide and said, "Excellent! Where did you transfer in from?"
"We were home schooled," replied Harry before he moved forward and shook Horace's hand. "Harry Peverell, Sir."
Horace beamed and said, "Peverell, you say?"
Harry nodded stepping back and motioning the others forward.
Daphne stepped forward first and did a small curtsy, "Daphne Peverell. It's nice to meet you Sir."
Hermione looked at her strangely before she stepped forward and shook Horace's hand, "Hermione Peverell, Sir."
Luna went next, moving forward and quickly hugging Horace, surprising everyone, "It's nice to see you Sir, I'm Luna."
Blaise chuckled and nodded at Horace, "Blaise, Sir."
Draco nodded last and said, "Draco, Sir."
"It's a pleasure to meet all of you, I'm sure we'll spend plenty of time together, but it's getting late so let me show you to your dorms."
"Thank you, Horace, but I believe one of the Lord suites is more appropriate. I will ask one of the house elves to clean up the largest of them in Slytherin for the Peverell's."
Horace was unable to hide the surprise in his face, "O…oh. I didn't realize."
Harry gestured with his hand and said, "Nonsense. I did not make it clear that I am Head of House Peverell."
Horace nodded unsure what to reply.
"Well, off you go. An elf will meet you in Slytherin to show you to your suite," said Dumbledore.
"Thank you, Headmaster," said Harry, leaning forward to shake his hand. The others nodded at the Headmaster before they left his office.
When Harry was the only one left Dumbledore warned, "Terrible things happen to wizards that meddle with time, Lord Peverell. Keep that in mind when you are interacting with everyone here."
Harry nodded, not seeing the look of grave concern etched on the Headmaster's face as he exited the office.
….
By the time they made it to their suite Hermione was barely able to control herself. She realized belatedly that Daphne and Luna were talking but honestly, she couldn't stop herself if she tried. She roughly pushed Harry backwards into a closed door, opened it and shoved him through, quickly shutting it behind her. Before either of them could take in the décor of the bedroom she was on him again, jumping up and wrapping her legs around his waist and forcing him to hold her up as she kissed him passionately. He moaned and turned them around, opening his eyes so he could walk them towards the bed. He slowly kneeled on the bed before he lowered her completely and gazed at her, "Mione?"
She placed her finger over his lips and said, "Please, Harry, I need you."
He kissed her finger then lowered himself on top of her, happy to oblige as he resumed their kiss.
….
"Well, I guess they're going to take that bedroom," said Blaise shaking his head as he walked to the other doors, opening them one at a time. After looking at them all he finally said, "I'm going to take this one."
Luna approached Draco and said, "You should join them, Hermione's need is going to wear off soon and they'll both want you with them."
Draco sighed but didn't respond.
"They haven't forgotten you, Draco. That ritual made Hermione Harry's primary mate. She's going to need to satisfy her urges often. It will settle down over time. The rest of us will feel it too, just to a lesser extent, depending on the order we were taken in the ritual."
"Hermione and I… we were… I don't know how to explain it, but we were something. Did the ritual change that?"
Luna shook her head and said, "I don't think so. It was always the three of you in all of my visions."
"But things are different now."
"Yes, but I won't know more until I've seen it."
"You'll need Harry tonight, won't you?"
"Yes."
"Well then why don't we choose our rooms and clean up. Give them an hour or so and I'll go in and get him for you."
"Thank you, Draco."
Draco nodded and moved to see which rooms were still available, deciding to take the room to the right of Harry and Hermione. Luna took the room between him and Daphne, while Blaise took the end room. There was still one empty room on the left side of Harry and Hermione's room. An hour later Draco exited his room, freshly showered and wearing green silk pajamas the elves had left for him. He was surprised to find Daphne, Blaise and Luna all wearing the same pajamas. They were sitting by the fire chatting and drinking hot cocoa.
"You look comfy," said Blaise.
"As do you," replied Draco, leaning down to pick up a hot cocoa off the table.
"The house elves were kind enough to bring these to us," said Luna, motioning to the hot cocoa.
"I never thought I'd see the day that Daphne Greengrass and Luna Lovegood were wearing the same thing," mused Blaise.
Draco chuckled taking in the witches matching green silk nightgowns.
Daphne grinned and said, "Oh shush you."
"Green suits you Luna," added Draco.
"I agree," said Blaise.
"Thank you."
"How are you all feeling?" asked Draco.
"Much better after taking a nice long bath," replied Daphne.
"Wish I could say the same but I'm still quite sore," answered Blaise.
Draco grimaced and said, "Yeah, me too."
"Harry wasn't nearly as gentle with you two as he was with Hermione, Daphne and I," replied Luna.
"I noticed," griped Blaise.
"I take it you're not craving his attention again?" asked Draco.
"Not bloody likely."
Draco laughed as did Daphne.
"You will. Just not as often," said Luna.
"Lovely. Something to look forward to."
"I'm sure he'll be easier on you next time, without the ritual forcing its will on him."
"I still can't believe this is happening. This morning I woke up in my bed at home, ready to start a new year, ready to join Draco in his crazy plan…. And now, we're back in 1975. Plus, I had sex with Harry Potter of all people. Never in a million years would I have believed you if you told me this was how my sixth year was going to start," said Daphne.
"Umm I think its crazier that I had sex with Harry Potter," added Blaise.
Daphne laughed and said, "True."
"Speaking of, I should go get him for you Luna," said Draco.
"Thanks."
"Night Draco," called Daphne.
He turned and raised his eyebrow in question.
"I know you'll stay with Hermione. See you in the morning."
He nodded and turned back walking to their door. He took a deep breath before he opened the door and entered, closing the door behind him. It took a moment for his eyes to adjust to the dark but when they did he saw Hermione laying on her side, Harry behind her kissing her shoulder softly. They both smiled at him and reached a hand out to him, beckoning him forward. He smiled and approached Harry's side of the bed.
"Hey," he said, ruffling his hand through Harry's messy hair.
"Hey," replied Harry, smiling at him.
"You look nice and relaxed."
"Hmm."
"Luna needs you."
Harry sighed and said, "I figured she would but honestly was hoping to just spend the night in bed with both of you."
Draco smiled and said, "Well go do your duty then hurry back to us. I'll keep Hermione busy while you're gone."
Harry chuckled and said, "I'm sure you will."
"Sorry to burst your bubble boys but I'm exhausted," said Hermione softly.
Harry looked especially proud of himself at her declaration.
Draco rolled his eyes dramatically and said, "Fine. I suppose I'll just have to settle for snuggling."
Harry sat up and moved the sheets off him and stood, motioning for Draco to take his place. Draco did so and gasped when Harry bent down and pulled him into a long soft kiss. Draco groaned and pulled Harry closer causing him to put his arms on either side of Draco to keep from falling on top of him.
He pulled away and swore, "Fuck."
Harry panted in his ear and said "Yeah."
"Go. See Luna. Before I change my mind."
"I want you…" Harry whispered, running his hands up Draco's shirt.
Hermione rolled over and watched them, "You two are so sexy right now."
Harry and Draco both groaned.
"Luna…" reminded Draco
Harry shook his head as he began pulling Draco's shirt off.
"You should go… Luna needs you," said Hermione sadly.
"I don't want to…"
"I know but you need to. And I'll be here with Draco waiting for you to return."
Harry nodded and stood up. He briefly kissed them both before heading to the bathroom to wash up.
"Now, what should we do?" asked Hermione mischievously
Draco laughed and pulled her on top of him, then pulled the covers over their heads and began kissing her.
….
Lily was on a mission. She hadn't seen the mysterious new students, nor had she heard anyone talking about them. It was past curfew, but she couldn't help but wonder if they made it back. Against her better judgement she decided to seek out Potter. She exited the girl's dorm and was relieved to see he was in the common room joking around with his friends, as usual. She quickly made a beeline to them but was surprised when everyone stopped talking and looked at her. She pulled her sweater straight self-consciously and asked, "What?"
The group just stared at her and she noticed the girls were glaring at her. "Um, sorry. James, do you think I could talk to you for a minute."
When he just stared at her she cleared her throat and said, "In private?"
The boys snickered and began cat calling, making Lily roll her eyes while she waited for James to get up. It took Sirius shoving him in the shoulder to get him moving.
Lily turned and walked away from the group, rolling her eyes at their antics. When James finally caught up to her he looked incredibly nervous. She smiled tightly at him and said, "Can we talk in your room? It's not very private here."
His eyes bulged as she started climbing the stairs. He made a noise which caused her to turn and she huffed, "Are you coming, or not?"
The entire common room laughed in response and he quickly scurried up the stairs after her, not needing to be asked twice. When she got to the top she waited for him to motion which room was his, entering it after he opened the door. She looked around, wrinkling her nose at the mess.
"Um, Evans, I mean Lily… are you sure about this? I mean you've never really … shown an interest," said James as he sat on his bed.
She turned and looked at him in confusion, "What?"
James pulled his sweat shirt off, and toed off his sneakers, before he approached her. "I mean, not that I mind. I don't. I'm just surprised is all."
He was just a few inches from her now and she still had no idea what he was talking about. She looked in his eyes, surprised to see some flecks of gold shimmering. How had she never noticed that before?
James licked his lips and placed his right hand on her hip as he slowly leaned forward and brushed a soft kiss against her lips.
Lily gasped in surprise which James took to his advantage and deepened the kiss. He pulled her forward, snug against him and moaned when she returned the kiss. It was tentative and gentle at first, but then she ran her hand up his neck and he shivered in delight, turning the kiss quite passionate. He wrapped his arms around her tightly and turned them so that he was walking Lily backwards towards his bed. When they finally bumped up against it he lowered her to it and covered her completely. She shifted and gave him room to rest between her now spread legs.
"Fuck," James moaned before he began kissing and nipping her neck. "You have no idea how long I've wanted this," he gasped.
Lily's head was cloudy, and she was overwhelmed with the sensations she was feeling. How had this even happened? She wanted to see if James had seen or heard anything about the new students and then… what the hell was she doing? She gasped, eyes wide, and started to push against James, panicked. "Stop…"
"Hmm?" asked James as his hand began traveling up Lily's shirt.
She shook her head and pushed against him, but he was so much bigger than her. "James, please, stop," she whispered, tears clouding her eyes as she was overcome with fear.
"What?" he asked distractedly, moving to kiss her breast.
"Stop!" she cried, loud enough to break through his daze.
He stopped, frozen above her and immediately looked in her eyes, horrified to see she was crying. He moved off her as if had been shocked.
Lily covered her face, trying to pull herself together. She had never, ever done anything like this before and she didn't understand how it had happened. She didn't even like James.
He watched her, unsure what to do. "Lily? Are you alright? Did I do something wrong? I mean you seemed like you were enjoying yourself… I don't understand."
She sat up and sobbed harder as she pulled her shirt down.
He squirmed and asked, "Can you please stop crying?"
That did not help. At all.
He took a few steps forward and kneeled in front of her, "Do you want me to get Mary?"
She shook her head and wiped the tears off her face the best she could. "No. I'm alright."
"Are you sure?" he asked, obviously concerned.
She took several deep breaths and wiped her face again, "I'm sure."
James didn't look convinced. After several minutes he finally said, "I'm sorry. I thought you were enjoying yourself."
She laughed, somewhat hysterically, and said, "I was."
He frowned even more confused, "Then why…"
"I've never…" she looked away embarrassed.
"Oh." James said wide-eyed.
"Yeah."
"But why me? Why now? I mean you sought me out… I have to admit I was really surprised."
Lily frowned and said, "What are you talking about?"
"You came to me… just like the others."
"What? I don't understand what you're talking about James."
His eyes widened, and it dawned on him, "You didn't come to me for sex, did you?"
"What? No!" she shrieked, horrified.
He chuckled and covered his face, ashamed he assumed Lily would do that.
"Why are you laughing?" she shrieked.
He stopped, not wanting to anger her. "I'm sorry, Lily. Truly. I should have never assumed you would do that…"
"Would you just explain Potter, before I hex you!"
"When the girls want to spend time with me… in bed… they ask me if we can talk in private…."
"You mean to tell me witches just walk up to you and ask to talk to you in private? And then you… you…"
"Have sex," he replied mischievously.
Lily's mouth opened and closed, unable to form words. How many times had she heard witches ask him just that… and he would always just smile and nod, following them wherever they lead him. "Oh my God, I'm so embarrassed!"
James chuckled and said, "Don't be. I should have known you wouldn't do that. I'm sorry for not thinking with my head."
Lily squeaked in embarrassment and James covered his face with his hands, "Merlin, this is awkward," he replied chuckling. He sat down on the bed next to her and asked, "So now that we know what you don't want … what did you want to talk about?"
She huffed, annoyed that she was still so embarrassed. "I wanted to see if you had heard anything about the new students?"
He shook his head and said, "No. I've not seen them either. Have you?"
Lily shook her head, "Do you think they made it back alright?"
"Probably," he responded slowly. Seeing that she wasn't convinced he asked, "Do you want to go take a walk and look for them?"
"It's after curfew…"
He grinned mischievously and said, "And?"
She rolled her eyes and said, "Potter, are you trying to corrupt me?"
"Maybe. Is it working?" he asked flirtatiously.
She laughed and said, "Not a chance." Then she stood and said, "Let's go."
"I thought it wasn't working?" he teased.
"It's not. Now hurry up Potter, before I find someone else to break the rules with," she said exiting his room.
He laughed as he scurried after her, running down the stairs to catch up with her.
"Oi! You didn't last long," snickered Sirius, making Lily blush and James flush with anger. He flipped Sirius the bird and said, "Get you mind out of the gutter, Black. Lily only wanted to talk to me about something."
"Oh, Thank Merlin, I was worried you had fed her a love potion," said Remus.
The common room burst out laughing as James blushed red in embarrassment. To his surprise, Lily leaned over and kissed him on the cheek then said, "James would never do that."
Everyone stared in shock as Lily pulled him by the hand towards the fat lady, yelling behind her, "We'll be back."
